Mistletoe Murders - Hallmark+ Premiere Date: October 31st First Impression: We're thrilled to see Sarah Drew in a Hallmark series based on an Audible original podcast. This one has a mix of murder mystery and holiday cheer. While the Halloween-Christmas crossover feels a bit odd, we're excited to give it a shot! 2. Holidazed - Hallmark+ Premiere Date: November 14th First Impression: Six families, one cul de sac, and eight episodes. This series has a killer cast and is definitely on our watchlist. We think it will be a fan favorite given its intriguing premise and ensemble cast. Movie Lineup 1. Twas the Date Before Christmas Starring: Robert Buckley, Amy Groening Premiere Date: October 18th First Impression: We love the fake dating trope and are big fans of both Robert Buckley and Amy Groening. This movie is high on our list for its fun and festive storyline. 2. Holiday Crashers Starring: Lindsey Fonseca, Daniella Monet, Chris McNally, Jag Ball Premiere Date: October 19th First Impression: Best friends crashing holiday parties? Sign us up! The card shop setting feels like quintessential Hallmark. This movie has the potential for fun and hilarity. 3. Scouting for Christmas Starring: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Carlo Marks, Marci T. House Premiere Date: October 20th First Impression: This feels like a traditional Hallmark movie, which isn't a bad thing. We're excited to see Tamera Mowry-Housley back on Hallmark. 4. This Time, Each Year Starring: Alison Sweeney, Niall Matter Directed by: Crystal Lowe Premiere Date: October 24th First Impression: This movie intrigues us because of its co-parenting storyline. We appreciate realistic portrayals of family dynamics around the holidays. 5. Operation Nutcracker Starring: Ashley Newbrough, Christopher Russell Premiere Date: October 25th First Impression: We adore the lead actors, but the concept feels a bit recycled. Curious to see how this one fares. 6. The Christmas Charade Starring: Rachel Skarsten, Corey Sevier Premiere Date: October 26th First Impression: We love Rachel Skarsten and the idea of a librarian caught in an FBI operation. This sounds like a fun and thrilling holiday movie. 7. The Five-Year Christmas Party Starring: Katie Findlay, Jordan Fisher Premiere Date: October 27th First Impression: High school theater rivals reuniting during Christmas? With Katie and Jordan in the lead roles, we're anticipating a charming and heartfelt movie. 8. My Sweet Austrian Holiday (formerly The Secret Chocolatier) Starring: Brittany Bristow, Will Kemp Premiere Date: October 31st First Impression: While the plot doesn't particularly excite us, the cast ensures we'll be tuning in. We're hoping for a European holiday charm! 9. A Carol for Two Starring: Ginna Claire Mason, Jordan Litz Premiere Date: November 1st

Happy Wednesday Heal Squad! Welcome back for part 2 of my conversation with ‘Victorious' Actress Daniella Monet. In today's episode, Daniella shares her journey of transitioning from the entertainment industry to becoming a passionate advocate for holistic health and wellness. Reminiscing about her tight-knit Nickelodeon cast, Daniella reflects on the positive energy and talent that defined her early acting career. Daniella also shares who from the ‘Victorious' cast she still keeps in contact with, as well as her thoughts on the industry as a whole, and the documentary about Nickelodeon, ‘Quiet on Set'. Amidst the highs of her acting success, Monet also opens up about the moments where she sometimes felt the tension of what was going on behind the scenes and the internal struggles one might face when wanting to keep working despite the sometimes concerning power dynamics. Daniella's wellness journey, which began over a decade ago, has empowered her to share her invaluable knowledge and passions through her wellness community "Daniella's Digest." Throughout our conversation, her insights offer a refreshingly candid and inspiring look at her path from the spotlight to self-care - from the importance of intuition to the "cathedral effect" on our thoughts. As Daniella gets back into acting, stay tuned to hear about some exciting projects she has coming up. Healers and Heal-Liners The cathedral effect: We think bigger when we're outside or in a “cathedral”. We're constantly being inundated with information and sometimes it just deters us off of what regulates us. There's so much to be done in the wellness space, and also so little that we actually need. How does the youngest ever TEDx speaker keep up with the demands of changing the world? When Genesis recently met one of her all-time favorite animal ally, earth defender and musician who has stayed true to herself throughout all these years global pop star Billie Eilish, she expressed how Billie has shown her the importance of continuing to speak up for animals and the planet even if it seems people don't care, because eventually, they start to listen! Genesis has spoken in front of thousands around the globe, campaigned with groups worldwide, and has worked with dozens of nonprofits to promote a plant based diet, including Farm Sanctuary, Humane Society of the United States, and Mercy for Animals. She was the face of the 2019 Million Dollar Vegan campaign, where she met with an international coalition of scientists, environmental activists, and politicians to discuss the role diet change can play in fighting global warming. Recently, she partnered with Pollution Studios to create a series Genesis Butler Takes Action whereby she interviews thought-leaders and celebrities, such as actresses Daniella Monet, Mena Suvari and Harley Quinn Smith, about their vegan journey. Just back from DC speaking on stage in front of over a thousand people at the AVA Summit, (Animal & Vegan Advocacy) let's hear what's upcoming and how Genesis plans to tackle food systems change to support the healing of our planet.

