Send Bite Me a Text - How Did You Discover The Show?I can't wait for the Lost Art Workshop but legalization in Germany and a whirlwind trip to Irleland are how I'm finishing up my time abroad. I find myself filled with a melange of emotions. The support from you, my passionate listeners, has turned the Bite Me into a beacon for those who revel in the intersection of travel, culture, and the ever-evolving world of cannabis. I'll regale you with tales of my recent escapade to Ireland, where the local cannabis community enveloped me in warmth, and the exchange of potent homemade edibles left me with a treasury of flavours to savour. This trip was not just about exploration, but also about the precious connections and learnings I'm eager to bring home to Canada, enriching our shared journey through the podcast.Sadly, an interview with the legendary Mila the Hash Queen slipped through my fingers due to technical gremlins, yet her spirit permeates the episode as I anticipate the Frenchy Lost Art Workshop in Toronto—a conclave for those yearning to master the ancient craft of hash-making. While Mila's physical presence was missed, her life story unfolds in our discussion, painting a portrait of a woman whose path from an unwed mother to a cannabis culture icon is nothing short of inspiring. As we wrap up, I extend an invitation to text and engage directly with the show, fostering a community rich in stories and recommendations. Your tales of discovery and shared experiences breathe life into Bite Me, ensuring our collective adventure in cannabis and cuisine continues to flourish. As I pack my bags and bid "Auf Wiedersehen" to Germany, I'm filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia. The prospect of witnessing the changes in Canada's cannabis landscape is thrilling, and I'm equally curious to see how Germany's scene will evolve by the time I potentially return. In closing, I invite you to join me on this journey, both through the podcast episodes and here in the written word. Let's continue to explore the dynamic world of cannabis together, sharing laughs, lessons, and insights along the way. Until next time, keep those texts coming and stay high.Bite Me listeners in the contiguous 48 receive 15% off their order at lorannoils.com. Use code BITEME15 at checkout. As a special THANK YOU to our Patreon community that keeps the showing going through these tough times, Andrea shares her “hot sauce” for making art. The core spice is this: Don't be afraid to be interesting. Sometimes there might be a temptation to self-censor, to play it safe, to adhere to external pressures real or imagined. Instead, go within and create based on what's true for you. That's what the world needs from you now. To use this guide, watch the video of the workshop, then read through the worksheet that outlines the step-by-step process: for Patreon subscribers you can find that worksheet linked here. Or you can listen to the guide as you would any podcast. Whatever works for you is what works! As a follow-up to this workshop, we'll gather in the new year for a live virtual event to talk through our projects, share ideas and insights, and support each other in our creative process. The goal is to protect our mental hygiene, enhance our intuition, and stay creative in a time of rampant gaslighting by idiotic destructive forces determined to demoralize us. We obviously won't let that happen. For any questions or to share notes on your own process, leave a comment below or write to Andrea at GaslitNation@gmail.com. To check out the first ever Gaslit Nation Make Art workshop, subscribe to the show at the Truth-teller level or higher on Patreon by signing up at Patreon.com/Gaslit. This is a recording of the Art Workshop as presented on Youtube. This episode is referring to specific imagery and thus is not readily beneficial to listen to for a podcast. You can still listen to it for the affirmations and the first 45 minutes of the workshop. Welcome To The Art Magic Workshop. Over the last two years I have undegone a huge journey inextricably linked between spirituality and art. One day after a quantum jump I awoke as an artist, with different memories and desires. I felt an overwhelming urge to create in any way i could. As I learned to paint with my wife I began to feel the presence of the creator, joining us in our creations. After much research and experimentation I was inspired to try Art Magic, after spending long hours mixing paint I found I could charge the paint with my light and put intentions into it. As I did amazing things began to happen with these painting. I coded real intentions into this art and it began to have an amplifying magical effect unlike anything I had ever experience. Soon I was giving this art to my friends as a means to help change their reality. One to help a friend find love and another for a friend struggling to get a job. You can do all of this and more. In this workshop I will discussThe history of art as magicThe power and history of sigils and hypersigils. How to create sigils using artMy art journeyDifferent painting mediumsUsing Grabovoi and quantum healing codes, what they are, how they work, and how to learn more about them.Flow painting do's and dont'sFinally I will share the different art sigils, giving you access to the concentrated energies I created using this process. You can create your own art magic. My goal is to show you how to do this to empower your manifestations to help you find wealth, health, love, and to ascend to higher levels of consciousness through these images. Jow has a problem (only one?). So he bounces it off Rainwater for help. It's a storytelling problem and one that many artists face: What exactly do I wanna do? It's not exactly 'writer's block' but more so having a dozen different maps and indecision about which one to take.

