In this episode, we sit down with Chad Gracey, founding drummer of the iconic '90s alternative rock band Live. From the explosive success of Throwing Copper to the stories behind the drum kit, Chad opens up about the band's journey, his creative process, and what it was like being part of one of the most defining sounds of a generation. A must-listen for fans of rock history, rhythm, and raw honesty.
On this episode of Vinyl Verdict, Bell, Jamie and Adam listen to Jamie's next pick, Green Day's "Dookie". Released in 1994, it is way up there on the list of the best selling albums of all time. Their major label debut, it came out of the gate strong and was amplified by an absolutely unhinged appearance at Woodstock '94. Critics have said this album marks a turning point in the 90's, moving music away from the grunge sound from the early part, to a more pop-punk sound in the later half. We've already covered four albums that came out in 1994, Live's "Throwing Copper", Weezer's "Blue Album", The Offspring's "Smash" and Nas' "Illmatic", but what will the boys think of this one? Will they be "Having a Blast"? Come along and find out!
Live was one of the most popular bands of the post grunge era. After entering the alternative music scene in 1991 with a spiritual album called Mental Jewelry, they became one of the biggest bands of the mid 90s on the backs of Throwing Copper and Secret Samahdi. They had made it! Four friends from high school who became wealthy rock stars who sold millions of albums and landed on the cover of Rolling Stone. And then they crashed and burned in one of the biggest dumpster fires I have ever read about. Their relevancy faded quickly as the music industry changed. After breaking up in 2009, three members of the band invested in a series of businesses that turned out to be ponzi schemes. They lost $10 million, their instruments, and even the painting that appears on the cover of Throwing Copper. The four original members of the band have sued each other so many times that it is hard to keep track of. How did this band of four guys from the working class town of York Pennsylvania have such a meteoric crash and burn? Tune into this episode of Prisoners of Rock and Roll to find out. Episode Playlist & Other Stuff Check out our episode playlist here. If you want to hear Live's early Public Affection tape, it's on YouTube. Have you ever wondered about the strange and wonderful ways that music intertwines with our personal lives? That's exactly where we find ourselves starting, with a tale of an extreme New York Islanders fan whose antics draw an unexpected line to Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett. Our musical escapade doesn't stop there, as I whisk you away to a nostalgic recount of The Police's electrifying concert at Nassau Coliseum back in '82. You'll feel the buzz of "Message in a Bottle" and the heady sing-alongs to "Roxanne," as Jimmy reveals a personal misheard lyric that's sure to have you chuckling and reassessing your own lyrical faux pas.The Libertines released their first new album in 9 years 'All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade' and it's a good one. While giving my review, the story goes in a direction that will surprise you.The narrative takes a reflective turn as we honor the 30th anniversary of Oasis's breakthrough "Supersonic," capturing the raw spirit that surged through my younger years. Fast forward to a recent encounter with Live's enduring anthem album "Throwing Copper" performed live in Atlanta, and you'll be enveloped in the distinctive sound that challenged the grunge norm. Finally, we bridge the seemingly disparate worlds of Judas Priest's "Invincible Shield" and the folk rock legend Bob Dylan. It's these intricate musical tapestries that prove our shared love for the art transcends genres and decades. Join us as we celebrate our 25th episode, reveling in the transformative journey of stories that keep the music eternally playing in our shoes.

Throwing copper was one of the most played albums of 1994 and 1995. Philosophical lyrics and intriguing themes fill this album that was vastly different from most popular albums of the time. The band Live is kind of an underdog story because of how the record company / MTV treated them and somehow they still managed to put this album together. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/album4theday/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/album4theday/support
This week we're talking about The Offspring, Live, Hole and a bunch of other things including Walkmans vs Discerns (Walkmen vs. Discmen?), SADS, Kurt Cobain and some Trivial Pursuiting.
On this special episode of Vinyl Verdict, Bell, Jamie and Plouffe dive into the topic of records they have bought, but never played. First up is Jamie's pick, Nirvana's "In Utero", released in 1993. It was the last Nirvana album released in Kurt Cobain's lifetime and had two of their most successful singles on it. Second up is Plouffe's pick, Live's "Throwing Copper", released in 1994. This album was a huge success for the band, having four big singles and was one of the most popular albums of 1994. Finally, Bell's pick is The Horrors' "V", released in 2017. This album was released to rave reviews, and is one of their best reviewed albums. But how will the boys rate these unopened treasures? Should they have stayed sealed forever? Come along and find out!

