On this episode we break down the new Epstein files dump and why Bill Clinton comes out looking the worst, from nearly naked hot-tub photos with an unidentified woman to vacation shots with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in the UK, Brunei, Thailand, Morocco and beyond, plus cozy dinners with Mick Jagger and even Michael Jackson while the DOJ hides behind heavy redactions and an incomplete “document dump” that's already being called a violation of the Epstein Transparency Act. We talk about Clinton's team insisting this isn't about him, the aide calling it “his reckoning,” the light touch on Trump in the files, and what this all says about who gets protected. Then we dive into the brutal Nick Reiner case: his schizophrenia diagnosis, new meds that allegedly left him “out of his head,” the explosive fight with Rob Reiner at Conan O'Brien's holiday party where guests wanted to call 911 and Conan shut it down, Rob telling friends he was “petrified” of his own son, and how Nick ends up charged with murdering both parents while preparing a not-guilty plea. From there we hit a slate of stories including the disturbing details around “Pulp Fiction” actor Peter Greene's bloody apartment death, the viral breakdown of how Kevin McCallister's legendary $19.83 “Home Alone” grocery run would cost around $70 in 2025, the ugly MAGA media civil war with Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro and Nick Fuentes tearing into each other, the internet dragging people for wearing fur-hood parkas wrong, and Pantone's new “Cloud Dancer” Color of the Year that somehow manages to make the whole world sad beige.#BillClinton#EpsteinFiles#NickReinerGet more AoA and become a member to get exclusive access to perks:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOfx0OFE-uMTmJXGPpP7elQ/joinGet Erin C's book here: https://amzn.to/3ITDoO7Get Merch here - https://bit.ly/AnthonyMerchSubscribe to the Anthony On Air Podcast here:Facebook - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirFBYouTube - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirYTApple Podcast - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirAppleSpotify - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirSpotTwitter - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirTwitterInstagram - https://bit.ly/AntOnAirInstaTikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@anthonyonairpodDiscord - https://discord.gg/78V469aV22Get more at https://www.AnthonyOnAir.com.
PETER GREENE - THE PASSING OF A TITAN
It's that time of year again—when we gather by the fire, sip something warm, and queue up… movies that *technically* take place at Christmas. This week, we're unwrapping two not-quite-but-definitely-set-during-the-holidays classics: Stanley Kubrick's eerie yuletide odyssey Eyes Wide Shut (1999) and Steven Spielberg's breezy cat-and-mouse charmer Catch Me If You Can (2002). While neither film is exactly “festive,” both use the holiday season to cast their stories in a glow equal parts melancholic and mischievous. Before diving into our gift-wrap-adjacent double feature, our Blue Plate Special is packed with plenty of cinematic goodies waiting under the tree. We break down the eyebrow-raising possibility of Warner Bros. being sold to either Netflix or Paramount/Skydance—and what such a shake-up could mean for the future of the film industry. We also share our thoughts on several recent releases we've caught (Sentimental Value, The History of Sound, Jay Kelly, and Pavements), react to Quentin Tarantino's recent comments about Paul Dano and 21st-century cinema, relive our theatrical experience seeing Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, and pay tribute to the recent losses of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Jim Ward, Jeff Garcia, Peter Greene, and the legendary Rob Reiner. As always, please like, subscribe, rate, and review us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and wherever else you listen! Got thoughts or questions? Email us at huffmanbrothersproductions@gmail.com.

