Send us a textFirst, we go to Okeechobee to discuss some flexing by the Chief of Police against local gun owners, until he started getting stung by thousands of angry bees telling him he was out of line, including Gov. Desantis, Eric Friday of Florida Carry, and Luis Valdes of GOA, to name a few. Then, on to Massachusetts where the governor is behaving like a narcissistic abusive parent and contemptuously flexing on the gun owners in her state as she throws an executive tantrum fueled by their insolent challenge to a recent gun-control law there.Tune in and share!!WJS GunsGun and Outdoor Shop, ammo, accessories, fishing tackle, moreGlover Orndorf and Flanagan Wealth Mgmt.Wealth management servicesSicarios Gun ShopFirearms, Accessories, Ammo, Safes, and more!Freedom GunsFirearms, Ammunition, Accessories, Training classes SHOOTINGCLASSES.COMOnline business operations platform for firearms instructors, trainees, and Shooting RangesThe Gun Site9-Lane 25 yard indoor Shooting Range, Gun Store, Training classesThe American Police Hall of FameMuseum and Shooting Center (open to public), Law Enforcement and Civilian TrainingCounter Strike TacticalBest Little Gun Store in Melbourne, Florida! If you thought Joe Biden was a threat to gun rights, hold on to your seat. Kamala Harris is worse, voicing support for gun confiscation, magazine bans, unconstitutional red flag laws, mandatory storage, and the belief that there is no individual right to gun ownership. Lee Williams, Chief Editor of the Second Amendment Foundation's Investigative Journalism Project and Board Member of Florida Carry, gives us a peek at the radical gun control past of both Harris and her running mate, the not at all weird Tim Walz.

Riding Shotgun With Charlie #206 Joe Meaux Aklys Defense There has only been one other time when someone has driven the stagecoach and I was in the shotgun seat. That was episode #039 with Kevin Sona from Florida Carry. This time Joe Meaux because he had “sensitive materials” in the car and I wouldn't know what to tell the police if we were pulled over. I met Joe in 2023 at NRA AM in Indianapolis. There was a group of us that went for dinner. This year, Brent, my roomie for the weekend ran into Joe and said he had a van full of machine guns and silencers. How can I not film this show? Joe lives in Louisiana and he took an interest in building firearms at a young age. He also spent time repairing lawn mowers when he was young, which came in handy when it was time to build AR. Building an AR was much more affordable than buying one. He would buy kits and put them together. Being a subject matter expert on building and working with computers gave him the chance to teach information technology and business at a local high school where he was only a few years older than the students. Currently, he owns Aklys Defense. His company makes silencers, suppressors, gun muffler quiet technology, a can, or a yeeter discreeter. Aklys makes their own products, but they also make some OEM products for other manufacturers. Let's get this debate over: the first patent was for a silencer. Yes, we all know it doesn't “silence” the sound, but the first gun muffler was called a silencer. Joe also says the ATF refers to it as a silencer, too. We've also just learned the ATF may be wrong about what they call items (Hello, Mr Michael Cargill!) Joe's teaching gig and experience with computers and web design was able to help him connect with Red Jacket Firearms. After some bartering, he was able to get a nicer AK kit in exchange for helping with their computers. He was offered a position to help build guns and he took it. Unbeknownst to Joe, Will Hayden, Red Jacket's owner, submitted a sizzle reel to Discovery. It took some time to pick up Sons of Guns and make it happen. Joe says it was a little weird trying to do work, but Will wanted to build in some drama. They also had a business to run and keep going. Sons of Guns went on for five seasons and during the filming of season six, things got bad. (You can google what went down.) Joe and his partners ended up managing the business and working to change the image and branding. He made the decision to rebrand and start over as Aklys Defense. We do drive through Dealey Plaza twice. It's become a tradition when we're filming in Dallas. The second time through, I saw someone in tan pants and a black polo shirt. It ended up being Matt Mallory with Klint Macro. I've done two shows with the Meet The Pressers gents. I did get a copy of the clip of us driving through their video, which adds some fun! Joe gives us some insight into the business side of things, like having SKUs and UPCs. He's fired many different machine guns in his time. And he also tells us his top machine guns and why he feels a connection to the grease gun from World War II. Ok.. maybe a little bit about the Vegas shooting comes up, too. Aklys Defense is doing well and will keep doing well. If you need a silencer, check their website and get one from Aklys. I say it often, I really love my gig! I enjoy making all kinds of friends in the gun community. Favorite quotes: “While the computer was defragging, I went and assembled an AK.” “There wasn't a lot of business drive, I thought I could help with that.” “I lost a lot of investment money, time, credibility,” “I worked hard to make sure the Red Jacket brand was inserted before the Sons of Guns brand.” “We've made suppressors, need to learn how to make these good,” Meaux Guns https://www.meauxguns.com/ Aklys Defense https://www.aklysdefense.com/ Aklys Defense https://www.facebook.com/Aklysdefense Aklys Defense Instagram https://www.instagram.com/aklysdefense Aklys Defense X https://x.com/Aklysdefense Second Amendment Foundation https://secure.anedot.com/saf/donate?sc=RidingShotgun Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. 97Percent is a second amendment group that supports “assault weapon” bans, magazine bans, bump-stock bans, red-flag laws, even permits to own guns. Lee Williams, Chief Editor of the Second Amendment Foundation's Investigative Journalism Project and Board Member of Florida Carry, shares his research into this phony group and reveals who they really are and their insidious gun control agenda.
