Tune into this episode as Sloane shares life updates, her journey out of the hustle, insights from her upcoming masterclass on sugar cravings, and tales of manifestations that require a deep level of trust. There's an allure in the grind, the constant hustle that pushes us to our limits. Many of us have embraced this "work ethic of a machine", thinking it's our masculine energy driving us forward. But sometimes, what we see as dedication can be a sign to pause, listen to our intuition, and embrace our feminine energy that whispers: rest. The art of slowing down, of relaxing out of the hustle, can seem counterintuitive. It's as if you're challenging the norm, navigating the balance between the desire to achieve and the equally important need to rejuvenate. But in Sloane's journey, she's come to appreciate that both energies have their place. Amidst these revelations, Sloane is introducing a Sugar Cravings Masterclass - a deep dive into understanding our body's signals and the psychology behind our cravings. But what does trusting one's intuition and understanding sugar cravings have in common? It's all about listening, understanding, and making aligned, intuitive choices, even when life doesn't seem to align with our plans. "When you heal your relationship with food on the subconscious level as well as on the physical level, you actually don't have cravings anymore.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane talks about: The nuances of masculine and feminine energy and their roles irrespective of gender A sneak peek into the transformative Sugar Cravings Masterclass and the intricate psychology behind our sweet temptations The importance of subconscious healing, contrasting it with logical healing, and why both are essential for holistic well-being The unique aspects of her recent apartment manifestation journey, contrasting it with past apartment manifestations A touching story of saying 'Yes' to an apartment, embodying the essence of trust and surrender The deeper introspection: Can one still maintain unwavering trust in the universe, especially when things don't pan out as expected? …and more! Is it dieting if you choose a salad? If you have food freedom, do you have to always eat the dessert? Is it healthy to use maple syrup instead of white sugar? The world of nutrition, food freedom, dieting, and intuitive eating can get really confusing, so these are valid questions! Especially knowing that diet culture and restricting could leave certain fears about food. So would it be considered disordered eating or dieting the moment you start choosing what is traditionally known as healthy food? The answer is… That depends on the circumstances. Food freedom and Eating with Love & Intuition™ is never about the menu – it's about the mindset. You need to be able to choose food that's not just good for your physical health, but good for your mental and soul health, too. The moment you start choosing nutrient-dense food because of fear, that's not healthy. But if your choice stems from what's good for you physically, mentally, and spiritually, then that's the kind of healthy choice that we're going for. Tune into this episode to learn more about how to figure out whether that healthier food choice REALLY is the better option. "It's less about what you're eating and more about why are you eating it.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane talks about: Creating a distinction between what's truly healthy and what we only think is healthy for us The impact of being forced to eat your “fear foods” The fear of choosing nutrient-dense food The importance of knowing the intention behind your food choices The value of eating not just for the body but also for mental health and soul health The role that taste plays in choosing the food you eat …and more! A lot of people believe that when they remove the food rules and stop restricting themselves, they'll automatically start bingeing 24/7. I've received so many comments on social media about this, and it's a super common fear. But what if I told you that the reason why you binge doesn't have anything to do with food? AND, you can completely heal from restricting without going to the other extreme of binge eating? The truth is that the urge to binge is connected to deeper subconscious root limiting beliefs. There could be issues with control, making you believe that without any rules, you won't be able to trust yourself around food. For some people, it could also be a subconscious root issue of safety. Rules make you feel safe. Therefore, if the food rules are gone, then the anxiety creeps in, and food is the only way you know how to deal with it. Binge eating is not a food issue. That's why it's important to look at the subconscious root cause of why you have an unhealthy relationship with food. Once those limiting beliefs are gone, removing the food rules won't even matter. You'll go straight from restricting to eating intuitively! In this episode, we're going to bust the myth that removing food rules will automatically cause you to binge and talk about what needs to be done to help you eat intuitively without the fear of overeating. "Most people think that if you restrict, you're gonna binge or overeat in your recovery and in your healing. And if you do, then that's okay. It's not your fault. There's no shame in that. But I'm just letting you know there is a world in which you go from restricting to eating intuitively, and you skip the binges. You skip the overeating.