Brown est devenu bien connu dans les années 1960 avec des chansons qui ont brisé les frontières générationnelles, notamment "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag", "I Got You (I Feel Good)" et It's A Man's Man's Man's World. Succès international, "How Do You Stop" a été suivi de deux tubes R&B, "I'm Real" et "How could You Hurt Me". Cela l'a amené à purger 6,5 ans au State Park Correctional Center. THE GOAT my co-host and I got to interview Chelsea Handler before she went on stage here in Cincinnati on her latest, Vaccinated and Horny Tour 2021. So how horny is she? I asked her, she answers ;)
These Cincy born and bred musicians are taking us all by storm with their latest EP Wildfire which they co-wrote with Dan Auerbach NBD. But working with big name talent like Dan isn't anything new for these guys. Since day one they have been catching the attention of music industry big wigs and artists who have some grit in the game-showing them how to play big songs and make big music. I enjoyed the shit out of this interview/conversation and love their music just the same. As they head out on tour with St. Paul and the Broken Bells and a fresh track of songs to sink their teeth into I'd say we caught them at a pretty great time to be a Heavy Hour. Please enjoy John, AJ, and Mike (not interviewed was Flint) we'll see ya next time man. Listen here to the Wildfire EP
Its hard to write an intro about a guy who has given so much to so many. I feel like no matter what I say here is going to be good enough. After growing up in the foster system Kick Lee decided he's gotta give back and love those around him the only way he knows how- through music. He started The Cincinnati Music Accelerator with the dream and vision to empower other artists like himself by teaching them alllll the stuff no one tells you you gotta know to be successful in the music industry. From negotiating classes to pop-up concerts, Kick is on a mission to create a watering hole of culture for musicians and artists alike right here in Cincinnati. A deep soul and even bigger heart, enjoy Kick Lee.
Frank is hilarious and an excellent weather man. Did you know he speaks in "news weather voice" all the time and that one of his kids has a secret TikTok account? Or do you just want to know more drama behind the news media!? We laugh our way through this one. Enjoy!
OOHHH this is a love story and a success story ! These two make a perfect combo- she is type A and he is just not :) Together they made Good Plates Eatery in Clifton - open now. Rudy Harris is running the premiere communications and marketing agency in Cincinnati- and a really rad dude and now a friend of mine. He believes in hard work and more than anything- paying in forward, which I couldn't agree with more. Ladies and Gentlemen- Rudy Harris of Harris Media Co.
You ever met someone you just love so much you want everyone else to know about them- that's how I feel about Aaron! A great friend and colleague, he has followed his passions through life which has secured him in the non-profit sector at the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Enjoy babes :)
You know why this woman sparks joy? Because she finds humor in everything, including the process of helping her mom pass a few years back due to cancer. Joy and humor in the toughest of times is my jam and it's an honor to share Keli's story with yall. She is now the proud founder and owner of a passion project turned thriving business : Colette Paperie - a notecard, magnet, notepad, keychain, sticker company born right from her heart in her house. My personal favorite notecard reads, "..to someone who absolutely smashed it every damn day" - Yeah, that's Keli ;)
Talent manager by day, Model and Podcaster by night. Krissy Grote tackles fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, design and community on her podcast , "What the F*t?!". Making Girlies out of us all by celebrating those around her and championing the power of storytelling. This is Krissy's third time on with us, and we are totally on the Mental Health vibe :)
In what is said to be one of the hardest things a person can go through, Laura and her family experienced the birth of her still born baby girl Scout in 2017. In 2019 she came on and told us about it. This is a re-post in anticipation for the update I am posting in the next episode. It's worth it to re-listen- or for the first time- and get the tissues ready. This one is a special one and Laura makes the toughest conversation flow with ease and Grace* :) Enjoy and look out for the next one.
