Jessica Leigh shares the story of her son's birth and it was nothing like she could have planned or ever imagined. It was found that her cervix was starting to shorten at 28 weeks, then with funneling at 32 weeks. This ultimately resulted in the premature rupture of membranes at 35 weeks. The birth of her son was fast and the story doesn't end there – what followed was a postpartum hemorrhage, surgery…then more surgery at 3 weeks postpartum.Make sure you follow the Messy in the Middle Instagram page: https://instagram.com/_messyinthemiddle_?igshid=NTdlMDg3MTY=And if you want to share your story, please get in contact with me either through the Instagram page or email me at messyinthemiddle.fertility@gmail.com

In this bonus episode, your host, Jessica Leigh, gives an update on her current suspected miscarriage experience. She describes in detail all the symptoms she was feeling to lead her to having no doubt in her mind that this pregnancy was as good as over. But so far, there isn't enough evidence to make the official call as her HCG is still rising and an early scan showing only a gestational sac. This is raw, this is vulnerable and we still don't know the outcome and that's what makes this the messiest middle of them all…the tortuous wait of, am I pregnant or am I not?Make sure you follow the Messy in the Middle Instagram page: https://instagram.com/_messyinthemiddle_?igshid=NTdlMDg3MTY=And if you want to share your story, please get in contact with me either through the Instagram page or email me at messyinthemiddle.fertility@gmail.com

She's also a 2022 Winner in the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. In 2018 she compiled her essays into a book called "Savannah Sideways." The first episode of Messy in the Middle kicks off with the telling of my story. I always thought my first miscarriage was just a little hiccup in the road as I successfully went on to give birth to my son. I never imagined that secondary infertility would become a part of my reality. I walk you through my second miscarriage, how the 3 consecutive loss rule is absolute crap and the subsequent diagnosis of Ashermans Syndrome and the discovery of a unicornuate uterus. I am in the trenches, still completely unsure if my dreams of another baby will ever come to fruition. Jessica Leigh is among those behind an event taking place at the bandstand in Clapham Common at 6pm on Saturday. A survey for UN Women UK, published this week, found that 97 per cent of women aged 18-24 said they have been sexually harassed. Similar vigils are due to be held across the UK. Listen up, when it comes to creating a healthy & balanced relationship with your body, first thing is to ELIMINATE the habits that are no longer serving you!We all have our own healing journey in life & for those of us that have really struggled with our bodies & our relationship with food, know the STRUGGLE IS REAL!And in all of my learning & healing & growing, what I'm VERY clear on is that it is NEVER really about the food.It is always something deeper. A deeper part of yourself that longs to be seen & cared for. This is where you get to have compassion for yourself & realize that your journey is not linear & you are NOT alone. As Empaths & HSPs, its normal to struggle with processing our emotions in a way that FEELS GOOD.It is so much easier to continue to live distracted, play small & stay in our comfort zone. You're not here to play small & stay in suffering!(unless you want to of course & then by all means, you do you)BUT I'm here to REMIND you that you're here to whip up magic, heal & remember that you are ENOUGH & deserving of all that you long for.My guest today, Jessica Leigh, is an Inner Voice & Body Image Coach & passionate about supporting women in exploring the wisdom of their body's cravings. She has taken her years of suffering, subscribing to diet culture & self-sabotage and transformed not only her own life, but inspires others to show up, do the inner work & experience EMOTIONAL FREEDOM in their own lives!SO GOOD!!Don't forget to rate & leave a review! You're support & feedback are invaluable to me!!xo, RoddyConnect with Jessica Leigh HEREConnect with Roddy on IG HERESupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/theroddymethod?fan_landing=true)

“How do I find my passion?” “I know what my calling is, but how do I actually go about putting it into action?” These are two statements I hear ALL. THE. TIME. On today’s episode, I’m pumped to be chatting with Jessica Leigh in this very area! Jessica shares the impact she’s making in the world (based on her passion to helping women feel seen and heard), but it gets even better. We also open the hood on her business that makes it happen. Yup. Unlike ever before, Jessica shares details and strategy and exact “step-by-step” processes on turning that passion into reality. If you’re someone looking to find your passion, or you already know what it is and you want to make it real, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. #StayCurious

Grammy award-winning DJ Maseo of legendary Afrocentric rap group De La Soul, is teaming up with SSH Investments to build a budding pizza franchise. Pierre's Eatery is a unique culinary mix of French, Greek and Italian food all made fresh daily from top quality ingredients. Pierre's only serves meat from humanely treated animals – there is no pork on site – which results in delicious culinary twists such as an all-beef pepperoni pizza. Each franchise also features its sister store Three Layers Café, which brings a community coffee house feel and delicious treats such as the famous J Squared dessert – nicknamed "crack on a plate" by the Florida Times Union due to its obsessive following.DJ Maseo will be leading the opening of 54 stores nationwide in the coming year. As a singer-songwriter she's recorded two albums and opened for bands such as: Jethro Tull, Vonda Shepard, Dan Fogelberg, and Doyle Dykes to name a few. She even recorded and performed with Janis Joplin's band, Big Brother and the Holding Company. As a vocal graduate of Douglas Anderson and a student at North Carolina School of the Arts, she studied singing in the following various styles: Opera, Blues, Musical Theater, Jazz and World Music. Jessica Leigh continues to build her varied repertoire while songwriting and maintaining independent music studies. Currently, you can hear her doing backup vocals with Mama Blue as well as maintaining performances as a solo artist." Guest Interview: Jessica Leigh Walton The first step in her career was at 15 when she picked up a guitar. Her dad helped facilitate her interest in guitar. Her dad was actually the first person to record her in his studio. Her dad who owned a guitar shop surprisingly didn’t play guitar. Jessica has two kids, 18 & 19, who are both musicians as well. She chose to find someone to teach her daughter guitar instead of being a dictatorial mother trying to teach her guitar. Once she started managing herself she was exposed to so many more genres. She idolized Janis Joplin, she was actually able to perform with Joplin’s band. One of the songs on her second album was a song that Joplin was actually supposed to sing. She sings backup for Mama Blue. They’ve been friends since high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where they both attended. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tastetestlive/message
