We started the show with reaction to the assassination of talk show host Charlie Kirk and the 24th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Detroit smacking the Yankees around. The Mets relief pitching stunk again as they lost again to the Phillies. Carlos Mendoza was asked if the team was demoralized. The Packers host the Commanders tonight and Dan Quinn was asked about the Packers. Malik Nabers was asked about always looking annoyed on the sideline. He said he has a ‘natural bitch face' and needs to smile more. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is excited about a documentary coming out called ‘Cocaine Quarterback'. A caller was happy Aaron Glenn cut Xavier Gipson after his costly fumble.
Hour 1 We started the show with reaction to the assassination of talk show host Charlie Kirk and the 24th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. Hour 2 We started the hour talking about the Giants as they head to Dallas this week. We wondered when we might see Jaxson Dart. If they have another bad half, they might throw him out there in the second half. Both Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones played great in week 1, which was just awesome for Jets and Giants fans. As much as we were impressed with the Jets, they did blow the game and let Rodgers stand up there as the victor at the podium. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Mets losing to the Phillies for their fifth straight loss. The Mets are not looking like a playoff team. Boomer said the Giants must get the ball in the hands of Malik Nabers at least 10 times this week. Richie Incognito said of Tua's performance: ‘Tua is ass. He looks bad'. In the final segment of the hour, we took a look at week 2 in the NFL and looked at some good teams that could start out 0-2 and whether those teams would go into panic mode. Hour 3 Is this a shot at Garrett Wilson & the Jets? It was a comment from Aaron Rodgers regarding DK Metcalf. Boomer said it sounded like a shot. A caller details how his Giants fandom made him late for work in the Twin Towers on 9/11. A caller said teams like the Saints should look at the Giants as a win. Gio said Jaxson Dart is the final life preserver for Brian Daboll. Jerry returns for an update, but first we talked about Boomer's golf tournament coming up on October 6th. We heard from golfer Tyrrell Hatton, who detailed all the alcohol he drank upon hearing he made the Ryder Cup team. It was an insane amount and then he got sick in the hotel bed. Caleb Williams was asked about his bad throws on Monday night. Dan Campbell met the media and didn't like the reporter saying his offense looks nothing like it looked with Ben Johnson. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about drunk Boomer at Boomer & Gio Live, and a caller needs advice on where to eat in Bayshore, Long Island. Hour 4 We started with the 24th anniversary of 9/11. The Phillies ‘Karen' has still not been identified which is amazing in this day and age. We don't want anything to happen to her, it's just strange that they don't know who it is. Gio said kids have finally figured out that going to college in the South is a great idea. Jerry returned for his final update of the day and previewed Giants/Cowboys with comments from Brian Daboll. Russell Wilson talked about ‘being really freaking great today'. The Yankees bullpen was terrible last night. The Moment of The Day: Malik Nabers has a ‘natural bitch face'. In the final segment of the show, Gio said he heard NASA say there was ancient life on Mars.
Who is more likely to win this week, the Giants over the Cowboys or the Jets over the Bills? Will the Jets offense look anything like week 1 or was that an anomaly? If the Jets can run the ball like week 1, they will be in every game this year. Gio wonders if Boomer was into the UAP video of a missile being shot at an orb and it bouncing off. We took many calls on the UAP orb. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio asks him about the alien orb. The Jets are cutting Xavier Gipson because of his fumble this past weekend. Daniel Jones was on Pat McAfee and talked about his big game with the Colts and his poor play with the Giants. Micah Parsons talked about his move to Green Bay after camp. The Yankees had a terrible seventh inning and lost to the Tigers. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if this Mets collapse will be worse than 2007.