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane talks about: Myths about how not restricting your diet could lead you to binge The importance of rewiring your subconscious beliefs around control The connection between the feeling of safety and your relationship with food The role of willpower in binge eating and overeating How the fear of binge eating is an issue of lack of trust The link between comfort and emotions and your relationship with food The importance of rewiring the subconscious root cause of your food struggles …and more! As humans, we were all born with the gift of intuitively knowing how to nurture our bodies. Just think about how babies do it. They cry when they're hungry, then they look away once they're full. It's the most natural thing in the world. But as we get older, we start to hear things that we eventually come to accept as our truth – from expectations of what our ideal weight should be to how much or how little we should eat. We learn things along the way that eventually bury our natural instincts when it comes to food. We turn to diets and become obsessed with restrictions, taking away our power when it comes to choosing how to nourish our bodies. In this episode, we'll talk about how eating intuitively is the most natural thing in the world for humans and how to heal your relationship with food so that your natural instincts, cues, and body trust can finally resurface again. "When you have healed your relationship with food, Eating with Love and Intuition™ will become as easy and second nature as breathing.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane talks about: How eating intuitively has been natural to us since we were babies The systems in place within our body when it comes to food and nutrition Why we should listen to our own body cues to decide what's natural or not How to unlearn beliefs that block our natural body cues and intuition How to use the science of food as part of our human gifts …and more! With intuitive eating, Sloane Elizabeth shares with us how we can change our relationship with food. Our relationship with food can also become unhealthy as a result of trauma or our beliefs about food from the past. By using this gentle nutrition approach, we can work with our relationship without going on crazy diets and yo-yoing our weight. This can be helpful for those suffering from binge eating disorder as well as other eating disorders.Intuitive eating can benefit anyone without a diagnosis of an eating disorder. You might want to consider intuitive eating if you are always thinking about food, even when you aren't hungry. As a result, all food is seen as food. Food is food, and so instead of focusing on the numbers such as calories and fat, see it for how it makes you feel emotionally and physically. We can create a healthy relationship with mind, body, and soul when we trust our divine intuition when making food choices. As we approach the new year, we need to work on our relationship with food to avoid getting trapped in the shame cycle or sucked into the marketing for New Year, New You. At this moment on the planet, we are releasing so many outdated beliefs and structures. Food is one of the big ones, and very personal for so many women. In this episode, my guest, food freedom coach and holistic wellness expert Sloane Elizabeth and I are talking about food and unraveling many of the layers of the (pardon the pun) heaviness that has been entangled with our relationship to food. In her work, Sloane combines the science of nutrition with spirituality, as a holistic journey into self love and embodiment. Sloane brilliantly shared, as women, particularly with food and our bodies, we have been manipulated to be smaller and therefore less powerful. In fact, she says, because our power is truly unlimited, there are so many systems and structures that are terrified of us. Stepping back into an alive relationship with ourselves opens us to remember more of that presence. Sloane says, food, something that we interact with every day, something we put inside our bodies everyday is important because it becomes a part of our beautiful bodies. She shared that for her, food freedom, means something more than how it has traditionally been portrayed. She says that kind of freedom is empowering, intentional, intuitive, and a powerful key to unlocking our potential in all areas of our life. We talked about the importance of being present to embodiment. If we are not “feeding” ourselves mindfully then something else can feed on us, whether that's unresolved mental or emotional patterns, lineage or societal programs. Sloane's heart work is to get her clients to be “on the same team” as their bodies, so they can successfully re-calibrate and trust the wisdom of their bodies once again. Mind over matter, we hear that quite often but do we realize the depth of that 3-word phrase? It means the human brain is so powerful that it is capable of controlling even our emotions, our actions, and our outcome. If that is the case, then all we need to do is to leverage the mind over matter adage and use it into something more beneficial for us. In this episode, Sloane talks about guilt in general, where it comes from, and what triggers it. She also focuses on food guilt and how to manage it so that the coming holidays will be one that is joyous and merry instead of a guilt-laden celebration just because food is abundant during this season. "Your perception dictates your reality.