The hidden gambit of abusers to weaponize mental health allegations in post-separation parenting disputes is both cruel and cunning. As mentioned in the title of this episode, I also wax lyrical about the way in which I despise the way in which entitled abusers can so relentlessly seek equal shared care (or "50/50" parenting time). With the anticipated legislative reforms that will remove the presumption of equal shared parental responsibility (the decision making component of parenting) , we're on the cusp of a transformation in Australian family law. Through my lens as a Specialist Separation, Divorce, and Co-Parenting Coach, I celebrate the shift toward safeguarding the well-being of children, moving us past the archaic and abusive notion of treating kids as mere assets to be divided equally.Brace yourself as we navigate the treacherous landscape of legal and mental health challenges that surface during these high-stakes disputes. Equipped with practical guidance, I discuss the importance of standing firm against aggressive legal tactics and the power of facts in the courtroom. Mental health isn't just a point of contention—it's a critical area to bolster, through professional support and self-care, ensuring your resilience shines through.  What's more, I extend an invitation to you, offering a downloadable checklist and workbook to navigate post-separation abuse, and the opportunity for personal coaching or group membership to bolster your support system. Together, we are stronger, and in this episode, we unite in the journey to reclaim power in the face of adversity.  Let's go!I'm a specialist Separation & Divorce Coach based in Melbourne, Australia.I support women in the southern hemisphere who are navigating ongoing control and other forms of abuse after separation. To learn more about what I do, and how to work with me, visit: https://www.danielleblackcoaching.com.au For more information about post-separation abuse: https://www.danielleblackcoaching.com.au/thank-youFor more information about separation planning (including a checklist):https://www.danielleblackcoaching.com.au/separationplanningFollow me on Instagram: @danielleblackcoachingMORE SUPPORT (within Australia):1800RESPECT: 1800 737 732 Lifeline: 13 11 14 13 YARN on 13 92 76 (24/7 crisis support phone line for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples)

Slam the Gavel welcomes Jennifer Como to the podcast to discuss the red flags in a relationship and co-parenting with an abuser. This Family Court horror story actually began 16 years ago and the "one time" in 10 yrs that she sought protection and help from the courts, was actually the last time she saw her only daughter. Jennifer suffered through the psychological and physiological detriment of Domestic Violence Abuse, Child Sexual Abuse, Systemic Failure, Institutional Betrayal, Multigenerational Trauma while losing all faith and hope in the American legal system. Do advocacies, "said supports" such as doctors, schools, agencies, legislators, senators, law enforcement; those who profess safety and protection for Victims "do anything tangible" for victims? The answer is no. This is the ultimate Systemic Failure and Institutional Betrayal. Jennifer discussed Post Intimate Partner Violence, continuous (Vexatious) Litigation / Abusive Legal / Coercive Control / Abandonment / CPTSD.  We discussed why Shared Parenting does not work and the cause and effect and how Parental Alienation had a role to play.      In our next podcast we will discuss why CONGRESS doesn't care unless you die and why Judicial Accountability doesn't exist along with the power of Immunity. To Reach Jennifer Como: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TwitterSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comThe Jordan Harbinger ShowApple Best of 2018-Learn the stories, secrets & skills of the world's most fascinating pplListen on: Apple Podcasts Spotify Becoming You AgainBecoming You Again is for women going through divorce who need guidance and support. Jamil writes of Krissy's sudden status as a newly minted “bitcoin” millionaire in 2017 and her struggles as a “non-custodial” parent and her ongoing custody battle in Chester County Pennsylvania “Family” Court. Jamil details the story of how Krissy made money on cryptocurrency to donate to Ginger Gentile the Director of the Erasing Family social impact documentary, in order to make it free and available to educate the masses (including divorce attorneys!!) on the mental health crisis caused by “Family” Court.. Krissy Smith has been a proud and loud voice for the #PsychiatricSurvivor and the #FreeBritney movements. In the state of Pennsylvania, Krissy is an advocate for 50-50 Shared Parenting. She believes that anything less than that will perpetuate the mental health crisis underlying many suicides, homicides, and mass shootings in our society. Smith doesn't want others to suffer the same fate she has, missing out on the holidays with her offspring. To achieve that goal, she has been rallying support for HB 1397, a proposed Parenting Time bill in Pennsylvania. This bill promotes gender equality in custody determinations and aims to protect the right of children to continue to have both parents meaningfully involved in their lives following a separation or divorce. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/crypto-hipster-podcast/support

