We're kicking off the minor threes with OUR favorite, the wands. In the Waite Smith deck, a figure looks over the water to see the ships. And apparently, they have a fanny pack (and jaymi says it's full of snacks). Hilary looks at the card and sees it as a stepping stone moment. Look out to the horizon (big picture) and yet take care of details. Melissa says we can't do this alone. There's teamwork between this figure (Kevin) and the ships in the water. Jaymi says it's time to put the plan into motion and ensure you have enough energy to carry it through. Homework: Make your friendship bracelets. Grab a fanny pack and fill it with your favorite snacks to enjoy by the campfire. We slingers are hungry. Is anyone else hungry for snacks now? Deck's Mentioned Jaymi: Deviant Moon Tarot (mini edition) by Patrick Valenzia, (Link goes to the large, borderless tarot); snacks are chocolate cake donuts or Sea Salt Mochi Rice Bites. Hilary: Mystic Dreamer by Heidi Darras and Barbara Moore; snacks are Yodel's. Melissa: The Sasuraibito Tarot by Stasia Burrington; snacks Little Debbie's Unicorn Cakes. What portion of it is going to self-attributed networks and programmatic? And where do you see that changing in the future? How long do you give a channel before you pull the plug? What's your opinion on retention tactics? What predictions do you have for the mobile marketing industry in 2025?Timestamp:1:30 About Yodel Mobile4:00 The evolution of mobile advertising8:55 AI in creative development12:42 Strategies for diversifying ad spend14:39 When to pull the plug on a channel16:55 Mick's view on retention18:42 A look ahead at 2025Quotes:(5:05-5:27) “Millennials are opening 30-plus apps a day, and it's become an essential part of access to digital information and media support, certainly for that particular target audience; and then the older audiences, like myself, rely very heavily on apps now. On today's show I start the hour off with my implemenentation of subliminals and affirmations. Do they work? I am using this to try to get to Germany, so this may be an option one can use to try to reach their dreams. If you affirm it, you tell the world and yourself that you already have it so in theory it should come true. Then I play a Yodel from an amazing 14 year old Ukrainina girl that further affirms my desire to go to Germany. After the break I talk with Author D. Dina Freidman. She struggled with perfectionism in her life and if she couldn't be perfect she sometimes got frustrated and gave up on it. When she had a chance to sit down and rationalize her situation in 2020 during COVID she found perfection wasn't necessary as it brought her joy. She wrote a book about it and is searching to have it published. She talks to us about her struggles with perfection and gives advice to those (LIKE ME) that struggle with this very thing. Finally I close the show talking about how perfectionism impacted my life even to this day. How I dealt with it and things I think you can do to rationalize your thoughts by setting goals then reevaluate goals.https://emmalynndowd.comSocial Media @emmalynndowd

What is yodeling, anyway? Some consider it singing, some say it's an ululation, and still others consider it merely a means to herd animals. Whatever yodeling is, one thing's clear: Yodeling has been around for thousands of years and shows no signs of disappearing. This hour, we speak with a musicologist, a DJ, and a professional singer about this age-old vocal practice. We trace yodeling's history from its humble, utilitarian roots to its place in modern day pop music and beyond. Posted 6/13/22This week the C.O.W.boys are riding bucking horses, unexpectedly. Along with some fun and lively conversation on the topic, you'll also hear some great music from Dave Stamey (Talking' Bronc Ballet Blues), Corb Lund (Especially a Paint), Riders in the Sky (That's How the Yodel was Born), and Brenn Hill (Too Hurt to Heal). There is also some great cowboy poetry this week from Gary McMahan (Getting in Nature's Way). We'll have the ever popular Dick's Pick (Colorado Trail), Cowpoke Poetry, and a whole bunch of goofin' off too!
