Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. This week in Disney News, Shanghai announced the date they'll be opening Zootopia land. Sticking with international parks, over in Tokyo Disneyland, Fantasy Springs will be opening on June 6, 2024. On the high seas, we got some of our first looks at the artwork for the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure cruise ship, and it looks incredible. And some people got a scare with the announcement of the return of the Disney Enchantment fireworks show at after hours events next year. Tomorrow is Halloween, so today we wanted to discuss our favorite ride in Disney World that takes place on Halloween Day, 1939. If you didn't guess it, we're talking about the Hollywood Studios icon: Tower of Terror. This seemingly immortal ride hasn't always been there, so we explain the history, fun facts, and nods to the Twilight Zone throughout the queue. Plus, there were several iterations before the original was built including a murder mystery, which Angela thinks would be fun, but the night-vision goggles might become hazardous during the drops. Check out the book A Magical Half-Century for even more on the Tower of Terror. Submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode. In the 138th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn and Dave are trying to catch their breath from a solid day of announcements and headlines that hit on Tuesday... so they break down ALL the Disney Surprises tossed at us in a single day! First, Dave continues to sing the praise of the Captain America trilogy and Jenn continues to not have seen them, and they dive right into the stories of the day... Tron Lightcycle has an opening date! And a new theory on when Annual Passes may return. Happily Ever After is returning! Disney Enchantment is going away! We compare the two, and discuss Epcot Forever's return, and why Epcot HarmonioUS couldn't get over Stargate and Taco Barges Disneyland moving its Park Hopping times to earlier in the day, and could that -- plus AP holders getting a benefit on park hopping too -- translate to Disney World? The parking is now complimentary again, and why this is a huge deal! And the Disney Dining promo, how it breaks down, and what it all means. Finally, Adventures by Disney River Cruises! Plus, a total rabbit trail on Voyage of the Little Mermaid, what could go in that space, and more randomness as we are known for.

The magic is calling! We “answer the call” to Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary, the World's Most Magical Celebration. We break down everything new as part of the 18-month festivities, which continues through March 2023, as well as what it was like to be at Magic Kingdom for the park's actual 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021. Inspiring everyone to believe in the magic that lives within them, “Disney Enchantment” features characters, moments, and music from cherished films from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. The show's stirring soundtrack is anchored by an emotional original song, “You Are the Magic,” written and performed by multiple GRAMMY® winner Philip Lawrence, whose musical career began as a Disney cast member performing in Walt Disney World shows. Cinderella Castle is aswirl with scenes of wonderment, thanks to state-of-the-art projection technology. Guests set sail across the sea with Moana, soar above the clouds on Aladdin's magic carpet, and more. These projections extend down Main Street, U.S.A., complementing the images of the castle while creating an entirely new immersive and expansive environment for Magic Kingdom. Guests are invited to join dreamers like Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog,” Miguel from Disney and Pixar's “Coco,” Rapunzel from “Tangled” and brothers Ian and Barley from Disney and Pixar's “Onward” as they set out on a journey beyond the ordinary to a magic land filled with adventure, wonder, empowerment, and enchantment. In one spectacular sequence, Joe Gardner from Disney and Pixar's “Soul” brings guests with him into “the zone.” As he plays his piano, shimmering blue and purple lighting extend beyond the castle, transporting guests into a magical realm inspired by the art of Disney Legend Mary Blair. This dream-like space is filled with characters from Disney classics such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Alice in Wonderland” to contemporary tales including “Wreck-It Ralph” and Disney and Pixar's “Luca.” Through it all, these heroes discover they have only to look within themselves to find the power to believe and make dreams come true because the magic lived inside them all along. The journey builds to a crescendo as Tinker Bell takes flight and spreads shimmering gold pixie dust over the park, empowering everyone to believe in themselves and the magic all around them. https://youtu.be/dQ1f_l5u96s

It's not a small thing when a new fireworks show appears at Walt Disney World, and with the 50th Golden Anniversary of Walt Disney World, the Magic Kingdom has a new show in the form of "Disney Enchantment". We talk about the entire experience of seeing the show for the first time on October 1st 2021, of the crowded conditions, and of the show itself. We'll look at its technical merits and importantly, the sound track of the show. We'll compare it to its predecessors, especially "Happily Ever After", and we'll look at its pre-show Beacons of Light. This is the capstone experience for the Magic Kingdom on its 50th anniversary. How does it measure up? You can see videos of both the Beacons of Light show and the fireworks at Disney at Play.
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. This week in Disney News, Disney definitely heard Angela complain about there not being enough new food offerings for the 50th so overnight, they created 150 new food items to serve. Disney also announced MagicBand+, a new magicband for the 50th that has interactive features and lights up! For those of us who couldn't be at the 50th celebration, Disney also streamed Harmonious and Disney Enchantment! And finally, we got our first peaks at the Galactic Starcruiser as well as an opening date! Let's say we're both cautiously optimistic. This week, we power rank the different lands of Disney. In this list, we've included the newer lands developed for Disneyland and Disney World: Pandora, Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, Cars Land, Avengers Campus, and Pixar Pier. We approach ranking them by examining the attractions, food, atmosphere, architecture, and our overall favorite. We definitely were surprised with our results! When you're finished listening, be sure to head on over to our Facebook page, Enchanted Ears, to let us know how you'd rank the lands. Have a magical week! Check us out on Facebook and Youtube or submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode or support us on Patreon.

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. This week in Disney News, we have an update on lines at Rise of the Resistance since it officially switched from having a virtual boarding group to a standby line last week. We're very much looking forward to Disney+ Day on November 12, where we're getting new shows, seasons of shows we love, movies are being released, and we're getting a sneak peak into the future of Star Wars and Marvel! Finally, if you're unable to make it to the 50th anniversary celebration (or you just can't wait), Disney will be live streaming Harmonious and Disney Enchantment at the end of this month! This week, we talk about how Disney's celebrating the 50th anniversary in Disney World! There's a lot of new restaurants, decorations, rides, cavalcades, and the return of some parties that'll help kick off the 50th in style. (And seriously, in style...did you see the characters' new iridescent costumes?!) But, it wouldn't be a celebration of 50 years if we didn't do a little dive into where Disney World started! No way! So, we also discuss the park's origins, how much it would've cost you to get in when it opened, and what is original to the park. When you're finished listening, don't forget to swing on over to our Facebook page, Enchanted Ears, to let us know what you're most excited about when it comes to the upcoming celebration! Have a magical week!