How should we fix the damage the Biden administration has done to Second Amendment rights? Who's behind the media's inflated mass murder statistics? And why is the media blaming horrific crimes on gun makers instead of criminals? Lee Williams, Chief Editor of the Second Amendment Foundation's Investigative Journalism Project and Board Member of Florida Carry, will answer these and other important questions.
Everytown reserchers say gun owners are racist. A British tabloid says it's "insidious" for the gun industry to have lobbyists (like every other industry). And a Florida Bass Pro refuses to sell a gun to a customer who passed the background check. Lee Williams, Chief Editor of the Second Amendment Foundation's Investigative Journalism Project and Board Member of Florida Carry, helps us understand these strange and infuriating stories.
Why does the media fixate on the less than 3% of murders committed with rifles when more than 97% of all murders are committed with handguns, knives, and bare fists? Lee Williams, Chief Editor of the Second Amendment Foundation's Investigative Journalism Project and Board Member of Florida Carry, discusses media bias and racism, and how propaganda about the true perpetrators and victims of violent crime is getting people killed.

Riding Shotgun With Charlie #164 Dianna Muller The DC Project I first met Dianna Muller, founder of The DC Project (DCP), back in 2019, when I was headed down to DC and filming a show in Philadelphia on the way down, then some of the DCP ladies in DC. I've run into her and several of the DCP ladies across the country at Gun Rights Policy Conference, NRA Annual Meetings, Florida Carry events, the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival, and almost any 2A event I've been to. Last fall, I was going to the Rod of Iron event in Greely, PA, and I was asked if I could pick up Di at the Wilkes-Barre Airport. How can I not? Since I was going to be driving a 2A personality, I had to film a show. The month before we filmed the show, Di and the DCP ladies all went to Washington to do some work. Their work consists of talking to politicians about the women's side of gun ownership, the reason women own firearms, and why it's important for women to own and carry firearms. She also talks about why we need to take back the reins through school boards, local, state, and federal positions. This year, there were several new ladies who joined them in Washington. What she really wants to do is get the gun owners unified so we can all talk about why we believe what we believe. Di talks about more than the DCP, but what some of the objectives are for the group and probably for any of the other 2A groups that are out there. The DCP was started to be a countermeasure to the ‘red shirts' (the Moms Demand Action group). Di wanted to have a sea of teal shirts to be everywhere the red shirts were going. She wanted to be the pro-gun side of the women's voice, the side that has common sense and civil rights on its side. One of the things we talk about is how the pro-gun side gets the blame everytime there's a mass shooting somewhere. Why are we responsible for the actions of a murderer? Why do we have to defend the murders because we own firearms? Why do we often hold back 72 hours after a shooting before we make a statement, before all the facts are out? Usually the media has moved on to another story and do not retract their stories. And the retracted stories certainly don't get the same amount of press as the incident itself gets. Di also talks about the times testified in front of Congress. Certainly it's intimidating. Once she testified in front of David Chipman, who was a failed candidate for the head of the ATF. She also testified last year with Chris Cheng (RSWC #155) and Maj Toure. She's also had some of the DCP ladies testify or be prepared to testify, including Holly Sullivan (RSWC #036) and Gabby Franco (RSWC #117). Finally Di gets to share with us about the Ambassador Academy. It's a week-long training for folks in the 2A community. The courses cover things like some media training and handling tv and radio/podcast interviews, making videos, handing your social media accounts. The Academy is held at W.O.F.T., which stands for West Orlando Firearms Training… or Where Our Families Train. W.O.F.T. has become known as “Tactical Disneyland”. It's outside of Orlando and it's a place where you can get all sorts of self defense training. They've got courses on low light training, empty hands combat, situational awareness, first aid, anti-car jacking, home defense, and much more. People that attend Ambassador Academy walk out with all this training and some professionally done photos and videos. The cost is hefty, but the people you're learning from are at the top notch in the firearm community. I'm glad that I was able to give Di a ride that day. I'm honored that she thought of me to help her out. This is what the firearm community is all about, supporting those who support you. Favorite quotes: “The Second Amendment is a non-partisan issue. It's a constitutional issue.” “It's up to us, you, me, and everyone listening, to right the ship.” “Everybody wants to be safe. The only difference is that there are people that want to feel safe, and there are us that actually want to be safe.” “The training that you get (at Ambassador Academy, anybody can use it in their life.” Di 3 GunGirl Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Di3GunGirl Di 3 Gun Instagram https://www.instagram.com/di3gun/ The DC Project Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thedcproject The DC Project Instagram https://www.instagram.com/dc_projectfoundation/ W.O.F.T. Thanks to the viewers and listeners of Riding Shotgun with Charlie! I wanted to reach out and let everyone know that I really appreciate all the support and encouragement that I get for doing the show. It's great to hear that folks hear about passengers on other shows and see that I had them on the Stagecoach. Or better yet, when a fellow podcaster listens to a show to get some back story on a guest and then have them on their podcast. Either way, it's a feeling