Brim, Mr. Greer and Kim Adragna are back at it again. Apart from all the usual shenanigans, the gang chats about everything in pop culture with all the trimmings including Jose Feliciano butchering a Sting song... in front of him, and John Cena's final match - that nobody actually saw. The crew also chats about Brim's new song, 'Ollie the Unused Ornament', a plane landing on a car on the I95, and discussions about 'private jet' life. The cast talks about Brim's new Golden Gelt Latte, Greer's new sports podcast, why there are doors on the NYC tunnels and how Lottery winners are prone to having bad things happening to them. They talk about Ikea offering jobs in Roblox, question when burger prices got so outrageous, and how the new Knives Out wasn't too great. The crew also discusses the passing of Peter Greene and the unfortunate unaliving of Rob Reiner. The crew chats about entertainment news, opinions and other cool stuff and things. Part 1:We talk with Mark Joseph Stern, from Slate.comWe discuss the Laken Riley Bill, an anti-immigration bill that has a huge impact on how immigrants will be treated. It provides for indefinite detention and deportation for people who may be legally in the country, for no reason than that someone has accused them of some illegal action. Its applies to minors. It allows local police and local judges to make decisions that should be made on a national level. It can bring about travel bans against whole countries because of suspicions about one individual who may be departed back to his/her home country, despite that country not accepting that.Part 2:We talk with Peter Greene, who writes for Forbes. We discuss how religion has been taken over by the state. This is true in Louisiana, where religious statements are mandated by the state in public schools. Specifically, the state's version of the ten commandments must be posted in public schools, including pictures of Mike Johnson and Moses, as equivalent authorities. This takeover of religion, and subsuming it into the politics has destroyed the previously observed of the separation of church and state. No other religions besides evangelical christianity is represented. WNHNFM.ORG productionMusic: David Rovics, "Time to Act", for Will Von Sproson

Send us a textKatie and Bridget go to the Coco Bongo Club as they re-watch a very nostalgic movie: The Mask! Come along to Edge City (DON'T WORRY THIS MOVIE IS RATED PG!) where we meet Stanley Ipkiss, a grown man with stable income, a loving dog, and nice housing who is considered a "loser" because he "can't get a date"... Yup, what a loser! When he finds a mask floating in the city's toxic river he puts it on only to then transform into a chaotic cartoon character of a horny man. You thought that was crazy? Don't worry, we've also got the mob in this PG movie! Led by gangster Dorian who's out to rob banks, murder people, and possibly blow up his girlfriend Tina as well as his club (?). When Stanley's shenanigans get him wrapped up in all things felonies, it's up to The Mask (and arguably his dog Milo - who deserves a Dog-Oscar/Doscar) to save the day! Will Stanley be able to avoid jail time and get to make out with Tina? Is he also Cuban Pete, the king of the Rumba Beat!? Where he plays the maracas and goes Chick-Chicky-Boom Chick-Chicky-Boom!?! Released in 1994, it stars Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz, Peter Riegert, Peter Greene, Amy Yasbeck, and Richard Jeni.
SOMEBODY....STOP HIM!!! Of course we're referring to Stanley Ipkiss played by Jim Carrey once he puts on that mask, the titular mask for this Summer '94 blockbuster smash which was based on a graphic novel of the same name. Directed by Chuck Russell (Eraser) this was released amidst a breakout year for Carrey, smack between blockbusters Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Dumb and Dumber. But THIS was the one where he got to stretch a bit....LITERALLY. :) Carrey plays a mild-mannered banker who one night finds a mysterious mask in the dock of the fictious Edge City where he lives. He soon finds out that once he puts on that mask at night, it transform him into a cartoonishly green party animal who can sing, dance, and do impressions with the best of them! Also starring in this comic book adapted comedy is Peter Greene, Peter Riegert, and in her big screen debut Cameron Diaz. It's time to P-A-R-T-Y.....WHY? Because he's GOTTA!!! ;) Host: Geoff GershonEdited By Ella GershonProducer: Marlene GershonSend us a texthttps://livingforthecinema.com/Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/Living-for-the-Cinema-Podcast-101167838847578Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/livingforthecinema/Letterboxd:https://letterboxd.com/Living4Cinema/

It's Die Hard on a train! Casey Ryback is back and this time he's…well…um…I…um…hey look, forget about all that, because the good news is that Eric Bogosian is in this movie! This week Phil and Liam hitch a ride on a hijacked death train as they scrutinize Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, director Geoff Murphy's 1995 sequel to the original Seagal action classic! While travelling from Denver to LA via train with his estranged niece Sarah (Katherine Heigl), ex-Navy SEAL Casey Ryback (Seagal) finds himself in the middle of a terrorist takeover led by disgruntled computer genius Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian), who plans to use his experimental government satellite weapon to launch a massive attack on the Eastern seaboard! Ok we'll level with you. This movie isn't great, but Eric Bogosian IS…so the boys spend much of this episode discussing the life, work and varied career of this remarkably talented renaissance man, including his stage plays, monologues, TV and film career and even his non-fiction book Operation Nemesis. Eric Bogosian forever! In ‘Anatomy of an Action Movie', the guys break down the film piece by piece, discussing what works, what doesn't and why, as well as how this film compares to its slick and stylish predecessor (directed by friend of the show Andrew Davis). But it's not just a Bogosian love-fest, as there's also plenty of affection here for the film's eclectic supporting cast, that includes the likes of Morris Chestnut, Jonathan Banks, Peter Greene and Everett McGill (as mace-imbibing bad guy Marcus Penn). The guys ride the rail to attend the ‘Die Hard Oscars', before wrapping things up with the ‘Double Jeopardy' trivia quiz, where this week Liam finally turns the tables on Phil and gets his revenge! We're into the second week of ANNIVERSARY MONTH as we continue our Jim Carrey celebration and move into his next massive hit of 1994, the smooooookiiiiinnnn' hit that is The Mask! How well does this movie hold up 30 years later? Was this movie the first taste of Jim Carrey's acting ability outside of comedy? How great is Cameron Diaz in her first ever movie? How great is Peter Greene and does he deserve more credit as a movie villain than he gets? Why do we love the soundtrack to this movie so much? Which aspects in HD make this movie stand out more than when it was first released? Is Milo our favourite movie dog? Why do we wish we had cops like Kellaway and Doyle? Which is the best scene in the movie and why is it the Cuban Pete singalong? Which part of the filming of the movie does Colin spoil for Ben? And would we want to see a sequel made after all these years? It's a movie that nobody will stop you with so get green and make the scene! ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
In this episode, Peter Greene and Ben Kozinn of Schulte Roth & Zabel review the most prominent legal themes from 2023 and provide some thoughts on what to expect in 2024. In 2023, we saw the regulatory demand placed on consumers of alternative data increase as rapidly as the technology itself, as the SEC continued its scrutiny on the risk of alternative data containing material non-public information and stressed the need for firms to adopt and consistently apply robust due diligence policies and procedures.
