WVU's last win in Norman came in 1982 quarterback Jeff Hostetler's debut as a Mountaineer. In this episode, the "Guys" analyze the matchup and give their keys to the game. 11-19-2022 Passed Ball Show. John opens up this program by talking about Geno Smith being a backup quarterback succeeding as a starter in the NFL and why it is not a bad thing. He compares Geno to some of the best backup quarterbacks in NFL history such as Earl Morrall, Craig Morton, Steve Young (when he was Joe Montana's backup), Steve Beuerlein (with Dallas), Jeff Hostetler, and Nick Foles. He then laughs at the hypocrisy of the former NFL players complaining on their talk programs about Jeff Saturday becoming the Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Saturday became the HC for the Colts for the same reason the players got jobs as NFL analysts- BECAUSE THEY PLAYED THE FRIGGIN eGAME! The same nepotism they are criticizing Saturday for getting is the same reason they got their jobs. After giving some credit to 2022 NFL Draftees Christian Watson and Treylon Burks, John blasts the draft as possibly being the worst in the history of the league when it comes to the quarterback position. John doubles down on that by stating that five years from now there will be zero (0) starting QB's from this draft class with the likeliness that all nine that were drafted in 2022 will be out of the league. Finally, when NoBody is Listening, John gives a destination for free agent outfielder Brandon Nimmo that would improve that team more than either Toronto or New York.

In an attempt to get back into football we draft a team, this isn't the entire draft but the main picks. We discuss football memories, talk about retiring in a video game and how awesome it would be if Tom Brady could become Tom Ten Rings. If you are into fantasy football hardcore, this episode will probably make you very angry, we seriously have no clue what is going on. Ross wanted to draft Jeff Hostetler, so you've been warned. NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown and Super Bowl champion quarterback Jeff Hostetler achieved amazing success in their sport, and have witnessed the power of God in their personal and professional lives. Tim Brown’s career spanned a record-breaking 17 years in the NFL. His motivation to succeed in life and in football was driven by a desire to reconcile with his father, after a misunderstanding when Tim was only 12 years old drove them apart for years. Tim recalls the life-changing moment with his father that would define his path for over a decade. We welcome back Jeff Hostetler for the continuation of his amazing story. Our guests today have both experienced encouragement from someone who believed in them—their mothers. Our first guest is Jeff Hostetler, a Superbowl champion quarterback who led the New York Giants to their win in Super Bowl XXV some 1 1⁄2 months after the starting quarterback went out for the season with a broken foot. Jeff shares the ups and downs, frustrations and rewards of his football career and celebrates the woman who never stopped reminding him “whose he was,” and that “God had a plan for his life,” --his mom.  Shaunti Feldhahn is a researcher, a speaker and a writer who has studied the effects of rest on the lives of stressed out moms--and women in general. Her new devotional, "Finding Rest: A Woman’s Devotional For Lasting Peace,” guides women in the practice of recharging emotionally, physically and spiritually through finding rest.
