Rubén Darío (1867-1916) fue un poeta, diplomático y periodista nicaragüense, considerado el máximo exponente del modernismo literario en lengua española. Su nombre completo era Félix Rubén García Sarmiento, y nació en Metapa (hoy Ciudad Darío), Nicaragua. Desde joven mostró un talento precoz para la poesía y una vasta cultura literaria. En 1888 publicó en Chile su libro “Azul...”, obra que marca el inicio del modernismo y que renovó profundamente la poesía en español al incorporar influencias francesas (parnasianismo y simbolismo), mitología, musicalidad y un lenguaje más estético y sensorial.En 1896 publicó “Prosas profanas y otros poemas”, obra que consolidó su prestigio y que, con su riqueza verbal y exotismo, se convirtió en símbolo del modernismo. Posteriormente, con “Cantos de vida y esperanza” (1905), mostró una poesía más madura, reflexiva y comprometida, donde aparecen temas existenciales, políticos y espirituales. Además de su labor poética, Darío trabajó como periodista y diplomático, viajando por América y Europa, lo que le permitió difundir y consolidar el modernismo en el ámbito hispano. Fue una figura central en la renovación de la métrica, la musicalidad del verso y la exploración de nuevas temáticas en la poesía en español.Murió en 1916 en León, Nicaragua, siendo homenajeado como el “Príncipe de las letras castellanas”. Su obra tuvo una influencia decisiva en escritores posteriores como Antonio Machado, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Pablo Neruda y Octavio Paz.

En Argentina, la palabra “villa” —es la abreviación de es la versión abreviada de villa urbano marginal— se usa para referirse a asentamientos urbanos informales, que generalmente tienen construcciones precarias, ausencia o irregularidad en los servicios básicos (como cloacas, gas o agua corriente). Y también hablamos del trabajo acompañando con diseño a una comunidad peruana, en Argentina hay muchos inmigrantes peruanos. María Laura practica una arquitectura participativa con comunidades en situación vulnerable. Hablamos de una infraestructura de cuidados a escala urbana, y de la justicia erótica. Para los investigadores es un desafío cotidiano sostener ese deseo de contribuir a la ciencia. En el caso de María Laura su investigación toca temas de género y erotismo como fuerza vital, y también explora la idea de que los espacios cambian con nuestros cuerpos y nuestras decisiones.
