If that's you, friend, this episode will help you see peace differently. Not as something waiting at the end of your pain, but as a gift Jesus offers right in the middle of it. Here's what we'll explore together: Why the world's definition of peace will always leave you empty How Jesus' peace shows up even when the chaos doesn't stop The difference between striving for peace and receiving it as a gift Six characteristics of the peace that steadies a grieving heart Peace doesn't erase grief—but it does carry you when the weight feels too heavy to bear alone. Does life feel like one giant race—school drop-offs, work deadlines, sports practices, church activities, dinner, laundry, repeat? For so many working moms, the constant rush has become normal. But here's the truth: hurry isn't just a schedule problem—it's a soul problem. You'll walk away with: Biblical encouragement to resist the cycle of hurry and embrace God's rhythm of peace. Practical ways to create margin, practice presence, and build rhythms instead of hustle. Faith-filled perspective on how slowing down restores your soul and relationships. Breaking the cycle of hurry isn't about doing less—it's about doing life differently. Have you ever thought to yourself, “I don't love this right now…” in the middle of motherhood chaos? If so, you're not alone. In today's episode, I'm pulling back the curtain with some honest Christian mom confessions. Because the truth is: we don't always love every second of motherhood. And that doesn't make us bad moms. It makes us human. We'll talk about the tension between guilt and grace, why social media's “enjoy every moment” message can feel crushing, and how God invites us to see our weakness as a place for His strength to shine.Together, we'll anchor in Scripture and reframe the lie that not loving every moment equals failure. Instead, we'll remember that faithfulness matters more than feelings. So grab your coffee and breathe deep, mama. Hey mama, welcome back to the Revival Mom Podcast! If your heart longs for revival in your home, for peace in your daily rhythms, and for clarity on how to say yes to what God is really calling you to—this episode is for you. Today I'm sitting down with my guest, Aliese, a Christian mompreneur, speaker, and encourager who helps faith-filled moms trade chaos for clarity. Together we're diving into one of the biggest struggles so many of us face as women of God: how to set priorities, create rhythms, and learn to say no with confidence—without guilt. We talk about: Why saying no is a spiritual skill that brings freedom How to identify and release the good things that aren't God things for this season Simple first steps to creating peaceful, purposeful rhythms for your family and business The power of aligning your time and energy with what God has actually called you to How rhythms can help you be fully present with your kids and still show up in your mission As Christian moms, we know revival starts in our hearts and flows into our homes. When we filter our schedules and responsibilities through God's priorities, we walk in greater peace, steward our families well, and model to our children what it looks like to live fully surrendered to Christ. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or guilty for wanting more order and rest, this conversation will encourage you to step into God's freedom. Saying no may feel uncomfortable at first—but it is one of the most life-giving, revival-sparking things you can do for your home. Revival Mom | Grow Deeper with God, Encourage children in the Lord, Christian Home
In this episode, I'm sharing a powerful message the Lord has been speaking to me about crossing the threshold into a new season of revival in our homes. As Christian moms and wives, we often carry so much—fear, comparison, control, or even old wounds that weigh us down. But God is saying it's time to let go, to surrender, and to step into the freedom, peace, and joy He has waiting for us. I'll walk you through part of a training I did inside Revival Mom Academy where we asked God five key questions to identify what He wants us to leave behind and what He's inviting us into. This is the kind of work that shifts atmospheres in our homes, brings breakthrough in marriage, and sets the stage for raising kids who truly know and love Jesus. Inside the episode, you'll hear: What it means to be at a spiritual threshold and how God is calling us to cross over. The specific questions to ask God so you can release what no longer belongs to you in this new season. A powerful testimony from one of my clients who was delivered from a lie she carried since childhood. How surrendering opens the door to revival in your home, healing in your body, and fresh spiritual authority. This is for you if you've been feeling stuck, weary, or weighed down. Mama, God has carved out a space specifically for you. You don't need to compete or compare—you just need to surrender and follow Him into this next season.

Revival Mom | Grow Deeper with God, Encourage children in the Lord, Christian Home
This episode is especially for the busy Christian mom who's longing to hear God's voice but feels like life is just too noisy. I get it. It's summer. The kids are home. The house is louder, your quiet time has vanished, and you're wondering if you've somehow lost your connection to God. But here's the truth: God is always speaking. And in today's episode, I'm sharing what helped me grow in God and finally recognize the ways He was already speaking to me. I open up about a moment when a wise mentor prayed over me and shifted everything. That moment marked the beginning of a spiritual breakthrough I didn't even know I needed—and it's exactly the encouragement I want to pass on to you. I'll walk you through how I started hearing Him more clearly in everyday moments, even during a chaotic day with my kids. I'll also share a powerful prayer you can speak out loud today, plus scriptures to declare over your life when doubt creeps in. If you've ever thought, “Why can't I hear God like other people do?”—this one's for you. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to have long quiet times. You just need to be willing to let Him in. And if you missed it, go back and listen to Episode 18 with Jenilee Samuel: Helping Your Kids Hear God's Voice. It's a great companion to today's episode and gives you practical ways to help your children tune into what the Lord is saying too. If you want more support as you grow in this area, send me an email at alyssa@alyssarahn.com with “one-on-one coaching” or “Revival Mom Academy” in the subject line. Let's talk about what it would look like to walk this out together. And if this episode encouraged you, share a review on Apple Podcasts or email me directly—I'd love to hear how God is moving in your life. Let's keep going, mama. You can hear Him—and He's already speaking.
