Send us a textEver wonder who laid the groundwork for the podcasts you binge today? We're thrilled to host the tech visionary Ken Rutkowski, the inventor of the first podcast-like technology for PDAs in the 1990s. Ken reveals the fascinating story of his journey and the unexpected sale to Microsoft that changed the game. We also explore the unique benefits of both audio and video podcasts, and Ken shares his surprising take on using workout time to consume educational content, likening music to brain "carbs."Our chat then shifts gears as we recount the creation of METAL (Media, Entertainment, Technology, Arts, and Leaders) in Los Angeles during the dot-com bubble burst. The evolution of this network, especially its transition to a global Zoom community during the Covid era, brought unparalleled insights and speakers from around the world. We challenge preconceived notions about travel destinations like Dubai, Beirut, and Tel Aviv, emphasizing the transformative power of firsthand experiences and the benefits of remote work in discovering hidden gems. Finally, we distinguish between being a connector and a networker, using poignant examples like Bill Clinton's genuine care and memory for personal details to illustrate the impact of intentional relationships. We discuss contemporary men's struggles, notably environmental impacts on testosterone, and outline eight core principles for men's success. Rounding it out is Ken's passionate take on living well in Bangkok, highlighting the city's superior food quality, impressive gym facilities, and overall appeal. Join us for a conversation packed with invaluable life lessons and practical advice for personal growth, networking, and well-being.How to Reach Ken Rutkowski:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kenradio/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kenrutkowski/Metal Men: https://metal.men/ To Reach Jordan:Email: Jordan@Edwards.Consulting Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9ejFXH1_BjdnxG4J8u93Zw Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jordan.edwards.7503 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jordanfedwards/ Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jordanedwards5/ Hope you find value in this. If you talk to enough successful business people most will agree that one of the key reasons many people fail is...they do not have a plan to succeed! Some people don't know how to plan, and some are just waiting for success to come get them. They wake up in the morning and just expect that success will have miraculously shown up overnight. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Success is not a gamble. It is not an accident; it is not fate, it is something that happens as a result of specific things that successful people do. It has been said, “Successful people do every day what other people aren’t willing to do.” We are going to share some amazing insights from phenomenal successful business women that you WANT to know - SANDRA YANCEY. But I will warn you - The truth is success takes work! From performers to business people the ones who succeed are the ones who work at it – diligently - every day. Success in business isn't something they wish for wait for or hope for; it is something they make happen, and they do it starting off by having a plan for success. And now you can too! There are some very solid things you can DO to succeed. These are the kinds of things we can’t do by accident these are things we need to have planned out (and then follow them). To give us insight in succeeding on purpose, host Steve Kidd is delighted to be joined by a phenomenally successful woman - Sandra Yancey! Sandra has built the largest women's networking organization in the world and has surrounded herself with powerhouse friends, mentors and talent like Mark Cuban, Ken Rutkowski, Lisa Nichols, Matthew Knowles and so many others. Sandra is one of THE go to people for business advice. Listen in as Steve talks with the one, the only, the amazing – SANDRA YANCEY!

Ken Rutkowski is, hands down, one of the most connected people I’ve ever met. And not in that very East Coast, I know everyone, sort of way, But rather, in a friendly West Coast, I know just the person who can help you, manner. Many years ago I spoke at his weekly METal (Media, Entertainment and Technology Alpha Leaders) event which has become a key node in what Ken calls the ‘Creative Coast’, an emerging epicentre of innovation and disruption in Los Angeles. Ken Rutkowski founded ‘Business Rockstars’, which was the number one business radio talk show in America, heard on over 185 radio stations nationwide, reaching 3.5 Million daily listeners. Catching up in Las Vegas, we had a far ranging discussion about the power of podcasting, the future of radio, why Apple needs to become a content company, why LA is better than NYC, the merits of uploading your personality into the Cloud, why Ken has been using electroshock therapy to boost his IQ and whether or not the Chinese have figured out quantum encryption.

I've been listening regularly since a few episodes before Alex came on board.First of all the combination of you and Alex is excellent. I like the fact that the two of you are on either end of the sound spectrum so it is very easy to tell you apart. There are many shows I listen to that I have a hard time telling who's who and that's important. You both also have different personalities. Alex is definitely the one who is capable of getting lit up (angry/excited) on air. Rob is almost always cool calm and collected. Perfect combo. To get technical I don't think "Spreaker Live show" is the best title for what you guys are doing. First of all Rob, you mentioned last week that most people do not listen to this show live. Most listen to it on demand. When I hear or see the word "LIVE" I think Saturday night LIVE or some sort of entertainment show. It's not that I don't think you guys aren't entertaining, but I don't think that is the primary reason that this show exists. "LIVE" should be saved for a show that Spreaker produces that has special guests from the entertainment world and so on.Your show is a HELP show. A SUPPORT show. A TIPS and IDEAS show. I know this is technical but I think it is important. “Spreaker Support LIVE” is a decent name. You know exactly what you are getting and people would probably be amazed that the Support department is going LIVE! Most people assume that it is very difficult to get in touch with ANY support dept. So consider that and play around with a name, Frankly Spreaker Support live says it all to me.
