Tik pred državnim kulturnim praznikom tokrat začenjamo tedenski pregled z napovedjo koncepta večerne državne proslave v ljubljanskem Cankarjevem domu, ki jo režira lanski Prešernov nagrajenec Dragan Živadinov, nadaljujemo pa s petkovo slavnostno otvoritvijo prenovljene Prešernove rojstne hiše v Vrbi na Gorenjskem. Bolj podrobno smo se tokrat lotili dveh razstav, večje, ki jo je v prostorih ljubljanskega Cankarjevega doma pripravil Narodni muzej Slovenije, z naslovom »Čivki iz preteklosti: Slovenska arheologija skozi zvoke, simbole in prve zapisane besede«. Obiskali smo tudi ljubljansko Galerijo Vžigalica, kjer so te dne odprli razstavo z naslovom »Avantgarden 3.0.« akademske slikarke Tanje Vojinović, opozarjamo pa še na izstopajočo razstavo v Ljubljani in posvetovanje o kulturni dediščini. Za zaključni del smo pripravili malce obširnejšo napoved 12 gledaliških predstav lanskega leta, ki jih je selektorica Kaja Novosel izbrala za t.im. »tekmovalni del« letošnjega že 61. Borštnikovega srečanja, ki bo junija v Mariboru.

Zgodovinski roman Dragana Potočnika Morporuk je povit v kvalitetno naslovnico in zavihke Vojka Pogačarja s spremno besedo Boštjana Narata, v kateri urednik besedila zapiše, da je Dragan Potočnik »marsikaj in marsikdo – profesor, zgodovinar, raziskovalec, popotnik, pesnik, strokovnjak in pisatelj …« Avtor pa v lastni spremni besedi izpostavlja, da gre v njegovi pripovedi »za preplet raziskave in domišljije in spoznanja, da brez zgodbe ni spomina…« ter da se je pri pisanju »opiral na ohranjene kronike v turških arhivih«. Besedilu sta dodana slovarček manj znanih pojmov, pretežno iz islamskega besednjaka ter kazalo z naslovljenimi poglavji in natančnimi datumi, izmenično zapisanimi po gregorijanskem in muslimanskem koledarju. Iz teh je razviden čas dogajanja od dveh dni v mesecu marcu do zaključnih v novembru, večinoma pa v avgustu in septembru leta 1532, ko se je stotisočera turška vojska vračala s plenilskih pohodov po takratnih deželah, ob tem pa mimogrede nekaj dni silovito oblegala Morporuk, Marburg, Maribor. Avtorjev drugi roman vsebuje za zgodovinsko epiko značilno prepletanje preteklih dejstev z zgodbami stvarnih in fiktivnih oseb, ki se v skrajnih življenjskih razmerah trudijo najti globlji pomen svojemu in bivanju nasploh. Dragan Potočnik je podobno spajanje intime in zgodovine izpeljeval že v romanesknem prvencu Pesem za Sinin džan (2017); v njem je protagonist v obdobju prehoda iz iranske monarhistične diktature v versko islamsko na dolgih poteh od Esfehana do Afganistana iskal sebe med sufiji in derviši, medtem ko so udarci usode njega in njegove bližnje zadevali med mudžahedini, borci proti ruski okupaciji, in pozneje v vojni med Iranom in Irakom. Med vsem tem si je prisebnost duha ohranjal s pomočjo citatov iz Korana, Biblije, Rumija, Hajama in lastne poezije ter že takrat postavljal v ospredje zanimanja like, ki so jim turbulence zgodovine poganjale in lomile krila človeškosti, skupaj z njihovimi posvečenostmi nečemu svetemu v svetu, ki tega nesmiselno uničuje. Teksturo Morporuka razgrinja poleg zaključnega vsevednega osem prvoosebnih pripovedovalcev, razporejenih med dve nasprotni strani. Vsaka je po svoje glavna v lastni glavi in prostoru, kakor ga doživlja v Istanbulu ali v Mariboru ter njegovi bližnji in daljni okolici. Po količini pojavljanja prednjačita branitelj mesta fiktivni Radovan in operativni poveljnik napadalcev vizir Ibrahim Paša, stvarno zgodovinsko izpričan zaupnik sultana Sulejmana, ter njegov vojaški nasprotnik, prav tako historično dokazljivo obstoječi voditelj odpora, mestni sodnik Krištof. Naslednji lik, izmišljeni mladenič Selim-Jurij, dvakrat spreobrnjen, janičar in kristjan, s svojo kompleksnostjo potrjuje da »roman ne sodi in ne poenostavlja, ampak poskuša