Doesn't look like the crossovers everyone else is making. Acceleration was nice but not staggering.  The adapter to plug in your domestic plug lives under teh floor in the boot. He loved the regen paddles behind the wheel, the cliky buttons, the style of the interior is like driving an Apple Store. And he has a fight with the motorizes charging flap.   Jonny Smith - likes the 3 metres wheelbase, more than a Range Rover. Loves the flat floor, no rear wiper because the aero pushes the water off, 800v, the augmented HUD, said he's strugling to find fault with it. The 155mph top speed not a problem. Worth watching just to see what he powers from the car.   WhatCar? - likes the twin screens, the charge to 80% in 18 minutes, their version of Nissan's e-Pedal is the i-Pedal.   nextmove - loves the pixel lights, self-presentign door handles, he showed the internal plug socket which the UK ones didn't, he showed off the key which had buttons for forward and back. aka Tesla Summon. But he charges it on IONITY, charging at 223kW at 50%!   HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 THRASHES COMPETITORS AT CHARGING "Unlike the previous artificial example, this time we can take a look at charging results of Hyundai Ioniq 5 from 10% to 80% State of Charge (SOC) in South Korea on April 20, 2021, at an outside temperature of 19°C and the battery temperature of 15°C (initial, we guess)." says InsideEVs: "The charging curve is quite complex, with multiple sharp increases and decreases along the way. It starts at about 115 kW at 10% SOC, at 14-15% SOC it increases to about 187 kW, and then again to 220 kW at 29-30% SOC. The peak range is quite wide: between 30 to 51%. The peak value of more than 225 kW appears to be reached around 51% SOC, but then power quickly decreases (maybe due to too high temperature of the battery cells) to "just" 120 kW at 52-54%. Once the temperature stabilizes (we guess), the charging power increased once again to 170 kW. Following several trial runs, the first proper quarter-mile sprint took only 8.94 seconds at 155.1 mph (249.7 km/h)." writes Motor1.com: "When a company's CEO says a 0 to 60 mph run in 2.33 seconds is "quite bad," you know that car is going to be an absolute rocket. Their Q1 production and delviery numbres confirmed they delviered 184,800 and producer over 180,000 vehicles from Jan to Mar. Model S and MOdel X absence. No sign of the presenation of Elon Musk promised within a week, that was in January. New retooled version 2 (3-5-20) get it now! This particular morning it was around 8.40 am so it was dark, your typical Northern Winter morning Feb/Mar 2018. He was driving along the road as normal, keeping an eye out for Deer or any animal that would dash out in front of the car. We live quite close to this area and we have both heard strange noises ourselves at night from something we can not identify to be honest. As my Husband was making his way down the road he was astonished to see what he would later describe to me when he got home later as a “Bigfoot” type ‘Creature’ He said he passed ‘It’ driving quite quickly, so he couldn’t give me any real in depth details about facial features or anything, When I pushed him for a description he just said ‘It was a large hairy Bigfoot type Creature on the edge of the forest and I saw ‘It’ as ‘It’ was picked out by the lights from the car. I didn’t really know what to say so we both just left it at that and I looked for somewhere I could report this too.Less than a month later, My Husband has had another sighting on the way to Killhope this morning. He was driving the same route he drove last time, and as he got closer to Killhope, quite close to the same place as the last time he saw the ‘creature’ again, but this time the Bigfoot was further out from the trees and more towards the road, standing on the dirt track more in the open. Today was a bright sunny day even though we still had snow on the ground, perfect spring weather, so my husband said ‘It’ was stood out much closer than before and he got a better look at ‘It’, he was just startled to see ‘It; there again not really doing anything to hide itself, just standing out in the open like that.  We made a trek across the Ben Franklin Bridge to the University City area of Philadelphia were we made a visit to Dr. Matthew Farber of The University of the Sciences Philadelphia. What's unique about this school is that they a brewing course. Not only that, but his students have discovered a new yeast strain which sours beer without the introduction of bacteria into the brewing process. After a bit of a delay due to Maggie and I catching an unfortunate bout of the flu, we finally managed to record the last leg of our February/March 2018 Aruba Trip Report. So let’s get started with wrapping things up!   We just concluded Saturday (March 3rd) when we last left off, so this episode will be all about our last full day in Aruba, which was Sunday (March 4th) and departure day after that (Monday, March 5th).   For our last day, we decided to hang out in Eagle beach on the morning. There’s always that feeling of melancholy for the final day of vacation and that day was no exception. Also, looking back on it, we were already feeling lethargic as the first sign of the flu although we weren’t aware that we were sick at that time. We left Eagle to grab something to eat at a BBQ and pizza place then headed over to Arashi beach to spend the rest of the day and watch the sunset. Usually, Arashi beach is peaceful on Sundays but it was unexpectedly packed that afternoon. There were big groups of families all over the beach doing BBQs and generally having a lot of fun. The day did wind down perfectly as we witnessed a gorgeous sunset. As far as we’re concerned, it’s the perfect way to signify the end of a vacation.   Dinner that night was spent at The Lazy Turtle, which we’ve tried for the first time. They had African-inspired cuisine that was just fantastic. Verdict: we definitely recommend it.   The next day is departure day. Instead of spending the morning at the beach like we always do in our trips, we opted to skip out because we were both feeling kind of sluggish (again, due to the flu that we were unaware of). We had breakfast at Bugaloe’s for a nice final view of the shimmering water. After that, we just finished the preparations to head to the flight back home and made it here safe and sound.   Some takeaways from the trip are the amazing new friends we made at the One Happy Podcast Meet-up over at Barney’s and the 4 new restaurants that we ate at for the first time: Kalin, Pickles, Delicious, and Lazy Turtle.   All in all it was a great trip and we have zero regrets. Time for the 4th part of our February/March 2018 Aruba Trip and I am here with Maggie recording down in the island right now to report the events that happened from Thursday (March 1st) to Saturday (March 3rd).   Last time, we left off on Wednesday evening after going through the highest of highs to the lowest of lows all in one day. So we figured that we should put that behind us and go for a fresh start on Thursday by unwinding and relaxing all day in Eagle beach. It was a very long, satisfying, and perfect beach day with perfect weather conditions which we spent from morning until just before 7 in the evening. Our late dinner was spent at Kalin’s, the Mexican restaurant that we ate at just a few days ago. Since they are open until very late at night, it really is perfect for people like who us who are looking for a good fallback meal.   Friday was yet another beach day but this time in Palm Beach. The definite highlight of this day was the dinner at Delicious, the new restaurant near Palm Beach (where Diana’s Pancakes used to be). They literally just opened this week so they don’t even have a menu yet but the chef, who is the daughter from the family that runs Papiamento Restaurant, served us with surprise meals that were amazingly well-prepared and beautifully presented. She is passionate about her food and hearing her personally explain the dishes after the dinner was such a worthwhile experience.   The next day, we headed over to Arashi beach which hands down had the best water conditions out of all the beaches we went to this entire trip so far. Later on we met up with David and Brenda Cohen, who I interviewed in One Happy Podcast (episode 48) a couple of years back. We visited them in their own Aruban house and had such a great time. We also went to another Aruba Ray comedy show that evening and as always, they were phenomenal. Just a reminder that these shows do sell-out nightly so if you’re planning to come to one, make sure to book your tickets in advance on arubacomedy.com   So that wraps up our Saturday and we woke up the next day feeling a little under the weather. Hopefully, we won’t end up having the flu while down here in Aruba. We truly wish to finish our vacation in the best way possible.