that the show is going well and helping people learn about others in the firearm community. I was talking with a friend who I call “B-L” Lisa and she thought that doing a Thank You show would be a great way to end the year. I wasn't sure what format I could do the show. Then talking with John Petrolino, he gave it some direction. Despite the pandemic and shutdowns, the loss of jobs and income, 2021 was a successful year! Thanks to these folks for making 2021 successful for The Stagecoach. I got to go hunting with CNJFO, played the Star Spangled Banner in Florida, spoke in Dallas, took training in New Hampshire, South Dakota, Ohio, and Massachusetts. I kept teaching classes in Massachusetts for residents to get their License To Carry. And kept doing Utah classes in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. All along, making new 2A friends! I was able to film more shows than ever before. That meant I was publishing episodes more than ever! From the end of March until November, I put out a show every week. And even in November, I put out shows 3 out of 5 Tuesdays. This year, I published over 40 shows! Gun folks are the greatest folks. RSWC displays many of the movers and shakers in the firearm community in a very different situation, much more intimate and relaxed and off guard. There's a great blend between serious topics, some humor and lightheartedness, and comfort with all of the passengers on the show. Next year, there's going to be more shows, more passengers, and more traveling. My goal is to complete the 5 states East of the Mississippi where I haven't done shows. And get a few more states West of the Mississippi. It wouldn't mean a thing without viewers and listeners. I've got an online store going for sway and merch, which you can find below. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#118Dr. John EdeenDoctors for Responsible Gun Ownership I've been running into Dr. John Edeen since I first went to GRPC in 2016. He's always been a speaker. And he's been brave enough to model for the concealed carry fashion shows that I've emceed as well. He was braver when I asked if we could be roommates for the Florida Carry Speaker event this past March. Since we were riding to the event together, it was the best time to film a show. Last year at the Florida Carry event, Dr. Edeen spoke about what to tell your doctor when they ask about firearms in the home. Here's the link to get the article. https://drgo.us/position-statements/the-gun-question/ Dr. Edeen came from a family that helped others. His parents worked with the Salvation Army. His father helped psychiatric patients who were released from the hospital and helped them manage their money, help them get food to eat, and brought in psychiatric help as well. He knew from the 7th grade that he wanted to be a doctor. In order to help pay for medical school, he did the health profession scholarship program which had a military obligation to it. He did an orthopedic internship at Oakland Naval Hospital. He spent 2 years as a medical officer on the USS Peleiu, an amphibious assault ship. After traveling around the world, he ended up back at the USS Peleiu. While on the coast of Mogadishu, he applied for his pediatric orthopedic fellowship which brought him to Springfield, MA. He eventually made it to San Antonio, TX, and has been there since the mid-1990's. The Rodney King incident happened while he was in Oakland, and that seems like it might be a good time to learn about firearms. Like many out of the military, he pursued getting a Beretta 92, or the M9 as the military calls it, because that's what he's familiar with. Then he started acquiring handguns much quicker. Dr. Edeen really enjoys training and learning. He's done most of the classes with the Massad Ayoob Group, MAG 30. 40. 60, 80, 120, & 180, with Mas himself. He's become good friends with Mas and Gail, and has helped Mas with some cases that involve needing some medical opinions. After taking lots of training and getting his carry permit in Texas, the absurdity of not allowing doctors to carry inside hospitals hit him. This is the kind of thing that got Dr. Edeen involved in Second Amendment activism. It's kind of cool that Dr. Edeen was asked by Mark Walters to attend the GRPC and Mark is also responsible for getting me to GRPC, too. At GRPC, Dr. Edeen talked with Dr. Timothy Wheeler, DRGO founder, and asked what he can do to help DRGO. When Dr. Edeen proposed a resolution for his area doctors to carry at the hospital, it was voted down. But after a family member of another doctor had their life threatened, this doctor decided it was time to consult Dr. Edeen on some firearm training. This is how the group started to grow and increase in numbers. Besides the great articles about healthcare and firearms, you'll find the 2adoc website helpful to find doctors who are Second Amendment friendly. There are some good articles by Dr. Edeen on the DRGO website that you'll be interested in reading. Favorite quotes: “You can refuse to answer or just lie. It's none of his business.” “A lot of these people have been brainwashed by establishment medicine to think that they're actually helping. And they're not.” “The lawyers say no, no, no, no. