Haircuts. Sleep. Celebrity birthdays. A Florida man and a vacuum.Yep... it's another completely normal episode of The Treehouse Show.Dan is back stateside and finally got a professional haircut instead of his usual DIY special, which sparks a debate: Would you ever cut your own hair? Things only get weirder from there as we talk about why falling asleep with the TV on might be ruining your sleep, why Dan somehow keeps crossing paths with America's wandering stomach parasite, and how two celebrity birthdays send us down one of the strangest rabbit holes yet.Forrest Whitaker and Brian Austin Green somehow lead us into John Cusack's best movies, the Jennifer Aniston vs. Angelina Jolie debate, and plenty of pop culture tangents only The Treehouse Show could pull off. Then we wrap things up in the most Florida way imaginable with the unbelievable punishment handed to a man caught having sex with... a vacuum cleaner. If you enjoy hilarious news stories, ridiculous Florida headlines, celebrity discussions, random debates, and comedy podcasts that never stay on track, welcome to The Treehouse Show.In this episode:Would you trust yourself with a DIY haircut? Why sleeping with the TV on may be wrecking your sleepDan vs. the traveling stomach parasiteForrest Whitaker & Brian Austin Green birthdaysJohn Cusack's best moviesJennifer Aniston vs. Angelina JolieThe unbelievable Florida vacuum incidentAnd plenty of off-the-rails conversations along the way.

On today's episode of Great Points, Matt relays a few conversations he overheard in the Barber shop, and his takeaways as a financial planner. While many people spend hours researching purchases, such as a new TV or a new car, fewer take that same amount of time to think about their whole financial picture. What if we all spent that same amount of time thinking about our financial future? In another conversation, Matt observed that the outward signs of someone's finances can be misleading. Fear of Missing Out is hard to resist, but creating your own priorities and avoiding "Keeping up with the Joneses" is a good practice to manage your own healthy money mindset.
Tori Gill was still cutting hair on weekends when she sold her first 20,000 sunscreens. A former hairdresser with two kids, no e-commerce background, and a product that took two years to develop, she launched Sun & Daughter on Boxing Day 2024 and hasn't really stopped since. This is the follow-up episode - and a lot has happened. In this episode, Tori gets real about what scaling from $100K to a million-dollar brand actually looks like from the inside: the stockouts, the 54-hour Facebook ad account lockout, the $20,000 orders she had to back herself on, and the retail decision she's made that could either be her smartest move yet - or, in her own words, "the biggest mistake of my life." What you'll learn in this interview: How a consumer watchdog report on failing sunscreen SPF tests became an unexpected growth moment - and how Tori moved fast enough to capitalise on it Why she packed every order from her spare room for a full year, alongside two kids and two days a week in the barber shop, before finally moving into a warehouse the week before Christmas The exact moment a Choice magazine article turned into a sales spike, and how having your formula independently tested can become your most credible marketing asset How Tori used a trending audio format - kids in hats, waiting for SPF results - to make an ad that outperformed every polished campaign she'd ever run Why she treats her Instagram like a reality TV show, and what that means for how she handles UGC, consistent visuals, and the decision never to post other people's faces on her brand page The average order value lesson she learned from Founder that led her to build out hats, brushes, wet bags, and bundles - and push her AOV from $75 to over $111 Why she skipped Black Friday, never ran a sale in year one, and then sold 1,000 sunscreens in 24 hours the first time she did - and why she hasn't done it since Lessons from adding 5 to 10 new ad creatives every single week, and why she's changed her entire campaign structure three times in 15 months How she uses Instagram Stories polls to let her community choose product colours, hat designs, and packaging - and why it's as much about solving her own indecisiveness as it is about building loyalty What she's learned about going into major retail - the upfront stock commitments, the hidden marketing costs, and why she still doesn't know if it was the right call If you're building a product brand and starting to feel like you're holding multiple plates in the air at once - ads, content, stock, manufacturing, team, retail - this episode is worth your time. Tori