Welcome to another episode of Passive Real Estate Investing. Today, I have a returning guest. This is his third time on the show, Richard Duncan. He's an amazing guy, famous economist, and he writes some incredible books. Every once in a while, I like to do an episode on economic trends and what is going on in the global economy and how that impacts you as an investor, even though you are an individual here living in the United States or wherever you may be. But everything that happens on the world stage has an impact on you. Whether it be interest rates, whether it be the labor market, whether it is, you know, quantitative tightening or easing the impact of protectionism on interest rates, even the stimulus that has come out of many events in the past, including more recently covid and what happened, you know, since March, 2020. But even the events prior to that, as far back as the housing crisis of 2006, 2007, which led to the great recession of 2008. I mean, all these have an impact both immediately and the trickle effect from that as the years go by in terms of inflation, housing prices, commodities, and you know, the cost of goods, whatever it may be. So I think this is a very interesting topic and you know, it's not something you want to necessarily listen to all the time or every day or every week, but every once in a while it's good to have a lay of the land and understand what's happening big picture wise, because that ultimately trickles down. And when you see the big picture and the trends that are going on on the world stage, you can better understand what you're doing and what you're investing in or make better decisions in terms of what investments you should be focused on getting into or getting out of. And so I want to share this interview I did with Richard today, and I think you'll enjoy it. In 2021, Paul received the Howard Browne Medal from the Victorian Military Society. Summary Bill and Paul discussed the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers on D-Day, the complexities of the Normandy landing operations, and the hypothetical scenario of a failed invasion. They also explored the importance of various events on June 4-5, 1944, and the critical factors that contributed to the success of D-Day, including deception planning, detailed training, air superiority, and contingency planning. In today's episode I'm joined by Franklin O'Kanu, author of the Unorthodoxy Substack, to discuss the current situation in the Middle East regarding Israel, Hamas, and the Gaza Strip. The discussion starts with a consideration of the immediate elements at play in Hamas's original terrorist attack on Israel and Israel's subsequent carpet bombing and ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza. Then we zoom out and I offer my take on the larger geopolitical circumstances going on behind the conflict and what it says about the shifting circumstances of US empire. This is a topic I plan on revisiting and probing further into in future episodes. [spacer height="20px"] [01:20] Why Wellness Is A Pentagon In today's solocast we're talking about the wellness pentagon, the five critical factors to build your best life, and these critical factors truly are critical I mean out of all the things that you could do and be, and say in the world, these in my opinion, and in my own 20+ years of being in this wellness world are the absolute most important things. You can focus on every day, one breath, one inch at a time to have the best life you could ever imagine. And my life is the result of that so if you're wondering why should you listen to me well take a look at the website and see what I've been creating since 2015 after I left the fitness industry and dove heart and soul into wellness and podcasting. Multiple six figures of income and a family and a thriving business and all my results speak for themselves. So if you ever want to know if you should listen to someone, look at the life they're living and ask yourself: "Do I want all or some of their life?" If you yourself are a coach or trainer or therapist, or anyone at all that either wants different results in your life or wants to love yourself more deeply or be of service to your clients and your customers this podcast has the potential to change your life. I don't say that lightly this is legit wisdom from over 20+ years of me flailing forward getting bloody and learning sometimes not the easy way, but always coming out with more wisdom than before so let's begin. By the end of this podcast, you'll be left with the details and gold about the mental physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial aspects of what I call the wellness pentagon, which in my experience is the only thing and will be the only thing you ever have to focus on to live WELL in a very complicated world. I've made this more simple for you. At the end of each of these five quick yet potent and powerful sections today, I'm going to give you one challenge and one resource that you can take action on as soon as you're done with this podcast. Now, no need to write anything down so if you're driving keep your eyes on the road. If you're walking in the park, which hopefully you are, I hope the sun is shining on your shoulders. No need to write any of this down. You can find everything today over at JoshTrent.com/513. [spacer height="20px"] [04:22] Physical Let's start with the physical. It has been said that "as above, so below", and the soul must connect to and live inside the heart and mostly get out of the mind, but yet, the mind and the heart cannot survive without the physical body. It is the foundation it is the being that we inhabit. It is the only thing we all express from, so the physical takes a very important place in the pentagon, which is why I always start with the physical. It is the floor, it is the root, it is the foundation of all things included in your physical wellness. It is your breath, work, hydration, nutrition, movement, digestion, immunity, and anything and everything that