We're continuing to release our classic episodes and this one was certainly an odd one. Poor Rory fell ill one week and couldn't record and so Jamie decided to grab a mic and record thoughts on this strange piece of Resident Evil content that Capcom released alongside limited editions of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X. Shining some light on the actions of the series signature villain Albert Wesker, is there's anything in Wesker's Report that is still worth seeing in 2024? Hosted on Acast. This is First Aid Spray - a Resident Evil podcast by fans, for fans! We dust off the Profile series with a look back at the dark legacy of Resident Evil's biggest baddie, Albert Wesker. Rombie from The Resident Evil Podcast joins us to discuss the ebb and flow of Wesker's characterisation and appearances, from lead antagonist to man in the background, and quiet traitor to laughing megalomaniac. Which performances were our favourite? Will he return? And was his quest for world domination caused by Chris laughing at him? In the news, Resident Evil 4 Remake hits a major sales figure. Our spine-chilling journey continues as we follow our god-king Albert Wesker further down the zombie hole. This episode takes us from the dusty plains of Africa in RE5 before we go all across the globe in RE6. Then, the story gets very sad as we have to let our Albert take his place on the throne above. Our lore discussion continues on though as we cover the rest of the series. We laugh, we cry, and most importantly, we drink. Ethan Winters might be our new favorite! Welcome to the third and final part of our Remake 4 coverage. We've reviewed it, the community have had their say, now it is time to do a deep dive into the various lore changes and additions this remake has brought about. We discuss in depth the changes to the Plaga, the various creatures, and the enhanced personalities and motivations of the characters. Do the changes to Operation Javier really matter, or can the new simply be stitched on top of the old? We also welcome Albert Wesker into the RE Engine era and speculate what the inevitable Separate Ways will have in store. Finally, does canon really matter anymore? Should it ever have mattered? Please enjoy.

Juli. SIMON, COLIN und GREGOR haben die Serie angebinged und verraten euch, ob sie sie enJOYed haben und ob sie eher was für Fans der RESIDENT EVIL Filmen oder der Spiele ist.

The series' main plot is spread out over two points in time – 2022 and 2036, with a gap of some 14 years. The "past" plotline deals with the struggles of 14-year-old fraternal twins Billie and Jade, the children of Dr. Albert Wesker and conceived through suspicious circumstances. Their lives take a dramatic turn when Albert is awarded an executive position at the struggling Umbrella Corporation that once employed him, and they move to Umbrella's planned community, New Raccoon City. While there the two girls stumble onto the dark secrets behind their origins and Umbrella's dark legacy, while their father coordinates a response to the outbreak of a retroviral bioweapon called T-virus.In the "present" of 2036, the T-virus has reduced human civilization to 300 million refugees living in walled city-states and other settlements, surrounded by the six billion "zeroes" who contracted the disease and became roaming gangs of cannibal mutants. The most powerful organization left on Earth is the Umbrella Corporation, backed by its military arsenal, who are conducting a global manhunt for Jade.★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

Our first premiere of the week comes from Bangor born, and now Auckland based, DJ Koncept. The New Zealand based producer has supplied a blissful liquid drum and bass symphony, touching off golden age jungle memories and knitting them with future concepts. Originally from Bangor Co Down, and now based in Auckland NZ, DJ Koncept has been a DJ for around 20 years. He Started off his musical journey with hip hop, and then moved onto producing Drum & Bass, and more recently Breakbeat Hardcore. Koncept veers towards music that is more mellow and melodious, and he's partial to head-nodding breakbeats and pounding bass. Artists like as A Sides and Kool Keith have appeared on DJ Koncept's releases, and Koncept has won many competitive DJ battle's as turntablist. Koncept has clearly not shy'd away from releasing and competing and has has garnered several accolades over the years. Aside from becoming the 2018 UK DMC Champion, he regularly combines turntablism aspects into his live DJ performances and music productions. DJ Koncept has two projects due for release on the well-known labels Kniteforce and Remix Records, as well as co-running two labels with his brother Adam aka Albert Wesker. ‘Vinyl Combat' is the main label the pair run which is now dedicated to DnB, as well as the more recently established ‘Knife Skills' label with a focus on alternative forms of breakbeat music. They're now up to their 17th release with more forthcoming material inbound. Koncept has put together a six minute masterpiece that is soulful and funky yet melodic and euphoric. Vocal swells are met with warm fluffy pads that drift around the mix like a white cloud on a sunny day. Reverb tails and vocal screeches create tension for unique and sublime elated moments. This seems like somewhat of a throwback to late 90's and early 00's jungle jubilant memories but Koncept has managed to carve out an idiosyncratic 2022 interoperation that remains unique yet reflective. #ResidentEvil #FilmReview #Podcast Resident Evil is an action-horror film series based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name by Capcom. German studio Constantin Film bought the rights to adapt the series in January 1998. In 2001, Screen Gems acquired distribution rights and hired Paul W. S. Anderson as writer and director for Resident Evil (2002). Anderson continued as writer and producer for Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), and returned as the director for Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010), Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016). The first six films follow Alice (Milla Jovovich), a character created for the films. Alice is a former security specialist and covert operative who battles the Umbrella Corporation, whose bioweapons have triggered a zombie apocalypse. Characters from the games appear, including Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, Carlos Olivera, Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Barry Burton and antagonists Albert Wesker, the head of Umbrella Corporation, and James Marcus, Umbrella's top virologist. In 2021, a reboot film (the seventh in the film series) was made, titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Despite all the installments receiving generally negative reviews from critics, the Resident Evil film series has grossed $1.2bn to date and became the highest-grossing film series based on a video game in 2012. In this regard the series was overtaken at some point in the mid-2010s by the Pokémon film series, at $1.8bn globally as of 2021. It is also the highest-grossing zombie film series, and was the highest-grossing horror film series as of 2017. This episode sees the team look back at the 20th year anniversary of the original Wesker's Report, a special limited edition DVD that originally accompanied pre-orders of Resident Evil Code Veronica X on the PS2. Narrated in universe by Albert Wesker, we discuss its lasting impact, canonicity, and the subtle updates it has received over the years as well as touching on both Wesker's Report II and Wesker's Extra Report. From there we dissect Jessica's Report, Ada's Report, and finally the Baker Report as we assess how much they add to our enjoyment of the games and how important supplemental materials are to the overall lore. In the news discussion we look at RE4 VR on the Occulus Quest 2 and have a quick preview of the 'Welcome to Raccoon City' live action movie reboot. Our thanks to Moni from residentevildatabase.com for the use of their DC Douglas narrated Wesker's Report 2 clips.