Get ready to climb into the musical memory machine and take a trip back to 1994 as we revisit the music that came out 30 years ago. It was a year that defined our generation when Kurt Cobain took his own life. We got important albums like Purple from Stone Temple Pilots, Superunknown by Soundgarden, Sixteen Stone from Bush, Jar of Flies from Alice in Chains, Throwing Copper from Live, and Vitology from Pearl Jam. REM tried to plug in with Monster while Nirvana went unplugged on MTV. Mariah Carey transformed into a Christmas character, while Green Day and Offspring pushed punk onto the radio. Hootie & Blowfish, the Dave Matthews Band, the Cranberries, and Blues Traveler all entered the scene and helped define the mid 90s alternative sound. Hip hop had a fresh year with albums from Nas, the Beastie Boys, Bone Thugs & Harmony, and a newcomer called Notorious B.I.G. What is there that I could possibly say about this human being? It's a lengthy list, actually, and I know how we're all doing with attention spans these days. And that's fine. I know that -- if you care -- you'll read it, and if you don't, you won't. No big deal.I don't, um, mean to shun any of the previous guests of Badass Records Podcast, because they've all been super-fantastic. They really have.I've had my eye on this particular calendar date, though, and I feel really grateful that this conversation happened and did so with a quote/unquote timeliness as it pertains to the go-live launch date of this project, and that's because the nuts and bolts of this thing involve and require an investment to not only give time, but to be personal and honestish and vulnerable. And when the person you've known longer than most anyone on the planet agrees to sit down with you, you wanna do them right.Relationships are kinda like jobs. You gotta show up, clock in, and put in your 40 per week. At the very least. Or else the job essentially ends, right? And sometimes we take relationships for granted, and sometimes the fact that we've done just that (whether we realize it or not) does an unidentifiable bit of damage to the living, breathing thing that is the relationship. And sometimes we nurture and enable relationships when we probably shouldn't, and that has the potential to be damaging, too.Either way, they're delicate. Like newborns. You gotta support the neck and always have a burp cloth and a spare diaper on hand and don't be late for feedings or sleep, 'cause any one of those things can fuck shit up for the long-term.And I really like this relationship. It doesn't look like it always has, which has been a huge challenge for me to deal with and adjust to, and I haven't necessarily done a bang-up job at that, but I keep trying, and I think that maybe -- whether we know it or not -- that's all we really need from the important people in our lives: that they try.Anyway, this gal is one heck of a daughter. She's a pre-school director. She's a Hollywood fanatic. She's witty and she's organized. She's determined. And she makes one heck of a Mitt Romney video. She picked Crash by the Dave Matthews Band (1996), Everyday by Widespread Panic (1993), Live's 1994 release entitled Throwing Copper (1994), and a little blue number Phish put out that's called Rift (1993). If Yoda were here, he might say, Strong...with the early-to-mid-'90s...is this one.She also did her due diligence (not a Badass Records Podcast requirement, you should know) with her selections, in that she pondered and pondered and made a list and checked it twice. She's thorough like that. And she's epic, too. A can't-miss if you're new to B.R.P. She's amazing. She's a hoot. And she definitely makes my top-three-sister list.Tiffany Johnson, ladies and gentlemen.copyright disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the intro/outro audio clips. They are samples from "Colors." This is a monster, mega-track from Black Pumas's self-titled 2019 release (c/o ATO Records, LLC), and because the inclusion of two 10-second clips of that song that bookend a three-hour, original-content conversation, this episode will probably get a YouTube copyright claim slapped on it, which means that -- were this episode ever to one day be monetizable -- I don't get to have any of that. But whatever. That's not the point here. The point is to have quality conversations with quality human beings about quality music. That's what we do, and that's what we did. As my daughter might say (in signing off on a TikTok video), "So...yeah...."

Welcome to the first episode of Season 4. This episode features the deep cut song T.B.D. by Live from their 1994 album Throwing Copper.