Part 1:We talk with Peter Greene, an education writer. We discuss the proposals to support religious teaching in public schools. Voucher schools currently may teach religion, and no state controls what is taught. Voucher schools may accept or decline students at their own discretion, with no explanation. Vouchers are taxpayer-funded, and decrease the amount of money to public schools.Part 2:We talk with Charles C. Foster, and immigration attorney in Texas. We discuss some of the history of immigration laws, and how they are affected by circumstances. Immigration laws in the US are those written in the 1970s, and circumstances have changed. We also do not have a clear understanding of the differences between refugees and asylum seekers. Processing of migrants is very slow, and many do not see a court date sooner than 5-7 years after arrival and detention. Unworkable. WNHNFM.ORG production
Brett Carollo returns to Wake the Dead with first time guest Steven DeLay to discuss Richie Albertini's recorded call to California Child Protective Services. This one call gives us a glimpse into the true reality of Hollywood during the 80s and 90s. Is the truth stranger than fiction? Richie reveals child sex trafficking, blackmail, occult ritual sacrifice, cannibalism, and more in less than an hour. So many threads weave quite a compelling reality. Brett & Steven help to tie these ideas to the films Hollywood was producing at the time. Were some of the most horrific characters in movies cast precisely according to the actor's true nature? What do we know about Peter Greene? Why is Alec Baldwin always connected to accidental misfirings of handguns? Is Alec Baldwin considered acting royalty because he helps bury the bodies?? This is one of the most fascinating rabbitholes to traverse. Is Richie telling the truth? He certainly seems to be legit. Let us know what you think. Part 1:We talk with Peter Greene, education writer for Forbes, about the Cox case in Texas. The decision that the court created does not protect doctors, nurses, or anyone who helps Ms. Cox. We also discuss the Zieglers in Florida. The scandal is casing discord within Moms for Liberty, mainly due to the hypocracy demonstrated. Florida has been waging a war against educators, and this is adding more controversy. Part 2:We talk with William Trollinger, researcher who studies christian supremacists and far right beliefs and activities, about Mike Johnson, his beliefs and his personal history. We discuss Johnson's beliefs and his personal history. We talk about the 'young Earth" beliefs and the rejection of rationality and science. WNHNFM.ORG production
Part 1:Peter Greene, senior contributor to Forbes, joins us for a discussion of vouchers. We look at how vouchers are being used to drain tax money from public education. Because these vouchers are used to support private schools, religious schools, and home schooling, they often are wasted on programs that have no standards, can discriminate for various reasons, and are set up to continue in perpetuity. They re-inistitute racism. They provide no innovation, and replace trained teachers with a variety of other kinds of staff. They outsource discrimination without penalty, and turn education into a private commodity. Part 2:We talk with John Nichols, writer for The Nation. We discuss the announced “Code of Ethics” for the US Supreme Court. This has essentially been a PR stunt, because the Court knows how unpopular it is, and how its reputation has suffered as a result of scandals involving Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and others. This “Code” has no enforcement mechanism, no body responsible for policing and enforcement, no penalties, so it is essentially useless, or, at best, a suggestion. There is an impeachment process that might be followed, if anyone would take responsibility, a function of Congress. WNHNFM.ORG production

Attending a friends night out for a boxing match? Fun! Taking a wrong turn to beat traffic? Questionable. Witnessing a murder and being chased by Denis Leary, House of Pain and others? Now, this night just got bizarre and exciting! This is exactly what happens to four friends (including Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Stephen Dorff). They will take you on a wild ride that includes destinations such as totally abandoned city blocks, train yards, sewer systems (sorry, no Ninja Turtles!), street after street and some kind of flea market/multilevel strip mall. Note: as we keep score of the team body count, RTS have a group bigger than any of these. And, we have our own Jeremy – a better Jeremy! We are also joined by La-Mar and Collin while we all try to flee the city in the strangest ways. The soundtrack is incredible! A special shoutout to Peter Greene who plays Sykes. You are amazing!

