It was October when I took the Norwegian Airlines flight to Stockholm. It made me think for a few seconds while in flight that I may be going to Oslo instead.Staying in Stockholm's Old Town is a great area to be. You can just spend your day walking around.Coffee shops, Pubs, Historical Buildings, and blocks of ice high up on buildings. The latter you have to be aware of, although there are Ice Managment Staff monitoring and removing any signs of falling ice blocks.Take a walk to Abba's museum and reminisce about the great music of the 70's and 80's. Staying at the Victory Hotel was excellent and made me think about Admiral Lord Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar, and why I would see this in Stockholm.I sailed through the Stockholm Archipelago which was just spectacular and was honored to be ask to speak from the Cruise Ship's Bridge as we navigated the area.Great memories. Also, thanks to Feedspot for putting the Travel Addict Podcast high in the MIdlife Travel categoryhttps://podcasts.feedspot.com/midlife_travel_podcasts/  http://www.malcolmteasdale.com

There were many posts about this.In a move of historical significance, EL AL Israel Airlines and Etihad launch a frequent flyer partnership.TripStax, a TMC technology supplier, adds Jyrney to their offering. In South American aviation news it is reported that LATAM Airlines is also interested in buying Viva, Colombia's third largest airline.Clive Wratten writes about some strong comments made by Steve Heapy of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays where he talks about the airline industry being the "whipping boy" in the sustainability row.Norwegian Airlines invests heavily in their frequent flyer program in order to - what he suspects - grow their corporate business.

Economia - Fechamento de duas aéreas francesas evidencia desafios de low cost intercontinentais

Economia

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 25, 2019 6:27

“Eles passaram a acumular déficits.

Welcome back to ZorkCast, the podcast that is all about helping you travel smarter, gamble smarter, and maximize your adventures. Today’s episode is divided into two parts because I just got so caught up reminiscing about all my travel experiences that I went off on a tangent. However, this is part one and we are in the beautiful Athens, Greece. This show is being broadcasted from out on the terrace and I’m sharing with you on how TWA led me to stories about my ultimate travel hack. I'm calling it my TWA travel NOT hacking, TWA optimization story. Keep listening to find out more and make sure you come back tomorrow for Part ll. Key Points From This Episode: • Recalling some of my best travel memories with TWA (Trans World Airlines) • My dislike for the words “travel hacking” • Why we call it fare deals and not mistake fares. • Ticketing issues with fare deals. • Competition amongst low-cost and ultra low-cost air travel carriers. • Saving by traveling with minimal baggage. • Finding those sweet spots and using them to benefit yourself. Tweetables: “It’s probably best to refer to everything as a fare deal.” — @travelzork [0:04:24.0] “If you’re willing to fly economy class with minimal bags it’s a great time to be traveling.” — @travelzork [0:05:33.0] “The concept that I want to leave you with is that there will always be sweet spots.” — @travelzork [0:06:27.0] Links Mentioned in Today’s Episode: Airline “Mistake fares?” | How do I find them? — https://travelzork.com/airline-mistake-fares-how-to-find/ Norwegian to London | 99 Bucks, a Backpack, and a Dreamliner — https://travelzork.com/norwegian-london-99-bucks-backpack-dreamliner/ TravelZork — https://travelzork.com/ ZorkCast on Facebook — facebook.com/travelzork ZorkCast on Twitter — https://twitter.com/TravelZork ZorkCast on Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/travelzork/ Trans World Airlines — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_World_Airlines WOW Airline — https://wowair.com/ Norwegian Airlines — https://www.norwegian.com/us/

Topics This week we are joined by our awesome #travelsquad member Kendra. Renee and Kim sit back drink wine while Kendra shares her travel experiences. One of which includes a 15-hour flight from hell. . .  followed by the fear of a forest abduction. . .  and ends with an epic elephant swim! Whew, I need a drink! Are you afflicted with wanderlust? Kim thinks she was born this way. Renee feels that she grew into it. Our guest chats about how she came down with a recent bout of wanderlust resulting in an upcoming trip to India. Note: there was some wine involved and a drunk call to Kim. . . Could wine be a wanderlust trigger? Further research is needed. POUR! Kendra also talks to us about how she manages her wanderlust while being part of a dynamic-duo (yup, she has a hubby). Wine Break Speaking of wine, Kim and Kendra enjoy a delightful Fume Blanc from Grgich Hills Estate which is one of our favorites! Renee sips on her favorite grocery store Moscato from Jacob's Creek. We reminisce about that one time when Renee got her hand slapped for trying to help herself during a tasting at Cakebread Cellars during our Napa, California jaunt. Carry-On What is in your carry-on? Our guest suggests ear-plugs as a low-tech solution to help you catch some z's while traveling. Renee shares info on a low-cost carrier airline Norwegian Airlines.