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#099 Part 2Florida Carry Speaker Event Review Part 2 Stephen Shives, Runaway CampersKristin Franke, Packin’ NeatKevin & Sarah Sona, Florida Carry While I was at the Florida Carry Speaker Event on March 20, I filmed a few shows. This is part 2 of Episode 099. I grabbed a few more folks and put them in the car for a review of the event. If you missed the Clown Car video, you can watch it here. https://youtu.be/d2rR1PtolyQ Kevin Sona of Florida Carry organized the Speaker Event. It’s the 4th Annual event and it's been growing every year. It started off with a few speakers and about 50 people. This year, the numbers were low due to the ‘virus’, but there were speakers and visitors from Arizona, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, South Carolina, New York, Texas, California, and Virginia. It has been the first time for many to get together since the Florida Carry event last year, which was just before the beginning of the virus. This year, Kevin had some issues getting a place to host the event due to the virus, but Runaway Campers stepped up. Stephen Shives is the owner of Runaway Campers. His people cleaned out the finishing shop to set up a space for the event. The store has a pavilion space where they hosted a rally for their customers, but they ended up selling that space and buying a new one, where the speaker event was held. Kristin Franke, owner of Packin’ Neat, was a vendor at the event. She was selling her products and was able to hop in the stagecoach with us. She started her business and making products due to a lack of options for carry methods for folks in the Florida and other warmer areas. The Packin’ Neat products are like small ‘go bags’ you can put in your purse. Not only does it come with a holster for your firearm, you can transfer it to another purse or bag as well. It can be used in briefcases as well. Stephen tells us, and even shared the audio from, an irate customer who was less than thrilled to hear that Runaway Campers was hosting the Florida Carry event. You’ll hear that phone call here. We also have a good discussion that the folks in the firearm community are very giving, very caring, and just all around good people. That really has been a theme to RSWC since I started the show. After the event, many of us went back to the campgrounds where many of the speakers and attendees spent the weekend. We had a wonderful evening of some deep fried turkey and a campfire with much more conversation and networking. Kudos to Kevin for organizing the event. And even more kudos to Stephen for hosting the event and taking some heat for it. Favorite quotes: Stephen Shives: “I like people to know what we stand for, what we believe.” Stephen Shives: “We’re all in this together. We’re living it, We’re loving it. We’re not out to get anybody.” Kristin Franke: “Everybody (in the gun industry) is very caring.” Kevin Sona: “A highlight was the diversity panel. Gun rights just aren’t just for bald, fat, white guys.” Kevin Sona; “It doesn’t mean that someone who doesn’t have the same beliefs as me, as I do, doesn’t have a right to protect themselves against someone who’s going to do something evil to them.” Runaway Campers https://www.runawaycampers.com/ https://www.facebook.com/RunawayCampers Packin’ Neat https://www.packinneat.com/ https://www.facebook.com/PackinNeat Florida Carry https://www.floridacarry.org/ https://www.facebook.com/Florida.Carry Live Feed from the Florida Carry Speaker Event https://fb.watch/4vEY9Q4yx4/ Polite Society Podcast Friday Night Interviews https://fb.watch/4vF0enLB_-/ Second Amendment Foundation http://saf.org/ Katz & Phillips, P.A. https://thefirearmfirm.com/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Riding Shotgun With Charlie#099 Part 1Florida Carry Speaker Event Review Part 1 I love my gig! I really do! Kevin Sona (RSWC #043) has been organizing a camping event for Florida Carry since 2018. In Florida, its legal to open carrying while you’re doing the “...ing” activities: camping, hunting, fishing. Therefore, anyone camping can open carry while they’re there. Past speakers are a who’s who of the 2A community. Massad Ayoob, Rick Ector, Rob Morse, Rob Pincus, to name just a few. This year, the event was held at Runaway Campers in Summerfield, FL, on March 19 & 20. The camping part was both nights, but the Speaker Event was only on Saturday. This was the first time many of the 2A activists, authors, and speakers have gotten together since the Gun Rights Policy Conference hosted by the Second Amendment Foundation in Phoenix, September 2019. The line up for 2021 included Cheryl Todd from Gun Freedom Radio & AZFirearms, Rick Ector from Legally Armed In Detroit, Erich Pratt from Gun Owners of America, Dan Wos author of Good Gun Bad Guy, Craig DeLuz from The Gunshine State, Amy Dillon of Shooting Industry Magazine, and Patrick Collins firearm instructor. Amanda Suffecool of Eye On The Target and REALIZE Firearm Awareness did one of her world famous concealed carry fashion shows. The event was emceed by the Second Amendment Foundation’s Deputy Director of New Media and the Polite Society Podcast founder and host, Paul Lathrop. After the event was over, I was able to round a few of the speakers, all who have been in the passenger’s seat of the stagecoach, for a whiz bang round of RSWC. The game plan was to get as many people in the car as we could. Then put Amy Dillon across everyone’s lap who was in the back seat. We had: John Petrolino, author and writer for Ammoland, JM4 Tactical, & Bearing Arms. Patrick Collins, Cheryl & Danny Todd, & Amy Dillon. We just wanted to do a wrap up and review of the event, and what were some good takeaways as well. Everyone got a chance to share what they enjoyed about it. A big one for me is the fellowship that we get when we all get together. These events really are like family reunions. And I know everyone says that. It’s the closest way to describe it. We all see each other online and interact on several podcasts and in writing, but there’s nothing better than getting together in person and sharing handshakes and hugs. Cheryl & Danny, Amy, and myself have been to several GRPC’s and The DC Project events. Patrick has been to GRPC and Rick Ector’s Women event. It was John Petrolino’s first time meeting ‘his people’ as he was able to sneak away from other commitments in the Orlando area. It was wonderful to see everyone. Next week, there will be an RSWC #099 Part 2 with some of the others who were at the event. I’m excited to say many of the folks and a couple new passengers made a fun video to kick off this episode. You can find it on YouTube here. https://youtu.be/d2rR1PtolyQ Favorite quotes: Cheryl Todd: “I got to moderate a panel and that is one of my most favorite things to do. You can do rapid fire questions. And we did a diversity panel.” Danny Todd: “What kind of an event can you go to and leave with two woman on your lap?” Amy Dillon: “Probably the most personal speech I ever made. But I think its important to share