Daði Freyr ist mit seiner Eurovision Band Gagnamagnið ein Fan-Liebling. 2020 war er Top-Favorit, aber auch 2021 sorgt er für mit 10 Years für Good Vibes und einer Liebeserklärung an seine Frau. Ein Sieg in Rotterdam ist aber nicht das Wichtigste, wie er erzählt.In den News berichten wir über die Preparty in Spanien, die komplett auf Youtube lief. Da sind einige schöne Performances aus den (Heim-) Studios der Teilnehmer_innen.Marco und Alkis waren bei der OGAE Austria Preview Party, die ebenfalls online statt fand. Das Lied selbst ist eine Frage an seine Tochter Aurora, die damals gerade einmal ein Jahr alt ist. Der neue Song "Ten Years" ist eine Liebeserklärung an seine Frau Árný Fjóla, die ebenso wie seine Schwester Sigrún die Band mit gegründet hat.Im ofiziellen Video von "Ten Years" kämpfen Daði & Gagnamagnið gegen ein kuscheliges Alien. Ja, ein mal um mit Filous an einem neuen Song zu arbeiten, der wohl demnächst erscheint.Die Fragen am Schluss bringen ein interessantes Ergebnis: Vom  (abgesagten) Song Contest 2020 hat Daði noch immer Montaigne aus Australien mit "Don't Break Me" auf der Playlist.Sein Lieblingssong vom Eurovision Song Contest aller Zeiten ist "Divine" von Sébastien Tellier, mit dem der Franzose 2008 in Belgrad einem sehr viel größerem Publikum bekannt wurde.In der Kleinen Song Contest Geschichte am Schluss verneigt sich Marco vor einer italienischen Legende, die es nie auf die Song Contest Bühne geschafft hat. Mit Tango Italiano wäre Milva fast zum Song Contest gefahren.  Und man kann nie genug über Milva schreiben.

Abgesehen davon, dass man Menschen nicht in Schubladen steckt, würde man bei Johannes Filous ohnehin einen ganzen Schrank brauchen. Der Dresdner ist angehender Arzt, arbeitet in einer Klinik, impft im Impfzentrum Menschen gegen Corona, engagiert sich gesellschaftlich bei der Band Offbeat Cooperative und ist mit dem Twitter-Projekt "Straßengezwitscher" Grimme-Online-Award-Preisträger. Er ist also Mediziner, Reporter und Musiker in einem. Im CoronaCast, dem Podcast von Sächsische.de zur Pandemie, redet Filous über seine vielfältigen Tätigkeitsfelder. Die machen ihn während Corona sowohl zum Sprachrohr dauergestresster Mitarbeiter im Gesundheitswesen als auch zu einem aufmerksamen Beobachter der "Querdenken"-Bewegung. Im Podcast-Gespräch macht Filous auf die sich zuspitzende Lage auf sächsischen Intensivstationen eindringlich aufmerksam. Als Arzt im Studium arbeitet er momentan an einer Dresdner Klinik. "In diesem Haus ist momentan kein Intensivbett frei", sagt er. Wie schnell das flächendeckend zum Problem werde, habe er im Winter erlebt. "Da habe ich selbst auf einer Intensivstation Patienten versorgt." Filous beschreibt, wie aufwendig und kräftezehrend vor allem die pflegerischen Tätigkeiten auf so einer Station sind. "Die Menschen liegen im Koma, auf dem Bauch, werden beatmet und müssen von den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern immer wieder umgelagert werden." Dass sich Intensivpatienten nicht selbst bewegen könnten, sei zwar normal. Dass die Stationen über Wochen voll seien, mache aber den Unterschied. Hinzu kämen menschliche Schicksale, die zusätzlich belasten. Ein Fall hat Filous besonders nachdenklich gestimmt. "Wir hatten ein jüngeres Ehepaar auf der Intensivstation. Der Frau ging es schon bald besser, so dass sie auf Normalstation konnte. Ein paar Tage später kam sie dann wieder zu uns, um sich von ihrem Mann zu verabschieden." Den Weg raus aus der Krise sieht Filous in den Impfungen. Mit dem Start der Impfzentren in Sachsen wurde im Januar medizinisches Personal gesucht, das impfberechtigt