En el transcurso de un enfrentamiento con tropas españolas, el 19 de mayo de 1895, muere José Martí en la provincia de Oriente. Como poeta se le conoce por "Ismaelillo", "Versos libres", "La edad de oro", y "Versos sencillos". Sus "Obras completas", 1963-1965, constan de 25 volúmenes. Fundó una revista para niños, "La Edad de Oro", en la que aparecieron los cuentos "Bebé y el señor Don Pomposo", "Nené traviesa", y "La muñeca negra".

En el pensar de Cristo, la alegría de las festividades de bodas simbolizaba el regocijo de aquel día en que él llevará la Esposa a la casa del Padre, y los redimidos juntamente con el Redentor se sentarán a la cena de las bodas del Cordero. Él dice: "De la manera que el novio se regocija sobre la novia, así tu Dios se regocijará sobre ti". "Ya no serás llamada Dejada... sino que serás llamada mi Deleite... porque Jehová se deleita en ti". "Jehová... gozaráse sobre ti con alegría, callará de amor, se regocijará sobre ti con cantar". Isaías 62:5, 4, Sofonías 3:17. En la sala donde los amigos y parientes se regocijaban, Cristo principió su ministerio público. Con su presencia sancionó el matrimonio, reconociéndolo como institución que él mismo había fundado. Había dispuesto que hombres y mujeres se unieran en el santo lazo del matrimonio, para formar familias cuyos miembros, coronados de honor, fueran reconocidos como miembros de la familia celestial. Cristo honró también las relaciones matrimoniales al hacerlas símbolo de su unión con los redimidos. Él es el Esposo, y la esposa es la iglesia, de la cual, como escogida por él, dice: "Toda tú eres hermosa, amiga mía, y en ti no hay mancha". Cantares 4:7... El vínculo de la familia es el más estrecho, el más tierno y sagrado de la tierra. Estaba destinado a ser una bendición para la humanidad. Y lo es siempre que el pacto matrimonial sea sellado con inteligencia, en el temor de Dios, y con la debida consideración de sus responsabilidades (El ministerio de curación, p. 275). Implantando en el corazón los principios de su Palabra, el Espíritu Santo desarrolla en los hombres los atributos de Dios. La luz de su gloria —su carácter ha de brillar en sus seguidores. Si nosotros no lo hacemos, nadie más lo hará. Creemos que Dios existe, pero vivimos como si todo dependiera de nosotros.  El rey David, quien escribió este salmo, había sido un pastor de ovejas en su juventud. Entendía bien el cuidado y la protección que requerían las ovejas, quienes dependían totalmente del pastor. En este salmo, David reconoció a Dios como su Pastor y se refirió a Él en términos de una relación íntima y personal. Había conocido Su bondad, Su protección y Su fidelidad.  En el Salmo 22 David predijo la vida y la muerte del buen Pastor. Luego, en Juan 10:11, Jesús afirmaría: «Yo soy el buen pastor; el buen pastor su vida da por las ovejas». El buen Pastor sacrificó Su vida por nosotros, Sus ovejas. Es algo asombroso y hermoso. El buen Pastor nos amó tanto que dio Su vida para que nuestras almas fueran satisfechas en Él y para que encontráramos vida solo en Él.  El Salmo 23 es un pasaje refrescante que se escribió para aquellos que han puesto su fe en el buen Pastor. Nada nos faltará. No significa que Él nos dé todo lo que queramos, sino que el creyente encuentra todo lo que necesita en Cristo. Hay un contentamiento en saber que Dios camina con nosotros. Aun cuando andemos «en valle de sombra de muerte», Él no nos dejará. Nos guardará, nos cubrirá y nos protegerá. David no solo se refirió a Dios como su Pastor, sino también como un anfitrión que prepara todo para agradar a Su invitado. Dios suplió cada una de sus necesidades, le trajo paz, y prometió que Su bondad y Su amor siempre lo acompañarían. Por si eso no fuera poco, gozaría de la presencia del Señor para siempre, tanto en sus días en la tierra como después.  Pensamos que todo depende de nosotros. Pensamos que el temor que nos abruma es más grande que nuestro Salvador, Jesucristo. Pero podemos confiar en que hay reposo en Él. Cristo es nuestra fuerza aun cuando nos sentimos débiles. Él usa esos momentos de incertidumbre y temor para que confiemos en el buen Pastor que dio Su vida por nosotros. En vez de enfocarnos en lo que nos rodea, enfoquémonos en el Cristo que camina con nosotros. Él dio Su vida para que disfrutáramos Su salvación, protección y provisión.  Gocémonos en Su presencia para siempre, tanto en nuestros días aquí en la tierra como después.

