The Edgar Cayce information on meditation, prayer and affirmations has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals around the world. To be sure, Cayce was one of the first sources in the Western Hemisphere to consistently recommend meditation to individuals from every religious background. The Cayce readings on prayer advance the ecumenical nature of prayer and discuss the workings and vibrations of this integral tool for personal attunement and spiritual healing. In terms of affirmations, the Cayce material frequently extols the extraordinary power of the “mind as the builder” and the premise that personal co-creation is empowered by that which the mind dwells upon. In other words, what one continues to think, one eventually becomes. With all of this in mind, it is perhaps ironic that this extremely invaluable wealth of information grew out of personal failure on the part of Edgar Cayce. In this episode I read the affirmations and prayers of Edgar Cayce. You can listen to this like a meditation, let it play in the background, meditate with it and recite these out loud. 

“The dead differ from the living only in this respect: they are in a permanently subconscious state because the conscious mind of the physical body no longer exists. But the body is an expendable shell, and all else is intact. On the astral level of existence, the subconscious mind replaces the conscious mind of the soul, and the superconscious replaces the subconscious.” Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet spoke often of speaking to the dead in dreams. I have had this happen with my father, but I found the Cayce material to be rich with new information on this subject. A point often stressed in the Cayce readings is that contact with the dead has as its first purpose a transformation and quickening of the dreamer. Here I discuss what Cayce taught about this and offer a short meditation to help you communicate with those who have passed on.

Cayce's perspective on thoughts was not merely that they are transient mental processes but that they are potent, living entities in their own right. He suggested that every thought we have is a real thing, a kind of energy, which not only affects us internally but also has the potential to influence the world around us. But what exactly are thoughts? In Cayce's view, thoughts are much more than just products of our brain activity. They are expressions of our deepest selves, encompassing our hopes, fears, aspirations, and even our unseen spiritual qualities. This means that our thoughts are not isolated; they are connected to every aspect of our being. "As a Man Thinketh in His Heart, So Is He" This famous line, which echoes throughout Cayce's readings, encapsulates his view on the creative power of thought. It suggests that our deepest, most consistent thoughts shape who we are, not just metaphorically but in a very literal sense. If a person constantly harbors negative thoughts, their life and health may reflect that negativity. Conversely, positive, constructive thinking can lead to a life filled with positivity and growth.

