Topics covered : Parents separating, trauma, guilt, alcoholism, addiction, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, success, rock bottom, hope, finding meaning, love, purpose. I'm on a break over the Christmas period so I am re-releasing a few episodes over the next few weeks that really connected with listeners from 2023.In September I spoke to dog lover and activist Niall Harbison. If you're an animal lover and you're on social media, there is a strong possibility that you already follow Niall.Originally from Co. Tyrone, he grew up in Brussels but never lost his Irish accent. And over the past 21 months he has been devoting his time to help save street dogs in Thailand. And to fully understand the man he is today; we need to go back through some of the experiences that have shaped him in his life. When he was 13, his parents separated, and his mother then had a relationship with an abusive partner which had a massive impact on him. He has been a private chef of Billionaires, a successful and at times controversial entrepreneur, and at his lowest point he found himself in ICU after a drink and drug fuelled binge. He's been sober for about 3 years now and his mission is to half the population of stray dogs in the world over the next 20-30 years. His book – ‘Hope - how street dogs have taught me the meaning of life' was released this Autumn and it's an incredible read.I hope you feel inspired by our conversation as Niall is the perfect example of how it's never too late to change your life. For more information on the work he's doing and if you'd like to donate…Click hereResources :If you need to talk to someone, you can contact a Samaritan on Freephone 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.ieIf you're a fan of my pod, please follow, rate and review in all the usual places. And thanks, as always, for your support of Ready to be Real. This episode originally aired in June 2022 as part of Season 1 of Cultivate. For those who are new to the Cultivate podcast, or if you missed this episode, we're excited to share it again! Backyard barbecues, picnics, family reunions, impromptu gatherings - these are staple part of many of our summers. In classical Christian education, we value incorporating communal meals (we like to call them feasts!) into our school days, and there are many good reasons why your family can and should find ways to integrate regular feasting and fellowship with your friends, relatives, neighbors, church family, etc. This episode will inspire you to open your doors and tables more often, and even alleviate your frets on whether you have enough time or resources to make more gatherings happen. Katharine Savage of Philadelphia Classical Schools talks with Ty about how regular gatherings have shaped her life, family, church, and school, and give tips on why and you can make it happen in your family, too! Keeping this rhythm can help your family grow not only relationally with one another and with those around you, but also in Christ.

The Meaning of Life by Stew BittmanIn this re-broadcast, I explore one of the most important questions we can ever ask ourselves: "What am I making this mean?"
A very special episode this week. To honor and celebrate 4 years of freedom and sobriety from pornography, we're re-releasing episode 1 which documents Frank's 20 year journey of struggling with addiction and how he was able to gain back control of his mind and body and create a Super Human Life. What does it mean to live a Super Human Life and how can ANYONE, no matter what they are dealing with or what they have gone through, take back control of their mind, body, and spirit, to break free from the darkness living inside of them, controlling every waking thought and action. In this first episode of The Super Human Life, I share with you my real-life story of going from high functioning addict for 20 years, to coming face to face with my own demons one day, and ultimately breaking free & shattering every limiting belief I had about myself. I take you on my 15 year quest of personal development, and why creating the life of your dreams is much more than the acquisition of all the knowledge and tools, you must be able to look inside yourself, and not only identify the pieces that are wrong, but surrender to a cause much greater than yourself. This story is sprinkled with transformative moments that have shaped my life, and my hope is that it can do the same for you. -- Connect with Frank and The Super Human Life on Social Media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachfrankrich/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/584284948647477/ Website: http://www.thesuperhumanlifepodcast.com/tshlhome YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjB4UrpxtNO2AFtDURMzoKQ

The BOMBS are the big things that happen that absolutely blow up your life. They happened in the past and they will keep happening... it's impossible to predict.Literally, it's as if you were walking down a sidewalk and a bomb went off just a few feet away from you.The shock wave leaves you reeling - "Wait a minute, this is not what I was expecting. My life was not supposed to turn out like this. This was never supposed to happen."Bombs can be things like Prince Charming saying he doesn't love you any more or turning on you because his expectations of you are so huge.Or it can be Prince charming passing away, leaving you behind because of death. It can be when your child passes away. That's a huge bomb.Or when your child has some sort of illness, physical illness, a mental illness that requires all of you to be there with them or to be affected by them.Things like menopause or retirement or bankruptcy can also be BOMBS.After the shock wears off...you have to decide what you do - who you will be now.The loss of the dream life can cause you to lose who you are. And really the word 'loss' is a keyword here. We fall into this place, as Tony Robbins describes, of "loss, less than and never will have again". In this week's podcast, we talk about the decisions you have to make and how to stop letting your brain threaten to keep you trapped in the fallout of whatever BOMB has happened or is happening in your life right now.The good news? There's a way to come out the other side feeling as if you still have a future worth walking toward. Courage. It just takes courage.____________________________________________________Hey Beautiful Warrior! No matter what life throws at you...what age or stage you're in, the most important thing is to remember who you are. When you know how you see the world and how you want to be in it, you will have the courage to get through anything. Make this YOUR time for a Life Re-Design - hit the Reset Button. Get to know yourself again so that you can move on stronger than ever. Embrace a dream. Find your joy. Love your life.I'm here to help walk you through the process. www.bernicemcdonald.com

