Investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell and attorney Eric Bland break down the four-day hearing and the stunning moment when Judge Eugene “Bubba” Griffith ruled from the bench that Weldon Boyd does not receive “Stand Your Ground” immunity. The team analyzes Weldon Boyd's day-long testimony, which the judge found not credible. Central to the ruling was the failure to prove a fundamental core argument that destroyed the defense's credibility: the claim that Scott Spivey shot first. The evidence proved less conclusive, and as Eric explains, when it's perceived a defendant lies about the most important detail, nothing else you say can be believed. The judge's memorable words sum up the case: "Foolish behavior does not require you to foolishly act yourself." We're also examining what this ruling means for Attorney General Alan Wilson, who declined to prosecute criminal charges despite applying the same evidentiary standard the judge just used to deny immunity. With the civil case moving forward and questions mounting about potential criminal charges, justice for the Spivey family remains within reach. ☕ Cups Up! ⚖️ Episode References Jennifer Spivey Foley shared Mark Tinsley's public comments on Facebook

Rob Reiner. The man's résumé could get its own standing ovation, but to celebrate his life we hop on tour with This Is Spinal Tap — an impossible film to direct, and yet, somehow he did it. Ninety five percent improvised. No script. Just a loose roadmap, a camera, and a band of deeply committed idiots pretending to be deeply committed idiots. Anyone can say, “Just keep rolling, we'll fix it later.” Rob actually pulled it off. We talk about how you direct chaos without strangling it, how you stage jokes that don't technically exist yet, and why this might be one of the most daring comedy experiments ever captured on film. The songs are real. The egos are familiar. Somewhere between a “bizarre gardening accident” and the reminder that you cannot dust for vomit, the satire becomes uncomfortably accurate. It's a mockumentary so authentic it fooled people into thinking Spinal Tap was a real band, and honestly at this point, they kind of are. If you've ever played in a band, dated someone in a band, or adjusted an amp past what is medically advisable, this one hits. Forty years later, it still goes to eleven. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088258/
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.What does it really take to win the U.S. Investing Championship… and then come back decades later and win it again? In this conversation with Mark Minervini, two-time U.S. Investing Champion and one of the most respected momentum traders in the world, we get into the real stuff. Not theory. Not textbook definitions. The actual mindset and rules that built 155% and 334% championship years. This one feels like sitting at the table with someone who has seen every market cycle and survived all of it.We talk about the mistakes almost every trader makes, including blowing up accounts, holding losers, and letting ego take over. Mark breaks down the turning point in his career, when he made one decision that changed everything: never allowing big losses again. That single shift led to decades of compounding. Here's some of what we cover:✅ Why cutting losses fast is non-negotiable✅ How a 45% to 50% win rate can still create massive returns✅ The 50/80 rule and why former market leaders eventually collapse✅ Selling into strength versus waiting for weakness✅ How to scale up when you are right and scale down when you are wrong✅ Why building failure into your system is actually the edgeThere's also a powerful discussion about competing in the U.S. Investing Championship. The pressure. The psychology. The temptation to get reckless. And why sticking to your lane matters more than trying to swing for the fences. If you trade growth stocks, momentum setups, or use OVTLYR to track precision entries and market cycles, this conversation is going to hit. It is honest, practical, and packed with lessons that can immediately tighten up your risk management and position sizing.Watch it slowly. Rewatch the key parts. We start with Sookie telling Bill to piss off, and storming away from her banana mobile into these hella dangerous Louisiana streets, but her attempt to distance herself from her insufferable boyfriend ends up putting her in the crosshairs of a magical beast that attacks her. Meanwhile, both Tara and Jason worry that they're not where they should be, and Sam shows that he's a bitch.
