Finding CrossFit at 25, Mekenzie Riley spent her time after her swimming career learning CrossFit, competing in the Open, then quarterfinals making her debut to the Games as an individual in 2018. When COVID hit, she had already started to think about motherhood and spent her 2020 season embracing her new role as a mom. She didn't think she would make it to the Games again but in 2021, to her own surprise, she did. Now as a mother of 2, she spoke about the differences in her own journey, her own pelvic floor issues, her mindset about the way she has approached training and that motherhood is just MESSY. Rika Geyser has been a part of Power Monkey and our Camps from very early on. Her list of accomplishments is vast within the rowing and fitness world. She is an Olympian, having competed in Beijing in 2008, she is a CrossFit Games Athlete, and after having rowed at the University of Washington, she was named as part of the "All-Century Team" for womens rowing. Aside from Rika's impressive list of competitive accomplishments, what we find some incredible about her is her coaching approach, and her ability to connect with those that she works with. He primary tenet when coaching is to "First, do no harm". This comes after retiring from years of competition and finding herself with a wrecked body. Cole Sager is a 9x CrossFit Games athlete, one of only a handful of athletes who have qualified for 9 consecutive CrossFit Games. One of CrossFit's most formidable and consistent performers, Cole Sager honed his competitive edge on the gridiron, playing four years at the University of Washington as a running back and special teams player. When his football days were finally behind him in 2013, Sager needed a new type of athletic challenge. A friend suggested he try his hand at CrossFit, and the rest was history. After qualifying for his first Regionals within months of entering the sport, Cole started moving up the ranks as he honed his craft. He won the Northwest Regional in 2014 and has qualified for every Games since, notching Top 10 finishes in 2015 (7th), 2016 (5th), and 2018 (7th). He also reached the podium (3rd overall) at the inaugural Rogue Invitational in 2019.
