In this compelling episode of HEAL with Kelly, I sit down with Dr. Jeffrey Bland, the Father of Functional Medicine, to explore the science of immuno-rejuvenation and the keys to turning back our biological clocks. Welcome to Love Always, Self Podcast! In an episode of "Love Always Self," hosts Shyra and Karista discuss the mundane repetition of daily life and share a story about a teenager's kind gesture that brightened Shyra's day. This leads to a conversation about the impact of small acts and the power of positive intentions. They explore a topic from the Heal Documentary's Instagram about things that should be free but aren't, focusing on the societal norms around work, reward, and the monetization of basic needs like clean water and energy. There's a heated conversation about corruption, the importance of self-growth, and the potential for a world where everyone has access to necessities. TitThey critique the educational system for not teaching essential life skills and fostering a consumerist mindset. The episode concludes with an angel card reading, offering messages of hope, action, and protection, and inviting listeners to reflect on their own life and the power of love and kindness. : Mentions: Guided Meditation: Protection Bubble: Love Always, Self on YouTube The Angel Guide Oracle Deck by Kyle Gray w/Artwork by Jennifer Hawkyard Shop our Amazon Favorites on our website! https://www.lovealwaysself.com/amazon-favorites : Episode Suggestions: Earth School: Lessons for Soul Growth and Universal Connectedness What Is Conscious Consumption? #262 In this episode, Guy and Kelly talked about the significance of self-healing for parents, acknowledging that not everyone has the same resources or opportunities to prioritize self-care. While Kelly has the privilege of having a nanny and other forms of help that allow her to create time for self-care and meditation, she recognizes that people in survival mode and poverty may not have the same opportunities and may be doing the best they can. Nevertheless, she believes that prioritizing self-healing and self-care is crucial for all parents, regardless of their resources, as it can have a positive impact on both the parent and their children. She also acknowledges that being a parent can highlight personal areas for growth and healing, and encourages parents to do the necessary emotional and mental housekeeping to ensure that they are not passing on their unconscious habits and beliefs to their children. Furthermore, Kelly discussed the importance of playfulness and imagination in clarifying and vocalizing personal desires and goals. She suggests that using our imagination can help us get clear on what we want and share it with the people we love who will support our vision. She also recommends vocalizing or writing down our desires to get even clearer. However, she acknowledges that negative beliefs and limiting beliefs can often block us from thinking that we can have what we desire. She suggest identifying these beliefs and overcoming them to move forward towards our goals. About Kelly: Kelly Noonan Gores is the writer, director, and producer of HEAL, a documentary feature about the mind-body connection and our body's innate ability to heal. In 2012 she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. She has a passion for psychology, wellness, and spirituality and an insatiable appetite for understanding consciousness. Her intention with the HEAL platform is to empower people with knowledge about the incredible intelligence and healing ability of the human body, and inspire people to expand their belief about what's possible. Health and wellness has always been important to Kathryn. It doesn't mean she's been perfect at living a clean life. If you follow her, you know she finally gave up alcohol at the beginning of January (again) and sugar is an ongoing battle that she wins most days, but not every day. She's always interested in modalities to help heal, strengthen and balance. When she heard about the Heal Documentary, she had to go see it. She packed up a carload of girlfriends and headed downtown to a local cinema. So, it was serendipitous talking to the Producer, Kelly Noonan Gores, on her podcast about the documentary and having her share various tips and insights that she finds helpful in her own healing. Kathryn's hope is that you hear something in this interview that will help you on your journey to optimum health and wellness! If you discover something in this podcast that you find helpful, please share it and don't forget to subscribe and leave a review! It will help reach more listeners. And you can reach her at ... Heal and create the life you want with Kelly Gores. Documentary filmmaker, Author, and podcast host.