ist. "Für mich war klar, dass ich da helfen will. Dann ging es ganz schnell." Inzwischen impft Filous immer dann, wenn es sein Dienstplan erlaubt. Das ist meist an Wochenenden. "Inzwischen habe ich schon 600 Menschen geimpft." Filous erklärt in dem Podcast detailliert die Abläufe in einem Impfzentrum. Und welche Vor- und Nachteile diese großen Einrichtungen im Vergleich zu Hausarztpraxen haben, wo die Corona-Impfung seit Anfang April ebenfalls möglich ist. Er spricht über die verschiedenen Impfstoffe und erklärt, wie Menschen vor dem Pieks optimal aufgeklärt werden sollten. Schließlich geht es auch um Impfverweigerer, Corona-Skeptiker und die "Querdenken"-Bewegung. Filous betont: "Von pauschalen Verurteilungen halte ich wenig." Man sollte nicht jeden, der etwa die rapide Entwicklung der Corona-Impfstoffe hinterfrage, "irgendein Label aufdrücken." Seriöse Aufklärung sei wirksamer. Die Corona-Demonstrationen, bei denen sich gewöhnliche Bedenkenträger mit Rechtsextremen vermischen, hält er jedoch für ein ernstzunehmendes Phänomen. Auf das hat er als Reporter für "Straßengezwitscher" ein Auge. Auch am kommenden Wochenende in Dresden, wo trotz eines Demo-Verbots Versammlungen erwartet werden. Das Podcast-Gespräch wurde über einen Videoanruf aufgezeichnet. Alle am Gespräch beteiligten Personen saßen ausreichend weit voneinander getrennt an verschiedenen Orten.

On tour, he plays the harmonica, piano, acoustic and electric guitar, and even started learning an instrument called the “onde magnetique,” which is cassette taped based. Early on, he played in metal bands, got into jazz, and eventually tested his hand at electronic remixes. His remix for ‘Coming Over’ by James Hersey, has north of 50 million streams on Spotify. In 2010 band member Jason Boesel remarked in an interview that the band was taking break from recording, although they were still working on publishing some unreleased material. Further to this, Boesel also stated they were no further plans to release another album. The following year, Blake Sennett (driving force behind the band along with Jenny Lewis) said in an interview, "I would say that if Rilo Kiley were ... hmmm ... a human being ... hmmm ... he's probably laying on his back in a morgue with a tag on his toe. Now, I see movies where the dead get up and walk. And when they do that, rarely do good things happen." A couple of months after this colourful description of the "corpse" of Rilo Kiley, Sennett was asked if his reference to Rilo Kiley as a "corpse" referred to the fact that Rilo Kiley was now dead. He replied, "I never say never. I loved Rilo Kiley - I loved writing with Jenny. I think she's a great artist and great to write with. I think we're not there yet. Maybe one day we'll dust it off and give it a go; I'd be open to it. I think it was fun - for all of the pitfalls, it was great. I had a great time in Rilo Kiley. I always did." And when they do that, rarely do good things happen. 2014 - Rilo is dead In an interview with the National Post, Jenny Lewis officially announces that the band has broken up. Alex Newell - one of the first transgender characters on television After applying to be in the cast of The Glee Project with over 34,000 other applicants, Alex became the show's first runner up. Alex's self-taped audition had over 1 million MySpace views. Consequently, the panel was so impressed they invited Alex onto two episodes of the show. Alex first appeared as the teenage male-to-female transgender Wade "Unique" Adams. Wade, an outcast and nervous teenager escaped as her brash and much braver alter ego Unique.
