We send out our deepest sympathies to area families that will be devastated by the American Airlines plane that crashed in DC when an Army helicopter got in its way.  The flight originated in Wichita and, as we all view our part of the country as a region, we know this will impact thousands.  May god rest the souls of all involved with this crash as there are no survivors.     The Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl with on confident kick returner.  Wait until you hear how Travis Kelce made this happen.   The Royals sign closer Carlos Estevez to a three year, $33 million contract to pair up with Lucas Erceg as KC now believes it has an elite tandem for the 8th and 9th innings.   GOP lawmakers want the state department and president Trump to stop work visas with the nation of Chile.  It's all related to the burglaries of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce's homes.    RFK Jr was great in his senate hearing for HHS Director but it may not be enough, I'll play my favorite clip of his testimony.    CNN has an odd take on immigration affecting women's favorite drinks and Kansas AG Kris Kobach is going after Costco.

As children of God, we often find ourselves seeking His divine presence, not in a building or a particular place, but in the person of Jesus Christ. Mr. Kobach once encapsulated this beautifully with his statement: "Whereas in the past, God had a temple for His people, today God has a people for His temple."   His words echo the scripture in 1 Corinthians 3:16, where Apostle Paul writes: "Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?" And again, in 1 Corinthians 6:19, he reminds us, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"   This is not a one-off assertion. In 2 Corinthians 6:16, it is again emphasized, "What agreement can a temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God. Just as God has said: 'I will dwell with them and walk among them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.'"   How profoundly beautiful it is that, as believers in Christ, we bear God's presence within us. Unlike in the Old Testament times, when God's presence was confined to a physical building, we are blessed with the privilege of carrying His presence wherever we go. Imagine the joy of never being devoid of God's presence. As we walk with Jesus, God's Spirit dwells with us. Isn't that incredible?   Yet, this is not the end of the revelation. The Apostle Peter goes further to describe how we, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5). Here, he suggests that something within us is being constructed as we continuously seek Jesus. Not just in terms of numbers, but in a spiritual transformation that occurs within us, an ongoing process of spiritual growth and enlargement, leading to a deeper experience of God's presence.   It reminds me of Paul's instructions in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up," and again in 1 Corinthians 10:23-24, "Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial... No one should seek his own good, but the good of others." The building up Paul refers to is an internal process that each believer undergoes, akin to a spiritual building project.   There is an encouraging promise in Ephesians 1:13, "In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit." This sealing implies an indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Still, as Peter suggests, there is a sense in which we can experience more of God's presence.   Paul's prayer for the Ephesians in Ephesians 3:14-19 perfectly encapsulates this longing for a deeper, more intimate experience of God's presence, ending with the plea: "...that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Why would Paul pray for the Ephesians to be filled with all the fullness of God unless it were possible to have God but not experience Him in His fullness?   The challenge for us, then, is to continue coming to Jesus, continually being built up into a spiritual temple, a place in which God more and more fully dwells.   Moreover, as we come to Jesus and receive more of His presence, we also become conduits through which God leads others in worship. We become a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices (1 Peter 2:5). We get the unique privilege of leading others to a deeper relationship with God, not through ritualistic sacrifices, but through sacrifices of our bodies (Romans 12:1-2), our praise (Hebrews 13:15), and our giving (Philippians 4:18).   In essence, we are not mere observers or bystanders. We are active participants, living stones in God's spiritual house, priests in His holy priesthood, carrying His presence wherever we go, and facilitating others to experience His presence. So let's not be content with a mere "watered-down" experience of God. Let's seek the fullness of God in our lives, and let's be those through whom God leads others in worship.