On today's episode we have Director, Writer, and Producer of the Heal Documentary, book and summit, Kelly Noonan Gores. We talk about the kind of things we should allow into our bodies and then the role that stress plays in many people's lives nowadays. Stress is a natural response our body has to deal with dangerous situations, but this state can put people into a vulnerable state where they're more susceptible to disease and other ailments. We all bathe/shower every day to get rid of the gunk we've accumulated the previous 24 hours and our mind is the same way. We need to cleanse ourselves of the dirt in our heads to be in a better mental state. The placebo effect is a real thing where people are taking something that doesn't have any effect on their bodies whatsoever, but because they believe it's going to affect them, their bodies will react as if they were taking the actual thing. Doctors can have a large impact on the patient based on how positive or negative they are with the treatment the patient receives. Getting into the journey of Heal 1:48 Be healthy and enjoy life 10:10 The effects of stress 14:03 Other rituals to stay centered and feel good 22:50 Healing with the mind 28:34 Tips of going through a journey of healing 40:32 Changing diet 43:40 The journey with a baby 49:46 The next project after Heal 56”09 “Get your foundation as clean as you can, but then you gotta enjoy life. You have to have that, I mean it's different for everybody, but if ice cream is your thing, if you have an ice cream cone, don't freak out or stress out about it. Really enjoy it. That enjoyment of that experience that brings you so much pleasure and you do it once in a while, that's not going to have a detrimental effect on your body because it can process that, but you gotta have that 80-90% of the time be really healthy nutrition dense food.” 10:17

#032 - This week's guest is documentary film-maker Melinda Raebyne, who experienced devastating eczema on the top half of her body, which resulted in her skin being so puffy and inflamed that it would ooze fluids for days at a time. She sought help from medical doctors, who diagnosed her with an auto-immune condition and said that she would live with this for the rest of her life. And the treatments they prescribed only aggravated it and made it worse. In this episode, we have a wonderful conversation about how she overcame the eczema not only by following Medical Medium's work, but also through connection with emotional and spiritual practices and why those were important for her. So if you feel like you've hit a plateau or a rough patch in your own journey, this episode is for you. She talks about her myriad of health issues, including extreme acne, multiple pulmonary embolisms at a very young age, debilitating anxiety and depression and then on top of all of this, suddenly developing an inability to swallow. M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community Power Quotes From The Show The Feeling Creates The Healing "As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, "The feeling creates the healing." There is a lot of law of attraction as our thoughts become things and I do 100% believe that we are energy; we are frequency in our thoughts and we are sharing this energetic language with the world or in our bodies based on what we're saying to ourselves. When we combine an elevated emotion; that gratitude or that joy with our thoughts and imagination, we are co-creating our life. The body is a tuning fork and we can change the frequency of our bodies and affect our biochemistry."- Kelly Noonan Gores Finding Your Own Peace & Happiness "Doing the work is working on yourself, finding out how you relate to life, and becoming aware of your belief systems. It really comes down to how we perceive life which again is through our beliefs. Circumstances, people, or situations will come up in life and cause us all of this chaos and stress but that's when we have to change how we perceive or relate everything. It all starts with us and we need to find our peace and happiness regardless of change and that is work." - Kelly Noonan Gores Our Breath Is Our Connection To Spirit "I, myself, have been doing a lot of breathwork in the last year and I think it's some of the most transformational work. Our breath is our connection to spirit. It's inspiration, it's respiration. When we are in fear and stress, we are operating from a disempowering belief system like, "I am not safe," or "I am not good enough, and we hold onto our breath, we are not breathing deeply, so all of our body's natural intelligence, systems, and design are not functioning at max capacity. So, our breath is key to everything." - Kelly Noonan Gores Links From Today's Show Cured Nutrition WFR 300 Special Edition: Top Lessons Learned From 300+ Shows Dr. Joe Dispenza Dr. Bruce Lipton 199 Peter Crone Rob Wergin 295 Sandra Biskind Agape International Spiritual Center Rev. Kelly Noonan Gores is the writer, director, and producer of