www.kelloggsfc.com AD FREE and Exclusive episodes: https://www.patreon.com/c/Footballforkids In this episode of the Football For Kids Podcast, Darren Rees tells the inspiring story of Antoine Semenyo – the Bournemouth goal-scoring machine and Ghana international. Born in Chelsea in the year 2000, Semenyo's journey has been anything but easy. From kicking a ball in the park with his dad, facing rejection after rejection at clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, and even nearly giving up football completely… to finally breaking through with Bristol City, battling through tough loan spells in non-league and the lower leagues, and then becoming a multi-million pound Premier League player with AFC Bournemouth. We'll hear how Semenyo grew up watching the Africa Cup of Nations on TV with his family, dreaming of heroes like Didier Drogba and Asamoah Gyan – and how that dream came true when he went on to wear the Ghana shirt himself at international level. But this episode doesn't stop at the goals and glory. We also talk about the serious issue of racism in football. On 15 August 2025, Semenyo was racially abused while playing at Anfield. We explain why this is so wrong, why racism has no place in football or anywhere, and how kids can learn to always choose kindness, bravery, and respect.

See you at the bungalow, Captain!Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.Ahead of the Premier League starting back up again, Jamie Carragher joined the team to talk about his predictions for the season. With Leeds being promoted into the league, and Liverpool reigning champions, Chris and Dom had quite a few questions for him!Harriet Kemsley was the latest comedian to come on the show and share her advice for Dom, whose performance at the Rode Comedy Festival grows worryingly closer by the week. She told Dom that one of the best ways to prepare for a comedy gig is to write material. This may sound obvious, but then again this is Dom we're talking about.Instead of ‘who are you?', this week we asked our mystery guest ‘what are you doing?'. Quite cruelly, Dom was the only one in the studio who didn't know, which made for some fun (awkward) listening. Also this week, we were introduced to Captain's girlfriend, who turned out to be a little bit older than we were expecting… Plus, Dom explained how he stays cool at home with the help of a woman named Janine!Oh, you're still reading? Erm… ok… here's some other stuff that's in the podcast this week:Chris' farts have movedDom is confronted about his weather forecasting skillsNecker Island is off the cardsEnjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio XWeekdays 6:30am - 10am

Nottingham Forest look set to spend around £100m on new signings and maybe more as they close in on a series of transfers. Arnaud Kalimuendo is set to join from Rennes for £26m, James McAtee from Manchester City for £30m and Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for £37.5m. Sky Sports have also reported that Forest are in talks with Juventus over Douglas Luiz. Meanwhile, Reds manager Nuno Espirito Santo has told Sky he is 'very worried' about where Forest are after a summer where plans didn't come together at the speed he wanted in unusually forthright comments to the media. On top of that, Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to sign a new contract according to Daniel Taylor of the Athletic and Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports and then there is the small matter of the opening Premier League game of the season Sunday against Brentford. Matt Davies is joined by Michael Temple in part one to discuss the transfer news, Nuno's comments and Hudson-Odoi's deal. Then in part two he is joined by Emily Anderson (10 minutes later) former Reds midfielder Lewis McGugan to preview the Brentford game and discuss Kalimuendo and McAtee. #NFFC #nottinghamforest
When Robbie Earle left Port Vale for Wimbledon in 1991, he knew he was joining a cast of characters. John Fashanu, Vinnie Jones, Jason Euelle, Andy Clarke, Efan Ekoku and many more major personalities came together to make the ‘90s Dons one of the more charismatic sides in Premier League history. They welcomed Earle to the crew as only they could: By stripping him naked during a team run through a public park and leaving him with just a traffic cone “to cover the most embarrassing bits.”He quickly accepted the price of initiation into the Crazy Gang and enjoyed a nine-year stint in the English top flight with the Dons. He made 244 appearances and scored 59 goals from midfield. Nowadays, you can find him on your TV here in the States pretty much every weekend. That includes this one, because the Premier League kicks off later today on NBC Sports and Peacock.Robbie first came by The Football Weekend ahead of a spring 2024 title clash between Manchester City and Arsenal, and he returned to preview Championship Sunday later that season. 15.08.2025 pt 1 On our final Friday show before a major format change, Gareth and Ben delivered a whirlwind of sports, politics, and jaw-dropping oddities. They kicked off with news that Fridays will soon be longer and packed with live guests, before diving into Ben's golf plans and a comical look at Donald Trump's armored “Batmobile” golf cart. The sporting lineup was huge — from the Rugby Championship and MTN8 semi-finals to Premier League kick-off and UFC 319's explosive showdown between Drius and Kamzat. The conversation took stranger turns with an outrageous 1970s tale dubbed tape,” mixing disbelief with dark humour, and a sharp discussion about violent taxi versus e-hailing clashes in Soweto. The hosts also unpacked global politics — from New Zealand's criticism of Israel to the UK's royal gossip — while never straying too far from the banter and audience interaction that keep their community hooked. It was a send-off show that had everything: high-stakes sport, political fire, absurd human behaviour, and street-level South African realities — a perfect snapshot of why the live format keeps our audience coming back.