I had New Mexico landscape painter Bill Gallen on the podcast today. He's such an interesting guy and his heart and soul are poured into every painting he does. We get to hear his story about struggling to find a path in the art world. Bill had an encounter with an artist during an art fair, and after seeing this artist's painting that resonated with him to an immeasurable extent, and BOOM, everything changes. After nearly fifteen years as a contractor, Bill Gallen traded in his house painting brushes for an easel painter's tool.Life can be like that, especially with art. I've seen this over and over again and the lesson I've learned is that art in just about any capacity can change a person completely. It can make a doctor become an art dealer and lead a construction worker to become an artist and Bill details the later route in today's episode. For those out there who want to be an artist, art dealer, curator, etc. Just give this podcast a listen. It might provide a roadmap to a life filled with creation and beauty. A path that Bill Gallen and I both found and never looked back.View Bill Gallen's Available Paintings:https://www.medicinemangallery.com/western-fine-art/southwestern-contemporary-painters/gallen-bill

We’ve all heard the old saying, "Moms shouldn’t be allowed to get sick!" And it’s true--we shouldn’t! We need to take care of our families, and family life doesn’t just pause when Mom isn’t feeling well. It’s hard enough for the household to continue functioning for a week when Mom gets a bad cold or the flu, but when a mother faces chronic illness or pain, that can be a truly devastating trial. I’ve personally had a taste of this because I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition several years ago, and the medication I take for it causes kidney stones. For me, the most difficult part is how discouraged I sometimes feel when I can’t care for my family in the way that I would like to. Several months ago, in the midst of kidney stone pain, I reached out to Becky Farley and Candace Little, the founders of Mindful Art Company, and asked for their best tips on using mindfulness to cope with illness. They sent back the three takeaways that are the basis of our conversation today: Separate your pain from your suffering. Pain x Resistance = Suffering Allow pain to fix you. What is the pain telling you about what you or your body needs? Listen! Meditate. Tuning into your body instead of resisting it doesn’t necessarily take away the pain, but it makes it easier to deal with. These three strategies have been so helpful to me as I've battled my own health problems the past year, and I hope they will help many mothers who are listening, as well. Do peers ever ask you to share your teaching secrets? Do you specialize in an area of art-making? Does generating extra income sound appealing? If there is a yes in there somewhere, this episode is for you. In this episode, I unpack how I developed and executed my successful Art Workshop. I break down the process from the idea to how to book a facility to structuring the projects plus much more. This process may sound scary or unrealistic to some of you. You maybe asking why anyone would attend your workshop, let alone pay for one. But they will. You can put on a small event with 10 teachers or a large one with 50! This show is for anyone who has a desire to share their art experience through a workshop and earn extra income in the process. After you listen to the show, make sure to download my free Art Workshop Guide that will help you plan YOUR own art workshop. LISTEN TO THE SHOW: HOW TO HOST YOUR OWN ART WORKSHOP Here are some common questions you may ask yourself as you think about whether you should host your own workshop: How many people should I have and where will I host it? Workshops can be as small as just a few people or as large as a couple of hundred—or more. - Less than 10 people allows you to host the workshop in your home. -10-25 means you’ll need a larger room like a neighborhood club house or classroom at school - 25-75 means you’ll need to rent a space in a school, community center, etc. - Larger than that and you’ll need to look for facilities that specialize in events for larger groups. Popular choices are hotels and colleges and universities. What qualifications do I need to have? You may wonder what qualifications you need to host your own workshop especially if you are charging a fee. As far as I am concerned, you don't need any special qualification to teach what you know. Other than being good at what you do, people will either pay you for your skills or not. What should I teach? This is entirely up to you. Sometimes you don't know what you are really good at until someone points it out. I never considered myself a great art teacher until my art teacher friends started asking me more and more questions. They wanted to know how I did things. And they were willing to pay for my expertise. That gave me the confidence to run a business. To help determine what to teach, write down a list of questions or statements people often ask you. If you have a blog, look through your comments to see what questions pop up the most. Or what style of art projects get commented on more than others. These are good indications where people resonate with you. How do people to register? It goes without saying that if you do not already have a following, it might be hard to get 200 people to a workshop, but 10-25 is very doable. You can send emails to teachers in your areas. You can ask your friends to spread the word. You can use social media like Facebook to announce your workshop and invite people to email you for more information. What should I charge? As teachers we often expect our peers to share for free. That's a fact. In fact, it wasn't long ago that teachers chastised other teachers for trying to earn extra money on Teachers Pay Teachers. The truth is, I love to share. And I love when others share, but there are some efforts that are valuable to others and payment is necessary. In the case of a workshop, there will be fees involved. You must cover these fees plus pay yourself for not just your effort, but you expertise. Charging between $25 and $150 a day for a session is normal. To see how I planned my event, what supplies I used and how I onboard my customers, you can download this PDF by clicking the box below. Just abetter your name and email (make sure to type your email correctly or you won't get the PDF).