HEAL, a documentary feature about the mind-body connection and our body’s innate ability to heal. A Los Angeles native, she grew up in front of the camera acting on and off in commercials, TV, and film from the age of 7. In 2012, she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. She has a passion for psychology, wellness, and spirituality and an insatiable appetite for understanding consciousness. As such, she has spent the last 18 years studying the teachings of luminaries like Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Ernest Holmes, Wayne Dyer, Michael Beckwith and many more. Her passion for optimal wellness intensified after reading The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton, PhD and learning that we are not victims of our genes like we have been led to believe. It was around that time in 2008 that she felt a strong calling to do a film about the power and possibility of the mind-body connection. 8 years and many hours of research later, HEAL was made. Her intention with the documentary is to empower people to take control of their health back and demonstrate that almost anything is possible if we believe it is so. Kelly is a seeker, a meditator, and enjoys traveling, sports, reading and writing. What's it take to make a story go viral? Global? To top the charts as word-of-mouth carries your tale far and wide—for days, months, or even years? There's no one formula. But certain things help stack the odds in your favor. Like novelty (a unique idea). Grabbiness (where your reader is instantly pulled in). Brevity (requiring no significant time commitment—at least not to get them hooked). Universality (people see themselves in your story). The urge to merge (large numbers want to share your work, and do!).Chart-topping is something my guests for today's Beautiful Writers Podcast episode know well. Kelly Noonan Gores is the director, writer, and star of the global phenomenon, the HEAL documentary, now out in book form this month. She's joined by Anita Moorjani, who you may know of from her gob-smacking miraculous healing story. (Riddled with cancerous tumors, Anita walked out of the hospital cancer-free following a near-death-experience.) Her New York Times bestselling memoir, Dying To Be Me, inspired millions, including being the impetus for why Kelly finally made the film she'd been dreaming of for nearly a decade. I LOVE this conversation—especially hearing about the magical way in which both women were “discovered” by publishers, just as they were finally feeling ready to be seen and heard in the world, after years of resistance. (Funny how the universe knows our innermost thoughts.) As Kelly points out in HEAL, nearly half of Americans—more than 133 million of us—lives with a chronic disease. Close to 80 million of us have multiple conditions. If you're suffering or love someone who is, I believe these women will make you feel a renewed sense of hopefulness. Hope about the body’s innate ability to heal. Hope about how you were born to have a life you love. And hope about how to follow their lead to create a unique, grabby, universally beloved story of your own. I'm so glad you're here!Linda xoFor more information, go to beautiulwriterspodcast.com
As a teenager, Kelly Noonan Gores had hugely swollen glands on her lymph nodes for a year and tried many different treatments. Nothing worked until a chiropractor suggested she drink apple cider vinegar, and then the glands returned to their normal size in a week. These and other experiences led to Kelly’s keen interest in holistic healing modalities and the making of her documentary, Heal, which is now on Netflix. This week Kelly joins Jordan to talk about how our bodies are more miraculous than we could ever imagine, how the film came to be and the evolution of its success. Heal includes interviews with leading healers such as the Medical Medium, Michael Beckwith, Marianne Williamson and Deepak Chopra. Are you #OnShrooms yet? Writer, director, and producer of the documentary, Heal, Kelly Noonan Gores wants you to know one thing: that humans are designed to heal, and that each of us has the power to help our own bodies and minds to achieve optimal wellness. But, as with anything in the health and wellness world, things quickly become complicated. There's the clash between Western medicine and more holistic routes, the complex and often ignored mind-body connection, and the fuzzy understanding of the role that genes and “inevitability” play in all of it. But Gores believes the truth at the center of it remains the same, and she hopes her film will empower everyone who sees it to tap into their innate power and take back control of their health. We found this interview SO fascinating, listen to learn about the nine common natural things cancer survivors did to heal, how one man healed a terminal illness through laughter, what the placebo effect tells us about the power of the mind over medicine, what our childhood has to do with it all, and so much more.