razumeti«. Notranja svetova dveh ženskih likov pa sta predstavljena dovolj stvarno, da se lahko izmakneta morebitnim očitkom o romanesknem romantizmu; turška Ajša in marburška Anika sta v svoji psihologiji prepričljivi, ko se prva ukvarja s sultanovim sinom in sooča s povečano pozornostjo Veličastnega, druga pa se mora znajti v ljubezenskih zagatah med zajetim tujcem in domačim prijateljem Marekom. Avtor je v motivu ljubezenskega trikotnika realist, ki sanjarije in zanose svojih književnih oseb uravnoveša s tekom časa. Na družbeni ravni mu je seveda jasno, da je romantizirano nacionalno zgodovinopisje žal krivo za uvodne memorandume v premnoge vojne, zato se ne ukvarja z mitiziranjem tistih septembrskih dni leta 1532 in mogoče tudi zato vstavi odlomek, v katerem derviši ob odhodu izpred Morporuka plešejo z Rumijevimi verzi. In nikjer v romanu ne omenja legendarnega pogumnega, izmišljenega čevljarčka, krojačka, hlapčiča, ki je potopil Turke, tako da je v suhe jarke okoli mestnega obzidja spustil deročo vodo. Poleg tega se je pisatelj že kot nekonvencionalen popotnik z velikansko kilometrino naučil ceniti predvsem človekovo sočutno značajskost in se izogibati, kolikor je to mogoče, samovoljnemu napuhu, napolnjenemu z vsakršnimi ideologijami. Začetni del pripovedi je namenjen predhodnemu zavojevanju turške vojske, ko se Sulejman Veličastni na ogrskih ravnicah odloči, da se obrne od Dunaja in se pred zimo vrne v prestolnico imperija, ob tem pa oblega in uničuje domala vse na svoji poti. Dogajanje znotraj marburškega obzidja med tem poganjajo odnosi med meščani v tesnobnem pričakovanju in pripravah na boj za biti ali ne biti. A ko se spopad začne, vse bobni in se trese in gori, da se zazdi, da morda celo preveč, vendarle so številne eksplozije v tekstu razložljive, ker različni akterji določene iste dogodke pač predstavljajo iz več perspektiv. Dandanes filmi prikazujejo vojaško nasilje z digitalno natančnostjo pošastno fascinantno – vključno z živo dokumentiranimi pogledi, tik pred smrtjo razprtimi v ubijalske drone – in z vsiljivo bombastiko nemalo zaslepljujejo nevidna bistva. Ob prevladujoči potrošnji virtualnosti je zato opisovanje dramatičnega bojevanja zgolj z besedami v literaturi zahtevna naloga. Homer si jo je lahko lajšal z bogovi, Tolstoj reševal z monologi na krvavih poljih, Potočnik pa v svojem romanu podobno doživljanje pripiše mlademu konvertitu Selimu, ko se ta znajde sredi bojišča »kot zamrznjen. Čutil sem, kako me zebe, ne od mraza, temveč od praznine. Bil sem sam med vsemi, ki niso več čutili. In čeprav sem dihal, hodil, gledal, se je v meni nekaj ustavilo. Moje roke so bile umazane od zemlje in krvi. V kotu ust sem okušal pepel. Nisem mogel moliti. V prsih sem čutil le tisti strašni, neizgovorjeni strah, da bom nekoč pozabil, kaj pomeni biti človek. Da bom pozabil glas. Otrokov jok, Dotik materine roke. Besedo, ki jo izgovoriš, ne da bi jo moral. Ta strah je bil hujši od smrti, korak proč od mene …« Krhkosti in ranljivosti si ljudje v boju za preživetje ne morejo privoščiti brez posledic, čeprav sta morporuškim oblegancem hkrati razlog in nadloga za mirno sobivanje, ko živijo razpeti med strahom in pogumom, obupom in upom, uporom in predajo. Pisatelj svoje književne osebe spretno navdaja s širokim obsegom čustev; dobre sreče se nadejajo najbolj na poteh, ki jih vodi hrepenenje po ljubezni, slabe pa se praviloma ukvarjajo s sabo, oblastjo in uničevanjem vsega v dometih obsedenih volj do moči. Stil je prilagojen tempu dogodkov in njihovemu zaporedju v poročevalski maniri, zato ni nenavadno, da se stotina odstavkov začenja z veznikom »ko«. Vsekakor pa je v jeziku zaznavna Potočnikova lirična podstat, iz katere so vzklile njegove pesniške zbirke, zato iz besedila vznikajo lepe metaforične miniature. Na