“...I think for me, it's just an expression of creativity, it's an expression of innovation. I think that, like you said, there's almost no choice. When you feel that passionate about something, there is no other option. So, through building this company, I have done it very slowly, very intentionally.” Many founders start with the end goal of building a famous brand and/or a profitable one to sell. Today's guest, Caitlin Cash, Founder of Kinship Milk Tea says it's not about the end game. It's about what she will learn, accomplish, and build during the exciting and challenging journey of starting her own brand. And I think she means it:) Her inspiration for creating Kinship started while teaching English in Thailand. On her way to school, she would stop at 7-Eleven and grab herself a milk tea, something we didn't have here in the States. After returning to Austin and looking for milk tea, she realized there was a need in the market. This episode covers everything from the story behind the name, the rationale behind intentionally slow growth and distribution, and the supportive nature of the CPG community. She also gives fantastic advice for aspiring entrepreneurs like why slow and steady wins the race and how to find creativity through entrepreneurship.

Oliver starts the show by sharing his recent positive experience ingesting psilocybin mushrooms and the emotional crash afterward. Teresa talks about her own psychedelic trips and reasons why she doesn't need drugs anymore. They explore the authenticity of their sober and substance-altered selves, with Teresa preferring her sober self and Oliver leaning towards his substance-induced persona. The conversation shifts a little to the subject of Hollywood toxicity, specifically with the past hit show Lost, which makes the two question the essence of successful work created by flawed individuals. Oliver shares a saying that every filmmaker spends their entire life making one film or working on one idea. The two contemplate their own ideas and explore themes like loneliness and human connection. They also talk about their evolving attitudes towards money, negative influences, and the delicate dynamics of money in relationships. The episode ends with Teresa reflecting on her past romantic experiences with cheaters before she piques Oliver's attention with a cuddling service that she discovered.Teresa lo's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/teresalowriter/Oliver Wong's TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@oliverwongcomedy?lang=enOliver Wong's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oliverwongcomedy/Get Intimate's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/getintimatepodcast/About Sex & Boba PodcastIn Asian culture, it's taboo to talk about sex, but Asian women are the most fetishized and Asian men are the most dismissed in the sexual dating pool. Each week, Oliver and Teresa talk about sex, pop culture, Asian-American issues, and of course, themselves in a funny, honest way. The two Taiwanese-American comedians will bring great shame on their families so that you can learn a lot but still save face.
Teresa and Oliver dive into the buzzworthy topic of ChatGPT, sharing contrasting experiences with it. Teresa has tried using ChatGPT as a therapy session, comparing it with platforms like BetterHelp, and Oliver talks about a friend who turned a script into a book using AI. The two discuss the impact of AI on various aspects of life, like jobs and relationships, but they agree that it cannot replace or replicate true real-life experiences. They also bring up a podcast episode they both heard and lessons they got from it, such as the significance of being out of the home and working on their personal growth. Teresa has been seeking excitement outside of comedy by signing up for Meetups and other live events. Oliver credits Exposure Therapy as one of his reasons to pursue comedy and practice his English skills. Teresa reflects on her motivation to write while Oliver struggles with procrastination but finds an outlook to create through the writing of his autobiography. This causes Oliver to reminisce about his childhood, sports, and facial hair. Teresa recalls her own struggles with her physical appearance growing up. Teresa then talks about shadowing Oliver on one of his adult productions, and Oliver shares a little tidbit about his first time directing porn. Teresa knows what she's worth but is tired of others not seeing it. She questions how affected she is by one of her exes. Oliver gets primitive and compares his sex drive to hunting for food. Teresa takes the fashion edge over Oliver with a fur vest inspired by an eccentric boss from her past. The two then dive into when it's acceptable to bring up sexual preferences to new partners without being judged because Oliver has been exploring being Dominant in bed and is uncomfortable talking about it on a first date. Teresa was once voted #1 hottest on a BDSM app until she was kicked off by haters, and she recounts her time as a Dominatrix kicking and punching men's private parts. The two chat about how they each deal with exes from their past, and Teresa reminisces about being pampered and wishes she could find a sugar daddy. Oliver talks about how the wholesome Disney life is a myth, and the two revisit their chat about Leo DiCaprio's girlfriends. https://blog.priceplow.com/podcast/matt-karich-soul-performance-nutrition-068 At the end of May of 2022, Team PricePlow went live with Matt Karich of Soul Performance Nutrition, a young upstart brand that has a lot of deep-thinking built into its core. Matt explains his background as an engineer, and how he used that not only to formulate his supplements, but to find his contract manufacturer. His process is more intense than most brands magnitudes greater than his size, and it led him to a place where he could formulate incredibly unique supplements that suited his needs while obtaining coveted BSGC Drug-Free Certified status. In this episode of the PricePlow Podcast, we cover this and far more, digging into his first four products: Electrolyte Endurance Powder Essence Active Greens Oasis Midnight Dream Bliss Revitalize Collagen We also have a live taste test of his Milk Tea flavored collagen listed above, which is unlike anything we've ever experienced! All of Soul's formulas lean heavily on natural flavoring, various mushroom and/or adaptogens, NuLiv Science ingredients, and use zero artificial coloring. We even get a great lesson in the different forms of stevia used across his products – not all stevia extracts are the same! Matt's a regular in the PricePlow Discord community, where we encourage you to jump in and share your knowledge and questions. She's also about to publish a health cookbook and she's launching an all Vegan beauty product line.I Part 1 we discuss her crazy story of her and her sister being brought here by a "Coyote" when they were very young, she was 6 years old and her sister was 2. They had to come alone because her parents were already in the United States due to her mother being diagnosed with a terminal illness (brain cancer) and she sought better treatment in the US. She also talks about her first experiences in the US.She remembers the food tasting so differently and being put into an all English speaking class when first came to the US, even though she didn't speak any English. She remembers being asked by the teachers to read out loud in front of the class even though she couldn't speak or read English which traumatized her. She says she didn't feel comfortable with English until 10th grade. However, Eloisa was determined to succeed. Once summer in High School her teacher gave her a huge science text book. Since she already had an affinity for science she made it her goal to read the entire book from front to back and rewrite the book herself chapter by chapter. Because of this one event, it caused her to excel in school and graduate with honors. She pursued Science in college but it wasn't fulfilling so she decided to experiment with other majors. Her parents being hard working Mexican immigrants always taught her "work doesn't need to be enjoyable it just needs to be done." However, she always questioned this and asked herself, "why can't my work be enjoyable?"We discuss how she made a decision that life is short and she wanted to be happy with her work and her life. She was also a natural born writer and writing was the way she had always been able to express herself the best. This writing skill is what allowed her to express herself when she was struggling to communicate in English and it now has helped her write a book and create her own music. We also discuss how she became a robotics instructor and how this career taught her how o run a business. We also talk about how she got into becoming a Tik Tok creator and how she has learned to deal with the fear and anxiety that sometimes comes with putting yourself out there as a content creator on social media platforms. Jho puts it best, "we are all weirdos, we just need to embrace our weirdness." Eloisa also gives tips on how to use Tik Tok and Reels to grow your social media presence.
