Meet Garrett Minyard, co-founder and club director, of the Northeast Volleyball Club, in Connecticut. Before starting Northeast Volleyball Club, Coach Garrett spent a year in Italy as a coach in the Italian Serie A2 league. During that time, Garrett helped Volley Millenium Brescia capture a national championship and learned the ins and outs of professional team management. Before Italy, he earned his master's degree in Human Resource Management at Durham University in the U.K., while also acting as the head coach for Team Durham Men's Volleyball. Garrett also assisted Team Durham Women's Volleyball who secured both the University and National league titles that season. Garrett is originally from Long Island and played Division I men's volleyball for Sacred Heart University, where he was named Team Captain for both the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He never stopped coaching during his college career, working at local clubs and high schools. After graduation, Garrett began coaching full time for CPAC Volleyball Club under his mentor Danny Goncalves, the now Head Coach at Division I NJIT. Garrett then took the reins as Club Director, leading the club for two very successful seasons before moving overseas. In addition to his on-court achievements, Garrett has earned significant recognition in the volleyball community. In 2019, he was named to the prestigious AVCA 30-Under-30 list, an honor awarded to rising stars in the coaching world. A year later, in 2020, he received the AVCA Innovation Award, acknowledging his forward-thinking contributions to the sport. As a coach, Garrett focuses on developing young athletes into leaders on and off the court and teaching athletes how to compete at the highest levels. Always a student of the game, his technical knowledge and ability to help athletes get better is unparalleled. Garrett leads NEVBC's coaches training and curriculum development, and he also leads all practice planning for our club teams. In addition to his roles at NEVBC, Garrett is also a Head Coach for Gold Medal Squared (the leaders in volleyball coaches' education and training), and the Volunteer Assistant Coach for NJIT Men's Volleyball in Newark, NJ.

For this week's Glass and Out podcast, we're excited to welcome Garrett Raboin, Head Coach of Augustana University. With the Viking Men's Hockey Program joining NCAA Division I hockey next season, Raboin is currently in the process of building the program from the ground up. Everything is new and will have his fingerprints on it when the Vikings debut next season. New rink, new uniforms, new conference, new players - new everything! Raboin comes to Augustana from the University of Minnesota, where he was an assistant coach on Bob Motzko's staff for four seasons. Prior to his time with the Gophers, he was an assistant coach at his Alma Mater, St. Cloud State University, also working under Motzko. As a player, Raboin was the captain of St. Cloud State during the final two seasons of his collegiate career, which speaks to his character and perseverance when you consider he was a walk onto the program. In this episode, we'll touch on his strategy for running a two player practice, the decision making process of selecting the seating arrangement in the locker room, to the colour of carpet in the players lounge, and why he's choosing to not to put any limits on his team once they drop the puck on their inaugural season.

After another lack luster primetime loss for the Giants. Harris and Dan break down the the current state of the G-Men. Now 3-7 its time for soul searching for the higher ups and the coaching staff. We break down the lack luster tenure of 26 games from former Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett after being fired on Tuesday afternoon. What when wrong during his tenure? Is it only his fault? Of course not, but someone had to get the short end of the stick on how this offense has looked the last two season. Now that Coach Garrett is gone, all the attention is even more squared on Daniel Jones and Coach Judge. Can Freddy Kitchens find the magic he had in 2019 before he became the Head Coach of the Browns? Harris and Dan discuss what to most likely see out of Kitchens so late into the season you really cant change the play book completely but you can find different plays in a very thick playbook. After everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving the Giants host division rivals Eagles. The Eagles are flying high right now. They look to come into met life and keep flying high. Can the Giants stand toe to toe with the Eagles? Time will tell. I think they can. This week my guest is Capitan Tom Chaby. Tom has been an active duty US Navy SEAL for 26 years and was a task force commander of 400 men in Iraq and Afghanistan. Retired a few years ago, he now specializes in leadership performance optimization. Tom works with sports teams and corporations that are looking to learn from his experience and his circle of influence. In this interview, we discuss leadership and team culture from Navy SEAL’s perspective. What I find extraordinary about Tom is that most things we talk about are so transferable to you: leadership style, the way you lead and perform under pressure, and how to be a high performance leader. For those leaders in innovation, transformation, entrepreneurship and leadership of any sort, you will love my interview with Captain Tom Chaby. I hope you receive as much benefit and value from it as I did. Major Take-Aways From This Episode: 1. The importance of good mentors in leadership. 2.
