These are trying times. According to the Kogi prophecy, we are collectively moving through 13 years they call the great cleanse. The Kogi's say that the great ending will fall into the beginning in 2026.  In this episode renowned spiritual teacher and vision keeper, Grandmother Jyoti shares remarkable stories that help us understand the wisdom within these prophecies and the power of walking in prayer and points to the necessity of stepping into alignment with our authenticity as this is a time of reckoning with our personal truth.  Jyoti was one of the founders of the Center for Sacred Studies (http://thecenterforsacredstudies.org/ (thecenterforsacredstudies.org)) - and was also the founding member and convener of the Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.  Jyoti considers herself to be a vision keeper and a seed keeper, which she talks more about. And she shares that after the council of 13 grandmothers took on a life of its own, she received a new vision, a new seed that has led her to launching a project called the Fountain (www.thefountain.earth) and its mission is to restore an economic model that is based on reciprocity and collaboration guided by Nature and the Sacred.  Jyoti is founder of the Center for Sacred Studies (http://thecenterforsacredstudies.org/ (thecenterforsacredstudies.org)) She is the founder for The Fountain (https://thefountain.earth/ (https://thefountain.earth)) It's mission is to restore an economic model that is based on reciprocity and collaboration guided by Nature and the Sacred. The drama tells the story of Anthony Bryan who came to the UK from Jamaica with his mother at the age of 8. Gaylene Gould reviews. Joanna Briscoe made her name with Mothers and Other Lovers and Sleep With Me which was adapted by Andrew Davies for ITV. Her new novel is Seduction and is the story of an artist who is hounded by her estranged mother, has a difficult relationship with her own teenage daughter and goes into therapy – falling madly in love with her female therapist. The death of the artist Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, known as Christo has been announced. Working with his wife Jeanne-Claude, the pair were known for their monumental public works which involved wrapping architectural creation such as the Reichstag - the German Parliament in Berlin, the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, and New York’s Central Park. Hello, this is Mystic Babylon Open Mike Poetry Podcast recording from near the Haight in San Francisco. Today we have only one poet besides me, but we have a special treat today. We have Judith Barnett who works at the Beat Museum in the North Beach area of San Francisco near City Lights Bookstore where the Beats came from. The URL of the Beat Museum is: http://www.thebeatmuseum.org . I met her at the open mikes that they hold there regularly. I have one proverb to state as we approach the end of this intro that I hope you consider worthy. Why do we fight battles in Iraq where more people die, when we could fight battles on Cancer right in the U.S. where fewer people would die? As you might notice in Judith’s poetry she talks about her fight with Cancer. Let’s hope that she wins. I remember reading a book when I was about ten years old about cancer called “Death Be Not Proud”, by John Gunther. I recommend it. Judith has a book coming out hopefully in February. It is called “Critics and Other Lovers”. Please by it if you can. You will probably be able to buy it through the Beat Museum.
