Spécialiste des musiques chaudes et électroniques, l'auteur-compositeur-interprète / DJ / producteur canadien Poirier a un parcours des plus prolifiques où créativité et éclectisme sont au rendez-vous en plus de 25 ans de carrière. Figure emblématique de Montréal, une constante majeure traverse ses albums et performances, celle de bâtir des ponts entre les différentes communautés, langues, époques et cultures. Il compose une musique faite de rencontres qui mélange de façon décomplexée plusieurs styles et époques. Il est gagnant à l'ADISQ du réalisateur de l'année en 2013 en plus d'avoir été nommé dans la longue liste du Prix Polaris (2008) et nommé aux Junos à plusieurs reprises. Il a lancé onze albums et de nombreux EPs avec des labels tels que Ninja Tune et Wonderwheel Recordings en plus de diriger un album de remixes de la légende de la chanson québécoise Robert Charlebois ainsi qu'un EP de remixes pour Ariane Moffatt, Poirier a sorti en 2020 son 11e album, "Soft Power", inspiré par ses séjours à l'étranger et par ses mémorables soirées montréalaises. Tirée de cet album, la chanson "Café Com Leite" avec Flavia Coelho compte plus de 6 millions d'écoutes sur les différentes plateformes d'écoute. En 2021, Poirier sort le EP "Soft Power Remixes" qui clôt la boucle de son album du même nom. Puis en 2022, il récidive avec le EP "Momentum" qui comprend notamment les deux titres phares "Teke Fren" avec Waahli et "Leader" avec Angee Wings. Son 12e album "Quiet Revolution" dont la sortie est prévue pour octobre 2024 façonne une irrésistible ambiance intime et réconfortante où la musique électronique et acoustique se fondent ensemble pour un résultat intemporel. Le premier single "Agua Oro", une collaboration avec Ramon Chicharron est sorti en juin 2024. He's been burning down stages from Boiler Room at SXSW to underground street dance competition “Juste Debout” with a mix of wild style remixes and audacious originals that sound at once alien and familiar, turning even the poppiest of radio hits into breakbeat battle weapons. This approach has won Shash'U a rabid following.   Originally from Montreal – son of Haitian parents – Richard St- Aubin, best known as Shash'U, first saw the light of day in 1983. He was only 9 when he began to play the drums and then turned to electronic music composition in his late adolescence. He would soon thereafter develop a unique signature sound thanks to his mixture of avant-garde hip-hop, funk, r&b and electro acoustics. At the age of twenty and after a few years of practicing various forms of street dance, Shash'U adopted the turntables to become the DJ that we know today. He has since forged a solid reputation in the planet-wide realm of street dance. His musical career began to take shape through his performances as DJ-beat producer for his fellow street dancers, for whom he composes and plays his instrumentals in international competitions. This introduction to the DJ art is what allowed him to make the leap into the world of nightclubs. As of the year 2005, Shash'U – who already possessed a solid DJ reputation – starts building his amazing track record as a composer and songwriter, collaborating with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and electro beat both in Quebec and abroad. A-Trak (CA/USA), Lunice (CA), Kaytranada (CA), Chromeo (CA/USA), James DiSalvio (Bran Van 3000), Youssoupha (FR), Kutmah (UK), Gage (Fr), Gilles Peterson (UK), are some of the artists with whom he teams up. Dabin is a JUNO nominated music producer/instrumentalist from Toronto, now located in Montreal. Having spent his teens learning to play the piano, drums and guitar, Dabin started producing electronic music in 2011. He quickly attracted the attention of Kannibalen Records and released his first tracks on the ever growing independent label only a year later. Now Dabin has increased his exposure by supplementing releases with Seeking Blue, who released his second album, Wild Youth.Dabin has gained millions of plays while refining his musical style into what it is today. His “Two Hearts” LP is the biggest stamp on his journey yet, fully expressing his current creative mind. Through his sonic stories Dabin has touched the souls and sets of producers like Illenium, Don Diablo, Excision, Gramatik and BTSM. MiniCoolBoyz (ITA) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 63 Pt. 3 Bio: Born in 1984, Michele and Raffaele discovered electronic music in the year 2000. Soon after, they began following the Italian nightlife and attending the most important european festivals such as “I Love Techno” in Belgium and “Timewarp” in Germany. During those trips abroad they discovered the magical feeling between Djs and their crowds. Growing up, they started to open up to new sounds, especially the ones created by techno guru Richie Hawtin, aka Plastikman. Michele and Raffaele radically changed their musical tastes: their current style is minimal techno with detroit and tech-house influences. Thanks to their skills and love for music, Michele and Raffaele went on to play at several important clubs in Italy. Michele and Raffaele play their sets with a mix of both traditional and new hardwares, achieving the best sound possible: a drum machine, FX and Traktor Scratch technology, creating a perfect mix between a classical Dj set and a computer-based Live Set. In 2006 a new project came to life: MINICOOLBOYZ Michele and Raffaele began playing back2back, trying to find out new sounds and styles ranging form acid sounds and the hardest grooves. Their career started in various italian clubs and their first tracks immediately received great feedbacks from Italian and international Dj’s, charting at the top of Beatport’s Chart. In October 2008, Richie Hawtin chose one of their remix for his compilation CD “Sounds from Can Elles”, available worldwide with DJ Mag and later released on his Label “Minus” (www.m-nus.com/can_elles): “Varese ist leer” is one of the highlights of the album, its sales peaking on charts all over the world and remaining in the Top Ten most requested Techno songs for a long time. 2009 was a landmark year for MiniCoolBoyz: all the top djs of the techno and tech house world play their tracks, most notably Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Joris Voorn and many others. Beatport brands them “Richie Hawtin’s Prodigies” (www.beatportal.com/feed/item/meet-can-elles-producers-richie-hawtins-prodigies/) Dubfire calls them: “The future stars of electronic music!” and signs two of their tracks to his label Sci+Tec Digital Audio (www.beatportal.com/feed/item/future-stars-of-electronic-music/).