It's Wednesday, February 22nd, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldView.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Chinese Communists claim tithes and offerings are “illegal” China Aid released its 2022 Annual Persecution Report last Monday. The Chinese Communist Party continues its persecution of churches and has introduced new methods as well. For example, house church leaders now face fraud charges. Authorities claim the tithes and offerings they receive are illegal. The government has also implemented strict regulations for online religious content to remove Christianity from the internet. Bob Fu with China Aid said, “Their goal is not only to curate a ‘socialist-friendly' church; they hope to erase it. The international community needs to know about these trends and developments as China continues to rise on the global stage.” Anglican Church condemns Church of England's pro-homosexual stance On Monday, the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches released a statement in response to the Church of England's new blessing services for homosexual couples. Anglican leaders said the decision by the Church of England and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby forfeits their leadership role of the global Communion. The letter stated, “the Church of England has departed from the historic faith passed down from the Apostles.” The Global South Fellowship represents Anglican congregations across South America, Asia, and Africa.  In a 12-minute speech last week, Calvin Robinson, a deacon with the Free Church of England, called the Church of England to repent. ROBINSON: “You do not have the authority to bless sin. When I hear the Bishop of London, on record, saying these new prayers will mean priests can bless same-sex relationships, some of which may be sexual in nature, I hear the devil at work. Bishops are promoting the idea of sacramental sodomy. Let them be anathema. Repent!” Revelation 2:5 says, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.” British court acquitted two pro-life advocates of absurd charges Last Thursday, a British court acquitted two pro-life advocates of all charges. Police recently charged Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the CEO of March for Life UK, and Sean Gough, a Catholic priest, for praying near abortion mills. Local authorities have established censorship zones around abortion mills. In the coming weeks, the U.K. Parliament will consider bringing such censorship zones to the whole country. After the recent ruling, Spruce said, “I'm glad I've been vindicated of any wrongdoing. But I should never have been arrested for my thoughts and treated like a criminal simply for silently praying on a public street.” Similarly, Gough said, “If the government imposes censorship zones around every abortion facility in the country, as they are considering doing with the Public Order Bill currently under discussion, who knows how many more people will stand trial, even face prison, for offering help, or for praying in their mind?” Isaiah 10:1-2 says, “Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!" Kansas blocked Walgreens from selling abortion Kill Pill In the United States, Kansas has kept the pharmacy chain Walgreens from selling the abortion Kill Pill in the state. After the Biden administration dropped certain regulations on abortion drugs, chains like Walgreens, CVS, and RiteAid announced, to their shame, they would be selling them. Kris Kobach, the state's Republican Attorney General, warned Walgreens that selling the drugs would violate state and federal law. On Monday, Walgreens responded by saying they would not be sending the abortion Kill Pill into Kansas. Kobach said, “This is a significant victory for the pro-life cause and for women's health.” Hebrew Bible auctioning for $50 million And finally, the oldest, most complete Hebrew Bible is going up for auction in May for $30 million to $50 million. It could become the most expensive historical document ever sold at auction. Known as the Codex Sassoon, the book dates back to the late 9th or early 10th century. It contains the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible with only 12 leaves missing. Sharon Liberman Mintz, a senior Judaica specialist at Sotheby's, said, “In Codex Sassoon, a monumental transformation in the history of the Hebrew Bible is revealed. The biblical text in book format marks a critical turning point in how we perceive the history of the Divine word across thousands of years and is a transformative witness to how the Hebrew Bible has influenced the pillars of civilization — art, culture, law, politics — for centuries.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Wednesday, February 22nd in the year of our Lord 2023. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. U.S. Intelligence officials released their “Global Trends” report and its pretty bleak. As the Washington Post headline reads: “Intelligence forecast sees a post-coronavirus world upended by climate change and splintering societies.” Biden’s infrastructure bill is pretty awesome.  A new study by the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, found that most of the January insurrectionists came from counties with the most significant declines in the non-Hispanic White population. That is, most didn’t come from deep read counties; they came from places like Bucks County, PA that is experiencing a significant shift in demographics. The study also found that those involved in the insurrection are older and more professional than right-wing groups studies in the past; they were all, however, 95% white and 85% male. The lead researcher, political scientist Robert Pape, suggests that 90% of the insurrectionists are still in the process of congealing into a mass movement that is willing to put “violence at its core.” The Senate parliamentarian, Elizabeth MacDonough, helped pave the way for Democrats to use budget reconciliation again this fiscal year to pass Biden’s proposed $2 trillion infrastructure plan. She stated that the Section 304 of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 allows for the Senate to use reconciliation more than once a fiscal year, because it says "the two Houses may adopt a concurrent resolution on the budget which revises or reaffirms the concurrent resolution on the budget for such fiscal year most recently agreed to."  Just to balance the equation apparently, Joe Manchin flip-flops, saying that there is no way he would vote to get rid of or weaken the filibuster.  Biden’s new Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, calls for a single minimum global corporate tax.  Biden announced on Thursday moves to end gun-maker liability protections as part of a series of executive actions in response to gun violence.  Things just get worse and worse for Trump-loving, and all-around creepy, Florida congressman Matt Gaetz.  The New York Times reported that Gaetz went pardon shopping in the final weeks of Trump’s term.  