Did I meet an Alaskan reality TV star in the airport on my way to Alaska and did he make our trip incredible? You're goddamn right we did. And did I make him cry? You're goddamn right I did ;) But I swear it wasn't on purpose. It's actually a crazy intense story he tells in this full disclosure convo. When life gives you lemons you just gotta make some freakin lemonade. From a diner in Wasilla AK, on 3 hours sleep, 7 cups coffee, smelling a hott mess, straight from dogsledding, nervous and sweating though my Carhartts...this is our little convo of me and my new favorite Alaskan, Marty Raney.
Nat Jones, RPh, FAPC, joins co-hosts Mike and Sebastian to discuss the immune system and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They also share how compounding pharmacies can assist patients with immune support and improving overall health.

Simply put, this just keep getting better and better :)
OK so this year, Ashley Dawn - my ride or die - and I have decided to dedicate every Thursday to weighing in our goals for this year. After the sh*t show of 2020 we decided to clean it up. I myself started smoking again and reached proper lush status- and while Ashley lost 30lbs and made major improvements-she is still not where she wants to be on many levels. SO we decided to make this time and this year - ours, together, and to share it with ya'll bc why not. Share your story and see what happens. Wish us luck and come on this wild ride we dont know whats going to happen either. ALSO .. I wish I could say we are appropriate for everyone but alas...we are not..we do have adult language and topics so keep that in mind while listening. Also, we are starting this off rough style..all we have right now are goals, and we are working at those and letting the rest fall into place. ENJOY and get in our DM's with any questions or comments. natalie@wkrq.com / @natjooones + ashley@b105.com / @ashley.on.air ----- CHEERS!!!

This special episode features Doc, VF and Nickel discussing Nickel's first time at a comic conference, the 2014 Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo. The guys discuss media accrediation, the venue, parking, Alice Cooper, the Image Comics artists panel (featuring Chip Zdarsky, Nat Jones, and Vic Malhotra), cosplay, and walking the floor at a con. An unpolished, unplanned episode that fits in perfectly between landmark episodes 34 and 35. Shorter in length, but longer in Nickel.
Desmond and Darryll are back from the Fan Expo Vancouver, and this episode has the audio to prove it! We interview people from film, publishing, and comics. Young upstarts and wizened masters of their craft. The Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska, are back again to talk about conventions, growing up the "weird girls," and their new film American Mary. David Prowse talks to us about playing Darth Vader in the Star Wars films and working on several Hammer Horror films. Robin Bougie from Cinema Sewer joins us to talk exploitation cinema and hot grandmas. Artist Jason Copland stops by to talk about Kickstarting the printed version of his popular webcomic Kill All Monsters. We talk with artist Nat Jones of Image Comics' '68 about the resurgence of Vietnam in film and literature and Frank Frazetta. Finally, the master of modern realism in comic books, Neal Adams, tolerates Desmond's fanboy drooling for several minutes! There's songs too! Hokey smokes, it's a rare instance of an honest-to-gosh themed episode, this time taking a look at racism in comics with Night of the Living Dead Annual 2011 by Mike Wolfer from Avatar, BOOM's fantastic first issue of Planet of the Apes from Darly Gregory, Carlos Magno, and company, '68 by Mark Kidwell, Nat Jones, Tim Vigil, and Jay Fotos from Image Comics, and Ape Entertainment's Black Dynamite by Brian Ash, Jun Lofamia, and Michael Jai White! Plus, we have plenty of time left over to explore Strange Tales II, Dark Horse Presents #1 (featuring Paul Chadwick, Frank Miller, Neal Adams, Richard Corben, Carla Speed McNeil, Michael T. Gilbert, Howard Chaykin, and more), Finder, 28 Days Later, Pete Bagge's HATE Annual #9 from Fantagraphics, a pair of Image Comics' recent color-themed books in Green Wake #1 by Kurtis Wiebe and Riley Rossmo, and Blue Estate #1 from Viktor Kalvachev, Andrew Osborne, Robert Valley, Toby Cypress, and Nathan Fox, Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog, Free Comic Book Day 2011, Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard's Super Dinosaur #1, Tom Scioli, and a whole mess more!