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane shares: Why food guilt is only in the mind, a perception thing The decisions you're most likely to make when you are sad and guilty The culprit to feelings of guilt is not “who” but “what” and what you can do to move forward Why there's no such thing as "junk" food Why using labels tied to morality doesn't help with the guilt and the terms you should use, instead Why forcing yourself to eat the nutrients is NOT healthy The foundation of where we go with the guilt-eating during holidays Why perception is key when it comes to deep healing The difference between expectations based on feelings versus those based on a specific scenario The reason why you shouldn't feel guilty about overeating How to release guilt around food experiences Resources Mentioned: FREE WORKSHOP: 3 Steps to Avoid Overeating During the Holidays Email us a screenshot of your review and win a gift bundle of body image meditation and yoga classes - support@sloaneelizabeth.com Connect with Sloane Elizabeth: Website Instagram TikTok Free QUIZ: What's holding you back from releasing the (emotional & mental) weight? In today's episode, Sloane Elizabeth, a food freedom coach, steps into the virtual recording studio for a lovely conversation about what 'intuitive eating' really means and how we can find freedom with food. Sloane brings such a unique and incredible perspective to the topic and I think this one is gonna really resonate with you guys! When we were kids, holidays used to be the most looked-forward-to season in our lives. It meant joy and celebration, reunions, gift-giving, and unlimited access to food. Now, a lot of people seem to dread it more than they look forward to it. They can't take all the blame, though. Society has suddenly set endless restrictions and expectations that can hardly be met. Holidays became a stern reminder of how much weight you need to lose, how ill-fitting your go-to little red dress would look on those bulges, and why you're not supposed to get a second serving of that mouth-watering chicken pie. Before you start freaking out, Sloane is here to give her fool-proof techniques on how to have a blast this holiday season without binge eating and feeling guilty, and most importantly, STRESS-FREE. "When there's a restriction and you're pulling back, there's lack, and your body and mind are going to overcompensate with abundance.” - Sloane Elizabeth In this episode, Sloane shares: Why today is the best day to STOP dieting The pre-requisites of setting boundaries Why you need to take the lead in honoring your boundaries Why the holiday requires you to step into your food “Whys” The real reason for the season The workshop that can change your relationship with food…for good Resource Mentioned: FREE: 3 Steps to Stop Overeating During the Holidays Connect with Sloane Elizabeth: Website Instagram TikTok Free QUIZ: What's holding you back from releasing the (emotional & mental) weight? Win a journal by following @fiveminutejournal, @regardlessthepod, and leave an apple review! xThe topic of body image & food is a dynamic one, especially in today's world where a lot of information is left out of the content that we consume on social, whether it's a "what I eat in a day” post, diet plans, or even just as simple as a picture. In this special episode, we sit down with food freedom, intuitive eating coach, and author, Sloane Elizabeth. Sloane and I get real about the affects of social media and how it can get in the way of us honoring our bodies & fueling ourselves with nutrition, instead of feeling ashamed about eating and being "hyper focused" on the external resulting in comparing our bodies to others. Sloane shares shares her definition of intuitive eating and how to manifest food freedom that is unique to YOUR body. You'll leave this episode feeling supported and understanding how to cultivate a healthy, freeing, and abundant relationship with food REGARDLESS of the social media scale. Syllabus Steps: A Resilient Mindset - the first step to food freedom is getting honest with yourself, being okay with where you are at, and knowing you will heal and improve.Visualization: visualize food freedom - what will it be like, what will you feel like?Where are you now (point A)? Where do you want to be next (point B)? This week in the vortex, food freedom & intuitive eating coach Sloane Elizabeth joins your hosts to hold a convo on all things food freedom. She tells us all about her own journey with food, from restriction and fear in her teenage years to full healing and the ultimate creation of the signature method she's taught to hundreds of women globally: eating with Love & Intuition. She beautifully maps out what it actually means to eat with Love & Intuition (it's a completely unique method that combines science with spirituality!) and what it looks like to start the Love & Intuition process after years of distrusting your body. Sloane then holds space for Elle's recent experience in F.A.A. (listen to last week's episode if you missed that story) and gives us her thoughts on cutting out certain foods from your diet. She clarifies the difference between restriction from an unhealed place and cutting out foods because they don't feel aligned or good in your body. Then, we dive into a fascinating discussion about epigenetics and taking on generational patterns around food. Naturally, the conversation lands in the realm of spirituality, as Sloane details her personal spirituality and how it's shaped everything within her food freedom & coaching journey. We wrap up this week's adventure in the vortex with a card pull from Sloane Elizabeth herself.