vulnerability.” Patrick Collins: “My goal is to teach in all 50 states, which there’s not a lot of instructors have done that before.” John Petrolino: “Hopefully, in 5 years we’ll be writing about none of this stuff and we’ll be writing about freedom!” Cheryl & Danny Todd Gun Freedom Radio https://gunfreedomradio.com/ AZFirearms https://azfirearms.com/ Amy Dillon Legacy Defense Consulting https://www.facebook.com/legacydefense.net Patrick Collins https://thegunfood.com/ John Petrolino https://johnpetrolino.com/ Florida Carry https://www.floridacarry.org/ Live Feed from the Florida Carry Speaker Event https://fb.watch/4vEY9Q4yx4/ Polite Society Podcast Friday Night Interviews https://fb.watch/4vF0enLB_-/ Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters. Our guest today is Craig DeLuz. Craig is the President & CEO of 2A News Corporation. He is the Former Director of Legislative & Public Affairs for the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), and currently is the Host of Morning Coffee with Craig for the FPC. He is the spokesman and host of CRATV for the California Republican Assembly and is a 16 year member of the Robla School Board in Sacramento, CA; where he has served as Board President for 9 of those 16 years. 1) You have a foot on each coast in 2A Activism and Advocacy. And you wear a ton of different hats in that endeavor. What was the original driving force that caused you to be so involved? 2) With Federal Anti-Rights Bills like HR127 and HR30 being written can we possibly OVER-state how serious the assault on our 2A Rights is? 3) There are far too many people who think “someone else will do it”. And at a time when we are at all-hands-on-deck DEFCON level, how DO we activate activism? 4) You are going to be speaking at a big event in FL on Saturday, March 20th. Tell us about this event?
Our guest today is Kevin Sona. Kevin is the Director of Special Projects for Florida Carry, which is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the fundamental civil right of all Floridians to keep and bear arms for self defense as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. 1) You are lining up a big Freedom Not Fear Speaker event on Saturday, March 20th in FL. Tell us about that? 2) What are the biggest challenges you face in your (very large) State as it pertains to the 2A? Is it State or Federal infringements? Citizen apathy or unawareness? 3) How did you get involved in the 2A community? What is the main things that drive your advocacy? 4) Who on the 2A community inspires you? 5) You have created a few FB Pages. Tell us about those? -America Under Distress, City Tavern Talk and Guns and Sun

Many who also want more training, to purchase guns, and hopefully to vote to keep our Second Amendment and other rights. It was a wonderful and far reaching discussion. ***** Action Radio is the synergy of radio broadcast technology, the internet, the radio audience, articles, podcasts, news videos, state and federal legislators, the governors, and even the President, in an entirely new way to make our laws. Derek said, "the markets are tired of bad news with nothing bad really happening." 8:00 - The Second Amendment Report, with Jim Dykes. Featuring his guest - Amanda Suffecool! She was a great guest. Jim was the host, I probably asked too many questions, but Amanda is a 2A superstar. Derek couldn't make the financial report so Bob stayed well into the second hour. 1:30:00 - The Second Amendment Report, with Jim Dykes. I would like to have all these folks back on the show individually so I can explore more details with them, but Bob gave us a fabulous overview of the Republican Liberty Caucus. We had 8 callers on the line for most of the show, and several people called in to congratulate Bob for his work. Much of what we talked about was getting out from the draconian dictatorship orders in Florida from the Governor, and how there is no reason at all for what is happening. 1:00:00 - The Financial Report - with Derek Park. After such an amazing first hour it was quite a switch to go into the financial world. Derek provides the Edward Jones Financial Report and then we have a free wheeling discussion of finance in the news. We covered the markets, unemployment, the gold standard, the Fed, and the markets, all in response to the Corona Flu. 1:30:00 - The Second Amendment Report - with Jim Dykes. Jim is a Director of Florida Carry, which is dedicated to open carry of firearms. Jim outlined the Rodriguez Case in California on seized firearms, the ammo check overturn, and a great legal discussion of our rights and why the courts screw up in protecting them by taking on unconstitutional authority and are wrapped way too much in precedent.
Join the guys this week as they go slightly off the rails. They discuss Neighborhood Watch & firearms, the extracurricular activities of Daniel Boone, and they talk with Kevin Son from Florida Carry. The guys also talk tactical medical training with Kevin and Jose from AuraPrep.com out of NYC. Also discussed is how ATF defines a firearm, and Illinois' issues with concealed weapons permits. After a very intense hour we concluded our dicussion until next week. 1:04:00 - We wrapped things up and opened the lines for any overflow and follow up discussion. Pastor Don, Josie, Pianki, and Anthony called in at various times throughout the last hour. Part of what I wanted to talk about is where we go from here. Impeachment / Mueller took up so much of the Trump Administration that I think people were so concerned with defense, they forgot how to take the offense. That is a losing strategy as you never get your agenda advanced. We went into the horribly dangerous "New Way Forward Campaign" open borders to alien criminals and murderers bill. 1:38:00 - Jim Dykes from Florida Carry reports on the Second Amendment. The big question for me was on the new "Second Amendment Sanctuary" resolutions making their way around Florida counties. If they are real, then I should be able to host an "Open Carry Barbecue" anywhere I want. Jim said the resoltutions really don't have any effect in law and all of us would probably be arrested.