Apparently he asked Trump for an unconditional pardon for any crimes he may or may not have committed. One out of every three UK teachers plans to quit in the next 5 years because of rapidly increasing workload and growing disrespect for teachers. That’s according to the results of a survey that the National Education Union asked of 10,000 members.  Congratulations to Kadida Kenner from the Pennsylvania Budget Policy Center & We The People for accepting her new role as Executive Director at The New Pennsylvania Project.  Kadida will be fighting to protect voting rights right here in Pennsylvania as Republicans continue to push Trump’s Big Lie in 2020 and ramp up their nationwide attacks on voting rights. Speaking of the attacks on voting rights by Pennsylvania Republicans, Republicans Daryl Metcalfe, Seth Grove, Cris Dush and dozens of other conservative republicans were spotted having dinner with Chris Kobach Tuesday evening.  Kobach was the Secretary of State in Kansas and helped weaponize Trump’s unfounded election fraud claims in 2016. If that’s not bad enough, Seth Grove is wrapping up his show hearings on the 2020 elections and has started inviting Koch aligned front groups to push their anti-voter agenda at the latest House State Government Committee hearings.  Grove had members from the Foundation for Government Accountability and the Heritage Foundation’s Honest Elections Project speak at his most recent hearings. In their 2021 Gerrymandering Threat Index, Represent.us has moved Pennsylvania into the moderate risk category as PA Republicans gear up their voting repression machine.  Get ready Pennsylvania, because the push to restrict rights at the ballot box is coming our way. Rep. Scott Perry struggles with using Venn diagrams. Did you know that if you offer people a discount to shop at your store you just might be part of the plan of microchipped lizard-men to eat your liberties? It could happen. Well, and it kind of did happen to Donna Gouldery, a owner of Allora Gifts & Home Decor in Doylestown, PA. The crazy story is highlighted in Cyril Mychalejko’s latest column, “Hysterical social media mob targets Doylestown business woman.” We’ll get into it.  COVID cases and hospitalizations continue to rise in PA and NJ even as vaccines roll out.  The University of Pittsburgh is has ordered students to shelter in place as coronavirus cases spike again.  70% of PASSHE faculty oppose mergers.  NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter survived its first several days detached from the Perseverance rover. Yesterday, the little helicopter unlocked its rotors and will go through a series of tests before attempting the first-ever powered flight on the Red Planet sometime after Sunday, April 11. .  It’s official, I am signed up for the 2021 Mars Society Virtual Convention. Yes, Raging Chicken will be attending this year’s Mars Society Convention from October 14-17. brings together prominent scientists, policymakers, entrepreneurs and space advocates to discuss the significance of the latest scientific discoveries, technological advances and political-economic-social developments that could affect plans for the human exploration and settlement of Mars. The Mars Society was founded in 1998 by Robert Zubrin, who Motherboard writer Abraham Riesman calls, the “Right-Wing Mars Guru.” Down the rabbit hole I go.

DJ Smith is the co-founder of The Glimpse Group, an XR technologies accelerator that’s doing startup incubating in a whole new way. Listen as Smith explains to Alan how Glimpse works, and some of the tech companies that are already beginning to grow under its umbrella. Alan: We have an amazing guest today: DJ Smith is the co-founder and chief creative officer at The Glimpse Group. The Glimpse Group is a holding company for a portfolio of 10 startups, focused on virtual and augmented reality industries. At Glimpse, DJ’s responsibilities include overseeing the production of all the VR and AR content, as well as leading efforts to locate new subsidiary companies. In addition, DJ is the organizer of the New York virtual reality meetup. NYVR hosts monthly events focused on virtual reality technology and the premiere venue for the industry networking collaboration within New York City. NYVR is the second-largest virtual meetup in the world, with over 6,000 members. Prior to entering the VR/AR industry, DJ worked 20 years in the real estate and construction industries. The Glimpse Group is a company designed with the specific purpose of cultivating entrepreneurs in VR, AR, and of course, XR. The business model simplifies many of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, while simultaneously providing investors with an opportunity to invest directly into the VR/AR space. The Glimpse Group will fund, cultivate, and manage business operations while providing a strong network of professional relationships. Being part of The Glimpse Group allows entrepreneurs to maximize their time and resources in pursuit of their mission-critical endeavors. They’ve invested in 10 companies, which we’ll get into this show, but the 10 companies are Adept Reality, In It, D6 VR, Kobach, Immersive Health Group, KreatAR, Number9, Early Adopter, MotionZone, Foretell Studios, and I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot more on the show. To learn more about The Glimpse Group, visit TheGlimpseGroup.com. Welcome to the show, DJ. DJ: Thank you very much for the amazing introduction. Alan: It’s my absolute pleasure. I’ve been waiting for this call for so long, I’m really excited to have you on the show. Tell us, how did you get into virtual/ augmented/mixed reality, or XR technologies? DJ: Sure. It’s a life calling that I was seeking for many, many years. In 2012, I saw the Palmer Luckey Kickstarter video, and I was like, “it has finally arrived!” So from that point on — it’s kind of a pivotal moment in time for me and my life – I started buying all the toys; really, just absorbing as much tech as I possibly could. The meet up was formed shortly after that. I think the meet up started with 10 people in a dusty old conference room, and it just has steadily grown and grown and grown, and as it grew, my involvement in the industry grew and grew and grew. So we’re now the, I believe, the second-largest VR meetup in the world. It basically put me in direct connection with many of the developers in the city. The big entities; the Googles, Microsofts, where we would hold our event, as well as the whole investment community. Then, about four years ago, the Oculus Rift and the VIVE was coming out, and I saw that there was an opportunity to actually start making a living out of it. I put in my notice in my construction job, and a week later I met my current business partner, Lyron Bentovim, who saw the same timing and opportunity within the space. He came from the investment side of things; had his own tech startup, ran hedge funds, and was most recently involved in publicly-traded companies. He had the idea of the Glimpse business model, which was taking bits and pieces from his experience of hedging bets and the challenges with a typical VC
