Noel catches up with Chad Fischer, the frontman of Lazlo Bane. In 2002, they released All the Time in The World, which included "I'm No Superman." The song became the theme song for the TV series Scrubs and led to a video directed by Scrubs star Zack Braff. Their debut album, 11 Transistor, included a cover of Men at Work's “Overkill” and featured Colin Hay as a guest vocal. Chad has had a very successful career in movies and television, having scored Zack Braff's movie, Garden State and provided the scores for the TV shows, Private Practice and Scandal.

Love can occasionally present itself in some pretty strange ways....In theatres now, it's time to make an unexpected trip back to this hosts home province and an unexpectedly charming tale of true love.  It's time for 'French Girl'.Gordon (Zack Braff), is a hopeless romantic, finds his proposal plans are thrown into chaos when his girlfriend is swept away to Quebec by a job offer from her ex, a sophisticated celebrity chef. Determined to keep their love alive, Gordon leaves Brooklyn for her hometown, only to find himself hilariously out of his depth in attempting to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family.This one was unexpectedly charming which is likely thanks to the somewhat fresh take that debut writer/directors James A Woods and Nicolas Wright took in telling this story.  It still has all the appropriate emotional moments without overtly leaning too hard into any expected story telling beats from the genre.We had the unique pleasure of sitting down with James and Nicholas in advance of the release to talk about the origins of the story, making Quebec City a character of its own, the distinct nature of Quebecois cinema and so very much more.

More effort doesn't necessarily mean better. There's always a smarter way to work in the arts. Patrick Muldoon grew up in San Pedro, 20 miles south of Hollywood. His father was a lawyer who dreamed of starting the Muldoon & Muldoon Law Firm, but after his first acting class, Patrick knew he would never be a lawyer; he wanted to be an actor. Patrick landed huge parts early in his career; he started in "Days of Our Lives" and "Melrose Place," and he famously got his brains sucked in the cult classic "Starship Troopers." He starred in over 50 productions for film and television, and in 2008, Patrick took his first steps as an Executive Producer. As a producer, he was involved in multiple projects for megastars like Gerrard Butler, Salma Hayek, Martin Sheen, Mena Suvari, and Jeniffer Garner.