Revival Mom | Grow Deeper with God, Encourage children in the Lord, Christian Home
Today we're diving into something powerful and I think you're going to feel so seen. If you've ever found yourself stuck in the swirl of sibling bickering, chaos in the car, or that “mom's about to lose it” moment, I want you to know I've been there too. In this episode, I'm sharing a real-life story that reminded me what it means to walk in spiritual authority as a Christian mom—and how quickly everything can shift when we tap into the power of the Holy Spirit. We'll talk about what it actually looks like to grow in spiritual authority, how you know it's happening, and why it matters more than ever in motherhood. I'm sharing five signs that you're growing in that authority—from the way you speak peace over your home, to how your conduct begins to change without you even trying. This isn't about striving—it's about surrendering and letting the Holy Spirit empower you as a mom, a woman, and a daughter of the King. This episode is for every spirit-filled mom who wants more peace, more joy, and more fruit in her home. I'll also tell you about a simple prayer I whispered in the car that completely changed the atmosphere (yes, really), and why this is something you can do too. If you're ready to grow in faith, see real change in your family, and reflect Jesus in your motherhood journey, this one's for you. Don't forget to grab my Ignite Revival: Powerful Prayers & Declarations guide—it's packed with Scriptures on spiritual authority so you can speak life with confidence. Just head to revivalmomprays.com And if you're feeling like it's time to go deeper—maybe through 1:1 coaching or joining the Revival Mom Academy—send me an email at alyssa@alyssarahn.com with “Coaching” in the subject line. Your Hope-Filled Perspective with Dr. Michelle Bengtson podcast
Episode Summary: In this week’s episode, I’m talking with Dawn Ward, who shares her painful story of being a mother to two sons who have struggled with addiction. Dawn shares how God has used those wounds, healed them, and given her purpose in her pain to encourage us that God never wastes our pain. Quotables from the episode: I was a Christian and I thought that if I took my children church and taught them the Bible and did all the things according to God's word then those evil elements of the world would somehow not get to our family, but that didn't prove to be true. When I tried to outrun old wounds from my childhood, these old pains and things that had hurt me so much came back to haunt me when my son became involved with the wrong friends and the wrong movies and troublesome behaviors. Both of my sons struggled with addiction and I faced intense guilt and self-blame and shame because at that point I thought it was my fault. I remember crying out to God, “I thought that I was doing better in my relationship with you. I thought I had more faith. I thought I trusted you. And now I'm just in a big pool of my own tears.” And that is so often what happens when we hear messages in childhood that are not always based in truth. Earlier in my life, in my career, my faith, or things that God was tugging at my heart to do, I was reluctant to step out and be bold and do those things because I didn't feel adequate. I didn't feel like I would be able to do it. And I look back on opportunities that God put in front of me, and I told myself I couldn't do them. There came a breaking point where I realized I have to figure this out, because if I don’t figure out how God sees me and the things that he’s given me responsibility for and that he trusts me to be a wife and to be a mother, but yet I’m not trusting myself to do it with his help. I needed to trust God to begin to reveal lies and the thought patterns that were holding me back and affecting all my relationships. One day my husband confronted me and said, “You are going to worry yourself to death.” And I told him he had permission to write that on my tombstone, “She worried herself to death.” But I heard the Lord say to me, “No, it’s going to say she trusted God.” That was an aha moment for me when I realized that every choice that I made moving forward, I needed to ask, “Do I trust you, Lord? Even though this doesn’t make sense. Even though I can’t understand why it’s going this way.” So, I wrote a book hoping maybe other moms wouldn’t have to go through as much pain and all of the hard lessons I had to go through. It’s really about getting our relationship back with the Lord and having our faith in him that can withstand these storms and helping us to trust him in the process of those difficult and painful things that we have no control over. That’s the same thing with us with these wounds. If we don’t allow God to heal them the way that he wants to heal them. Most of us wouldn’t sign up for half the stuff that we end up having to go through in our life. But the beautiful thing is that when we turn it over to God and we trust God through it, he can bring something beautiful out of those painful wounds. Another benefit that comes from that is our relationship with our children and our loved ones, whether they’re in a good place or not, it becomes healthier just because we become healthier and stronger and we’re healing. I look back and sometimes truthfully wish I didn’t have to bear this trial, or that my children didn’t have to bear their trial. But I can see that God has cultivated trust and faith and hope through his grace into my life. And I’m so grateful for that because I don’t think I could have really healed from some of the things I went through as a child without him working through the process of this healing with me as an adult. God is not finished writing your story, or your child’s story. He loves you very much. If we can imagine how much we love our child and to imagine that God loves them that much more, and he loves us too. When we look at our God and what he is capable of and realize that his eye is on that one little lost sheep that’s wandering, that gives us hope.