Episode 10, so we are 20% of the way through Season 5 and 2022. The show aired on 10 Mar 2022 on Rebel Rock Radio. It kicked off with what could possibly be one of the greatest show starting songs ever written, a track called 'Invincible', brand new from Eddie Vedder off his Earthling album. It has an incredibly uplifting feel. If I were a movie director I would be pulling it into my movie damn quick. Anyway, that was the start and we followed up with an ode to the post-covid economy in the wake of the Ukrainian disaster called 'All Revved Up With No Place to Go' courtesy of Meatloaf. From there we meandered through some early Queen to two great albums, Sixteen Stone. and Throwing Copper, both released in 1994, by Bush and Live respectively. A highlight was taking in a 60 min blast of energy from Arch Enemy. The track is titled 'The Leader' (Of the Fucking Assholes) and was originally written by a band called Shitlickers out of Gothenburg in the '82 - '84 era. I dedicated it to those who send troops into neighboring countries to kill civilians to fulfill their own worldview. Rory Gallagher and Joe Bonamassa took care of the blues. The Stranglers and Stiff Little Fingers did the same for UK Punk. The SA stuff was handled by Blue Scream and The Burning and towards the end of the show Piet Botha with 'Van Tonder'. The Blue Scream track is special as it features Roger Kaye who passed away in 2013 and was one of the finest musicians I ever met. Roger was at school with me and had a huge influence on my musical journey. You can find out more about him in my book The Story of Rock and Roll which is available on Amazon Kindle and in hard copy. In order to build Roger's legacy, I post any episode of TSORR featuring him to the Roger Kaye Facebook community. We went heavy with Parkway Drive and Arch Enemy and then had a lekker mellow ending which was a bit different and pretty cool. Hope you enjoy it, catch you next episode. PS. For the record, I made a comment that although my German is non-existant I figured that I was pretty certain that Rammstein's 'Fruhling in Paris' meant woman or lady in Paris. Once again certainty is the enemy it means Spring in Paris Artists featured: Eddie Vedder, Meatloaf, Queen, Bush, Live, Kane Roberts, Disturbed, Mastodon, In This Moment, Sons of Liberty, L.A. Guns, Massive Wagons, Arch Enemy, Rammstein, Scorpions, Stone Sour, Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, The Stranglers, Stiff Little Fingers, Billy Bragg, Josh Todd & The Conflict, Sammy Hagar & The Wabo's, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Blue Scream, The Burning, Van Halen, Parkway Drive, Arch Enemy, Neil Young, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Piet Botha. The Edgar Broughton Band, The Killers

Joined by Clamshell Case Files' Quintin Marcelino, things are barely kept on track as Jim enters a Google Maps-inspired fugue state, Patrick imagines visiting Jerry Harrison and being treated to chicken nuggets, and Christopher faces a looming hard exit time as he has a Dungeons and Dragons game to get to on Zoom. Quintin also teaches us what is and what is not hockey music.
Of all the bands to release big albums in 1994, there may be none bigger than Live's sophomore album Throwing Copper. In the studio heavyweights like Jerry Harrison (production), Lou Giordano (engineering), and Tom Lord-Alge (mixing) helmed the album that prepared the band for multiple radio singles, MTV hits, album sales around the globe. It also helped that they leaned into their successful influences, channeling U2, R.E.M., and Pearl Jam without coming across as imitators. Revisiting an album that was everywhere for over a year (it took fifty-two weeks to reach number one, the third-longest ever), digging into the lesser-known album tracks reveals a band that could embrace simplistic fun as easily as dour universalism. The "Snowtown" murders (also known as the bodies in barrels murders) were a series of murders committed by John Bunting, Robert Wagner and James Vlassakis between August 1992 and May 1999, in and around Adelaide, South Australia.John Justin Bunting (b. 4 September 1966 in Inala, Queensland) is an Australian serial killer from Adelaide, South Australia, “currently