I asked a question, why does the return of Jesus to Israel happen with a Jewish population that doesn't believe in Jesus? 1:46:50 - We start our last report, where Jim Dykes, board member of Florida Carry, where they have won a state preemption law against Broward County.
This week Kevin Sona of Florida Carry is interviewed about the event Education, Not Intimidation happening February 8th. Paul and the crew also talk about the events happening in Virginia and a lawsuit victory by the NRA on 1st Amendment grounds.

Second Amendment Report 10:00 - Derek Park with the Financial Report joined Jim and me for a gun chat, and then went into his report about 20 minutes in. He covered the Edward Jones Financial Report, and then we talked about retail vs. online shopping this Christmas. 31:30 - Wendy Arthur with the OMG! Report talked about praying with your whole heart, with sincere and unselfish prayers, even though you are asking for something, and then to listen to God after you pray. Pastors say "let us pray," but they never say after that, "let us listen." 56:00 - Jean Virnig our Life Coach talked about purging unnecessary stuff in your life, and giving gifts without conditions, like having to use the gift in your presence. 1:07:30 - Our second guest host, regular caller, and new reporter Thursday of "Technology and You," Anthony Nunez took over and had a chance to host the whole hour. He talked specifically about education, Common Core, how it came about, why to get rid of it, and what kinds of education should replace the government schools.
Action Radio Show - 12/16/19 - Show notes! Introduction: I introduced Dr. Peter Pry again for his second hour visit. This is his third with lots more coming. Check out the previous visits! I talked about Facebook censorship and why it's so important to share "Action Radio with Greg Penglis." I did an update on Florida Carry's statement supporting Second Amendment rights for military personnel. I introduced two new reports: Jim Dykes and his Second Amendment report, Friday at 7 am Central, and Anthony Nunez and the Technology and You report Thurs 20:00 - Annie Marie Delgado, President of TrumpTeam2020 in Florida, gave an update on the campaign and the President. She even invited me on her show next week! And of course we talked about impeachment, and her liking my post that Biden has given us his impeachment video in advance. 32:30 - Mad Moms Fight for Justice. Cat Donovan and Diane Knudsen talk today about "parental substitution." This is where one parent forces a child to accept their new partner, spouse, or other, as replacement for their biological parent. We alternate between comedy and tragedy often but it allows us to deal and describe these incredibly painful, and in many cases close to home experiences. For their help see the website: MadMomsFightForJustice.com. 1:05:00 - ***** Dr. Peter Pry, returning guest, is so fascinating, you just have to listen to the whole hour. Action Radio Show - 12/9/19 - Show notes: Introduction: I embark on a rant of this whole disarmed military personnel issue for about nine minutes when Josie calls, who is equally furious to me. We pondered many questions that have yet to be answered. 20:00 - I go over a commentary in Western Journal regarding why our military are disarmed on bases. 30:00 - Our Mad Mom's Fight for Justice Report on the crisis of Family Law Enforcement, with their guest, Elizabeth, talking about child support horrors. 1:05:00 - This was an incredible hour of breaking news from Jim Dykes, a Director of Florida Carry, a constitutional/open carry firearms advocacy group. We had panel discussions, information, and callers Anthony, Pianki, and Kevin Sona another Director of Florida Carry, joined in our conversations at different times during the hour. We dealt with the show title issue of why military personnel are denied exercising their Second Amendment rights on bases, after having sworn an oath to protect those rights. 1:12:30 - This is where Anthony joined us. 1:21:00 - Jim Dykes gives us his breaking news statement from Florida Carry. 1:43:00 - Pianki called with the great observation that until he is talking on the show, he wants to throw things. In his words, "this isn't a show for the comfy chair!" 1:45:40 - Kevin Sona, another Director of Florida Carry joined here. For the rest of the show all of us had a free for all discussion that Action Radio is getting known for. Action Radio Show - 11/26/19 - Show Timeline: Introduction: I told the story of how Anthony Nunez, student at Florida International University, member of Florida Carry, new head of Students for Concealed Carry on his campus, as well as a firearms instructor, post a bill to WriteYourLaws.com seeking to block universities and colleges from banning adult students from carrying concealed firearms. He joined us at the start of the second hour to make the bill a whole lot more comprehensive. 9:00 - Trump Campaign Update, courtesy of Annie Delgado, President of Trump 2020 Florida. Task Force on Missing and Murdered American Indian Women and Children executive order signed. We need to get this task force on with Chief Sky Horse of the Santa Rosa Creek Tribe on his Wedneday 7:30 am Central time reports. 12:40 - The sneaky re-authorization of The Patriot Act, the bogus Continuing Resolution, and Josey's call on the abortion clinic. 31:00 - The Karen Hoffman Investigative Report. Patriot Act. Scrap it. Karen's main topic was Rep. Ilhan Omar being accused of spying for Qatar as a member of Congress, and those U.S. secrets being passed to Iran. She can have her U.S. citizenship revoked simply for working for a foreign government. If true that she is a foreign spy, selected and groomed years ago, she needs to be arrested and prosecuted, and so does her whole organization. 49:00 Pianki a regular caller joined Karen and me with more insights into the Somali/American world. 