relates to motion, respiration, assimilation, and processing. It is where the brain lives. It is where the heart beats. It is where your blood flows. One thing to really pay attention to when it comes to your physical aspect of the pentagon is to make sure every single day that you take 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes to consciously breathe and move your body. Now, I know that seems easy you're probably listening to this and saying "Well duh, of course, I need to move my body, of course." but here's the question: are you doing it? Are you placing it in your calendar to make it a priority to consciously breathe like we do in the Breath + Wellness program or move your body out in the arms of nature? I don't care if it's in your freaking hotel room on a 5 or 10-minute break from work, or if you're wearing a tie or dress shirt. None of this matters. Notice that when it comes to nourishing your physical body, the mind will sometimes tell you that it's "not the right time "but it is always the right time to breathe consciously and move consciously. Otherwise, you will be in the control of your unconscious. And your unconscious always wants to rest, always wants to eat the chocolate cake, always wants to chill and take it easy because that is where it feels safe and it does not have to grow and it does not have to do anything that your heart is directing you towards. We'll talk more about heart intelligence when it comes to the spiritual aspect of your wellness. One quick step that I want you to take today if you take an inventory and you realize that from a physical standpoint, you may be carrying extra weight or you have pain or you're dealing with a health issue or you just don't feel well physically would be to take a breath and just be OK with the fact that you are where you are. Shame will not motivate you, or inspire you from this place only truth and acknowledgment of where you are is what will allow you to pick yourself up because no one's coming to save you. If you're struggling physically, make a time and financial investment to purchase a program, and hire a trainer to start with an external framework of accountability where you have to show up because you've paid for something or you have to show up for a workout or a hike or run or exercise with a friend because you don't want to let them down. Sometimes when it comes to stoking yourself physically, the subconscious mind and the neuroplasticity in the brain are so deep that a human being can believe the story that their physical health is not as important as it truly is, and it is these bullshit stories that create terrible results which make people feel stuck. So from this moment right now, I know you can feel it inside of your heart in your body because that's where the change is coming from that wants to be expressed… Right now, lock it in and make an appointment and invest time and money into moving your physical body every single day, and when you do that, it will create a cascade of momentum that will allow you to continue to do it over and over and over again. As a challenge, you can head over to breathwork.io and use the code "PODCAST30". It's the first time I've ever given this big of a discount but I'm doing it because, by the time you're listening to this, you'll need this inspiration more than ever. So use the code "PODCAST30" to save 30% off your three-week breathwork.io journey where I guide you personally to breathe consciously and to move consciously so that you can start expressing this energy and this wellness that has been inside of you for so long. It's my gift to you. Do it right now and if you don't do it with me, do it with someone you're gonna have to make an investment with someone you may as well make it with me you can trust me, I've been there and I'm there for you right now. That is my promise. As we close this short teaching about the physical aspect of your wellness, take stock of how you feel that is going to be the biggest report card about what needs to be changed when it comes to your physical health. It may seem hard, but that is just your subconscious mind creating a story that it's going to be. Taking a walk for most of us is not hard, touching your toes, doing 30 deep breaths, walking up some stairs instead of the elevator, and taking 5 minutes to do some burpees or push-ups or squats is not hard. It's not. It's just that the stories the subconscious mind has been projecting for decades may be telling you that it is. So to get over the story, take accountability to change your story by changing something that you are accountable to someone or something. Maybe it's money, maybe it's time, maybe it's a friend. This is what makes all the difference. I truly believe this, I used to be 280 pounds. I've been there a great resource for you is the breathwork program that I've talked about you can also go to the website JoshTrent.com and just search for fitness and breathwork on the website - there's tons of content there for you. [spacer height="20px"] [11:46] Mental Next is the mental. And this is by far (in order of importance) the second most important thing that you must focus on if you want your physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial wellness to thrive and to be different than how it is today. That's what we all want, isn't it? We all want to reach our potential in all five of these things, but the reason we don't is that we believe stories about why we can't, so let's change that story right here, right now. When it comes to mental health, there are core aspects of the brain, health, cognition, mindfulness, and neuroplasticity that absolutely must be addressed here, and obviously today in this solocast, we are simply identifying and taking a quick inventory with an actionable step for each one today. Obviously, every one of these five sides is a lifetime of work and study but to simplify it because I told you, I would do that, to simplify it every single section in our five sections today will have an