serving eleven consecutive sentences of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for his role in the murder of 11 victims of the Snowtown murders.Bunting, driven to murder by his hatred for pedophiles and homosexuals, has been described as a skilled manipulator of people and "Australia's worst serial killer".Bunting was the ringleader of a "degenerate sub-culture" of murderers whose victims were people they already knew. Under the instruction of Bunting, the group would prey upon the weak so they could steal their welfare payments. His crimes led to the longest and most expensive investigations and criminal trials in South Australia's history.Bunting lived in Murray Bridge, South Australia from November 1991, living on Lohman Street until he moved to Burdekin Avenue in May 1997 where he remained until September 1998. Two of his victims were found in the backyard of his former home in Waterloo Corner Road, Salisbury North, a northern suburb of Adelaide, with the remaining eight discovered in a vault of a disused bank rented by Bunting and Haydon in Snowtown, South Australia, 140 km north of Adelaide. Bunting insisted on playing the 1994 Live album Throwing Copper during many of his later murders.Resource material Wikipedia Bodies in Barrels: The Snowtown Murders by Jack SmithYoutube documantaries Kitas intro music: Ethereal Wasteland #3Sallys outro music: Ethereal Wasteland #4
It’s true - Gearbuds are Pro Cat. When Hank’s senior gal Sofie decided to hop on the mic, they had to let her do her thing. In this special duocast your buds don’t actually talk cats at all but they do talk gear - specifically hunting down Gibsons with skinny nuts, light vs. heavy guitars, and visualizing with P90s.Also covered: search tips and slutting for hot keys, ruining our chances at having The Stones on the show, Kirk Hammett selling guitars, Zappa, The Pedal Movie dropping everywhere April 30th, the band Live (for some reason), the dawn of Charvel and Jackson, video games (specifically Tetris Effect with Hydelic’s soundtrack), and the new Kemper Kabinet.Throwing Copper is a concept album?

Festival chat with Eddy K (might need to turn up because of background noise) about their tardiness at EpiCenter and only getting to play 3 songs. Plus, Live's then upcoming tour with Bush, Throwing Copper re-release, new music, and more!

Ed Kowalczyk is the lead singer/songwriter of the rock group Live, who at the time of this recording had just released their sixth studio album, Birds of Pray, and whose first single “Heaven” had already topped the Liquid Audio Download charts for digital singles. Live has had a phenomenal success, selling over 20 million albums worldwide, including two #1 albums on the Billboard charts (Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi) and five #1 singles. Ed Kowalczyk is a pioneer in integral art, attempting to bring a spiritual edge to that most raucous of art form—rock and roll. We caught Ed on his cell phone the day before he and the band left for a six-week European tour with Bon Jovi. In this intimate discussion of the heart of a rock and roll (that actually has heart), Eddie talks about how the very essence of an authentic performance is awakening and sharing with the audience a glimpse into that one-ness that is everybody’s natural condition. If you don’t think rock and roll can do this, you haven’t heard Live….

How does a band reach the pinnacle of both commercial and critical success, dominate the airwaves for a handful of years, only to disintegrate into the ether? That’s probably the question that has haunted the members of Līve for two decades now. The band’s second major album, “Throwing Copper,” was omnipresent on both pop and alternative radio. The video for “Lightning Crashes” was an MTV staple. And then? Poof! After some 8 million albums sold (and a couple of moderately successful follow-ups), they were seemingly gone from the radar. (It could have to do with the fact that in this Google/SEO world, the name “Līve” does not render easily on search engines. Shoulda thought that through, boys!) It’s a shame, really. “Throwing Copper” is everything good about quintessential 90s rock, highlighted by singer Ed Kowalczyk’s mystical/nebulous lyrics.
