ByteDance just unveiled Seedance 2.5, a new state-of-the-art AI video model with 30-second one-shot generations, as American AI stalls out and Fable 5 stays down. This week on AI For Humans, China is not just catching up in AI, it is pushing the edge. We break down everything Seedance 2.5 can do and why a 30-second single-pass clip is a real leap, then dig into the American slowdown as Fable 5 stays unusable and the rumor mill points to a big delay week. Plus Theo Von's surprisingly intense anti-datacenter rant, OpenAI's claim that China is behind the anti-datacenter conversation, Meta leaking private employee data across the entire company, and Google teaming with A24 on a 75 million dollar AI filmmaking partnership. We close with AI that actually works, including how Gavin used beehiiv's MCP to build a newsletter survey and Kevin's homemade language-learning app. CHINA IS COOKING. AMERICA IS LOADING. Craig Cobb: The Dollar Is Rising, Bitcoin Is Stalling, and Bears Still Have the Edge

Craig Cobb focuses this week on a market many crypto investors overlook: the U.S. Dollar Index. After breaking above major resistance around the 100 level, Craig believes the dollar may be beginning a larger move higher toward 106. Historically, stronger dollar environments have created pressure for equities and other risk assets, leading him to question whether Bitcoin could face another leg lower if the trend continues. On the crypto side, Craig remains cautious. Bitcoin continues struggling below key resistance around $65,000, and while a move above roughly $67,300 could shift the daily trend back to bullish, he believes the probabilities still favor downside for now. Across the broader market, assets like Cardano, Dogecoin, Solana, and XRP remain trapped below important resistance levels, with Tron standing out as one of the few exceptions showing relative strength.Craig's message remains simple: trade the trend, not the narrative. While last week's decline created profitable opportunities for traders, the market is now sitting in what he calls "no man's land." Until clearer trends emerge, he believes patience, risk management, and waiting for high-probability setups remain the best strategy.Check Craig out at:Market Intern: https://marketintern.com/The Grow Me Co: https://www.thegrowmeco.com/Happy Hodling, Everyone. Does Eric Bland Think SLED Is Stalling on Stephen Smith?

Here's what we know. SLED reopened Stephen Smith's case in 2021 because of information found during the Murdaugh murder investigation. In 2023, SLED officially reclassified Stephen's death as a homicide. His body was exhumed. A second autopsy was performed. Those results are sealed. Kenny Kinsey — the prosecution's star forensic witness from the Murdaugh murder trial — is now independently investigating Stephen's death because he believes critical opportunities were missed in 2015. And still — no arrest. No suspect named. No charges.Eric Bland represents Sandy Smith and has a direct line into this investigation. On True Crime Today, he addresses whether SLED is deliberately holding back until the Murdaugh retrial plays out. He explains whether anyone from the prosecution's side has ever spoken to him about the overlap between these cases. And he gives Sandy's perspective on what another year of silence means for a mother who has been fighting since before anyone cared about the Murdaugh name.Bland also addresses the Buster Murdaugh defamation settlement — and whether that legal resolution makes it harder or easier for Sandy to get answers about her son.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Markus Moos, professor at the University of Waterloo's School of Planning, sits down with Adam & Matt to unpack what's driving the divergence, from the rise of 'forever young' districts to the knowledge economy concentrating at the centre and families getting priced out to the edges. Why do certain pockets surge with younger buyers and renters as comparable streets stagnate? Why is Canada still defaulting to 'tall and sprawl' while the rest of the world embraced missing middle long ago? And is the urban core quietly segregating Canadians by generation without anyone noticing? Don't miss this one!

In this episode of The Selling Podcast, Scott and Mike tackle the human tendency to avoid difficult tasks and waste time under the guise of "productivity." Whether it's wandering through a sporting goods store to avoid a tough sales call or spending hours "tweaking" an AI bot, avoidance is a self-defense mechanism that can derail a sales career. The hosts provide four actionable strategies to stop stalling and start generating revenue.Key Episode Highlights:The Avoidance Trap: Why we hide behind emails, social media, and "research" to delay uncomfortable or challenging work.Anticipation vs. Reality: Mike shares a lesson from his father: the anticipation of a task (like doing dishes or mowing the lawn) is always worse than the actual event. Once you start, it's rarely as bad as you feared.Hard Work vs. Challenging Work: A mindset shift. While roofing in 115°F heat is "hard," sales is "challenging and complicated"—a distinction that makes the work feel more manageable.Four Ways to Cut the Time Wasting1. Front-Load the Uncomfortable"Eat the broccoli" first thing in the morning. By tackling the most daunting, urgent, or unpleasant tasks (like compliance paperwork or cold calls) at the start of your day, you clear your mental queue and set a productive tone for the remaining hours.2. Apply the Revenue Generation FilterAsk yourself: "Is what I am doing right now contributing to revenue?" * Delegate: Can someone else do this?Batch: Group meaningless administrative tasks together and knock them out all at once.Drop: If it doesn't add value or drive revenue, stop doing it.3. Time-Box Your DistractionsYou will never eliminate distractions, so manage them.Utilize "Dead Time": Use your commute for mandatory training audio or hands-free messaging.Schedule Routine Tasks: Set a specific 30-minute block for non-critical emails rather than letting them interrupt your high-value work throughout the day.4. Track and Measure AccomplishmentsFocus on objective numbers. When performance is measured, it improves. Highlighting your daily wins—no matter how small—builds the momentum needed to tackle larger goals.