I've known Audrey for a long time, so it was a pleasure to be able to sit and talk with her about her hobbies and interests. We start by talking about running - a favorite hobby of mine and Audrey. She tells me all about the races she likes to run, running with family, shoe choices, medals, trophies, and why her running nickname should be Audrey Crow. We dive into movies and discuss her viewing habits and favorites. We talk about her interest in theatre, her experiences, and how she deals with stage fright. We chat about some of our favorite books and how we both love audiobooks. Palabra de Dios: “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna. Porque no envió Dios a su Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo por él.” Juan 3:16-17 Perlas: Dios Padre nos ha amado con amor eterno. Eso quiere decir desde siempre y por siempre, y que no ha habido ni un instante de nuestra vida en el que Dios nos haya negado Su amor, porque Él nos amó con amor eterno. Somos amados por Él desde antes de la fundación del mundo, y por supuesto, desde antes de haber sido plantados en el vientre de nuestras madres.  Dios nos ama desde antes que cometiéramos nuestro primer error o alcanzáramos nuestro primer logro. Él nos ama sin condiciones y anhela bendecirnos mucho más allá de lo que le hemos pedido. Él nos ama y quiere lo mejor para nosotros; por esta razón envió a Jesús, Su Hijo y pagó un precio que ni tú ni yo podremos comprender jamás, pero sin duda el más alto de todos… y ¿Para qué? Para alcanzarnos, salvarnos, adoptarnos y sanarnos. Su mayor anhelo es que le creamos y recibamos Su amor, y podamos amarlo a Él y a los demás con ese mismo amor. Si Dios Padre pagó el precio más alto para salvarnos y sanarnos, ¿Qué sentido tiene pensar que quisiera hacernos mal? Si bien es cierto que Él es soberano y muchas veces permite que pasemos por situaciones difíciles y dolorosas, siempre tiene un plan de bendición, siempre está obrando a nuestro favor, aún utiliza lo que el enemigo pretende hacer para destruirnos, y lo torna para bien nuestro y para bendición de muchos. Desechemos las mentiras que el enemigo ha intentado plantar en nuestro corazón con respecto al corazón de Dios y a su buena voluntad. Afirma tu alma y tu corazón en la única fuente de verdad: La Palabra de Dios. Su Palabra dice que Él es bueno y que Su misericordia es para siempre. Oración: Padre amado, hoy desecho de mi mente y de mi corazón toda confusión y toda mentira con respecto a Tu bondad para conmigo. Hoy vuelvo mi mirada a la cruz y veo a Jesús, Tu amado Hijo, herido y sangrante. Lo veo y le recuerdo a mi alma cuánto dolor Él soportó por causa de mí y por amor a mí. El precio ya fue pagado. Jesús, con Su sangre compró un lugar para mí en el cielo, y una vida abundante para mí aquí en la tierra. Hoy reafirmo mi fe en la obra completa de Jesús en la cruz. Me entrego a Ti Señor una vez más. Te recibo en mi corazón una vez más como Señor, Salvador y Sanador, y como Padre y Amigo Fiel. Amén. Reto del día: ¿Entregarías alguna cosa por alguien a quien no amas ni conoces? ¿Entregarías alguna cosa por alguien que no te ama ni te conoce? ¿Entregarías lo más valioso que tienes por alguien que no amas ni conoces? ¿Entregarías lo más valioso que tienes por alguien que ni te conoce, ni mucho menos te ama? Dios Padre entregó lo más valioso que tenía por ti y por mí. Aunque nosotros ni le conocíamos ni le amábamos, él sí nos conocía y nos amaba de manera que no podíamos comprender, y por eso hizo lo que hizo por nosotros. Tenemos un Padre que nos conoce y nos ama. El canto es interpretado por varios grupos.Los versículos 1 al 3 son entonados por la multitud que ya está en el cielo, posiblemente ángeles: "¡Aleluya! Hello En este episodio nos salimos de la rutina y GOCÉ hacerlo... disfruté un montón expresarme desde como soy YO, usando las palabras que uso normalmente y sintiendo que estoy conectando con ustedes como amiga y no como profesional.  