Reality star turned documentary filmmaker Vicky Pattison joins Clare McDonnell to discuss her latest project, Vicky Pattison: My Deepfake Sex Tape. The documentary sees her exploring the proliferation of videos generated by AI whereby people's faces are placed onto pornographic images and shared without their consent. Vicky talks about creating her own deepfake sex tape and looks at the impact the phenomenon is having on women and girls. A rapid review commissioned by the government in response to the Southport attacks has been leaked, including suggestions that the definition of extremism should be widened to include men who are prejudiced against women, along with potentially violent environmentalists, the far left and conspiracy theorists. The BBC has been told Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, doesn't agree with the findings and will order the focus to remain on Islamist and far-right extremism. We're joined by BBC Political correspondent Tom Symonds, author and journalist Joan Smith and and Ian Corbett, Participation, Engagement and Policy Advisor for the Children and Young People's Centre for Justice. Eighties pop legend Kim Wilde joins us to discuss her new album, Closer, her career and embracing her 60s. We discuss football academies and the challenges they present for parents with Rachel Holmes, whose son Pete plays for Cambridge United's U18s team and Jorden Gibson, Academy Manager at Stevenage Football Club.Presenter: Clare McDonnell Producer: Sarah Jane Griffiths Editor: Karen Dalziel

YogaFit has been running for almost a decade in Ibiza. It now also runs across Greece and has found a brand new island home here at the just opened Cala Verde which gazes out across the stunning bay of Es Figueral. The event which was co-founded by our previous podcast guest Lindsay jay and her brother Ken and his wife Antonia has been growing year on year and was sold out this month when we spent a whole week trying different styles of classes, meditation mantra circles, dance, long coastal walks and late night pre bed time Yin. It was pure bliss to be able to stay within the complex, so a huge thank you to the amazing Yoga fit team for hosting me and a few sessions of my music infused flow yoga sessions, Joga Beats. On the episode we hear the story of setting up in the fitness industry more then twenty years ago from Rachel Holmes  - a Fitness Entrepreneur, Group Exercise Class Creator & Fitpro Business Mentor. Rachel was creating her own form of Pilates at a time when fitness was not as popular as it is now and selling out village halls. We hear from co-founder of flow dance meditation,  DJ Nathan Buroughs on how to soundtrack parts of peoples experiences of meditation to add something rather then take something away and create euphoria as well as moments for people to drop out of their heads and into their hearts. Joe Houze joins us to talk about being a yoga therapist and how he discovered a series of techniques to tackle his anxiety and we finish with Quantum Healer and meditation workshops facilitator,  Catherine Monahan, who talks about how we can call in more  abundance - you´re welcome! In this episode, Morag chats to Rachel Holmes about her research to kick off our theme on senses. Rachel Holmes is a practicing artist and writer currently completing her doctorate project The Language of Birds at Kingston School of Art, supervised by Professor Scott Wilson. Influenced by the work of Georges Bataille, Silvia Federici, Eduardo Kohn and Dale Pendell, The Language of Birds is interested in developing a theory of luck or chance, through which the intelligence of the Other (as nature) expresses itself; historically through ritual practice. In this podcast she sets the context for her research by describing the worldview of "living myth" which was demonized during the medieval witch hunt, laying the foundations for transatlantic slavery, modern capitalism and our contemporary state of disenchantment. www.racheladelineholmes.com IG: @jaguar_bird Cover art: "Hazel Grove", textile work by Rachel Holmes referring to a vision-fast undertaken in Donegal, Ireland. --- Episode transcript: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Jn5T_EdDVZWeBmNc-32GdBcU2TBmI0od/view?usp=sharing --- If you would be interested to share your research with us, please do get in touch at technecaster@gmail.com

Lynne Segal and Susie Orbach in conversation Feminist writer and activist, Lynne Segal, discusses her recently published Out of Time: The Pleasures and Perils of Ageing with psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, social critic and writer Susie Orbach - author of many celebrated books, amongst them Bodies and On Eating, and recently co-edited Fifty Shades of Feminism, with Lisa Appignanesi and Rachel Holmes. In her autobiography Making Trouble (2007), Segal described herself as ‘a reluctantly ageing woman', and mused about the need for ‘a feminist sexual politics of ageing'. Out of Time is her answer to these issues. Fears of ageing, Segal argues, are fed to us from childhood in stories and fairy tales full of monstrous, quintessentially female, figures. She confronts the simplistic attributions of generational blame frequently named as causes of the economic crisis, the growing erotic invisibility for ageing women as well as the expectations of gender and ageing that inevitably constrain ambition and political engagement.  Out of Time also examines the representation of ageing in the work of other writers (many of them feminists) including Simone de Beauvoir, Alice Walker, Adrienne Rich, Philip Roth, Diane Athill, Joyce Carol Oates, John Berger, Grace Paley, Jo Brand, Jacques Derrida and John Updike. Beyond Blade Runners and Replicants, there must be a place “Over the Rainbow” for us to exist in solidarity and equanimity. And certainly, the 21st Century hovering above us should be a cause for hope, not despair; yet even with this new century being no way near its quartermark, it's already given us a planet wheezing from ecological crisis-to-crisis, where an untenable economic system of neo-feudalism ravages plants and animals, as well as the rights of those we love (or should love). In the Terror & Twilight of Our Broken Age, what ideology best speaks and acts from a place made from compassion and love? Instead of passively looking at the new century that hangs in the sky, blinking obliquely above us, we should instead reorganize our motions to The North Star of Human Decency, namely that of Anarchy. For this 21st episode of The Future Is A Mixtape, Matt & Jesse will finally come out of the “political closet” and show some raw & real skin: they are both Anarchists Without Adjectives, and they believe that this ideology of love is the only practical solution to the world's byzantine disorders, fraught with confusion, warbling on without a just antidote. In their most personal and revealing podcast since the show's first episode, Jesse & Matt explore their disparate journeys to humanity's greatest romance, Anarchy; they will describe its origin story, its turbulent relationship with authoritarian communists and how this political philosophy is not only the most idealist of ideologies, but also why it's the only one which can ride inside us--whispering out “hope” for a utopian future.