This week, Jason is joined by actress and singer turned entrepreneur, investor, and food and lifestyle advocate Daniella Monet! Many may know Daniella from her television and movie performances over the last 20 years, including Victorious, Zoey 101, and Nancy Drew, but after years of appearing on television screens, she has gone on to pivot from acting to focus on the development of her nutritional business and investments. She has been exercising her entrepreneurial spirit by paving the way for vegan companies to make a mark on the industry. Daniella gives insight to why she doesn't have an agent, how money was a topic of conversation while growing up, why she made the decision to be a vegan, how she decides to make her investments, and how she started her app Daniella's Digest. Daniella also reveals how many different side hustles she has had and which was the most profitable, her secret to memorizing lines, why she chose to get her GED equivalent to give herself more opportunities in the entertainment space, and what she would invest in right now if given a million dollars. Do films or television shows pay better? What should consumers know when deciding to go vegetarian or vegan? What was the worst investment she ever made? What is next for Daniella? PLUS, Jason chats with listener Shawnna about the world of copywriting. Shawnna breaks down what a day in the life of a copywriter can look like, the different education paths that can be taken, what the income looks like, and how she went on to double her income in less than six months by starting her own business. What exactly is copywriting? What is her best advice when it comes to taking a leap of faith? All of that is revealed and so much more in another episode you can't afford to miss! Coffee, comedy, positivity and kindness! These are a few of the things I love the most! Today on the show, I'll be talking with two people that are super pros when it comes to coffee, acting, comedy and being kind, compassionate people. Daniella Monet is an actress best known for her work on the Nickelodeon show “Victorious” where she played the hilarious role of Trina Vega! Daniella has been in various other great tv shows and movies and is seriously talented when it comes to physical comedy and improv, throwing herself into each role with passion and enthusiasm! She is also an animal lover, fitness fanatic, vegan foodie, entrepreneur, Mom to adorable Gio James, and the fiancée of our other great guest today Andrew Gardner. Andrew Gardner is the founder of “Drew Coffee”, Dad to Gio James and an all-around nice guy!! I was able to get in on the first batch of “Drew Coffee” that came out and I can tell you – as an official coffee snob, that it's fantastic!! It's smooth, not bitter and has great flavor. When you open the great, clean white package, the awesome aroma of the delicious coffee hits your nose and it's exciting!! Together, Daniella and Andrew host their great podcast called “Adulting like a Mother Father” where they talk about parenting, relationships, and they have guests on the show too! In this interview, we chat about Daniella's time on "Victorious", her great improv skills, and how being a Mom has changed her life. I ask her about her business endeavors like "Kinder Beauty Box", "Sugar Taco" and "Sprouted." Her fiancé, Andrew Gardner is the owner/founder of "Drew Coffee" so I had the chance to ask him about how his love for coffee started, what it takes to make the perfect espresso and what his future plans are for his company. These two are expecting a baby girl any day now, so we talked a bit about parenting and how they are feeling about adding this new addtion to their family soon! It was truly an honor to have these two on the show! They seem to be very kind-hearted, down to earth people. I hope you enjoy this interview! Adulting Like a Mother Father Co-Hosts Daniella Monet and Andrew Gardner join me on the show today! You may recognize Daniella Monet from her days as a former Nickelodeon star including a main role on the show, “Victorious” alongside Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice, and others. The show ended up winning the Nickelodeon Kids Choice awards twice and was also nominated for 4 Emmys. While many young stars find themselves spiraling down a dark path after experiencing fame, Daniella, fortunately, wasn't one of them. She has created a new path for herself that includes entrepreneurship, motherhood and co-hosting the popular Adulting Like a Mother Father podcast with her fiance, Andrew Gardner, which I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest on. You are going to want to go to check it out. Andrew has a story of his own, which we will dive more into during the show. But, just to give you some context, he is a former CPA turned entrepreneur and coffee guru. He took that leap of faith and left the business world to pursue his dreams of making a difference in the world through being a father and starting a company of his own, Drew Coffee. Drew Coffee is a single batch sustainably roasting company that was recently released a few weeks ago that Andrew considers his “second baby” (PS they have another human on the way). Andrew and I have developed a friendship over these last few months and actually had the chance to grab a coffee with him last time I was in LA. If you are having a hard time making decisions to get to the place where