Respondí a preguntas de ¨Mely ¿Qué harías tú si______?¨ fueron muchísimas preguntas SUPER variadas en las que les hablé a lo pelón, sin filtro, tal cual como salió de mi corazón. Se cortó al minuto 30 y yo NO ME DI CUENTA, así que ni modo... me faltaron como 130 preguntas y las seguiré respondiendo si así lo desean.  A mi me encantó esta dinámica pero quiero saber qué les pareció a ustedes porque USTEDES mandan y me guían siempre en cada cosita que hago.  Espero lo disfruten mucho Con amor Mely

Today I had a chance to sit down with Alex, a 12th-grade student here at GOC. Alex and I had a great discussion that mainly focused on his passion and talent for gaming, but we also talked about paintball, airsoft, and Alex's automotive classes at Maxwell. Alex is definitely an expert at Call of Duty, and that's a game I have a tiny bit of knowledge about, so we dive deep into strategy, maps, weapons, and the teamwork and communication required to be successful at a complex and fast-paced sport. Alex shares his interest in professional gaming and how he got to his current level. You're definitely going to enjoy our chat.

En el pensar de Cristo, la alegría de las festividades de bodas simbolizaba el regocijo de aquel día en que él llevará la Esposa a la casa del Padre, y los redimidos juntamente con el Redentor se sentarán a la cena de las bodas del Cordero.. . Cuando la visión de las cosas celestiales fue concedida a Juan el apóstol, escribió: "Y oí como la voz de grandes truenos, que decía: Aleluya: porque reinó el Señor nuestro Dios Todopoderoso. Con argumentos irrefutables les presentado su privilegio de llegar a ser hombres y mujeres libres en Cristo, por cuya gracia expiatoria todos los que se entregan plenamente son vestidos con el manto de su justicia. Sostuvo que toda alma que quiere ser salvada debe tener una experiencia genuina y personal en las cosas de Dios. Las fervientes palabras de ruego del apóstol no fueron estériles. El Espíritu Santo obró con gran poder, y muchos cuyos pies habían sido descarriados por caminos extraños, volvieron a su primera fe en el evangelio... El nombre de Dios fue glorificado, y muchos fueron agregados al grupo de creyentes por toda esa región ( Los hechos de los apóstoles, p. 311). Cristo ha sido para estos fieles seguidores un compañero de cada día, un amigo familiar. Han vivido en una estrecha y constante comunión con Dios. Sobre ellos apareció la gloria del Señor. En ellos se ha reflejado la luz del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Jesucristo. Ahora se gozan en los no empañados rayos del resplandor de la gloria del Rey en su majestad. Están preparados para la comunión del cielo, porque tienen el cielo en sus corazones. Con las cabezas levantadas, con los rayos brillantes del Sol de justicia refulgiendo sobre ellos, regocijándose porque su redención está cerca, salen en busca del Esposo. Un poco más, y veremos al Rey en su hermosura. Un poco más, y él enjugará toda lágrima de nuestros ojos... Entonces innumerables voces entonarán el himno: "He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su dios".
