Another week, another win over Motherwell, and St Johnstone are still standing in their battle against relegation. With owner and chairman Adam Webb in attendance, Saints' players, fans and manager enjoyed a moment of connection after their successful late fightback, achieved despite having only one centre-back on the pitch. Join Eric Nicolson and Sean Hamilton as they discuss a potentially huge triumph at McDiarmid Park, assess likely transfer activity and ponder Saints' chances against their 'kryptonite' weekend opponents St Mirren.
Adam Webb is the Owner and Managing Partner of Quazar, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in M&A services. In his role, he helps privately held businesses in the lower-middle market sell or grow through acquisitions. Adam has led deal teams and negotiated favorable outcomes for clients in dozens of transactions with an aggregate value of hundreds of millions of dollars. Before Quazar, he was the Senior Associate of Risk Management at RSM, where he specialized in helping clients perform internal audits and implement internal controls to maintain compliance. In this episode… Most entrepreneurs generating $10-20 million in yearly revenue are so involved in the daily grind of their business that they haven't even considered an exit. When it's time to retire, they often discover their company's value is lower than their targeted range. How can you prepare for an exit while ensuring an ideal sale valuation? With experience securing M&A deals for lower-middle market companies, Adam Webb often has to break the harsh news that most business owners won't walk away with $20 million from their transactions. You must consider transaction expenses and deal structures like escrows, equity rolls, where you retain some ownership in the business, and SBA finance deals, where the seller finances the buyer. These structures take time and understanding, so it's crucial to begin planning your exit at least five years in advance and disclose any outstanding company information to avoid value decreases or deal collapses during due diligence. Tune in to the latest episode of Destination Business Freedom as Pat Mancuso hosts Adam Webb, the Owner and Managing Partner of Quazar, to talk about optimizing your business for an exit. Adam shares how he determines business value during a transaction, the worst transaction he has ever witnessed, and how to reduce M&A taxes.
After a long Saturday for millions of Oasis fans in online queues, the culture secretary says surge pricing will be part of the government's review of the ticket market. Niall speaks to secondary ticketing site Viagogo on this episode. While it wasn't part of dynamic pricing, it has offered resale tickets for thousands of pounds since Saturday. Matt Drew from the company accepts the industry needs a full review while Adam Webb, from the campaign group FanFair Alliance, explains the changes it would like to see. Later, our data and forensics correspondent Tom Cheshire tells Niall about how a rise in online propaganda has helped the Afghan branch of Islamic State become “the greatest external terror threat”. It's been linked to the concert hall attack in Moscow and the plot to disrupt Taylor Swift gigs in Austria. Producers: Soila Apparicio, Emma Rae Woodhouse Editor: Paul Stanworth

Battery metals are what underpin the technologies that underpin the world's energy transition; however, investor capital has been focused on the shiny objects downstream like electric vehicles and solar panels. We believe some of the best growth opportunities can be found in the battery metals sector and at far more reasonable valuations than electric vehicle manufacturers. We've brought together a stellar lineup of management teams, strategists and investors to highlight the compelling opportunities in the sector: copper, lithium, nickel, cobalt, vanadium and more. 2:16 Tracy Shuchart, CEO/Founder & Chief Market Strategist | Hill Tower Resource Advisors 15:27 Mark Selby, CEO & Director | Canada Nickel 30:05 John Ciampaglia, CEO & Senior Managing Partner | Sprott Asset Management 48:29 Christian Easterday, CEO & Managing Director | Hot Chili Ltd 1:05:45 Aurora Davidson, CEO | Amerigo 1:23:51 Mark Brennan, Executive Chairman & Founder | Ascendant Resources 1:35:51 Blake Hylands, CEO | Lithium Ionic 1:51:56 Dale Ginn, CEO & Director | Lithium One 1:58:16 Adam Webb, Product Director | Benchmark Mineral Intelligence 2:12:35 Robert McEwen, Executive Chairman & Chief Owner | McEwen Mining 2:34:57 Closing Notes LEAD PARTNERS: Hill Tower Resource Advisors: https://hilltowerresourceadvisors.com/ Canada Nickel: https://canadanickel.com/ Sprott: https://sprottetfs.com/ Grizzle Research & Quant: https://grizzleresearch.substack.com/ COMPANIES: Canada Nickel: https://canadanickel.com/ Hot Chili: https://www.hotchili.net.au/ Amerigo: https://www.amerigoresources.com/ Ascendant Resources: https://www.ascendantresources.com/ Lithium Ionic: https://lithiumionic.com/ Lithium One: https://www.lithiumonemetals.com/ McEwen Mining: https://mcewenmining.com/ Subscribe to receive Grizzle's free investment research on battery metals: https://grizzleresearch.substack.com/ Follow us on Twitter: @thomasg_grizzle @scottw_grizzle @grizzlemedia #lithum #nickel #copper

Episode 108: in this episode we're joined by Adam Webb, from FanFair Alliance - a UK-based organisation campaigning against industrial-scale online ticket touting- or scalping if you prefer. I chatted to Adam about the state of ticketing in the UK, and what does FA see as the most pertinent issue that needs fixing/changing? He also talks about speculative ticketing is, why he thinks it's harmful, and what should be done, and the difference in approach between artists in the UK and the US when it comes to dynamically priced tickets. Supported by managers and teams for artists including Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran, Biffy Clyro, Pixies, Iron Maiden, George Ezra, PJ Harvey, Niall Horan and many others, FanFair, it says, “has successfully helped change the regulatory and legislative landscape in the UK, leading to the widespread adoption of consumer-friendly practices for ticket resale.” FanFair Alliance: fanfairalliance.org Adam's guest post on dynamic pricing for Music Ally: https://musically.com/2022/03/13/is-dynamic-pricing-containing-the-battle-against-ticket-touting-or-undermining-it-guest-column/ Most shaving cream pies thrown in 30 seconds by a team of 2 Pet Sounds: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mJN3N2XYKY6P2RpKP_-Zk20HwDSewNAYY --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/musically/message

Love And The Weather is a collaborative project based on the coast in Victoria, Australia. A recent review by Louder Than War UK music blog described their sound as follows: “Intense, scorched, desert-like heat. It's a collection that feels like the sun beating down from its apogee at high noon whilst a buzzard circles overhead. It's a cantina located close to the border. It's late night noir, motel room ceiling-fan pointlessly whirring above. Much of that feeling is created by the intimate feel to the songs. As the music unfolds, it feels like it's wrapping itself around you.” Their self-titled debut EP was released in December 2020, available on all streaming services and vinyl release via their bandcamp. Phil Micallef, Englishman in Prague, speaks to a fellow Essex man living in the lovely Czech capital, Russell Adam Webb. Russell discussed the perception the rest of the UK has of us Essex folk, as well as the perception Europeans have of us Brits. In a very frank and funny conversation, Russell gave a fascinating explanation about why he used to vote for the Conservative Party, but decided to stop doing so in last year’s UK General Election. Most importantly though, he explained very clearly and concisely what a greasy spoon is (here on Sweet Home Wherever, we feel it is our duty to educate our international listeners about various cultural customs and traditions from around the world, and a greasy spoon is indeed a prime example of British culture at its finest). This episode is going out the day before Britain leaves the EU and dives headfirst into oblivion. However, this episode showcases two British lads, who despite both coming from a part of England that voted overwhelmingly in favour of Brexit, are very proud to be living in the very centre of Europe and enjoying everything this wonderful continent has to offer. Check out Russell’s Facebook Page, The Prague Geezer, on which he gives plenty of tips and recommendations on things to do in Prague.