1:02:00 - Anthony Nunez and I made radio history again, by actually crafting a bill over the course of an hour. Action Radio Show! Veterans Day! - 11/11/19 - Show Timeline: Introduction: Introduction to the Second Amendment County Sanctuary Bill. Talking Action Radio basics, life here in NW Florida, and the conditions that make this bill possible. 11:00 - Michael Taylor and Stephen Parris, both of Florida Carry, joined me for a discussion of the 2A Sanctuary bill, of rights in general, and a bunch of surprising topics that came up. Because Michael found his legislators, in office, so woefully uninformed about the Constitution, we thought we should write a Florida Legislative Constitutional Orientation Act so they all have a basic working knowledge going in. Stephen wants this for all people running for office nationwide. We even got onto why a drivers license is a privilege, and not a right as I think it should. That will come up again. 46:00 - Mad Moms FIght For Justice, our weekly family law report. The topic is toxic narcissistic relationships, how to recognize them with red flags, deal with them, deal with your narcissistic ex in family court, how to differentiate the personality disordered narcisist from the harmless selfie taking one. A true psychopathic, sociopathic narcissist has no empathy, no emotion, no conscience, and will delight in destroying your life for their own enjoyment and entertainment. 1:32:05 - Got back to our main topic after some announcements particularly our local car show. Then I went into a general discussion of 2A Sanctuaries in preparation for tomorrows detailed discussion of my bill. *** Action Radio Show! - 10/10/19 Wow!!!! Show Timeline: Introduction: We flew right out of the gate with Shelby Frenette doing her Cruise and Travel Report which she couldn't do on Tuesday. We talked about single travel, and getting lost, and travel reviews, and a bunch of our usual whatever comes up chatter. 30:00 - Pretty much on time we had a couple of announcements and went right to The Art Report with Wendy Arthur. Today she talked about Christianity and art, and how the galleries are now censoring by "political correctness," in other words denying anything conservative or Christian into the galleries. She also talked about her own DimemsionMinistries.org which will be a non-proft organization, art school, and gallery, including the most controversial and religious based art. 45:00 - Tina Terry, with The Carnivore Diet Report kind of merged in with Wendy, and then talked about the Atkins Diet and the origins of high fat low carbs, and the dude who preached exactly the opposite and got us all in a mess of obesity and a ton of other health problems. 1:00:00 - Again merging into our main topic, Florida Rep. Anthony Sabatini, Kevin Sona, and a huge number of callers, up to six on the line at the same time, talked about Rep. Sabatini's bills for "Constitutional Carry" and "Campus Carry." From the technical aspects of the bills, to philosophy and culture, we covered as much as we could in the time available. Rep. Sabatini had to leave about 1:40:00, but we continued on. You simply have to listen to this amazing discussion. *** On the Timebar -- At 20:00 Stephen Parris of Florida Carry, at 25:00 Derek Park with the Financial Report, at 30:00 is Wendy Arthur with the OMG! Report, at 45:00 is Jean Virnig Action Radio's Lifecoach, at 1:00:00 is my guest Gregory Merk on his Trojan Horse article of Climate Change and Racism. After these great reports and my guest at 1:35:00 we got back to the show topic. My intro concerned the main point that censored information is voter suppression. How can people make decisions with only Leftist information available on Google searches. Currently Facebook is severly limited my social media outreach because I post a story on an Israeli physisist who actually said the sun drives the climate! What heresay! My conclusion is that censoring information is voter suppression, that ideology deeserves every bit the civil right protection that skin color does, and that the algorithms of Google need to be abolished so that everyone has equal access to all information. They are public entities now and they can't cut off conservatives simply because Google wants to control the country and force the President they want on the rest of us. *** The title says it all. Law abiding gun owners are not the problem, so stealing those rights by government, and demonizing those rights and the people who exercise them, by media and extremist hate groups who hate our freedoms, isn't going to solve the problem, and it creates a whole new crime of civil gun rights violations. Calls started 30 minutes in. Pianki a regular caller and citizen legislator. Rob comes with a news and firearms background. Kevin is from Florida Carry. Sarge is former military and police. Michael is a candidate for office. They all joined us in a wide ranging discussion on how to separate the prosecution of criminals, from the prosecution, and rights and property seizures of the law abiding. You can't stop murderers by taking guns from the very citizens who would stop those murderers. We have become morally deprived, and from that, morally depraved. Fame is more desirable than life. Taking rights to "do something" after a mass murder, is not the solution. Having more people exercise their civil gun rights, and restoring our moral and spiritual fiber is. *** This was as packed as it gets. From my opening rant on Mussolini's Declaration of Fascism to accurately describe what fascism actually is, to our announcement by Stephen Parris of Florida Carry 20 minutes in about their open carry event at the Navarre Pier tomorrow, to Derek Park and his Financial Report 25 minutes in, to the OMG! Report by Wendy Arthur 30 minutes in describing Fascism and the other "isms" as hell on Earth, to the Environment Report by Gloria Horning about climate change and rising seas particularly at military bases after hurricanes and floods, to our guest Jean Virnig our new life coach starting the second hour, tto the last 20 minutes