In a thrilling announcement that has fans of both franchises buzzing, Paramount Pictures has confirmed the upcoming crossover movie featuring G.I. Joe and the Transformers. This iconic union, hinted at in last summer's "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts," is set to bring together these two legendary Hasbro brands in a cinematic spectacle. The exciting venture will be executive produced by none other than Steven Spielberg, a nod to the seriousness with which the studio is treating this ambitious project. While the film currently has no director attached, the concept was originally developed by Steven Caple Jr. during the making of "Rise of the Beasts." Lorenzo di Bonaventura, a name synonymous with the Transformers franchise, will return to produce the film alongside Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto, and Don Murphy. This powerhouse team has been integral in shaping the Transformers universe and are now poised to do the same with this crossover. Brian Robbins, CEO of Paramount Pictures, announced during CinemaCon this morning that di Bonaventura's production deal at the Melrose Lot has been renewed, ensuring that the veteran producer will continue to bring his expertise to this and other exciting projects. This crossover draws on a rich history, dating back to the 1980s when G.I. Joe and the Transformers shared storylines in Marvel comics, creating epic narratives that fans still reminisce about. This film aims to capture that nostalgia while introducing these characters to a new generation of viewers. As anticipation builds, fans eagerly await more details about the film's plot, cast, and eventual release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking cinematic event.

Hey everyone, here we go again... the latest Transformers film - Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - has now hit theaters in my local market and to say I was skeptical would be an understatement. I've grown up owning a LARGE amount of Transformers toys and enjoying some of the early material but these movies really burned me by Age of Extinction and The Last Knight. I'm a fan of Steven Caple Jr's work from Creed II so I was really pulling for him to make the first great MAINLINE Transformers movie (I REALLY liked Bumblebee). So, is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts another bad entry in this long-running franchise or have they finally figured out how to make this iconic toy line work on the big screen? Find out in this SPOILER-FREE review. Michigan's AutoTalk Episode 68: "Ford's Raptor R, Pinewood Derby Cars, and a Big Daddy Don Garlits Tale"In this episode, executive producer Phil Tower and co-hosts Al Schwinkendorf and Joh Puhek bring you three important auto-related news and history storiesFirst off, we have news from Ford Trucks...the announcement that the 2023 model year brings the all-new F-150® Raptor R™, Ford's most potent F-150 Raptor ever, with a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 that cranks out 700 horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque...a truck Ford says is built for extreme off-roading adventuresNext up, we reminisce about the legendary Boy Scouts originated Pinewood derby races that will be 70 years old in 2023. Interestingly enough, the first pinewood derby was held on May 15, 1953, in Manhattan Beach, California by Cub Scout Pack 280C. The pinewood derby concept was created by the Pack's Cubmaster, Don Murphy. Since Mr. Murphy's son was too young to participate in the popular Soap Box Derby races, he came up with the idea of racing miniature wood cars. The rest as we know is full of pinewood derby race stories told for decades! Finally, Al has news of a historically significant event in the life of now 90-year-old drag Racing legend, Big Daddy Don Garlits. Garlits is known across the world as the Godfather of drag racing. Garlits perfected the rear-engine Top Fuel dragster, an innovation motivated by the loss of part of his foot in a dragster accident...a much safer design since it put most of the fuel processing and rotating parts of the dragster behind the driver. Garlits was also the first drag racer to officially surpass the 170, 180, 200, 240, 250, and 270 mile-per-hour marks in the quarter mile; he was also the first to top 200 mph in the 1⁄8 mi. To put it simply, he was a man built for speed.Online:https://garlits.com/Ford Raptor R:https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2022/07/18/700-horsepower-new-ford-f-150-raptor-r.htmlOfficial Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby car Kit:https://www.scoutshop.org/official-pinewood-derby-car-kit-17006.htmlLike us on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/MichigansAutoTalkPodcastMichigan's AutoTalk podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Google Podcasts, Amazon Audio, Spreaker.com, Deezer, and Podcatcher.Oh, and if you'd like our podcast, please leave a review!

We continue our journey of catching up on movies released in 2018 by driving down to 1987's California for a look at the Transformers spinoff film, "Bumblebee". With Disney buying 20 Century Fox, a new rumour has emerged confirming that all Marvel films in development at Fox will be cancelled going forward. Is this a good idea of not? After the major disappointment that was "Transformers: The Last Knight", it seemed as though all hope was lost for this Cybertronian franchise. However, with well defined characters, well shot action scenes, and some nostalgic storytelling, it seems the little Volkswagon Beetle that could has brought new life into this franchise. Warwick Schiller helps thousands of people around the world with their horses through his training videos, active Facebook group, and clinics. Warwick has a special talent of communicating with people, most often with perfectly clever analogies, so that they can better understand the principles behind his lessons. He is also an accomplished reining trainer, and will, again, be representing Australia in the 2018 World Equestrian Games. In this episode, Warwick talks to us about the principles of horsemanship, the importance of mindfulness when working with or showing our horses, and the benefit of building the horse-human relationship. Key Takeaways: Put your hand down: let your horse make a mistake so you can find the real problems, and the right solutions Making mistakes is how you learn. Practice and perfect the basics, before moving on. When you have a problem, look to the beginning and fix the basics. Mindfulness and being in the moment, without expectations, is critical.