Heres the 9th installment on the Radha run, buckle up, it's insanity. Ok so there's two dummies. They are so dumb. One puts chapstick on his anus regularly. There's some jail and then one of em rescues a baby from a car wreck and raises it. Do you like the idea of a total moron raising a baby? I think that's not good. I am scared for the baby. This thing has Skeet Ulrich, Gary Oldman, Peter Greene, Ed O'Neil, Anna Gunn, Matthew Modine and? RADHA. RADHA MITCHELL. Is it good? Is it awful? Does it simply suffer from being directed by someone who wrote some well received screenplays? Why is Gary Oldman in this?

On this episode of Out d'Coup LIVE, we'll be digging into the Pennridge School Board's decision last week to hire the far-right Vermillion Education to rewrite the district's social studies curriculum. The contract to hire Vermillion was posted to the agenda 24 hours before the meeting and at least four members of the board had no idea it was coming. Tonight, we'll get into the school board meeting, Vermilion's background, and increasing moves by Pennridge to turn the school district into a Christian Nationalist haven. Vermillion Education is a four-month old company founded by former Hillsdale College teacher, Jordan Adams. Adams is a graduate of the private, conservative Christian Hillsdale College and served as the Associate Director for Instructional Resources in the Barney Charter School Initiative at Hillsdale College. The Barney Charter Initiative seeks to establish a national network of charter schools using Hillsdale's K-12 curriculum. The results of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, or NAEP, were released yesterday, September 1st, prompting a New York Times headline that read “The Pandemic Erased Two Decades of Progress in Math and Reading”, the 74 headline added “Two Decades of Growth WIPED OUT by Two years of Pandemic”. Peter Greene, an education policy watcher, called it NAEP Pearl Clutching Day. I myself had tweeted out “With the release of pandemic NAEP scores, we're about to have the worst cycle of education discourse imaginable”, and man did that ring true. Everyone was running to their corners to abolish teacher's unions, attack remote & hybrid learning and mask mandates - just relitigating every pandemic issue imaginable - and the results brought out the usual resident experts in everything, like Matt Yglesias, who called the scores “A Short-term L for the left that was more supportive of closure”.While everyone online is jumping to conclusions, we thought it would be important to help provide some context, to step back and take inventory of the data, claims, headlines, and provide context and forecast next steps: what, if anything, could or should we do in response to this report? So I reached out to author and educator John Warner, whose intuition I tend to trust on this kind of thing. John is the author of several books, Why They Can't Write, The Writer's Practice and Sustainable. Resilient. Free.: The Future of Public Higher Education, released in 2020. Thanks John for taking the time to talk with me today. Let's start with what the NAEP results say and what they mean, and then we'll compare that to the headlines. So what do the results say and what should we make of them? Why does the framing matter? What context is missing? How could we meaningfully report on these results? What's missing in the discourse?GUESTJohn Warner, author of Why They Can't Write, The Writer's Practice, and Sustainable. Resilient. Free: The Future of Public Higher Education. In response to the Uvalde school shooting on May 24, 2022, the student producers at Mamaroneck felt it was necessary for them to cover the impact of this recent tragedy on the MHS community. Many often hear of these student-involved events through large media outlets, so they believe it would be important for the community to hear a different perspective - the generation of students shaped by school shootings. Special thanks to MHS Principal Elizabeth Clain, custodian Victor Quinones, counselor Robert Schwartz, teachers Peter Greene, Sarah Silverman, Elyse Gellert-Mullen, and Kimberly Caporaso, and Amanda Gundling's Chorus Class for speaking with us, and especially to the Chorus Class for providing our outro music for this episode. Other voices in this episode wished to remain anonymous. MPR thanks all those who contributed to this episode.
For a movie as irreverent as this week's film, our conversation about it gets just as irreverent. But don't worry, we still think that this film is very relevant. The Mask is rated PG-13 and was released July 28, 1994. The movie features the talents of Jim Carry as Stanley Ipkiss, Cameron Diaz as Tina Carlyle, Peter Riegert as Lt. Mitch Kellaway, Peter Greene as Dorian, Richard Jeni as Charlie Schumaker, and Amy Yasbeck as Peggy Brandt. The bellow links are from the videos that where reference in the podcast.