doesn't have it all figured out, and she says so. But the way she thinks through each decision, tests before she scales, and keeps backing herself anyway is exactly the kind of thinking that turns a spare-room operation into something real. Griffin Warner talks betting for Thursday. Real_G Warner is back with the June 4 episode of the what I bet podcast on the Straight Outta Vegas AM feed of the pregame.com podcast network, and the card tonight is headlined by Game 2 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, with the Vegas Golden Knights heading back to Raleigh as plus money underdogs after stealing Game 1 on the road, 5-4, erasing a 2-0 deficit and getting a late winner from Tomas Hertl. Vegas is plus 138 in Game 2, Carolina minus 157, and the series price has already flipped all the way to the Golden Knights minus 140 favorites, a swing of roughly 222 percent on the Hurricanes side. Warner has been riding this team throughout the postseason, going five for five on the Knights as underdogs, and he is not stepping off now. Mitch Marner leads the entire 2026 playoffs with 21 points across 16 games, blocking shots in regulation and throwing no-look assists in the same shift, while Jack Eichel leads the postseason in assists with 16 and Ivan Barbashev, the Barbershop himself, has been a physical force at every stage of the run. On the baseball side, Warner runs through eight Thursday matchups, calling the Padres-Phillies game with Lucas Giolito against Zack Wheeler a tough spot for San Diego, skipping the Orioles-Red Sox matchup with Trevor Rogers and Brayan Bello in Boston as a pass with no strong angle, noting the Guardians plus 145 in the Bronx against Carlos Rodon and Slade Cecconi is a respectful number but a difficult structural spot for a small-ball club, passing on the Giants at Milwaukee with Adrian Houser against Coleman Crow while lamenting the state of the San Francisco front office, waiting on Seth Lugo and the Royals in Minnesota before committing to a side, leaning Astros at minus 105 with Kai-Wei Teng over Jared Jones in just his second start back from internal brace surgery, and watching the Dodgers price on Justin Wrobleski at Arizona against Ryne Nelson with Arizona plus 120 looking interesting. The best bet of the episode is Oakland Athletics plus 112 on the road at the Chicago Cubs, with J.T. Ginn carrying a 2.87 ERA and five straight quality starts into a matchup against Shota Imanaga, who has allowed eight home runs in his last three outings, and if the Wrigley wind blows out, Warner likes this number even more. The show is three and two over its last five episodes. Use promo code WIN20 at pregame.com to save 20 dollars on anything on the site, including seven-day all-access to your favorite pro handicapper, dropping the price from 119 to 79 through June 15. The foolishness continues
Hugo reconnects with an old friend — Josh "CBJ" McKenzie, master barber and owner of The Craft Salon Suite in Grand Prairie, Texas. They hadn't seen each other in over a decade, but some conversations pick right back up like no time passed at all.Josh traces his journey from a kid secretly practicing fades on his little brother with a pair of broken clippers from his grandmother's closet, to becoming a barber who's cut the hair of professional athletes and built a space where other creative barbers can thrive. He talks about what it means to see art in a haircut, how drawing black-and-white portraits as a child taught him everything he needed to know about a fade, and why the barbershop has always been more than just a place to get a cut — it's a community. But the heart of this episode is what Josh kept quiet for a long time: his battle with kidney disease, the months he spent on dialysis while still running his business, and the moment God told him don't worry about it — and he chose to listen. His kidney transplant didn't just give him his health back. It gave him a new perspective, a louder purpose, and the courage to finally share his story so someone else could be inspired by it.This one's about faith, resilience, and what happens when you stop trying to figure it all out and just trust the process.Don't lose faith. Lose fear.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sol-meets-heart--3691166/support.

Andrew had a truly disgusting experience while walking his dog yesterday, and it might have changed his entire worldview. But probably not. Meanwhile, Luke got to see the inside workings of a truly successful podcast yesterday, and it's making him question his own life decisions. And they discuss the Nebraska bar that can't call itself "The Barbershop" anymore because of a very annoying (and disingenuous) business association.