inventory identification process, and an actionable step that you can take to get a result right away because results matter results create momentum. In a mental and also emotional inventory, we must identify the stories that we are telling ourselves or the stories that we believe about other people or events or things that are dictating. A quick mental inventory of your belief systems is the only place to start, to start at self-awareness. For example, if you notice that you are quick to judge or quick to anger, it is not just an emotional program that is running. It is a mental program. The only way we can identify that mental program is through increased awareness and I have found that the most powerful tool for increased awareness is to be still. But how do we just choose to be still when we're triggered or when we are at our most mentally stressed? I would argue to say that that's not the best time for you to do it if you're just starting on your journey. If you're a seasoned veteran, maybe that might be the ultimate ninja training for you, but for most of us the best time to be still is first thing in the morning or when you go to bed at night. These are the times when in the morning you can prime your mind we talk about this in the M21 three-week guide that I'm giving to you for free at JoshTrent.com/M21. And the best way to prime your mind is by consciously breathing, followed by bulleting the subconscious mind. Once you have identified the thoughts that you allow yourself to think, the thoughts that you attached to that is in my opinion, the origin of mental health, true mental health comes from true self-awareness. In the bullet journal system that we talk about in the M21 guide you begin by: writing the date of the day the three things you're grateful for the three goals you have for that day the three affirmations and the final question that is the most powerful is who do I get to be today? Who do I get to be today? I know this might sound easy or too simplistic but this is the only way that I have improved my life and created multiple six figures with a woman I love and a family. Do you want one or all of those things? It is my promise to you that the more you do this, the more you bullet, your subconscious mind, the greater mental health you will have, and that mental health will transfer to every other part of your pentagon that is my promise to you. Just a quick note on mental health and psychedelics because it's important. "Just because we can do something, does not mean that we should." The intrusive thoughts we have (not that we are) are designed to keep you safe, in a box, and protected from the risk of freedom and love. The work is about unearthing the old stories, bringing compassion to your scared self, and allowing yourself to feel the old pain and sit with the current fear. Make sure you listen to the entire episode with Scott Jackson titled "Rewire Yourself: How To Create A Life You Love With Freedom From Subconscious Sabotage." You can find it at JoshTrent.com/481. [spacer height="20px"] [16:42] Emotional Next is the emotional. One powerful and very quick way to take an inventory of your emotional state is to do what I like to call the emotional inventory or the EI2 process. A powerful solocast I'm going to link for you is about emotional epigenetics and you can find it at JoshTrent.com/499. This concept of emotional epigenetics is fascinating to me. It's what I'm writing my book on and I think that my life is a byproduct of its expression in me and I know and trust that the way you are with yourself and others has a direct connection to what you have experienced in your life out of the womb, inside the womb, and what you have been imprinted with from your mother, grandparents, great grandparents, going back as far as five generations, or even more. If it is the first time you are hearing this concept about imprinting or epigenetics, then I implore you to go over to JoshTrent.com/499 and listen to the entire solo cast I think it will make a huge impact for you personally with a lot more clarity around how you inherit not just physical characteristics, but also emotional characteristics and ways of being from your lineage. We talk about this concept of "the work "so much and personal development and self-growth but what is it exactly, what is the work? The work is about developing a practice of letting go as an antidote to the wounded self that tirelessly tries to control, and finding the faith and courage to take the risk of opening your heart with your loving, present, available self + partner. The anima and animus are described in Carl Jung's school of analytical psychology as part of his theory of the collective unconscious. Aristotle decided that "Nature abhors a vacuum". Jung described the animus as the unconscious masculine side of a woman, and the anima as the unconscious feminine side of a man, each transcending the personal psyche. Jung's theory states that the anima and animus are the two primary anthropomorphic archetypes of the unconscious mind, as opposed to the theriomorphic and inferior function of the shadow archetypes. He believed they are the abstract symbol sets that formulate the archetype of the self. Once you know how you operate and what you want to operate differently, you can change it but until then you will be repeating over and over again the same triggers, and the same stories that give the same results. If you want new results and I know you do because I have definitely struggled with this concept in my lifetime, I will share with you that the only thing that made a difference was increased awareness and increased inventory. Take the inventory take the emotional inventory over at JoshTrent.com/499. [spacer height="20px"] [20:30] Spiritual Spirituality is often incredibly misunderstood. Religion has trained the world to worship something outside of themselves, and I do believe that there are positive aspects of religion but unfortunately, just like any tool religion has been used to help and