of the show where we went back to the beginning topic with Dave and Pianki and discussed why todays Fascists say they are anit-Fascist, and why calling Trump a Nazi is like calling Hitler a Libertarian. It's an irrational opposite resulting from projection of the real Fascists own hatred of freedom, prosperity, individual rights and limited government. Riding Shotgun With Charlie #047 Steve Merrette Florida Carry Its the 5th Tuesday of the month and I'm putting out an extra RSWC episode! RSWC #047 Steve Merrette https://youtu.be/ib06CNc7j1w You never know when you'll find a new friend or a new guest. When I attended the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Tampa in 2016, I had no idea what kind of ride I was about to go on. At this event, I met many of my firearms 'idols', all the cool "rock stars" of the gun community. This trip I got to meet so many great people. Steve Merrette was one of them. He & his wife sat behind me for the conference. We became friend on Facebook and started following each other. Steve was one of the people that I wanted to hand out with and get to know better on the Florida Carry trip in February 2019. Of course, he wanted to come Riding Shotgun! He spends time covering his military experience and handling firearms. He got out of it while his kids were young. He does have a DUI in his past in New York state, which followed him to Florida. When he decided it was time to get a firearm permit in Florida, he had to clean up the mess that was in his past. It took some time and some money, but he got it cleared up and got his Rights back. Going thru this process is how he was introduced to Florida Carry and the work that they do. Steve and I have some laughs, talking about the GLOCK sock, boy bands, and what to tell people if they see you're carrying. Riding Shotgun With Charlie #045 Massad Ayoob The Man, The Myth, The Legend! What can I say? He’s been the self defense go to guru since the 1970’s. He’s been influential on instructors, police officer, and authors since he started. He started the Lethal Force Institute in New Hampshire. LFI turned into Massad Ayoob Group and the MAG 20 and MAG 40 courses. Mas has author two dozen books in guns, the effects and aftermath of dealing with a lethal encounter. The Gun Rights Policy Conference in Tampa 2016 is when I first met Mas. I asked him to sign my copy of In The Gravest Extreme. I also mentioned Riding Shotgun With Charlie and I’d love to have him as a passenger. Alan Gottlieb was behind him and he say “Mas, you’ve GOT to to Riding Shotgun With Charlie!”. Mas said “OK, when do we do this?”. I said “Well, I don’t have a car, but if you give me your contact I’ll see what I can set up.”. I was shocked it was “that easy” to ask. I went to New Hampshire in the summer of 2018 to hear Mas speak about suicide prevention. I spoke with his wife Gail Pepin about the possibility of setting up and interview and she was very receptive. Kevin Sona (RSWC #043) asked me to speak at the Florida Carry event in February 2019. Then he tells me that Mas is speaking as well would I be interested in having him on RSWC. Um….YEAH!!! After speaking at the event, Mas agreed to get into the passenger seat, drive around with a stranger, in a place neither of us have been to. This was a big deal for me. I can’t thank Massad Ayoob enough for taking the time, sharing some stories, and having a few laughs. And to Gail for hanging out while we did the interview. And of course, thanks to Kevin for having the event and asking both of us to speak. You can find all things Massad Ayoob at https://massadayoobgroup.com/ . Riding Shotgun With Charlie #043 Kevin Sona (& KJ Sona) Open Carry, Camping & Alligators Kevin organized a number of events for Florida Carry. We filmed this after a camping event in Dunnellon, FL, where there were a number of speakers and campers. We met in Tampa at GRPC in 2016. Kevin kept in touch and we struck up a friendship and mutual admiration club. He says he's camera shy and doesn't want to be out front, but he's a great organizer! And we need people like him to make things happen! He's started the America Under Distress Facebook page after he was booted for using his 1st Amendment on some other Facebook pages. Its been successful gaining almost 700 members. This has given him the chance to reach more people and get the freedom message out to more people. His newest venture is City Tavern Talk. They've got a YouTube channel and Facebook page. You should check them out and subscribe to it. We drive to see come alligators, switch seats, and have a lot of laughs. Riding Shotgun With Charlie #042 Rob Morse I met Rob Morse at the GRPC in Tampa in 2016. I was asked to be on the Polite Society Podcast, where Rob is a co-host. He also does the Self Defense Gun Stories and he writes for Slow Facts as well. His Slow Facts blogs are often posted on other websites like AmmoLand, as well. And he's a reoccurring guest on Bill Frady's Lock N Load Radio. At the GRPC in Chicago this past September, Rob earned the Ray Carter Blogger of the Year award. Besides being a writer and a podcaster, in his 'regular life' he's an design engineer and analyst during the day, and a civil rights activist after hours. He's a very smart man and before he speaks you can see his brain working before the words come out. That keeps him very articulate and on point. I was hoping to get to interview Rob in Chicago, but it worked out in Florida instead. He's one of the great guys that I'm glad to call a friend. He's there with good solid idea, as much as they may be uncomfortable. Rob was coming to the Florida Carry campout from February 15-17. He drove all the way from the Louisiana/Texas border to central Florida. There were a couple of speakers that weren't able to make it, so he stepped right in like a pro and filled the need. It was great to finally have Rob hop in the passenger seat of the (rented) stagecoach! Please check out the episode on YouTube and listen on iTunes.
