A podcast focusing on systemic and holistic frameworks proven to support senior executives to improve their results, grow their leadership and enhance their well-being.I created this podcast for two primary reasons:First, to support my former executive clients to continue the application of principles and frameworks they learned and currently practice in support of their priorities and aspirations.Second, to encourage the leadership development and executive coaching professions to integrate new thinking and approaches based on breakthroughs in neuroscience that help grow leaders more efficiently and faster. Ultimately, our species is at a turning point as we face multiple crises. I believe business executives are well-positioned to help us find a new way forward that unites rather than divides and brings us together to generate profound solutions to resolve today's greatest challenges. Yet, if business executives are going to be the change agents we crave, they must embody an enlightened form of leadership. Enlightened leaders focus on creating environments that bring out the best in others in service to visions that unite and generate solutions that serve everyone. I welcome your feedback and even topic ideas. If you would like to communicate with me the direction you can send an email to me: David@davidcraigutts.com

We explore what beliefs actually are, why they're so sticky, and how they invisibly script our leadership behaviors, outcomes, and identity. Our conversation reveals how deeply embedded childhood experiences and emotional charges create belief systems that feel real but may be limiting our potential.• Beliefs are defined as "accepting something as true without proof" and are necessary interpretations that help our brains navigate reality• The emotional charge connected to beliefs makes them stick, especially those formed during early childhood when our nervous system was developing • Our identity becomes wrapped around these beliefs, making us defend them even when they hurt us or limit our effectiveness• Executives often crash and burn when their unprocessed childhood trauma gets triggered in high-pressure situations• The current leadership development approach of building "governors" to manage reactive behavior is failing in today's complex environment• Softening into experience and expanding awareness creates true executive presence versus rigid ego-driven leadership• The Resilient Leader Method helps reset the nervous system to factory settings without imposing beliefs or values• Successful transformation occurs when leaders stop operating from "have to" and begin leading from a grounded, authentic placeJoin us next week for the final episode in our three-part series where we'll explore how to consciously choose our beliefs and leverage them for greater leadership impact.Connect with Our Co-Hosts:- Anatoly Yakorev: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yakorev/- Ryan McShane: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryan-mcshane-743382a/Unfazed Under Fire Podcast - Host: David Craig Utts, Leadership Alchemist Our podcast is also available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music To access additional platforms, follow this link:https://www.unfazedunderfirepodcast.online

Ever wonder why brilliant strategies often fail in execution? Or why, despite your best efforts, innovation seems so elusive in your organization? The answer might surprise you – it's not about working harder or acquiring more knowledge. It's about your consciousness. In this culminating episode of our special series on leadership in chaos, we dive deep into what's really happening when executives face today's relentless business environment. The statistics are sobering: 67% of well-formulated strategies fail to meet execution goals, over 50% of executives report complete dissatisfaction with innovation efforts, and 70% are seriously considering leaving their positions altogether. These aren't just numbers – they represent a profound leadership crisis that traditional methods are failing to address. The conversation takes an honest look at the toll this environment exacts on leaders themselves. Beyond performance impacts, there's a crushing human cost that affects everything from work relationships to family life. As one executive shared, "I don't want to lose what makes me effective, but I don't know how to keep up with all this stuff." This sentiment resonates with countless leaders caught between external demands and outdated organizational structures. What makes this episode particularly valuable is its focus on a breakthrough approach – the Resilient Leader Method. Unlike traditional development programs that operate solely at the intellectual level, this method works directly with the leader's nervous system, triggering a reset that allows them to lead from a fundamentally different place. Through compelling case studies and practical insights, we explore how this shift in consciousness creates leaders who naturally excel at execution and innovation without the crushing weight of constant stress.Whether you're feeling the pressure of leadership yourself or supporting others who are, this conversation offers a genuinely fresh perspective on what's possible. The authentic, courageous leadership system empowers executives to upgrade their internal operating system, enabling them to facilitate high-value conversations that naturally build trust and alignment.• Today's disruptions create a survival mode response that fundamentally breaks down trust and inhibits collaboration• Traditional trust-building tactics no longer work because people can sense inauthenticity through energy and subtle cues• The "Great Detachment 1.0" has employees mentally checking out to preserve their well-being• An executive's primary job is facilitating high-value conversations, not having all the answers• Building trust requires seeing employees as assets to be developed rather than resources to be consumed• Operating from authenticity means shifting from transactional to relational interactions with team members• Consciousness serves as the ultimate leadership hack—when you're present, creative solutions naturally emerge• The Resilient Leader Method accelerates neuroplasticity, helping executives quickly upgrade their internal operating system• Successful leaders focus on managing relationships rather than being reactive to circumstancesIf you're ready to create a culture of trust, not by force but by who you're being, then the journey begins with your own awareness, because when you rise in consciousness, the game changes.About the Resilient Leader Methodhttps://www.davidcraigutts.com/resilient-leader-method/Contact our Co-hosts:Anatoly Yakorev - https://www.linkedin.com/in/yakorev/Ryan McShane - https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryan-mcshane-743382a/Unfazed Under Fire Podcast - Host: David Craig Utts, Leadership Alchemist Our podcast is also available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music To access additional platforms, follow this link:https://www.unfazedunderfirepodcast.online

What if the key to a thriving organization was as simple as creating a workplace where Monday mornings don't suck? Our guest, Eric Harkins, founder and president of GKG Search and Outplacement, takes us on a deep exploration of this concept. Bringing his book "Great Leaders Make Sure a Monday Morning Doesn't Suck" to life, he champions the importance of leadership in company culture and the dire implications of ignoring underperforming employees.Together, we pull back the curtain on the idea of "LEAD," a tool that focuses on the qualities and behaviors of leaders over their results. But it doesn't stop there; Eric spills the beans on what really makes a company great and how you, as a leader, can maintain that greatness. We put under the microscope the controversial issue of employees turning off their cameras during virtual meetings and expose the need for trust and open communication in remote teams.Lastly, we delve into the heart of employee motivation and the three things that make them tick: a cool place, cool projects, and cool people. In our last podcast, Anatoly Yakorev and l discussed the intersection between leadership trust and ethics.  During that conversation, we touched on the nature of leadership in the executive suite and how a large contingent that still defaults to a more autocratic style of leadership that drives results through fear.  That said, we agreed that an enlightened approach to leading is what works far better to generate high-quality results, retain talent, and improve well-being at work.  Enlightened leaders have strong executive presence, are more visionary and strategic, exceptional in their conversational intelligence, and stellar in their ability to create alignment as well as to attract and retain talent.  All of this results in maximizing their ability to create value and generate outstanding results for their organizations, at a level no autocratic leader can generate. I invited Anatoly back for this conversation to dive deeper into this and explore the value of an enlightened approach to leadership and what an executive must do to develop into a more enlightened leader.  Unfazed Under Fire Podcast - Host: David Craig Utts, The Resilient Leadership Guy