At the close of this week's Enterprise podcast, through tears, Jason Houck gave a shout-out to his two daughters.“I love you both and hope to see you again someday,” he said.Houck of East Berne chairs the New York Affiliate of the National Parents Organization. His organization is pushing for changes in state law that would make it more likely, after parents divorce or separate, to have their children spend half their time with each of their parents as long as those parents are fit and loving.Currently, he reports, the norm is that children spend 65 percent of their time with their mother and 35 percent with their father. He was divorced in 2011 and said he shared equal time with his daughters until 2013.“Their mother had moved to a different town and the normal things started to happen where they wanted to see me every other weekend and one night during the week, and I had become a little bit hardened to that,” he said.Houck went on, “I love my daughters. I was an involved father. I went to all their school functions, all their field trips.” His daughters had been were Berne-Knox-Westerlo students from kindergarten through elementary school. After the estrangement started, Houck said he tried father-daughter and family counseling and reunification counseling to no avail.“We began litigation in June of '16,” he said. “We didn't finish up litigation until January of 2021 — five years, seven adjournments in Family Court to try to get an ending verdict.” By the time the verdict came, his daughters had aged out of the system. For five years, Houck said, he had “no contact at full child support” and no finding on fitness. He also said, “When the estrangement happens with children, many times it cuts off an entire side of a family …. My mother lost the relationship with her grandchildren.” She had been “a primary caregiver” for his daughters, he said, “going through school, getting [them] on and off the bus before and after school.”Send letters, questions, or ideas to mhs@altamontenterprise.comaltamontenterprise.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Slam the Gavel welcomes back author Vincent McGovern to discuss why Mothers are not faring well in the adversarial Family Court System. He further explained that the mother's are very honest and forthright of their opinion and/or not prepared to play the game and therefore the outcome is disasterous. What Mother's do not understand is that a vindictive party/Father sets the tone and scene well in advance in preparing to ambush the Target Parent/Mother. The result of when a child is taken away from a loving, fit parent is a disturbed thought process in that child that will affect them years later, create mental illness and they will then have difficulty in future normal relationships. There is a Transition Phase, Switching and Splitting that will take place and this is explained in the podcast along with Mothers/parents being powerless against the false narrative that is entertained in the secretive Family Courtroom. Shared parenting, shared residence, joint residence, shared custody or joint physical custody is a child custody arrangement after divorce or separation, in which both parents share the responsibility of raising their children, with equal or close to equal parenting time. A regime of shared parenting is based on the idea that children have the right to and benefit from a close relationship with both their parents, and that no child should be separated from a parent. The term Shared Parenting is applied in cases of divorce, separation or when parents do not live together; in contrast, a shared earning/shared parenting marriage is a marriage where the partners choose to share the work of child-raising, earning money, house chores and recreation time in nearly equal fashion across all four domains. Shared parenting is different from split custody, where some children live primarily with their mother while one or more of their siblings live primarily with their father. Bird's nest custody is an unusual form of shared parenting where the child always lives in the same home, while the two parents take turns living with the child in that home. Its long-term use can be expensive as it requires three residences, and it is most commonly used as a temporary shared parenting arrangement until one parent has found a suitable home elsewhere. Frequency. The popularity of shared parenting is increasing. The frequency of shared parenting versus sole custody varies across countries, being most common in Scandinavia. In a comparative survey of 34 western countries conducted in 2005/06, the proportion of 11-15-year-old children living in a shared parenting arrangement versus sole custody was highest in Sweden (17%), followed by Iceland (11%), Belgium (11%), Denmark (10%), Italy (9%) and Norway (9%). Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Romania all had 2% or less. Among the English-speaking countries, Canada and the United Kingdom had 7% while the United States and Ireland had 5%. Shared parenting is increasing in popularity and it is particularly common in Scandinavia. By 2016/17, the percentage in Sweden had increased to 28%; with 26% for children aged 0-5 years, 34% among the 6-12 year old age group, and 23% among the oldest children ages 13-18. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/law-school/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/law-school/support

New Jersey's Children need us to use our collective VOICES and ensure our laws provide for equal access to both parents regardless of family structure. FAN-PAC in New Jersey is dedicated to giving our children a voice in the Family Courts Let's get started Bill A1091 & S273 revise the current laws governing both legal and physical custody of children when their parents separate. These bills provide clear guidance to the family court that our children are not leverage in litigation. By passing this law, our children will enjoy the benefits of the full love, nurturing, guidance, support and affection of two loving parents. It is time that our laws reflect a modern society where the family structures are different than they were when the current law was adopted. This law encourages parents to cooperate from the outset reducing the emotional strain on our children when parents separate. Let's work together to ensure our children are free to love both parents. This campaign has gained tremendous bi-partisan support in the legislature, however the hard work lies ahead. We need your Voice to be heard; join us, Make a Contribution, get involved. Doing nothing is no longer an option. Help us as we continue advocating for our children. Learn how this legislation will transform the childhood experience of thousands of New Jersey's children every year.
