Love is something we all want. Divine Love, is something the deepest part of us years for. How do we bridge the two? And, in daily life, can we access Divine Love on a continual basis? "The God Chord” running through each of us—a chord of understanding beyond words, ever present and ever wise, connected to the divine. In a sense, all we have to do is remember and trust in this connection to cultivate the experience of God. A relationship with God is nurtured through both a formal practice of meditation and prayer and our informal awareness and intention to allow for a mystical and ultimately spiritual union with God, moment- to-moment. Humans have an innate capacity to experience and awaken a transcendent experience of God. Our potential to experience the mystical reality of life speaks to the role of Divine Love in the world today: God's presence in our every breath, calling us to awaken, feel, and see with eyes of Christ." - Marc Aronoff Marc Aronoff, MA, LMHC (Author) is a Mystic, psychotherapist, and award-winning playwright. After completing his BA in The Interpretation of Literature at Northwestern University, Marc lived abroad where he wrote for film and theatre and worked as a professional actor, dancer, and choreographer. After a successful summer tour, Sammy Hagar has announced The Best of All Worlds Residency in Las Vegas. The Red Rocker's Van Halen celebration will hit the stage at Dolby Live inside Park MGM next spring. Check out the full list of shows below! Joining Hagar on the Vegas Strip are Michael Anthony, former Van Halen bassist; guitarist Joe Satriani; and renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff. Aronoff steps in after Jason Bonham, who played drums during the summer tour, confirmed he would not be continuing with the group. Aronoff's impressive career includes work with John Mellencamp, Bob Seger, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. Dolby Live at Park MGM will also host Mötley Crüe's Las Vegas residency starting in March. Hagar originally launched The Best of All Worlds Tour on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Anthony, Satriani, and Bonham. The 28-date North American trek celebrated Hagar's Van Halen era with a setlist of iconic hits, rare tracks, and songs from Montrose, Chickenfoot, and the members' solo catalogs. Fans were treated to a high-energy revival of Van Halen's legendary music, making the upcoming Vegas shows a must-see event!
Listen to an interview with the prolific rock and roll drummer, and former Bloomington, Indiana resident Kenny Aronoff. Here in Indiana, Aronoff is best known for his work with John Mellencamp. But his work outside of Mellencamp's band is even more notable. Aranoff has performed with the greatest icons in popular music, including Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen and many others.
Kenneth Aronoff is a drummer for John Mellencamp. He's also part of a documentary, The Untold Stories Of Your Favorite Musicians. He talks about the early days with Mellencamp when he was asked to come up with a drum solo of sorts for a new song, Jack & Diane. When I first heard him say it my mind went into a few different directions. One, being good under pressure. Not everybody is. How can we improve that skill? Two, being good on your feet. That is, being able to figure it out in real-time, with the clock ticking. Again, how can we hon that ability? Three, knowing you're at a pivot point that could (no guarantees) change everything. How can we recognize the importance of this moment? Aronoff had enough of all three to handle this moment. “It's kind of funny...the moments on which life hinges. I think growing up you always imagine your life--your success--depends on your family and how much money they have, where you go to college, what sort of job you can pin down, starting salary...But it doesn't, you know. You wouldn't believe this, but life hinges on a couple of seconds you never see coming. And what you decide in those few seconds determines everything from then on... And you have no idea what you'll do until you're there...” ― Marisha Pessl, Special Topics in Calamity Physics (a novel) Pessl is a novelist who has crafted some great lines. Truthful lines. This is one of favorites. Life often hinges on a couple of seconds we never see coming. More accurately, it hinges on what we do in that moment. In those seconds. And while you have no idea until you're there, all the things we've done up that moment prepare us. I will prepare and some day my chance will come. - Abraham Lincoln That line speaks to our ability and our optimism. The belief that we'll put in the necessary work and in time, we'll get an opportunity. I often wonder if we knew in advance of that moment, would it help us or hurt us? Might we live in constant fear and anxiety if we knew? It may be a blessing that when those moments arrive, we had little or no warning. In the last episode I talked about how special forces train so when the battle erupts, they react wisely (and well) automatically. So much so, they describe their reactions under fire as "it just happens." That's the value of preparation. It's the value of focus, intensity and dedication to constant improvement. It's also the quest to learn what we don't yet know. Ignorance isn't bliss. It can be disastrous when we act based on it. Many dramatic stories prove the point. Mostly, tragedies prove it. Hamlet. Romeo & Juliet. Stories where people lacked knowledge, but took actions based on it. Stories where they had 25 to save themselves, or somebody else...but they got it wrong. Tragedy has visited each of us, partly because of actions taken based on our ignorance. We thought something, but without full knowledge, or understanding, we got it wrong. The result was tragic. Maybe not life and death tragic, but some version of tragic none the less. 25 feet to get it right. Or to get it wrong. I began to consider the journey to those 25 feet, wondering how important those feet are. And how we might influence them. Reminiscing of my 25-foot-moments I tried to remember what led me there. What happened and how did I get it wrong? Did I get it wrong? Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. Please tell a friend about the podcast! • Join our private Facebook group • Email me

Exploring Saint Catherine of Genoa's writings, Marc Aronoff came across a section of her Spiritual Dialogues which felt like a Divine Song of Love. In reading these words, he felt transformed... hearing and reading her words felt utterly delicious and overwhelming; as if the words themselves carried a certain healing message and energetic charge of Love- fornthe World and Humanity... Catherine knew so well: the mystical, supernatural, and mysterious nature of her relationship with God (the Divine, Source, Goddess Higher Power)... and perhaps others may be inspired and transformed toward a feeling of Love also.

