Katrina Kostic Samen, Jeremy Bates and Mike Barnes join Guy Ruddle to examine the findings of Savills What Workers survey: what do the views of 11,000 office workers across Europe tell us about how developers, landlords and companies need to plan and design offices to cater for workers’ changing wants, and thereby deter them from changing jobs and also attract new employees? What Workers Want covers everything from workers’ preferred commute times and whether they want to work in a conventional office or co-working space, to how important factors like standing desks, breakout areas, gyms, and the smell and colour of the office, are in the office.

On today's podcast we take a look at the impact some of the news of the past week might affect comings and goings for the Jets. Even though we are not yet in the busy part of the offseason, we have seen some significant developments over the last few days.Of course, a report broke early in the week that the Jets are likely to hire Jeremy Bates as their new offensive coordinator. The Jets still have not confirmed the hire, but it seems like we have already seen the impact. The team made another tweak on the coaching staff this week by firing offensive line coach Steve Marshall. The move might have been related to performance, but it might have been related to scheme. There are rumors about the Jets bringing in a new offensive line coach to help install Bates' blocking scheme. On today's show we discuss these developments. We also discuss a few players who might be impacted by recent developments. One offensive lineman might be less likely to be around next year as the result of a scheme switch. Meanwhile Robby Anderson's suddenly uncertain status makes it more likely one wide receiver will be back. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The Jets decided to make another coordinator change last week, firing John Morton. A preliminary report suggests quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates is likely to replace Morton in 2018.This is the third time Todd Bowles has changed a coordinator. Two offensive coordinators have been let go in his tenure, Chan Gailey and Morton, along with one special teams coordinator, Bobby April. The one coordinator who has stayed through the entire Bowles tenure is Kacy Rodgers. Rodgers has helped Bowles run his defense to the chagrin of many fans. Rodgers' presence suggests Bowles wants to keep an active hand in the defense the Jets run. The head coach's fingerprints have on a lot of what the Jets have done schematically over the last three years even if Rodgers has the title of coordinator. On today's podcast we look at whether Bowles would be better-served taking a step back from running his unit as many successful head coaches do or whether he is right to play an active role as many successful head coaches also do. The Jets have not yet made an official announcement on their new offensive coordinator, but a report came out Monday suggesting it will be quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Jets are expected to promote Bates, who joined Todd Bowles' staff a year ago, to replace John Morton.Today's podcast is focused on the move. Is it a good move? What does it mean?I think the optics of the entire search left something to be desired, but optics aren't everything. This will ultimately come down to how effectively Bates can do the job, and there are some reasons for optimism on that front. We also will talk about the type of scheme Bates will install. Jeremy Bates beat Andre Agassi, John McEnroe and Boris Becker during his career, but he's never experienced anything like the ten days of Wimbledon in 1992. In an in-depth chat with David Law, Bates describes the trance he was in after missing out on match point for a place in the Wimbledon quarterfinals, the circus that followed, and why Andy Murray's tennis will benefit from him being married. Bates also talks about tennis today, and expresses his view about who will win the French Open. "Djokovic all the way." See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
The final podcast of 2012 sees David and Catherine chatting for half an hour with Andrew Castle, Jeremy Bates and Thomas Enqvist - inside the locker room at the Royal Albert Hall, home of the Statoil Masters Tennis. What does Andrew Castle remember about the day he put up a sign which read 'say no to the poll tax' during a final against Bates? Who do we all think will win the Australian Open? And which player from outside the Top 4 will be the next to win a Grand Slam title? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
