What happens when spiritual warfare enters our daily lives and we don't even recognize it? Former Air Force special operations intelligence officer Sam Sterett pulls back the curtain on the unseen battles affecting men, marriages, and families in this eye-opening conversation."Nine times out of ten, most men don't realize they're exactly where the devil wants them to be," Sterett reveals, speaking from years of military experience and spiritual growth. His insights expose how pornography, thrill-seeking, and even the constant distraction of digital devices create entry points for spiritual attacks that slowly erode our relationships with God and family. The discussion takes an unexpected turn when the guests examine how modern technology has compromised our spiritual disciplines, such as our cell phones and the access they can provide to allow things in that are not holy. This conversation doesn't shy away from practical realities: how military culture often sidelines faith, how PTSD requires both professional and spiritual healing approaches, and why the simplest prayer—"Jesus help me"—might be the most powerful one you can pray. What truly sets this episode apart is its practical roadmap for spiritual growth: dive into Scripture daily, find a truth-speaking church community, and commit to a small group where authentic relationships flourish. For veterans struggling with faith questions or anyone battling unseen forces in their daily life, Stewart offers this challenge: "Are we getting closer to God or further away? What are we worshiping?"Ready to recognize the battlefield of your mind and develop spiritual disciplines that actually work? This conversation provides both the wake-up call and the hope you've been searching for.For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com

Dr. Micah Killion is a trumpeter who has devoted the past several years to better understanding what constitutes effective practice and learning. Formerly a member of the Air Force Band, he has also been an arts administrator. In addition to his performing and research, he has also been involved in helping underprivileged populations through the power of music, his latest effort including a journey to Nepal. Currently he is the coordinator for the Center for Music Learning's new "Musical Lives Initiative."We begin the conversation with Micah talking about his doctoral thesis research, where he studied the practice routines of six high-level trumpet players: Chris Coletti, Louis Hanslick, Justin Emmerich, Amy McCabe, Billy Hunter, and Gareth Flowers. His research aimed to identify commonalities in their practice approaches. We then talk in-depth about several practice concepts discussed on his website: "Give it a rest", "Interleave it", and "Get motivated."In Part 2, to get Micah's feedback, I gave him an example of how I practiced when I was in college, which led us to more practice talk, and "what's your target." We wrap up the interview with Micah talking about his three week visit to Nepal, and how he used music and the trumpet to work with youth experiencing homelessness.Would you like more inspirational stories, suggestions, insights, and a place to continue the conversations with other listeners? “The lack of response I've gotten by the FDA and the CDC leads me to believe that those agencies are captured. They should be doing this job. They should be out there surveying all the funeral homes and the embalmers around the world and trying to find out if this is a COVID problem. Is this a COVID vaccine problem? What's causing these things? You can't deny they exist, because here they are.”In this episode, I sit down with Thomas Haviland, a retired Air Force engineer and data analyst. After being fired from the military for refusing to take the COVID-19 genetic vaccine, he noticed that embalmers and funeral homes were speaking out about large, abnormal blood clots.“We should stop injections immediately, until Big Pharma can prove that these things really are safe, because the information I've gathered in this survey, I think, puts that greatly into question,” says Mr. Haviland. He conducted two worldwide surveys of hundreds of embalmers.“We got 179 responses to that first survey. Of those, 119 of the embalmers responding were seeing these strange white fibrous clots. Almost exactly 66 percent, two-thirds of the embalmers responding to that first survey said they were seeing these white fibrous clots ... They were seeing them in up to an average of 30 percent of their corpses, with some of the embalmers seeing them in up to 50 percent,” says Mr. Haviland.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Are we living in the most dangerous year in history? Or was that 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis? According to former Air Force Intelligence Officer Brian J. Morra, the answer is neither -- rather, it was 1983. Brian makes this case, outlining how the United States and the Soviet Union narrowly avoided nuclear catastrophe, after months of tensions, tough rhetoric, and a tragic shoot-down of a Korean civilian airliner. Burn Bag host A'ndre chats with Brian about these events, dramatized in his new book, The Able Archers, based on Brian's own experiences working on intelligence issues during this time period. Brian shares why the Soviets believed that the United States was willing to launch a first strike under the Presidency of Ronald Reagan, whose tough rhetoric against the Kremlin led to heightened paranoia in the mind of dying Soviet Leader Yuri Andropov. This paranoia came to a head in September, when a lone Soviet officer prevented a nuclear war scare after a series of false alarms, and in November, when a NATO exercise caused the Soviets to bolster their nuclear posturing in fears that the United States was actually about to launch a first strike. Many of these events came to light decades after 1983, but Brian shares these stories and more in this fascinating episode. You can purchase Brian's book,The Able Archers, here.

A CEO with PTSD. That encapsulates the world of this week's Team Never Quit guest, Brian Reese. Here's a military veteran entrepreneur serving other military veterans – over 15,000 vets needing a vast array of help – mental, disability ratings, compensation, and more. Brian, Marcus, and Morgan get “in the weeds' as it relates to maximizing many forms of help for the veteran through his program, VA Claims Insider. Listen in to Brian's vulnerable revelations of his personal challenges, and his ability to overcome and create a company whose prime directive is to teach and serve others. It's okay not to be okay… In this episode you will hear: I'm sort of an amateur singer/songwriter. A lot of vets have never filed a claim because they think “I'm not that disabled. Others have it worse, so I don't deserve these benefits.” That's complete bullsh*t. There's a mental barrier we have about getting help. One of the core values of the Air Force is “service before self”. That doesn't mean service at the expense of self. If you can' take care of anybody else, then you're no good to the mission. It takes less than 5 minutes to get yourself enrolled in VA health care. Get a medical diagnosis of your condition ASAP. First and foremost: Get yourself in VA health care, get a primary care provider, and get your stuff medically diagnosed in a medical record. We're trying to meet the military veteran before they even take off the uniform, then serve them at every point of life. If I were king for a day, I would completely gut and overhaul the VA disability system. I'd take the word disability out of it. I would call Elon Musk, and ask him to come help me solve our problems. Government organizations are not built for radical innovation. It's never too late to take advantage of everything veterans have worked for. The VA disability process & the VA benefits process is never over unless you quit.

James will discuss the challenges and successes that she encountered as Secretary, as well as in other roles, including professional staff member in the US House of Representatives and Assistant Secretary of Defense.