Robby has a chat with Staff Software Engineer at Lightstep from ServiceNow, Jacob Aronoff. Their conversation delves into the vital signs of a thriving open source software project. They unpack the characteristics of well-maintained open source endeavors, emphasizing the importance of a passionate community behind the project, rather than misleading indicators like GitHub stars. They discuss the nuances of evaluating a project's health through performance metrics, suggesting that a more holistic view that includes the scrutiny of open issues can provide better insights into the project's robustness and responsiveness to community needs. Furthermore, their discussion highlights a critical, yet often overlooked, aspect of open source software: the project's own dependencies. Jacob argues that understanding these dependencies is crucial before adopting an open source solution, as it could have far-reaching implications on the stability and security of one's own project. They also take a deep dive into the organizational dynamics of the OpenTelemetry community, examining its structured approach to scaling and sustaining the project over time. Their discussion then transitions into the philosophical debate of balancing between the extremes of premature abstraction and delivering a fully opinionated software project. Jacob shares his penchant for “building in the open”, advocating for transparency and community involvement in the development process. He provides valuable advice for both newcomers looking to contribute to open source projects and maintainers seeking to attract new talent. In a personal touch, he extends his gratitude to Robby for creating Oh My Zsh, sharing his own journey in developing a custom theme for it. Moreover, Jacob expresses his preference for pure functional languages, hinting at the broader discussion around programming paradigms and their influence on open source software development. Meet Chef Whitney Aronoff Whitney Aronoff is a Health Supportive Personal Chef in Laguna Beach, California. Passionate about wellness, the vibration of food, and supporting others in living their best life. Chef Whitney attended culinary school at The Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City and went on to work at farm-to-table restaurants in New York and Newport Beach. As a personal chef, she prepares custom meals and dinner parties for her clients and shares her seasonal recipes on Starseed Kitchen. In 2020, Chef Whitney launched a line of organic spice blends, sharing the custom seasonings her family has been enjoying for years. Knowing that a healthy diet is just one layer of being well, in 2021, she launched the podcast High Vibration Living With Chef Whitney Aronoff. She interviews experts on healthy eating, cooking, wellness, beauty, travel, and spirituality to help others find the modalities and tips to help them feel their best. The healthiest meal you can eat is the one you make at home. Chef Whitney aims to invite people into their kitchen, feeling empowered to make healthy choices for themselves and their loved ones and to experience high-vibration living. Starting From Scratch In 2014 Whitney was working as an HR manager for a company in Washington, DC, feeling a total lack of passion and excitement. She describes this experience as losing her spark and deciding to go on a quest to find out what lit her up. In doing this inner work, she rediscovered her inner girl, who loved food, health, well-being, and playing with food. She realized she wanted to attend culinary school and follow her passion for healthy food and cooking. After being let go from her position in HR, which she later saw as a blessing in disguise, Whitney enrolled in the Natural Gourmet Kitchen culinary program in New York City and changed up her entire routine and life by starting from scratch. With a blowup mattress, a few suitcases, and her books, Whitney headed for the Big Apple and immersed herself in culinary school and all things healing and health related to the culinary world. Handling Forks In The Road In starting from scratch to build her new life and business, Whitney shared the wisdom that building something viable and truly serving your niche takes time. After culinary school, Whitney had a fantastic job in New York, working for a well-known restaurant group, learning and enhancing her skills in various areas. Again, she found herself at another fork in the road when her father invited her to return to Southern California, rent-free, and try her own business. Chef Whitney decided to take the opportunity and learned another important lesson; it's ok to change and start new again. From this place of starting, she has built Starseed Kitchen, a successful organic spice blend company, a personal chef business, and a thriving show called The High Vibe Living podcast. Changing Up The Recipe In Life It's not only ok to change up your recipe in life but also to embrace that what you enjoy doing, experiencing, and eating now is probably different