We've seen Xbox games like Grounded and Pentiment come to Switch. Recently, PlayStation games like Patapon and Hot Shots Golf were announced to be coming to Switch. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle llega a PS5 el 17 de abril. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle va a llegar a PS5 con novedades y entusiasmo. Te invitamos a compartir tus comentarios. Obsidian Entertainment har efterhånden et imponerende CV; studiet har stået bag Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth og The Outer Worlds.

"Art is illusion, storytelling, but in their most sublime form, these images illuminate a path to truth."This week, Rick is joined by Nick (Friday Night Gamecast) to begin a critical analysis of Pentiment, a 2022 narrative adventure game from Obsidian Studios. Taking the role of journeyman artist Andreas Mahler, players will navigate the small Bavarian town of Tassing as havoc sweeps the town in the form of murders. A quest to discover who is behind these insidious acts leads to struggles of faith, clashes of class structure, and a reckoning with how history is written - and who writes it. He has also created sound effects for World War II Battleships, and is even currently working with Skywalker Sound. Another mystery to be solved in the ever changing town of Tassing
In today's Daily Fix:Xbox dropped a new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle during yesterda's gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live festivities. But aside from the new gameplay footage, behind-the-scenes peeks, and cool cinematics, the biggest thing to come from that trailer was that it's arriving on PS5 next year. That would make Indy the latest first-party Xbox game to make its way to a competing console following Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded (not to mention Call of Duty). Xbox's Phil Spencer explained the decision in a roundabout way, that basically boils down to those games that they brought to Nintendo Switch and PS5 did really well, and Indiana Jones has a much better chance of selling well if the PS5 gets it, too. Also, Secret Level, a new Prime Video show from Tim Miller and Blur Studio, was revealed and we think we spotted Keanu Reeves in it.
A game episode! We delve into act 1 of Obsidian's masterful point and click adventure game

Video games have come a long way from the pixels of Pong and Pac-Man. From games based on medieval manuscripts like Inkulinati and Pentiment, to hand-drawn wonders such as Cuphead, games have become works of art in themselves. Some even ask the player to create that art. Elle Osili-Wood dusts off her easel and to illustrate the best of them. Elle's guest on the programme has been involved with a number of such titles - "Chicory: A Colorful Tale" and "Ori and the Will o'the Wisps" - she is the go-to woodwind soloists for game and film composers alike: Kristin Naigus.Producer: Barnaby Gordon
The data is starting to roll in as Sea Of Thieves is available for pre-order on PlayStation. Beating out the likes of Star Wars and Dragon's Dogma, this once Xbox exclusive has found itself at the #1 spot for the weekend. While it's initial data, it's the first sign that Xbox's big play just might pay off. Naturally, it opens the familiar can of worms in wondering what will go multi-platform next. We also discuss Todd Howard's seemingly innocent comments on Fallout 5 that, according to Matty, imply much, much more. Plus, another Tekken 8 showdown, celebrating the work of Akira Toriyama, discussing what's going on with Sweet Baby Inc, and so much more! The fallout of Xbox's industry shifting decisions has resulted in many-a-questions. What other Xbox games go multi-platform? What's the long term vision? Is the desire for a wider pool of consumers only going to delay obvious development based decisions that need to be made? Much of our audience here shares in these inquiries and we spend much of this Defining Duke sifting through them all. We also dig into the layoffs that continue to ravage our industry as both PlayStation and EA have entered the fold with impacted teams including the likes of Insomniac and Respawn. It's all that, plus around 30 minutes of Tekken 8 glazing, fight stories, health is wealth endearment, our first Game Pass DODGE Of The Week, and so much more! The dam has broken. After paving the way just last week, Microsoft has confirmed its four games that are coming to PlayStation platforms, and they're arriving a lot sooner than any of us thought. One of them -- Pentiment -- is available on PS4 and PS5 alike right now, while Hi-Fi Rush isn't far behind. Multiplayer titles Grounded and Sea of Thieves will round things out, but certainly, this is just the beginning of the migration, right? Other news this week includes the release date for Elden Ring's long-awaited expansion, percolating PS5 Pro rumors suggesting a fall release, the beginning of Jim Ryan's goodbye tour, PSVR2's PC future, and much more. Listener inquiries help us round things out, as usual. Did Hiroki Totoki successfully diagnose Bungie's issues? Does Sony suffer and Nintendo benefit from a double-standard when it comes to porting and otherwise re-releasing their respective games? Could Resistance: Retribution's reemergence indicate a future for the dormant franchise? Is Brad saying "Colin" wrong on all of his shows? This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Following weeks of rumors and speculation which led to multiple emergency Defining Dukes and even a business update event for Xbox, we finally have all the answers we desired. The games leaving Xbox are Hi Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea Of Theives, and Grounded, two of which were unveiled at a Nintendo Direct, and their arrivals are imminent. Separately, PlayStation has made several illuminating comments themselves such as discussing a more aggressive PC strategy and potentially digging into other platforms. While there's no doubt that Xbox will be the first to commit in a major way to multi-platform, the Dukes are left wondering how long the walled gardens will remain as these business demand more. With that in mind, we discuss how much is enough for these companies and the ominous truth being the "when everyone plays, we all win" strategy that could play out in the next 10-20 years. Plus, a deep dive on Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, inquiries answered on Xbox's sidestepping of physical games, a rumored Mandalorian game, and so much more in a very normal episode of Defining Duke.