Before he gets into an entertaining interview with one of his favorite all time bands, Fred goes off on a nacho kick. Yeah, he loves nachos and it shows around his belly. After the nacho affair, an incredible interview commences with Ed Kowalczyk, the lead singer for LIVE, who's celebrating 25 years of its hit album "Throwing Copper." Fred confesses to Ed how a LIVE song deeply touched him as a teenager. Then, it was whiskey time, and Ed's a dynamic whiskey fan, who may have snuck a red solo cup on stage from time to time. Ed, a banana fan, gets accurately paired a Jack Daniel's barrel pick and gets the last drops of Fred's Elijah Craig barrel proof. That made Ed happy. After answer a series of food flavor questions, Ed ends up sipping three beautiful bourbons and wanted to take them home. This year, Live is celebrating 25 years since the release of their iconic Throwing Copper album. Lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Ed Kowalczyk, has recently come off Live's Summer world tour, for which the band was joined by Bush and Our Lady Peace. In 2020, the renowned rock band will be travelling to Adelaide for Under the Southern Stars. The line-up is also set to feature Bush and Stone Temple Pilots, as well as Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary. “I think the festival atmosphere of this concert line-up is going to be really cool,” Kowalczyk says. Since reuniting in late 2016, Live has enjoyed a return to touring life, with the original lineup, along with two additional members. “It's nice when you actually get to a city and have a day or two off,” Kowalczyk says. When asked about the reunion, and what it has meant for Live, Kowalczyk is reflective. “The demand for the band has been astronomical since the reunion in 2016,” he says. “I love it. I mean, it never gets old.” Since the reunion, Live has released a new EP, Local 717, and more new music is in the works. “Next year, we're looking forward to, after our trip down under, being able to really move into the studio … we haven't released a full length album for many years, so we're excited to get to work on that,” Kowalczyk comments. During their career, Live has achieved seven Top 5 albums in Australia, three of which topped the charts at #1 for a total of ten weeks. “I get to do my hobby for a living,” says Kowalczyk. Under the Southern Stars will be in Adelaide in Bonython Park on April 13 2020 (Easter Monday). Tickets are available at www.underthesouthernstars.com.au Your host for this episode is Kelly Noble. Do you blame Jim Harbaugh? No I blame Hoobastank. THE SPONSORS We can do this because people support us. You should support them! The Offense starts at 1:00 A few ways Michigan could have won. One would have been to catch the damn ball. Another would have been anything approximating even officiating because OMFG. Three would have been to recruit KJ Hamler. Bubble screens worked: yay. Shea had his best game this year but drops: DPJ had three. Great tradition wmith Herbstreit is when he does the downfield cam and sees nobody open when a lot of people are actually open. Why can't we run a screen? TE blocking problems. Finally they didn't fumble, and they dropped all the balls. 2. The Defense starts at 26:43 Give up 283 yards and more than half of that is on four plays, including the Freiermuth pushoff. Penn State targeted two wide receivers this game. A few bad matchups but seriously they shut them down. Michigan's not Ohio State good, and Ohio State is the only kind of team that can overcome a team as decent as Penn State getting the calls they got. 3. Special Teams/Game Theory starts at 41:52 Three horrible fourth down decisions. Punting on 4th and 1 in plus territory, and your punter is terrible at pinning guys deep! Punt on 4th and 3 in the deep 3rd quarter. Surprised Penn State didn't put Hamler back there for the 58-yard field goal when you don't have Nordin available (they did, then called a timeout). This is the stuff the rest of college football has fixed. Frames called timeout on himself when there's 21 seconds left and he knows he's gonna punt. 4. Around the Big Ten wsg Jamie Mac starts at 56:58 Jamie regretting he left his BPONE comfy chair. Brandon Peters mom dropping bombs on Twitter. Illinois had zero trips into the red zone, Peters is 9/21. Whole Rutger ruined, Rashad Batemen is a dude. New Gopherquests: Minnesota could go 12-0, and Rutgers could be the worst team in the history of the Big Ten. Iowa controls their own destiny in the Big Ten West now. IU's defense has improved. Debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, Purple would establish the Sone Temple Pilots as a superstar group. This second studio album from San Diego-based STP would continue the grunge sound, but would expand a bit into other styles like psychedelia, country, acoustic, alternative, and mainstream rock. Stone Temple Pilots was influenced by Aerosmith, and the band members were fans of Kiss. The band was one of the most commercially successful bands of the 90's. The band was originally known as Mighty Joe Young, but changed the name when another performer laid claim to the name. Get your grunge on as Rob profiles this