harm people for millennia. Traditional Christians, Jewish Islam, and many others do not want to face the fact that in the religious texts, there are many phrases and stories that point to God being inside the human. It is easy to pontificate that there is no meeting to anything so what's the point but that is actually the most powerful part of our human existence is that there aren't any meetings of all this, there really aren't. The one take away, and one challenge that I want to offer to your heart and your hands when it comes to spirituality is this: Can you search way deep down inside yourself blow all the layers of conditioning, below all the layers of shame, or judgment, or stories that you've chosen to believe about yourself or others or the world, and can you find a place where there is absolutely no mental chatter and there is only love? Do that tomorrow morning or even tonight. Sit in your stillness with your breath and no distractions and see if you can find that place I'm talking about. RUMI said something like this: "Beyond the field of right and wrong, there is a field. I will meet you there." Do not concern if you don't know what I'm talking about because going on a spiritual journey is not for everyone, it is not for the victims. It is only for the victors because, at the end of the tunnel, you will find something that is so profound, and so loving, that nothing else will matter. You will find God's love. You have to be prepared for the price to be paid to feel and be in the presence and acceptance of God's love because it will not be like anything you ever thought it was, it will only be exactly what it is. Start your journey toward this understanding with our three-part series with my mentor and friend, Paul Chek, and in this three-part series titled All Is God, and you will understand. This three-part series will ripple across the globe as we share one of the most powerful conversations on this podcast to date. Together, we will explore: Some of the most radical and profound wisdom you will ever hear The concepts of relationship and understanding we have of God. The true definition of L.O.V.E [spacer height="20px"] [24:00] Financial We saved something very important for last. It is a fact that we have all signed up to be here on planet earth at this time otherwise we wouldn't be here and part of that agreement is that in order to have a life well lived we must have an understanding and mastery of financial intelligence, and be financially well. I fought this for so many years... I would cast judgment and throw shadow at successful people, and label them as evil and mean I actually used to think a thought just like this: "Money causes pain and rich people take advantage of other people all they care about is money..." I have now successfully replaced that story with a new story and the new story is something that emanates from my pelvis, solar plexus, heart, and throat which I know you're gonna feel in my new story. It sounds like this: "Money is a vehicle that through its movement and acquisition gives energy to people and things I love and care about." Notice how I did not say that I love money... Even though I do love money, but really when I say, I love money I just love the freedom and the opportunities that money brings. There are so many "spiritual gurus" out there who will tell you that you have to master your money mindset, and that you have to do all of these things from a spiritual level in order to gain wealth, which is true and is also not true. Which is a true paradox. And life is a paradox so I will share this with you from my experience, and from specifically the episode, I would love for you to listen to Robert Breedlove's podcast with me at JoshTrent.com/442. Now that you've begun this journey of the five sides of your wellness pentagon, I'm curious, what came up for you? Or what came down for you? Did you start to feel upset with me? Inspired by me more connected to me tell me what you feel right to me admin@wellnessforce@gmail.com. I'm sending you so much love and so much wellness from my heart tears until I get to be with you again every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday every single week I'm wishing you love and wellness. The reason is that they are committed to making the highest quality, clean products that are free from problematic ingredients. Their beef comes from 100% grass fed cows raised entirely on natural grass pastures by family farmers right here in the USA. As a result they are healthy and happy. [spacer height="20px"] PaleoValley's Pasture-Raised Turkey Sticks Paleovalley Pasture-Raised Turkey Sticks were created to make healthy snacking easier. Their turkey sticks are made from turkeys who are allowed to live as nature intended... on organic grass pastures with plenty of sunshine, fresh air and room to exercise. The result of raising turkeys in such a natural way is a much healthier, clean protein with higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and omega-3s. Unfortunately, virtually all turkey in the USA is conventionally raised with a small portion being "free range" – a virtually meaningless term that simply means the turkeys were allowed access to the outdoors. However, most "free range" turkeys only have access to an outdoor dirt field with no pasture in sight. Their truly pasture-raised turkeys are given full access to outdoor, pesticide-free pasture with plenty of grass and insects for them to nibble on.