Join us as we continue our current series, The Deeper Life. This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on the destiny which God's has promised. The Bible reveals God to be Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and who ever does not honour Jesus Christ as God, does not honour God. The true promised land is in the presence of God. It is not a geographical location. If we are to experience our promised land, we must work to stay in God's presence. Are you willing to give up what you think is best for what God knows is far better than your best? And the Lord said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there." Deuteronomy 34:4 (ESV)
In my latest podcast, I discuss the limitations we place on ourselves by the way we think. It's important to NOT be your own greatest obstacle to the success you want in your life. Understand that no one has more control over your life than you do!
UnRuley Leadership: Breaking glass ceilings with confidence, grace and style
Hi friend! This week's episode is a special one because it's a re-release of an episode that I recorded and put out last December. For those of you who've been around for a while, who you've been with me in the fall, you may remember that I was doing some podcast episodes back then, even though I didn't have an actual, like what I think of as a formal official podcasts, like this one. It wasn't on apple. It wasn't on Spotify. But I *was* recording episodes and putting them out. I've already brought over a bunch of those episodes, but I hadn't brought this one yet. Because the topic was my "10 lessons from 2021 and dreams for 2022." And in my mind, it didn't seem like it made sense to bring over, you know, that it would be outdated. It was from December. I had all these thoughts about why it didn't make sense to, to bring over to the podcast. And honestly, I felt really vulnerable bringing this episode over to my "real" podcast. Because I get pretty vulnerable in it. And that felt really uncomfortable. And the reason I'm sharing this with you is because I want you to know that, you know, I'm right there with you and having these kinds of impostor thoughts, and then I'm working through the imposter thoughts and the fears of putting myself out there. And the whole reason for this podcast is that I want to show people that it's a lot more common than we think, to have imposter thoughts and to second guess and that, and that it's okay to, to work through them and to push past them and to lean into our own vulnerability. So I wanted to share this episode with you and to share those thoughts and to take my own medicine or walk my talk as it were. And and lean into that discomfort and share something that feels very raw and feels very vulnerable to share. So please enjoy this week's episode. And for those of you who are listening and you're finding value in this and you're enjoying it, or you have ideas for what you'd love me to talk about, please reach out. It truly means the world to me to hear from you to hear that this made a difference, or gave you a new idea, or just helped brighten up your day. xo LizFree community for sensitive professionals to rise together -> themintambition.com/community Ready to advance your career without changing your personality or drowning in an overflowing to-do list? Zephan Moses Blaxberg is living the life he wants on his own terms and now has his first book out called Life Re-Scripted! Connect with Zephan Moses Blaxberg YearofPurpose.com LifeRescriptedBook.com Twitter Zephan's new (and first) book was released in January of 2016. After leaving his full-time job with Apple in pursuit of starting a video production company, Zephan quickly found himself working in the White House (with Secret Service clearance) and with companies fe-ke Netflix, Uber, NFL, NHL and NBA. His video work can be seen in sporting venues nationwide but feeling unfulfilled and striving for a greater purpose, his true story starts with a one way ticket. He taught himself travel hacking and couch surfing to take a few months off from business in 2014 and made it nearly 10,000 miles before deciding to turn back home and share his newfound discoveries with the world. In January 2015, the Year Of Purpose Podcast was born, introducing the millennials to entrepreneurs and thought-provokers from all over the world in hopes of inspiring them to live a life of purpose. Life Re-Scripted analyses life through the lens of a movie-goer and contemplates re-writing the parts of our script that no longer serve us. From Apple “Genius” to purpose-seeking adventurer, he provides real life examples along with quite a few questions to lead anyone closer to the path of their purpose. Did I mention he's only 26? Zephan will be making waves in 2016 and Pat Flynn has interviewed him for the Smart Passive Income show (episode premiering in January). You can check out more about Year of Purpose at www.yearofpurpose.com or grab a preview of Life Re-Scripted at www.liferescriptedbook.com. Matt and I didn't get to have a chat this week due to all of the commotion with the birth of my daughter Ava. Shoot me your questions to Joe@SuperJoePardo.com. Episode 222