primer nekdo dvigne dlan, kakor bi ustavljal veter, nek mizar dela z rokami, ki so znale oblikovati žalost, vojak se sprašuje, katera roka je zdaj moja; tista, ki drži meč, ali tista, ki sem jo kot otrok pomolil za kruh … Učinkoviti so tudi esejistični prebliski z moralno-etično tematiko, na primer: ali smo še zmožni razlikovati med sovražnikom in človekom, ob tem, da sovraštvo, ki ga gojimo, ni vedno naše lastno. Včasih ga podedujemo. In morda lahko tudi odložimo. In včasih tudi spomin ni en sam, razcepi se na govorice, legende, tišino. In je morda je res treba začeti drugje, kjer ne bi vsak kamen govoril o tem, kar je bilo. Dodana vrednost romana ni le v obujanju pozornosti na pomembno dogajanje v preteklosti Maribora; to uspešno upiranje pred pol tisočletja je bržkone prvo v nizu kljubovalne tradicije mesta, ki se v odločilnih trenutkih ni predalo zavojevalcem. Tako kot se po prvi svetovni vojni ni pustilo priključiti upravi številnejših sosedov in se je v drugi upalo izpostaviti z začetno akcijo proti okupatorjem ter potem z uvodno blokado začeti še oboroženo narodno osamosvajanje. Potočnikov Morporuk je umetnostno besedilo humanista, pisca različnih zvrsti, od strokovnih monografij do avanturističnih potopisov, vseskozi opremljenega s pretanjenim posluhom za ravnovesje med nasprotji kultur in kot takega tudi povezovalca prizadevanj za nujno potrebno človeško sožitje in preživetje. In poleg romanopisca seveda še pesnika, ki mu velja prepustiti zadnje besede v pričujoči recenziji, podkrepljeni s hvalevrednostjo. »In vendar nekaj ostaja. Ne veličina vojske, ne število osvojenih trdnjav, ne dolžina poti, ne glas slave, ki zadoni ob povratku, nič od tega ne ohrani spomina. Ostajajo drobne stvari, ki preživijo: roka na ramenih otroka, zvestoba brez pogojev, pogled brez pričakovanja, čaj ob večeru pod zimzeleno krošnjo … Ko vse mine, ko se imperiji sesedejo vase, ko kamni postanejo ruševina in imena izginejo iz molitev …« Ostane le vprašanje: Kaj je tisto, kar dela človeka resnično velikega?

The iconic character Red Sonja first appeared as a character called Red Sonya of Rogatino by author Robert E. Howard, the creator of Conan. Jasmina Paunović, tužiteljka u penziji, u svojoj poslednjoj epizodi Radar Foruma, ugostila je Dragana Kecmana, dugogodišnjeg policijskog inspektora i nekadašnjeg načelnika UKP, koji je 2022. otišao u penziju - na sopstveni zahtev. Razlog, kako kaže, nije bio pritisak spolja, već spoznaja da sistem u kome je radio više nema ni smisao, ni suštinu. „Nisam mogao više da prihvatim činjenice i dešavanja u Ministarstvu unutrašnjih poslova - instituciji koja bi morala da bude najvažnija u državi. Dođeš na posao, a shvatiš da tvoja funkcija više ništa ne znači. Samo dolaziš i odlaziš, ne pitaš se ni za šta. Postaviš sebi pitanje: čekaj, šta ja to radim? I shvatiš da više ne pripadaš toj instituciji“, govori Kecman i naglašava da na taj način nije bilo moguće preneti znanje ni mlađim kolegama. Tužiteljka Paunović, govoreći u svom iskustvu, povukla je paralelu sa tužilaštvom navodeći da su iskusni i savesni tužioci izolovani od ozbiljnih predmeta i faktički izjednačeni sa pripravnicima. "Time vam stavljaju do znanja da vi više niste dobrodošli u taj kolektiv. Da vi niste neko na koga može da se osloni kako tužilac, tako i institucija, odnosno država." Govoreći o periodu dolaska Dijane Hrkalović u MUP, Kecman ističe da se radi o trenutku kada je institucija izgubila svoj profesionalni refleks i postala hijerarhija straha. Taj period, kaže, bio je najteži u istoriji MUP. „Od 2015. do 2022. godine to je bio najteži period koji je mogao da zadesi policiju. U tom periodu sam imao 25 godina staža, a ljudi koji su komandovali imali su 28 godina života. Očekivao sam starešinu sa iskustvom, sa kojim mogu