As one of the country's best-known interior design experts and a television personality who has been a judge on The Block for 12 years, Shaynna Blaze is a busy woman. But last year, she surprised everyone when she appeared on The Masked Singer. Now she's ready to pursue her passion for music even further – with an upcoming EP of new songs and a series of cabaret shows in the works. Shaynna sat down with Sarrah in the Something To Talk About studio for a wide-ranging conversation about why she keeps reinventing herself, how landing her job at The Block was one of the most bizarre moments of her life, her return to music - and why she refuses to act her age. This episode touches on domestic violence. If you or someone you know needs help contact 1800RESEPECT. Find more information about Shaynna's music via shaynnablaze.com or on Instagram. Shaynna Blaze is an award-winning interior designer, author, entrepreneur, a producer, musician, and Australian television personality known for the long running series The Block and Selling Houses… And if this wasn't enough she is also the winner of Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2021. Shaynna is also a passionate advocate for the safety of women, and a social justice campaigner who has lent her voice to a number of organizations tackling domestic violence in Australia. Shaynna's new film The Fort, made with her two kids, is about a victim of domestic violence. Shaynna Blaze is no stranger to a 360 degree life makeover. She is the queen of reinvention and breathing new life into aspects of her career, focus and life. In this episode Shayna Blaze shares her journey of reinvention and rediscovery of herself. We discuss the importance of embracing change and taking leaps of faith in order to reinvent oneself. Shayna shares how she went through a period of exhaustion and adrenal fatigue, which led her to prioritise radical self-care and make changes in her lifestyle. She talks about the role of singing (and just last week she launched her first single WARRIOR available for download on all music apps) and yoga in rediscovering her happiness and reclaiming her identity. We also cover the topics of beauty, body image, and the perception of women in the media. In this conversation, Bahar and Shaynna discuss the factors that contribute to personal growth and self-discovery at different stages of life. Key Takeaways Reinvention can happen on different areas of life and is often triggered by significant events, loss or personal crisis. Taking care of oneself and prioritising activities that bring joy and happiness can contribute to a sense of reinvention and rediscovery. Beauty and sensuality are ageless qualities that can be embraced and celebrated at any stage of life. Self-perception and mindset play a crucial role in feeling confident and embracing one's best years. Physical treatments and skincare routines can be helpful in maintaining a youthful appearance, but it's important to choose what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Personal growth and self-discovery can happen at any age or stage of life. Finding one's purpose and accepting oneself are key to personal growth. Transparency in media and social media can help break the stigma around personal struggles. Arts can be a powerful tool for preventing violence and abuse. Incorporating green tea, collagen powder, and music into daily routines can have positive effects on well-being. Taking care of dental health is important for overall appearance and confidence. Shaynna Blaze is one of Australia's premium interior designers, but she has many other talents - like singing and running her own charity! She chats to Yvie today about her time on The Block, what it was like playing the Bluebottle on The Masked Singer and about her kids, who are also in entertainment. Shaynna also sheds a light on her work changing the cycle of abuse and how her kids have joined the project. Plus why her charity 'Voice of Change' is so important to her, and how it was nearly the reason she turned down Celebrity Apprentice. On today's podcast, I have ‘Shaynna Blaze,' who has just had her massive reveal on ‘The Masked Singer Australia' this week. If you missed 'Shaynna's' performance, as a singing Blue-Bottle you can check it out on 'Ten Play' because it was fantastic to see her smash those songs on Monday night! 'Shaynna Blaze' is an Australian interior designer, television personality, writer and former singer. She is best known for her work on shows like 'Selling Houses Australia' and a judge on 'The Block.' There has been much controversy about her time on 'Network Ten's' singing show as 'Masked Singer' is on at the same time as her other show 'The Block.' Which we all know is on 'Channel Nine.' I am a huge fan of Shaynna and it is a joy to chat with her today. I will ask ‘Shaynna if she asked 'Channel Nine' for permission and which co-stars from ‘The Block' have contacted her for congratulations? 'Shaynna' will discuss her singing voice and how she managed to keep this gig a secret from her family.. We will talk about 'Shaynna' about her singing ability and if she plans to focus on a singing career. I think she really should. Plus we will get plenty of exclusives from behind the scenes of ‘The Masked.' Which returns next Monday night on Network Ten and if you have fallen behind you can catch up on - on ‘Ten Play.' Shaynna Blaze is a woman of many talents: extraordinary interior designer, business owner, award-winning television personality on Selling Houses, hard-nosed judge on The Block, brand ambassador, author and former jazz singer. Shaynna started her first business at 22 after graduating from university with a degree in design. After successfully returning to interior design, she released her first book, Design Your Home, in 2013 and followed it with a second book, Design with Style and Colour, in 2015. Presently, Shaynna continues to shine on the small screen, and is also an ambassador for Intuit QuickBooks - a bookkeeping business that helps Australia's self-employed to get organised. In this episode, you'll learn: How Shaynna adjusts her personality depending on which TV show she's appearing on; The most rewarding things about working in reality television; The lessons she's learned from a lifetime in business; Shaynna's top tips for small business owners; How Intuit QuickBooks is massively assisting entrepreneurs with organisation; and Shaynna's dos and don'ts for personal interior design.

This week on The Spoon: Interior designer Shaynna Blaze talks about her new show Deadline Design on Foxtel’s LifeStyle HOME and shares her top tips when it comes to kitchen design with Chief Spoon Greg Dimopoulos; Apprentice Spoon Orian Ibraheim looks into the trend of foraging; Resident Spoon Dr Danielle Panaccio puts the humble sugar cube under the microscope; and Outback Spoon Lachy Sudlow tells you what to look for when buying a steak!
The one where Shaynna Blaze reveals what and how she watches TV, and what she really thinks of Neale Whitaker, Darren Palmer, Andrew Winter and Charlie Albone (it's all good, don't panic). It's a great if a little noisy chat about how HRH Blaze came to be on TV later in her career and how moments can mean big things. There's also lots of talk of The Block and Selling Houses Australia (and I reveal just how little I understand about colours and basic design principles - no surprises there). Make sure you tell Shaynna you heard her on the MolksTVTalk podcast and how much you enjoy her work. Please also continue spreading the word that the podcast is back, all over Twitter and Facebook. It's so very appreciated.
