Molčimo lahko le, ker govorimo. Molk je hrbtna stran govora. Molčanje ni preprosto nasprotje govora, temveč njegov pogoj, njegovo pribežališče in njegovo zatočišče. Zato molk ni toliko nezmožnost govora, kolikor je zavestna, hotena in smiselna odpoved govora.

Zakaj Evropa molči in zakaj s strani uradnih institucij Evropske unije z izjemo posameznih članov Evropskega parlamenta ni slišati odločne podpore zahtevam po demokratizaciji srbske družbe? Zato trpljenje ni zlo in ni izraz greha. Kdor trpi, ni grešen, niti mu ne primanjkuje vere. Trpljenje ni Božja kazen. Trpijo verujoči in neverujoči, dobri in hudobni. Trpljenje ne nasprotuje ljubezni, ampak jo celo razodeva. Križ razkriva in odgrinja Božjo ljubezen. Bog ne more preslišati stoka trpinov.

Piše Majda Travnik Vode, bereta Aleksander Golja in Lidija Hartman. Vsaka naslednja zbirka pa nato pomeni velik korak k postopnemu izravnavanju specifične teže vsebine in oblike, z jasno razvidnim namenom sinergije in potenciranja umetniškega učinka.

Zato so o njej, zmagovalcih in žrtvah, napisani epi in izpričani miti. This week there was not enough time for us to adequately cover the full breadth and depth of even these topics:As quickly as the horror unfolded at what became the tragedy of WESTFIELD BONDI JUNCTION, so too the TV networks leapt into rolling coverage. Well, most did. The ABC ignored it, and Seven had the horses to finish running (with the latter managing to name the wrong person as the perpetrator). AND THEN they milked it for all it was worth through Sunday and Monday. Nothing like a bit of GRIEF PORN to help people simultaneously remember and forget.Come Monday, Justice Michael Lee delivered his judgement on the BRUCE LEHRMANN v CHANNEL 10/LISA WILKINSON DEFAMATION CASE. Wow. WOW. Molk offered his opinions on the winners and losers were, and the implications of the Justice's findings. The biggest loser? Bruce Lehrmann by a country mile and a hat. After the impassioned conversation on last week's podcast ep, so much has happened even within the corral at 7NEWS SPOTLIGHT. The collateral damage of Seven being dragged into the Lehrmann/10 defo case by former producer Taylor Auerbach is that executive producer MARK LLEWELLYN has terminated his relationship with the Seven Network, and the Network snuck the release out during Justice Lee's reading of his summary judgement. Will the show continue, and how does the 7News brand recover? The best documentary about a family of cartoon dogs has wrapped up...or has it? Speculation around BLUEY and her future continues to swirl, with nothing by spin from the ABC and silence from creators Ludo Studios. The benefit of the 28 minute episode airing Sunday past is that it now holds the title of "highest rating program in VOZ history" (total audience average). SO WHAT NOW?!Another glorious instalment of the TV BINGEBOX rounds us out (upmolks and downmolks aplenty). There's real news about the fate/future of Paramount+/10Paramount that concerns even us! This week it's Rob(erto), Robbo, and Molk lining up to discuss and dissect the week in Australian TV (and attached bits). As Paramount's US boss Bob Bakish looks to be preparing Paramount Global for sale, what will this mean for 10Paramount down under? Is their recent shelving of an array of Australian original series a sign of what is to come, or simply bad timing as they seek to eek out additional revenue from licensing the content elsewhere? The team aren't leaning into a beat up--this is a live situation that will have real impact on everyone who works at Channel 10.The media buyers have said it'll be at least 12 months before they pay any heed to the new VOZ ratings, and we discuss why that might be and the current PR Jedi playbook when it comes to promoting your shows and making sure no matter the metric, everyone's a winner! (NOTE: reach is not a thing; national audience is all we really have to go by now and we should be leaning into that...but state-by-state numbers for shows would be nice.)There's THE GRAMMYS to discuss as they showed everyone how to do it (and saw a bump in their ratings). Trevor Noah smashed it and kept it light and fun for the entire (nearly) four-hour broadcast. Taylor Swift announcing her new album didn't hurt either. Then finally, as the casting for the new series of DANCING WITH THE STARS starts to roll out, does it highlight that the audience are less concerned with the format and more concerned with the controversy surrounding the star? The TV BLACKBOX podcast has returned, and we are full of surprises (or something that starts with 's', anyway).Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tv-blackbox. t's the most fundamental change in OzTAM reporting since it began over twenty years ago...so what does it all mean?!TV Blackbox the podcast is back for 2024 with a special edition from TVBB editors Rob, Kevin, and Molk to discuss the changes for OzTAM reporting that start Monday 29 January 2024.Out with the old, and in with the new - all the old reports (and data!) are gone, expunged from the OzTAM website, in preparation for two new daily VOZ Total TV reports landing at 11:35am, and an additional new weekly report. Also, no more subscription TV data at all (Foxtel will create and deliver their own reporting this year). Is it good for the industry? Is it shifting deckchairs on the televisual Titanic? Can this help return some positivity to an industry already feeling fragmented by changes to audience viewing patterns and having them bounce around between eleventy-seven subscription streaming competitors? So, here's your lowdown on the changes, and our views (for good and for ill) on what they mean for our much-loved Australian TV industry. After attending both the Foxtel and SBS Upfront events on his lonesome, Molk reflects on the announcements - corporate and content - and the general vibe of both events (which were very different - one at night, one in the middle of the day). There's lots to unpack, from Foxtel's launch of Project Magneto--now Hubbl--and their move away from OzTAM ratings, to SBS's opt-out feature for sports betting/alcohol/fast food advertising on SBS On Demand and their Net Zero challenge to the rest of the Aussie media industry. Plus, both have sizeable content slates to discuss that are heavy with Aussie drama, light entertainment, and documentary...and both focused very heavily on their respective streaming solutions. At the SBS event, Molk also spoke with Kathryn Fink (Director of Television) and Aunty Rhoda Roberts AO (Indigenous Elder-in-Residence) about their roles within the organisation and particularly Aunty Rhoda's vision for the Calling Country opener to the event - which she also arranged for Nine's Upfront event.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tv-blackbox. Artist Shahrzad Ghaffari replies to orientalism in the Arts & Crafts Movement, William De Morgan's Arab Hall, and the new contemporary architecture of Leighton House in London, in her Persian poetry-inspired mural paintings. Since reopening in 2022, Leighton House has commissioned contemporary, often SWANA-based artists, to respond to its interiors and collection - particularly, the vivid ceramic tiles collected from Turkey and Greece, Egypt and Syria, which shroud its 18th century Arab Hall. Iranian-born, Canada-based Shahrzad Ghaffari was the first invited to contribute to the museum's redesign. A new exhibition, Journey to Oneness, follows her process to construct the helical staircase which now sits at the House's core – a ‘totem of union', connecting East and West, the historic and the contemporary. The artist details how Islamic patterns and Persian poetry permeates her practice, interests shared with the House's creator, Lord Leighton. Shahrzad describes her movement back to abstract, calligraphic painting after studying graphic design, and why making public art is a physical, constructive act. Plus, she details Iran's contemporary political landscape which informs Lion and Sun (2010), painted in response to the women-led protests which followed the shooting of Neda Agha-Soltan - and its continued resonance amidst global attention on the death of Mahsa Amini. Shahrzad Ghaffari: Journey to Oneness runs at Leighton House in London until 1 October 2023. Leighton House is a finalist for the Art Fund Museum of the Year 2023. General Vibes starts at 1:00 The story looked like it was going to be "Michigan lost this game because Blake Corum and Mike Morris were out and Michigan didn't have the recruiting depth to make up for it." And then Mike Sainristil completely denies a touchdown with a pass break-up. Ohio State said "make JJ beat us." And then he did. Michigan exposed Ohio State to their 3rd down issues. Ohio State's whole offseason was about saying "last year was a fluke." It wasn't. On 3rd and short, Ohio State is sawft. Michigan has always been behind the meta game vs Ohio State. For the first time in a long time, it feels like Michigan is ahead of Ohio State tactically. Michigan can simulate Ohio State's offense in practice, but can Ohio State simulate Michigan's smash mouth run game? The story of Ohio State last year was they had a bad defensive coordinator and Michigan was able to expose their flaws. This year... they still exposed the Ohio State's defense's flaws.  [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Offense vs Ohio State starts at 23:30 Ohio State comes in with a very aggressive defensive approach, so Michigan throws deep to Cornelius Johnson. That same play happened in the Penn State vs Ohio State game. Brian's takes are preserved. Michigan wasn't able to run their go-to offense, but once they hit the deep balls to Cornelius Johnson and Colston Loveland Ohio State had to drop their safeties. THEN Michigan could run their offense. What is a "catchable" ball? JJ had some great decision making, especially on some scrambles and on his touchdown run when Ohio State wasn't set. Olu is Brian's favorite Center, even more than senior Molk. Once again, just a little bit of QB run was able to confuse the defense. Cornelius Johnson's route running was frustrating for much of the year, all is forgiven after this game. They did a lot to set up that RB pass play to Loveland. Colston Loveland is ready now.  3. Defense vs Ohio State starts at 1:03:08 Alex's take on the Ohio State offense from a month ago was on point. Once Ohio State gets to 3rd and short, they are horrible. They don't have a consistent run game that can get 3-ish yards. You can't build a run game off of getting either 12 yards or no yards. There were a lot of plays where Michigan couldn't get to Stroud, but CJ Stroud didn't have anything. If CJ Stroud runs at all it might change Michigan's defensive approach but Stroud won't even scramble. The coverage in this game was incredible. Michigan finally gets turnover luck in The Game and it didn't even really matter. There was maybe one bust? Last year Sainristil caught the flea flicker from Cade, this year he went god mode on defense, so next year he'll be the kicker. Will Johnson has grown up. Ohio State had their heads down in the 4th quarter and Michigan knew "we are going to win." The headbutt was probably the end. McGregor had a great TFL to eventually force a punt. God bless Michael Barrett, he didn't have a huge role in this defense but he sticks it out and he had to learn a whole new role. His progress has been outstanding. There is probably some truth to the idea that these players are completely bought into the program. Michigan is now Stanford with more talent. Rod Moore is not boring but in a good way!  4. Hot Takes and Game Theory starts at 1:43:38 Takes hotter than Ryan Day's hot seat. Brian's hot takes voice has transcended. The biggest bummer from this game might be that if Blake Corum puts up Donovan Edwards' numbers he would win the Heisman. Ryan Day is a coward and a turtle. Several of Ohio State's punts were probably a "go for it" situation. He is a super conservative coach on 4th down decision making. Some of these decisions might be from the fact that Ohio State has never really needed to play in dogfights or from playing down. Stroud was begging to go for it on 4th down after the 1st and 35, they still punted. Ohio State had a fake punt that they could've gotten a huge gain from, but they botched it. MSU and OSU's hate for Michigan finally backfired. Ohio State seemed like they weren't expecting Michigan to fight back like they did. Michigan's clock management before halftime was probably the right move. That was a gutsy 4th and 1 call, all things considered. Would a punt have been better than Moody attempting a 57 yard field goal? Ryan Day turtle'd and Michigan gets it right, is he on the hot seat? If you play offensive line at Michigan, people will know your name. Michigan is recruiting heavily in Ohio now, what happens when you beat Ohio State? Do any of Michigan's coaches leave after this season?  5. Around the Big Ten With Jamie Mac starts at 2:43:24 Jamie gives us his personal takes on The Game. Purdue wins the Big Ten West, somehow. Indiana lost their quarterback on the opening drive. Purdue is a much better matchup for Michigan than Illinois. This year is similar to last year where Michigan dodged a hot Wisconsin team (and Illinois is the new Wisconsin). Northwestern goes 0-11 in North America and 1-0 in Europe. Why is Spencer Petras playing football?? Nebraska wins an improbably(?) game against Iowa. The sins of the Iowa offense caught up with them, Nebraska has a bad defense but the Hawkeyes put up less than 300 yards. Michigan State rushes for 25 yards and fails to gain bowl eligibility - they get rushing rutger'd! Michael Penix is... 5th in the Heisman trophy odds??? Michigan State might be in for another long year next year. Minnesota gets their 3rd win over Wisconsin in five years. Wisconsin gets Luke Fickell as their new head coach!  MUSIC: "New Day Tonight"--Michael Rault "Three Day Loser"--Joy of Cooking "Tek It"--Cafune "King"--Zayde Wølf “Across 110th Street”