da razgovaram, da razmenimo stavove, da zajedno rešavamo probleme. After 2008’s aborted Robert Rodriguez helmed version which was to star Rose McGowan, it’s been a long time between drinks for the OG beautiful barbarian. it’s obviously harder to get actors interested in scale mail bikinis in the modern market… it seems you just have to wait long enough and drop the budget enough that eventually someone just says “Screw it, why not?” and thats how we got here… All four of the review team are in for this review, “Occasionally Red Jill”, “Pleasantly Earth-toned Peta”, and “Concerningly Puce Dion”. Prošlo je vreme bežanja, studenti žele ovde da ostanu, pa i ako neki odu, da požele da se vrate u državu koja je po njihovoj meri, priča Dragan Vukićević, direktor IAESME (Nacionalnog odbora za međunarodnu razmenu studenata za stručnu praksu), koji gotovo pola veka radi sa studentima na razmeni i objašnjava koliko je ona važna za mlade ljude, koji žele da se njihovo znanje, veštine i umeće ceni i vrednuje ne samo u stranim zemljama, već i u onoj koja je njihova. U proteklih nekoliko decenija Dragan je obišao 190 zemalja, a seća se onih koje su ostavile najjači utisak na njega su prosveta i obrazovanje u pitanju. „U Japanu samo nastavnici, prosvetni radnici, ne moraju da se klanjaju caru i tamo je najveća čast za muškarca ili ženu, ako stupe u brak sa učiteljem, učiteljicom. U Južnoj Africi, recimo, na ulazu u univerzitet videćete tablu na kojoj je istaknuto, između ostalog, da bez obrazovanja nemamo ništa. Konačno se i kod nas nešto menja po tom pitanju, a promene donose deca, naši mladi, koji više ne žele da beže odavde, već nastoje da ovde sebi stvore državu“, priča Dragan. Uprkos nezainteresovanosti nadležnih, decenijama ova organizacija uspešno funkcioniše. „Državu ne interesuje da učestvuje u nečemu što je ključno za razvoj našeg obrazovanja, nije ih briga. Bavimo se stručnim usavršavanjem naših najboljih studenata, stručnjaka koji jednog dana treba da vode ovo društvo i zemlju. Oni se u najboljim kompanijama uče poslu, odlaze tamo da rade, ali i da se ovde vrate sa tim znanjem. Takođe, u inostranstvu su plaćeni za to što rade na praksi, dok su u Srbiji najčešće volonteri, koje poslodavci iskorišćavaju“, priča gost Mamazanije. U Srbiju su, kaže on, dolazili studenti iz najrazvijenijih zemalja sveta da rade, kako bi naši mladi mogli da odlaze tamo i da steknu kontakte, ostvare saradnju, a ovaj odbor uspevao je da obavlja razmenu i u najtežim vremenima, tokom devedesetih. „Uvek smo, putem saradnje sa kolegama u drugim zemljama, uspevali da se izborimo za studente, da odu negde i da steknu iskustvo u stručnoj praksi i kad vremena nisu bila najbolja za to. I danas su ti ljudi profesori na fakultetima, naši najveći stručnjaci u raznim oblastima, koji podržavaju mlade u njihovoj borbi, čija me je samo istrajnost iznenadila, ali pozitivno“. Studenti su shvatili, da bez obzira što je dobro otići u svet i videti, upoznati druge zemlje, narode, kulture, uvek će tamo negde biti građani drugog reda. „Oni to ne žele, a i zašto bi. Ovim što sada rade pokazuju nam kako treba, uče nas, koji smo stariji, koji nismo razmišljali kad smo zaokruživali imena na onom čuvenom listiću. Ako volite svoju decu, onda kad dođe dan odluke, dobro razmislite koja je ta osoba čije ćete ime da zaokružite, ko je ta osoba koja će im pružiti najbolje obrazovanje i uslove za život dok ne odrastu i ne steknu potpunu samostalnost“, kaže Dragan. Studentima nigde u svetu ne daju da se ujedinjuju jer njihova snaga plaši. „Svetski mediji ne prenose proteste iz Srbije onako kako bismo očekivali, a razlog je strah, da se i kod njih ne bi primio pelcer. Svi su u strahu od snage i borbe mladih ljudi za bolje društvo, za život kakav zaslužuju“, zaključuje Dragan.
