It turned around and disappeared several thousand miles away over the Indian Ocean and has never been found. What happened? Throughout the early decades of the 20th century, a young woman by the name of Amelia Earhart set out to do the impossible. The Wright Brothers had opened up the world to aviation, and Amelia was the one to push herself to the limits, breaking records to establish what we know as air travel today. Amelia spent the better part of her adult life traveling around the globe, documenting the effects of air travel on the human body, plus chartering the capabilities of early aircrafts by cataloging record-breaking altitudes and distances around the globe.On On 2 July 1937, Amelia and her navigator, Fred Noonan, finalized their flight path for the journey of a lifetime. Amelia knew this would be her last trip around the world before decidedly planning to hang her aviator jacket up for good when she was done. But fate had other plans. On 3 July 1937, at 08:43 AM, Amelia made her last radio transmission on her flight progress, and was never heard from again. To this day, scientists do not have a clear understanding of what went wrong or what happened to Amelia and her navigator. Some mysteries are never meant to be solved, But in this case, we have Amelia to thank for traveling the distance in air travel. Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived. Today’s Topic: How can a cheat meal help you lose weight? After that family vacation, which maybe you’ve heard me talking about on the previous episodes, I gained weight – a whopping 4-pound add up to the scale! It was totally worth it! I may have gone off the charts of my diet during those days, but cheat meals – when toned down – can be beneficial to you. Sometimes, you just have to give in for that piece of cake or a slice of pizza once in a week, not just to make you stay sane after abstaining from it for so long, but to also help you lose weight. Yes, this is definitely real and backed by science, which I’m gonna tell more on this episode so hear me out! When you go on a diet, we go carefully on the calories and the macros of our food so our hormone levels and metabolism adjust to make sure our body function properly. Now, cheat meals are okay – very okay to avoid a plateau. Cheat meals with low calories and carbs increase leptin, decreases ghrelin, restores glycogen, and reverses your metabolism. That’s a lot of important info you need to digest. Aside from talking about how it actually works in our body, I’m going to answer questions that fly through your mind right now like how do cheat meals affect us, how long will a cheat meal affect us, and how do we avoid the bad effects of a cheat meal. He talks about his exceptional start in film and discusses his solid history in theatre.Film synopsis - On May 19, 2004, an unprecedented biological outbreak occurred in Lawton, California. A classified N.S.A.A. report detailed the carnage which ensued that night. This film is based on that top-secret report.Norbert Weisser, born in Neu-Isenburg Germany, came to Los Angeles in 1966 and began acting in the LA Experimental theatre scene of the 60s and 70s. He became a founding member of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, the ProVisional Theatre, We Tell Stories and the Padua Hills Playwrights' Festival where he originated the role of Trickster through collaboration with playwright Murray Mednick in the epic seven hour "Coyote Cycle". Some of his roles in theatre include: Rode in Ronald Harwood's "Taking Sides" at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway, Mac Heath in "The Three Penny Opera" and Eddy in "Mary Barnes" at the Odyssey Theatre L.A. (for which he received a Drama Logue Award for: best supporting actor), Decius in "Julius Cesar" at the Matrix Theatre L.A., Fredric in "The Ramp" at the South Coast Repertory Theatre, Vershinin in "The Three Sisters" at the Dallas Theatre Center TX, Neigel in "See Under Love" at the ATJT in San Francisco and most recently Oscar in John O'Keefe's "Times Like These" in San Francisco, Albany, NY and Los Angeles where he received an Ovation Award, an LA Weekly Award and an LA Drama Critics Circle nomination for best actor in a leading role. He directed Mednick's "The Coyote Cycle" in San Francisco at the Magic Theatre and "Heads" at the Los Angeles Marc Taper Forum's New Works Festival.