In this episode of the Revenue Accelerator Podcast, we have invited Samantha Riley. She is a bestselling author, speaker, and host of the Influence by Design podcast. Samantha has judged the Stevie Awards and has built various businesses over the last two decades, including her first seven-figure business. Samantha collaborates with specialists to help people create their enterprises in a way that is indeed linked with living their life by design, Today, she talks about her techniques that are effectively helping clients achieve success in personal and business ventures.Relationships in Life by Design[01:44] The importance of relationships in achieving success cannot be overstated. We have business in our lives all of the time, and we need to be surrounded by the right people; we need an inner circle, collaboration partners, and the same in our personal lives. We need an internal group that is always there for us.The Guest[06:31] Samantha ran a dancing studio for 20 years while running retail establishments and raising three children. Running three different brick-and-mortar enterprises, two of which would operate during the day and one would work at night. She realized she had reached a point where she appeared to have lost everything. The Keep Principle[13:18] The keep notion is broken into four distinct portions, which become apparent when mentally dumping everything onto paper. Knowledge comes first, then skill, experience, and lastly, excitement. These may not appear to be business-related, but they are since they contain multiple stories, metaphors, and lessons.Perfect Timing[15:47] Samantha proposes selecting the optimal period for your company's life cycle, similar to childbirth. While many individuals like to work from the bottom up, she has discovered that this takes significantly longer since you require more structured business training when you have lesser sales.Critical Factors for an Effective Online Course[18:09] For an online course to be highly effective, three elements must be present: Your content or the course component; Your coaching section, which is your Q and A; A community, which may be Facebook groups or workshops.Iteration[21:41] Samantha prefers a monthly recurring income model in which customers come in, and she coaches them through each iteration of the course in real-time. That is the brand-new content that will be included in the course.Live Recordings[24:16] Samantha loves recording live modules for several reasons: Recording on your own and uploading a video does not provide real-time feedback. When people ask questions during the conversation, the information is included in the recordings, which helps the viewer grasp a subject better when they hear it from someone else.Indications for Change[28:08] Feeling stale, depleted, as if your business is a slog, or if you're beginning to dislike your clientele, are indicators that something has to change and change quickly. That means digging inward and determining what you're missing from the business to fill your cup and have an overflow so you can return to giving and serving your clients.Nuggets of Wisdom[30:17] When we are out of equilibrium, our bodies communicate. Pay attention to your body's signals since this will help you get into that "what's going on here?" feeling.https://samanthariley.global/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In this episode of the Revenue Accelerator Podcast, we have invited Geraldine Schmid, she helps business owners grow their business by putting in systems and processes. Here with us today to share the secret behind systems and processes and how they work.Growing the business[01:17]If you want to grow a business while spending more time with your family you need to have systems and processes in place. Most important system to have in your business[02:28]It depends on where you are and what you have in the business. Having a critical number that you can reach within a year, if you reach it will motivate you.[04:15]If you don't have a clear system in place, it can be feeling like you're not moving forward.Critical Factors you should track[4:38]You need to track your critical number; it shows how the business is growing. In this episode, Mike is joined by special guest Paul Gustavson where the topic is perseverance and why it is so important. They talk about Paul's book Breaking Average: The 7 Critical Factors to Team Strong Leadership, where Mike is a contributing author. The book is wrapped around the idea of victory. They discuss how we are all called to break average and be more than we are now. It's team strong leadership, it's breaking average teamwork that makes the dream work. Paul shares how we need to cast a vision, we can't leave that to somebody else. You need vision but it has to be backed up by values. Start with a value inventory. What are your values? Then you can get clear on your vision. If you need help getting clear on those values, you can email Mike at mike@harbourresources.com and he will be glad to guide you through defining your values. Paul shares, "if we want to make an impact if we truly want to add value, that means we've got to be something more than we currently are today." The resistance that we feel is actually an indicator that you're probably heading in the right direction and we got to take that head on the wind that's in our face, move forward, and persevere. We all want victory at the end of the day, and we want sustained victories, not just one-time victories, it's continual impact, we continue to do that. And that's what breaking average is all about Paul Gustavson has a passion for what he calls full spectrum innovation, which is centered on personal, technical, and corporate growth. In 2000, he helped cofound SimVentions, Inc., a technology firm that delivers engineering solutions for today's military. SimVentions is frequently recognized as one of Virginia's Best Places to Work and was named by Inc. Magazine as one of “The 50 Best Places to Work in 2016”. As the CTO, Paul leads in identifying and contributing to the company's capability and influencing the strategic vision. Paul is the author of the recent book Breaking Average and Leaders Press On. Paul is also the co-host of the Breaking Average Podcast. As a leader with an engineering background, he is also an active member of the simulation and virtual reality communities. Paul and his wife Barbara live in Virginia. About SimVentions: SimVentions tagline “Imagine. Create. Explore. Discover.” represents a culture centered on employee ownership, customers, and community.