than twenty years ago. Our spiritual and inner growth need to allow for greater flow, change, and ease. She is learning now that it's time again to shift her energy and focus and spend more time on her self-care and reassess how she's working and serving others. This is a great reminder for us all to be open to the ebb and flow of life and natural shifts of innate growth and change. The important thing is to trust when it's time to change the recipe, and just like you might head into a kitchen with a variety of ingredients, let yourself play with what feels right and see what your soul comes up with. You never know what this next recipe will bring to your life and others. Whitney Aronoff is a Health Supportive Personal Chef based in Laguna Beach, California. Whitney's mission is to encourage people to fall in love with food in a way that helps them feel better. Her mission is to empower people to cook for themselves using the best ingredients for the body and soul. In this new episode of The Wellness Revolution Podcast, she shares practical tips to have more balanced meals, and educates us on the connection between food and spirituality. Whitney explains that when we pay more attention to what we eat - and how we eat - we give the body more space to process everything it needs to process. Sometimes, the body needs to process a negative experience or a specific trauma from the past, and it simply can't because it is too “occupied” dealing with the types of food we eat daily. And sometimes, we cause this situation: we distract ourselves with food to avoid certain feelings. You will also learn the best practical tips when shopping for your food. Whitney explains that eating foods in season is a good solution for those on a budget. Also, buying organic foods does not always mean getting the best product. It's also important to know how to prepare your food. Whitney shares some best practices on all these topics as well. Tune in to learn more! Emma hosts Kate Aronoff, climate reporter for The New Republic, to discuss her recent pieces regarding environmental social and corporate governing, or ESG. Then, she's joined by Trita Parsi, Executive Vice President at the Quincy Institute, to discuss his recent piece in Foreign Affairs entitled "How China Became a Peacemaker in the Middle East", co-authored with Khalid Eljabri. First, Emma runs through updates on the abortion pill ban, the bailout of Credit Suisse, the rising probability of a recession, smog regulations, a potential freight rail merger, and statistics on COVID's impact on pregnancy deaths, before parsing through Ro Khanna's relationship to Silicon Valley and squaring his progressive positioning with his David Sacks fundraising. Kate Aronoff dives right into the recent GOP push (passing through both the House and Senate) against “Woke” Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) policies, watching Kevin McCarthy attempt to paint these programs as authoritarian mandates forcing retirement funds to invest in a left-wing agenda. Next, Aronoff walks Emma through the relationship of this Right-Wing project to their greater agenda of dismantling the administrative state, before they step back to tackle the actual relationship between ESG and major corporations, like BlackRock and Vanguard, looking at how these policies provide a path for rehabilitation of public opinion alongside copious tax breaks, while executives lobby behind the scenes to ensure that the policy never evolves to actual corporate regulation. Wrapping up, Emma and Kate explore the impact of Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, and the future of environmental incentivization and regulation. Trita Parsi then jumps into the revelatory role of China in brokering a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, completely changing their previous stance on foreign policy, and showing that they must be taken seriously on the international stage when it comes to diplomacy. Next, they tackle the particular failure of the US' multi-decade disaster in the Middle East, setting ourselves up as an inflammatory and biased outside actor that bends over backward for our allies, before they wrap up the interview with an assessment of the US elite's China hawkery and the role it continues to play in the US' refusal to promote Middle Eastern autonomy. And in the Fun Half: Emma is joined by Brandon Sutton and Matt Binder as they tackle the revelations of Ron DeSantis' various policies, from utensils to Ukraine, talk with Adam from Manhattan about the corruption behind our current financial moment, and Matt Lech goes all out on the conservative exploitation of hunger and poverty. Expanding on this, the crew tackles Minnesota State Sen. Steve Brazkowski's denouncement of a school hunger program, and Jason from Minnesota calls in to give his take on the issue. They also discuss Russell Brand's amicable appearance on Tucker Carlson and how it differs from his other relationships with corporate media, plus, your calls and IMs!
