A new pony car has arrived on the scene just as all of its competitors are departing. Sami tells us all about his time in the 2024 Ford Mustang, starting with the EcoBoost model and its auto-only setup and then the real-deal GT with its 5.0-liter V8 engine. While that's enough for most, the Mustang seems loaded gimmicky features like drift brake, remote rev, line-lock and retro-themed digital dashes. Is it even trying at this point as all of its rivals wave from the sidelines, or is this the best Mustang yet? Then Benjamin has his time in the all-show, no-go version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema Edizione. Looking like the 505-hp Quadrifoglio, but packing a more modest powertrain, Ben flips between loving and hating this Italian sport sedan, and for good reason. Be sure to hear his explanation before subscribing to the podcast, and maybe even connecting with us over email or social media. Thanks for listening!

Benjamin plops himself into the driver seat of yet anout $70,000 machine boasting more than 500 horsepower,, This time it's the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. After driving a pair of hi-po BMW M cars back-to-back, how does this rare Italian fare? Sami gets his hands on the accessible and impressive 2022 Honda Civic, a "compact" car that's as long as a not-so-old Honda Accord. The pair wonder if compact cars are gone for good while Sami explains the major differences between this Civic and the previous generation.

Lisaks sellele räägime sellest, kuidas Euroopa Komisjonil on plaan jõuliselt sekkuda sõiduautode emissioonide maailma. Näiteks võidakse edaspidi määrata tootjatele trahve ning koristada ära terveid mudeleid terve Euroopa Liidu lõikes. Kirsiks tordil rajati endale ka kaks testimislaborit, kus autosid kontrollima hakatakse. Maailma aasta auto kandidaadid on selgunud. Tõsi, esialgu on tegemist suhteliselt pika nimekirjaga. Ometigi on meil juba mõni auto sellest listist sõidetud. Arutleme, kas mõni neist võiks olla aasta auto vääriline. Velile teeb veel erilist tuska see, et aasta sportautode nimistusse on end nihverdanud linnamaasturid. Proovisõiduautoks oli sel nädalal Alfa Romeo Giulia. Sel korral mitte päris Quadrifoglio nagu Stelvio, millega hiljuti sõidetud sai, kuid siiski auväärse 202 kW-ga nelikveoline sportsedaan. Meie hinnangul on tegemist ühe kõige ilusama sportsedaaniga üldse, mida hetkel saada on. Millised on nende sõidukitega suurimad erinevused? Seda kuula juba saatest. Saatejuhtideks on Jan-Matthias Mandri ja Veli Rajasaar.

This episode is all about leasing — or in other words, spending on depreciation versus investing in a car. There’s a certain cost of transportation that you just can’t beat, calculating Total Cost of Ownership. Paying more than that for something special (for example, a magnificent Alfa Romeo Giulia) can be worth it, but when you look at the upcharge for the QV, the cost is staggering. The explanation is a combination of the car’s depreciation, but also more likely manufacturer-sponsored lease incentives, which can hugely benefit the lease customer. So when should you lease? When should you buy? And when should you buy used?In this episode, Carmudgeons Derek and Jason discuss different ways of looking at investing your money in cars — and why a calculated, expected loss is absolutely fine. So long as you’re getting enough pleasure from the car.=he Carmudgeon Show is a comedic, information-filled conversation with Jason Cammisa and Derek Tam-Scott, two car enthusiasts who are curmudgeonly beyond their years. Proving you don’t have to be old to be grumpy, they spend each episode talking about what’s wrong with various parts of the automotive universe. Despite their best efforts to keep it negative, they usually wind up laughing, happy, and extolling their love for cars. Which just makes them angrier and more bitter.ISSIMI is an enthusiast-owned, full-service specialist offering sales, consignment, collection management, service, and consulting to discerning enthusiasts and collectors. How far has the Porsche Cayenne fallen behind the rest of the luxury people mover pack? Sami discusses his disappointment with what was once a class leader after driving the 2019 model. Benjamin, on the other hand, has a surprisingly positive encounter with the 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio after failing to be impressed by the standard, non-performance model. He compares it back-to-back against the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 SUV, which may be one of the last V8-powered muscle trucks from the German brand.