Hour 1 It feels like we are in the middle of a complete collapse by the Mets. The Mets are on the verge of not making the playoffs, and if they do make it, it will be short lived. To not get as far as last year after adding Juan Soto would be insane. They cannot let Sean Manaea pitch another game this season. Gio said they stink and have stunk for months. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Kyle Schwarber hitting his 50th HR last night as the Phillies beat the Mets. The SF Giants won, also not good for the Mets. The Yankees had a very rough 7th inning and lost to the Tigers. Aaron Judge passed Yogi Berra as 5th all time in Yankees HRs. Buck Martinez had quite the critique of the Yankees during the Blue Jays broadcast. Chris Long talked about feeling old while watching the YouTube NFL broadcast. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Mets fans who have come to expect this type of season. Hour 2 Caleb Williams is using the same nail technician as Angel Reese. Gio's not sure if Chicago Bears fans want to read something like that. Boomer said he needs to get his head out of his ass and start listening to his coaches. A caller said this Mets season is karma for all the trash talking the fans did after they got Juan Soto from the Yankees. Jerry returns for an update, but first Boomer shows a picture from a Ryder Cup event he played in 20 years ago with a bunch of celebrities. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees loss to the Tigers as they gave up 9 runs in the 7th. Sean Manaea had a rough outing in Philadelphia where the Mets lost again. Carlos Mendoza was asked after the game about the possibility of them not making the playoffs. The critics are out in Chicago as JJ McCarthy looked better in game 1 of his career than Caleb Williams did in start number eighteen. Ben Johnson talked about his struggles. Deion Sanders was asked about his starting quarterback for this weekend. In the final segment of the hour, C-Mac, who loves the Yankees, has officially given up on Anthony Volpe. A caller has a wager for Gio for this weekend's boxing match on Netflix. Hour 3 Who is more likely to win this week, the Giants over the Cowboys or the Jets over the Bills? Will the Jets offense look anything like week 1 or was that an anomaly? If the Jets can run the ball like week 1, they will be in every game this year. The Yankees had a terrible seventh inning and lost to the Tigers. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if this Mets collapse will be worse than 2007. Hour 4 We talked about the Ryder Cup with Jimmy Roberts from NBC. The event is taking place at Bethpage Black in Long Island. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with audio of Aaron Nola talking to the media and somebody farts and people laugh. Kyle Schwarber hit his 50th HR of the season as the Phillies beat the Mets again. The Yankees had a terrible 7th inning and lost to the Tigers. Daniel Jones was on with Pat McAfee and asked him what he learned in his short time with the Vikings. The Moment of The Day: Jerry talking like a space alien. In the final segment of the show, yesterday was 20 years ago that Gio walked in to WFAN to start the first day of his internship.

Micah Parsons talked about his move to Green Bay after camp. The Yankees had a terrible seventh inning and lost to the Tigers.
We start the NFL season with two 0-1 teams yet again. The Jets offense looked surprisingly good but the defense gave up 4 TDs to Aaron Rodgers. The Jets also had a fumble on a kickoff return that really hurt them. Justin Fields made a lot of good throws. What will Brian Daboll do at quarterback? Gio said he cannot put Jaxson Dart out there behind that line. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Xavier Gipson fumble that really hurt them and the 60 yard FG that won the game. Mike Tomlin called the kicker a ‘serial killer'. Aaron Glenn talked about the discipline issues they had. Brian Daboll talked about the tough loss in Washington. We heard Daniel Jones throwing a beautiful pass for a TD as they had no problem with Miami. Mike McDaniel talked about what went wrong. The Ravens blew a big lead in the fourth quarter and lost to the Bills. Green Bay had no problem beating the Lions. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays and took the series as Cody Bellinger had a nice RBI. The Mets lost to the Reds and dropped the series. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Giants fans who are sick of the same old same old.

Hour 2 We talked about the Giants quarterback situation and how they have to try hard not to screw up Jaxson Dart. It seems like the only chance Daboll has of keeping his job is starting Dart and him playing well. Callers are sick of the boring Giants offense. If the Giants don't win this week in Dallas, this has the makings of a 3-win season. They have the Chiefs and Chargers after that. A caller calls Andrew Thomas a ‘mutt' for not playing hurt. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Steelers beating the Jets with a 60 yard FG. Mike Tomlin described him as wanting to ‘bang from deep'. We heard the sounds of the Commanders having no problem with the Giants as they scored only 6 points. Malik Nabers talked about his spat with Daboll on the sideline. Russell Wilson was asked about the supposed package of plays for Jaxson Dart. Daniel Jones had a great day as the Colts beat the Dolphins. Buffalo scored 16 unanswered points to come back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens. Jerry went around the NFL. The Yankees took their series from the Blue Jays while the Mets lost theirs to the Reds. In the final segment of the hour, a fan shoved DeAndre Hopkins so Lamar Jackson shoved him back. Gio thinks moronic fans should keep their hands off the players. Hour 3 As fun as the Jets game was, you are still pulling your hair out because that's a game they should have won. And it was Aaron Rodgers, no less, coming in and throwing 4 TDs. The Jets were the better team for all 4 quarters, but as Aaron Glenn said, there are no moral victories. And the stadium was full of Steelers fans. The Giants on the other hand looked like they have the last four years, not good. A caller said he felt out of place at MetLife as a Jets fan. Gio can't believe people still like to go to games. With the Giants, once again, we are watching the same thing we've been seeing year after year. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Jets loss against the Steelers. Aaron Glenn talked about the fumble and said players won't remain on the team if they have costly turnovers. Boomer liked Glenn's postgame press conference. Xavier Gipson talked about his costly fumble. Aaron Rodgers was asked about beating Glenn since he didn't want him any more. We heard Brandon Tierney's ‘Unkillable' podcast reaction after the Jets loss. We heard from Tommy Lugauer and Shaun Morash who both want Jaxson Dart to start. The Bills came back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens as Derrick Henry had a costly fumble. Lamar Jackson talked about his physical contact with a fan. New York Jets Wide Receiver joins Zach Gelb
Fantasy football ranks can be precarious things. We think there are some skill-position spots that could legitimately be up for grabs before the 2024 NFL season begins, and today we'll count 'em down. Which running backs could lose their primary gigs? Which receivers might unexpectedly infringe on starting territory? Of course, we don't know for sure, but we'll make some suggestions about some skill veterans who might see their playing time diminish, and their fantasy football ranks dive. The New York Jets are finally back in the win column. The team's five game losing streak is a thing of the past as the Jets blew out the Houston Texans yesterday at MetLife Stadium 30-6. In many ways it was the Zach Wilson show as the quarterback returned to the lineup, throwing for over 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The supporting cast also delivered as Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Tyler Conklin, Jeremy Ruckert, Xavier Gipson, and even Randall Cobb delivered. Justin is back with his week one of the NFL review! Week one of the NFL did not disappoint and Justin is breaking down the biggest moments of week 1 Game Recap Dolphins @ Chargers Dolphins won the game 36-34 This was easily one of the most exciting games of the weekend The Chargers held the ball longer, had more rushing yards, and more first downs and still lost The Chargers had more turnovers, Miami even missed a PAT The Chargers got the ball last and still lost the game Tua and Tyreek Hill went off the entire game Tua had over 400 yards passing Hill: 15 tar, 11 Rec, 215 yards, 19.5 yards a catch, 2 TDs (go ahead score) Miami could run the ball, but they really could throw it especially over the middle Herbert really didn't push it down the field, but they didn't need to because the running game was working so well Just an all around great passing performance from the Dolphins really impressed by it Dolphins are @ the Patriots for SNF Chargers are @ Titans week 2, good get right spot for them Bengals @ Browns Browns won this game 24-3 It was raining the entire game for this won Both of these offenses struggled to get it going passing and the Bengals offense was just awful all damn day Browns rushed for over 200 yards in the game which you expected to do The Bengals offense had 142 total yards averaging 2.6 yards a play Burrow had 82 yards on 31 dropbacks Chase only had 5 catches for 39 yards Denzel Ward covered chase all damn day one on one and did great Myles Garrett and company made Burrows life ass for 3 hours on Sunday I think the Bengals will be fine for the season. They started 0-2 last season Browns are looking poised to be in the mix this season Browns are @ Steelers for MNF (Interested to see how the Watson does agasint and angry steelers defense) Bengals host the Ravens week 2 in an early must win game i expect to come out pissed off and make some noise against the Ravens Bills @ Jets Jets won this game 22-16 in OT Aaron Rodgers played 4 snaps before tearing his achilles The Bills went in to halftime with a 13-3 lead The Bills didn't score again until the 4th quarter to tie the game at 16-16 After the injury the Jets stepped up in a big way causing 4 Josh Allen turnovers Sacked Allen 5 times in the game All 3 picks from Jets safety Jordan Whitehead All 3 picks were deep shots in the middle of field The fourth turnover was a Josh Allen fumble wth 4:55 left in the 4th quarter This last turnover gave the gets a 16-13 In OT Bills get the ball first and go 3-out Bills punt to Jets rookie Xavier Gipson, who returns the punt for a 65 yard TD Just a great gritty win by the Jets, they could of easily gave up after the Rodgers injury Bills have the same problems they always have. Allen doing too much, can't run the ball, shaky o-line play Josh Allen was terrible His PFF grade for the game 49.5 out of 100 Zach Wilson came in to relive the Jets an he was alright The Jets mainly moved he ball dinking and dunking and handling it off to the running backs Bills host the Raiders in week 2 Jets play @ the Cowboys in week 2- Zach Wilson will be starting Game Preview Chiefs @ Jaguars Ravens @ Bengals Browns @ Steelers Winner/Losers Winner: San Francisco 49ers Loser: Denver Broncos