Edgar Cayce was one of the most remarkable and mysterious men of the twentieth century. Sometimes called “the Sleeping Prophet” or “the Miracle Man of Virginia Beach,” he was stuck with taglines that more often than not reflected the sensationalistic side of his work rather than its real depth and meaning. At the core, Cayce was a Christian mystic philosopher and an intuitive healer. For the forty-three years of his adult life, he taught by delivering discourses, or by giving “readings” while in a prayer-induced trance, which were transcribed by a secretary or family member because he could recall nothing once the twenty- to forty-five-minute sessions were over. The Edgar Cayce readings repeatedly emphasized the importance of meditation as an integral ingredient for personal transformation. As much as we identify with planet Earth and our terrestrial life here, Edgar Cayce's reading of the Akashic Records and the Universal Consciousness tells a different story. From Cayce's perspective, we were, are, and will be again celestial beings, traversing the vast expanse of space. Our primal mission is to know ourselves and our Creator. Cayce often began readings for individuals by identifying their planetary and stellar influences, explaining that these were influences because of the soul's journeys through those dimensions. Before and after incarnating into this world and physical life, the soul experiences dimensions beyond the earth plane. Edgar Cayce (/ˈkeɪsiː/; 18 March 1877 – 3 January 1945) was an American clairvoyant who claimed, uniquely, to channel his own higher self.  During these sessions, Cayce would answer questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, dreams, the afterlife, past-life, nutrition, Atlantis and future events. Cayce,  believed that it was his subconscious mind exploring the dream realm, where he believed minds were timelessly connected. Cayce founded a nonprofit organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment, to store and facilitate the study of his channelings, as well as run a hospital. A biographer gave him the nickname The Sleeping Prophet. Some consider him the true founder and a principal source of the most characteristic beliefs of the New Age movement.  Until September 1923, his readings were not systematically recorded or preserved. However, an article published in the Birmingham Post-Herald on October 10, 1922, quotes Cayce as saying that he had given 8,056 readings as of that date and it is known that he gave approximately 13,000–14,000 readings after that date. A total of 14,306 are available at the A.R.E. Cayce headquarters in Virginia Beach and on an online, member-only section along with background information, correspondence, and follow-up documentation. Other abilities that have been attributed to Cayce include astral projection, prophesying, mediumship, viewing the Akashic records or "Book of Life", and seeing auras. What did Edgar Cayce have to say about the power of imagination and visualization. Edgar Cayce (/ˈkeɪsiː/; 18 March 1877 – 3 January 1945) was an American clairvoyant who claimed, uniquely, to channel his own higher self.  During these sessions, Cayce would answer questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, dreams, the afterlife, past-life, nutrition, Atlantis and future events. Cayce,  believed that it was his subconscious mind exploring the dream realm, where he believed minds were timelessly connected. Cayce founded a nonprofit organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment, to store and facilitate the study of his channelings, as well as run a hospital. A biographer gave him the nickname The Sleeping Prophet. Some consider him the true founder and a principal source of the most characteristic beliefs of the New Age movement.  Until September 1923, his readings were not systematically recorded or preserved. However, an article published in the Birmingham Post-Herald on October 10, 1922, quotes Cayce as saying that he had given 8,056 readings as of that date and it is known that he gave approximately 13,000–14,000 readings after that date. A total of 14,306 are available at the A.R.E. I have dedicated several podcasts to the law of one as well as Edgar Cayce.  Edgar Cayce known as the sleeping prophet was able to access what he called the hall of records or the akashic record, a place in which everything that ever happened on earth is recorded. The Law of One, also known as the The Ra Material, is a series of five philosophical monographs published between 1982 and 1998 by Schiffer Books. The books purportedly were authored by a non-human intelligence named Ra through the process of channeling, in which Don Elkins acted as the questioner, Jim McCarty as the scribe and Carla L. Rueckert as the channel for Ra.[1] The 5 book series presents both commentary and full transcripts of the dialogue between the questioner and Ra, who is described as an entity composed of an entire civilization of extraterrestrial beings that are fused into one unified consciousness. I was shocked after further research that Cayce repeatedly referred to the law of one.  In particular he referred to the children of the law of one who opposed the children of Belial.  Cayce mentions the law of one more than 2000 times in his readings from the Akashic Record.   In the law of one Ra states that they originally tried to teach the law of one in Egypt but left after their teachings were distorted. The books purportedly were authored by a non-human intelligence named Ra through the process of channeling, in which Don Elkins acted as the questioner, Jim McCarty as the scribe and Carla L. In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic records is a compendium of all universal events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future in terms of all entities and life forms, not just human. They are believed by theosophists to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the mental plane. It is believed all thoughts, words, intent etc. generates its own unique "frequency or vibration" which is stored in the Akashic Records  When you hear the term Akashic Records, what comes to mind? When I first heard it, my first thought was of a giant filing cabinet of information. Some people think of the Akashic Records as a library, or a book. Some think of it as a database. Those who champion the truth of the Akashic Records assert that they were accessed by ancient people of various cultures, including the Indians, Moors, Tibetans, Bönpo and other peoples of the Himalaya, Egyptians, Persians, Chaldeans, Greeks, Chinese, Hebrews, Christians, Druids and Mayans. It is held that the ancient Indian sages of the Himalayas knew that each soul, jiva, atma, or entity recorded every moment of its existence in a "book", and that if one attuned oneself properly then one could access that book (refer mindstream for example). Nostradamus claimed to have gained access to the Akasha, using methods derived from the Greek oracles, Christian and Sufi mysticism, and the Kabbalah.