hit-laden album. “Big Empty” The slide guitar gives this track an interesting mix of country and grunge. This was the first single from the album. It was featured on MTV Unplugged before the album was released. “Vasoline” The second single released from the album was also the second most successful track from the album. The name of the song is attributed to a misheard lyric - "Flies in the vasoline" instead of "Life in the Fast Lane" by the Eagles. The song is about being stuck in a place or situation. “Lounge Fly” The opening riff of this deeper cut was used on MTV's news breaks in the 90's. Interestingly, STP was voted "best new band" by Rolling Stone readers, and "worst new band" by the critics in the same Rolling Stone magazine. “Interstate Love Song” This is THE hit off the album, and what a hit! It was at number 1 for fifteen weeks. It was displaced by “Vasoline” for 2 weeks, keeping Stone Temple Pilots in the number 1 slot for 17 solid weeks. If they sound familiar, the chords are taken from Jim Croce's "I've Got a Name." ENTERTAINMENT TRACK: Theme to "The Lion King" This animated movie from Disney was a huge hit in 1994. Some see strong similarities between this movie and "Kimba the White Lion," a Japanese film from the 60's. STAFF PICKS: “Shakermaker” by Oasis Bruce's staff pick highlights a track off Oasis' debut album. Oasis lost a lawsuit for borrowing "I'd like to teach the world to sing" from the iconic Coca-Cola commercial. Apparently "irony" is not a good legal defense. “Crazy” by Aerosmith Steven Tyler and Aerosmith were superstars in the 90's on the strength of songs and videos like this. Alicia Silverstone featured in a number of Aerosmith videos. This one also featured Steven Tyler's daughter Liv Tyler who would go on to star in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. “Selling the Drama” by Live Wayne's staff pick is the first single off Live's album "Throwing Copper." It is an anti-televangelist song. “Loser” by Beck This loose string song has been described as folk based hip-hop. "I'm a loser, baby, so why don't you kill me?" "And my time is a piece of wax falling on a termite that's choking on the splinters." INSTRUMENTAL TRACK: “Walking at Night” by Boston This instrumental track off Boston's "Walk On" closes us out this week.
9th of May 1999, Snowtown, South AustraliaJamie and David made the trip to Snowtown, where Jamie had organised for them to check out a cheap computer a mate of his was selling. $200 - a deal that was too good to pass up. They arrived in around an hour, parked out the front of the old bank building and wandered inside.David saw the computer and then he saw John Bunting, who he knew. 'This is the computer,’ Bunting said, and a second later, his offsider Wagner had David by the throat, and they handcuffed the terrified young man. They led him into an area that had once been a bank manager’s office, and proceeded to make him handover his wallet, PIN, and recite a number of phrases and words into a recording device.David, shaking like a leaf, turned to his stepbrother and said ‘Jamie, am I going to go home?’‘Yes,’ Jamie said. ‘Do you promise?’ David asked again. ‘I promise,' Jamie said. Then Bunting put on Live’s Throwing Copper album, and a maniacal grin spread across Wagner’s face. David wasn’t going home...Join Shaun and Chloe as they discuss one of Australia's most brutal and notorious series of serial murders. Ed from Live is on Talkin' Rock today. We talk about the 25th anniversary of Throwing Copper and the deluxe version of the album. The year the album broke, they played for tens of thousands at Woodstock 94'. We talk about the early 90's and how it played out for Live, the current tour, getting the band back together and Spinal Tap moments. I also asked him about his solo material and what that meant to him. We talk about new music with the band, his kids watching him play live and his scene from Fight Club. This is the first time I've ever talked with Ed and he couldn't have been greater. Really easy to talk with and some awesome stories. Hope you like this! Mike and Sam finish their discussion on the Christianity(?) of Creed, and follow that by covering Live's landmark second album, "Throwing Copper". Mike geeks out over pretty much the entire thing. Sam humors him (but seemingly agrees that the album is good). If you've forgotten how good this album is, let this episode be a reminder to you.
“Live’s Ed Kowalczyk Plays Laser Tag In The Backyard” Although it’s hard to imagine a guy who radiates intensity onstage playing laser tag in the backyard, Live’s Ed Kowalczyk tells Alex that he’s mellowed out a bit over the years and doesn’t take things as seriously as he used to. That said, Live’s new EP Local 717 is a stunning return to form, filled with the band’s trademark muscle, melody and rock and roll crunch. In this interview Kowalczyk talks about how Live started when everyone in the group was 14, his recent discovery of the Velvet Underground and what plans for a new Live album look like. Live are touring with Our Lady Peace and Bush this summer to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band’s landmark album Throwing Copper.