you want to be, and you're always comparing your status to other people's lives, then you must listen to this episode. Daniella and Andrew will make us realize that knowing what you really want, loving what you do, and being happy for other people's achievements will give us genuine happiness and contentment. Topics we discussed: How Daniella and Andrew met each other Daniella's story about what she missed out when she was in and out of school at the age of 13 How working full time in the entertainment industry at the age of 15 affected Daniella's mental health Why Daniella thinks many young stars spiral downward What are the things Daniella does to lift herself up and how she pivoted out of acting Andrew's backstory from college to being an entrepreneur How Daniella and Andrew started their podcast Andrew's story about his decision to stop drinking Comparison trap, and how they dealt with it Other things that shifted Daniella's energy into continuing her own journey Daniella's explanation about what plant-based means How Andrew and Daniella deal with COVID Meditations they both do What's next for Andrew Gardner and Daniella Monet? Adulting Like a Mother Father The focus is to ask questions that get people thinking about what they can do themselves versus looking for validation, what they can do to move forward, and whatever they've been dealing with in their lives, how do they succeed in adulting. Drew Coffee They use an air roasting process, which is a lot cleaner for the environment. It's ethically sustainably sourced from smallholder producers who own less than 25 acres. So these aren't these massive farms and their farming practices are typically done in organic fashion, they may not have the certs just because of the cost and paperwork factor. But the work is still done that way. Takeaways: In the entertainment industry, where a lot of people are very self centric, you have to be super mindful of who you're hanging out with, and whether they have your best interests at heart at the end of the day. The important thing is to never close yourself off to other opportunities. “I'm more happy with my family, my kid, focusing on our businesses, focusing on fitness, coffee, specifically. They fill me up. They make me feel way better than a drink does. And so for me, at this point in my life, it's enough for me to say, I don't really need it because there's plenty else out there for me.” -Andrew Gardner It's not always easy. But that (applauding others for their success) is the only way you're gonna get what you want in life. There's no other way around it. If you think about your time ending at some point, and where you're at right now, if it's not where you want to be, you've got to do the things to get where you want to be in that short amount of time, because it's ending at some point. “I'm really grateful for angry vegans who remind us everyday of what's happening to animals, who never let us slack or get too comfortable. There's room for all types of activism.” On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, the one and only Evanna Lynch is back. Evanna Lynch is an Irish actress and vegan activist who rose to fame while playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films. Since we last spoke in 2017, Evanna was on the 27th season of Dancing With The Stars, she started the vegan beauty company Kinder Beauty Box, and is about to launch season 3 of her popular podcast the ChickPeeps Podcast. We talk about why she went vegan years ago, when and why she decided to use her platform to speak out about veganism, why she decided to go on Dancing With The Stars and what she learned from it, why she started Kinder Beauty Box with fellow actress Daniella Monet, what we should be aware of about the skincare products we use, how she handles hate and negativity, why angry vegans are important, why solving human rights issues and animal rights issues can happen in tandem, the exploding vegan scene in London, and why sometimes she wishes she could disappear and work as a waitress. Evanna is someone who deliberately uses her massive platform and talents to promote compassion, and I have massive respect for that.Show NotesEvanna's InstagramEvanna's FacebookThe ChickPeeps PodcastKinder Beauty BoxEvanna + Robbie Episode

She's worked in Hollywood since the age of nine and is most well known for roles on hit TV shows like “Victorious”, “iCarly", "The Bernie Mac Show", "Listen Up!", and most recently "Paradise Run". She's become a significant player in new media with her Facebook Watch show "D Takes Your V Card", which exposes guests to vegan food and shares ideas and resources for an animal product and cruelty-free lifestyle. Daniella works with a fantastic roster of ethical and cruelty-free brands and shares her knowledge and experiences with her massive social media following. But, her goals in life go way beyond acting and her media presence. She's the ultimate entrepreneur and willing to try her hand in anything she's curious about. She owned her first property at 17, became a landlord at 18, has her real estate license, is an angel investor, rides motorcycles, and so much more...she is well aware of her one life and embodies the idea of "carpe diem" every day. Listen and learn from this young, but old soul and you'll be inspired to start trying new things - whether it's a vegan sandwich or something you never thought you'd do!