In this special edition of the Let's Talk Resident Evil Podcast, we had the pleasure of interviewing Pablo Kuntz for this episode of the show. You may know him as the OG Albert Wesker from the original Resident Evil! We discuss the process of recording with some behind the scenes discussion around the original voice acting process back in the day as well as what Pablo has been up to with his business over in Japan. As an extra bonus we also talk to his son Lexonal towards the end of the show who is also working on future content for YouTube. This was an amazing opportunity for us and we hope everyone enjoys the show!
This week Devin has kicked Adam out of the pod and Ezra has swooped in to talk a lot about Albert Wesker and maybe Resident Evil at some point.

We're putting a bow on Resident Evil this week with the absolutely abhorrent Final Chapter; a movie so bad that not even Albert Wesker can save it. NEXT WEEK we kick off Cagolta Club with 1976's Carrie!
In this first episode of season 2 of Nick Nack Goes To The Movies, to ring in 2021, I once again wen't back to my roots, with zombie things! With the news of the 2021 Resident Evil movie concluding principal shooting, I though it was time to dive into my bin on DVD's and Blu-Rays to dig out the Paul W.S. Anderson 6 movie Resident Evil Series, to date the most successful video game film adaptation of all time. Now, these are up and down in quality, but for the most part, they are a fun time to turn your brain off and get a little dare I say, Brain Dead! Obviously I am kicking 2021 off with a dumb zombie joke, what better way to ring in the new year with Milla Jovovich, Iain Glen, Ali Larter, and most importantly, even if briefly, Wentworth Miller, that Prison Break episode will be upon on eventually. But for now, let's get cheesy one liners, slo-mo backflips, shooting guns while jumping out of helicopters, and yes, roundhouse kicking zombies in the face. And our first list of the new year, ranking these zombie flicks, as only yours truly can do. So hit me up on social, let me know, at either @NickNackMovies and @NickNack_IC on both Instagram and Twitter. What is your favorite Resi movie, game, or zombie movie overall? The best takes will be shared on next week's episode!
After over a year of waiting, the day of Retribution has finally arrived. Niall and Ryan tackle God's Perfect Film this week, as Paul W.S Anderson and Milla Jovovich's opus, Resident Evil: Retribution is on the docket. Clones, catsuits, and corporations collide in a titanic battle, with only winner, and he's sitting in the Oval Office.

The internet's premier Albert Wesker fancast is here to talk the fourth instalment of God's Perfect Franchise this week, as Alice, Claire and some dead-meats get locked up in LA. Chris is there too, I guess, but what's really important is that Shawn Roberts, the world's greatest actor, has made his grand entrance.

TABLE OF CONTENT TALKING POINTS S2 E7 8/30/2020(Host Scene)Zazz - Welcome to Table of Content. The round table show where we discuss all the happenings around streaming, gaming and entertainment. I am joined as always by Eminent _Stump. How are you? Stump - This week on Streamer Spotlight we sat down with friend of the channel and Variety Streamer Red fox 15. Let's take a look.~Video~(Host scene)Stump - Great getting to know Fox and we are looking forward to having him on the live show again. If YOU would like to be a part of the spotlight or the round table join our discord or send an email to tocpodmail@gmail.com. We also would like to hear any feedback and hate mail you have for us.Zazz - We are joined tonight by returning guests Red_Foxx15 and for the first time ever the DeviantLostMind. Gentlemen how are you tonight?Streaming News Twitch responds to $25m lawsuit about "suggestive" female streamers In June, frequent plaintiff Erik Estavillo filed a lawsuit against Twitch, demanding damages due to claims that the platform had made him suffer through medical problems related to sex addiction, because of the content and algorithms on the site. Specifically, Estavillo listed the names of female Twitch streamers he sought to be permanently banned from the platform, arguing that they violated the platform's own community guidelines. The lawsuit, which was, at points, extremely descriptive, received widespread coverage for its complaints, especially because of the high-figure that was requested in damages. In a response, filed on August 18, Twitch's lawyers have asked for the complaint to be struck under Anti- SLAPP laws. Anti-SLAPP laws are intended to protect businesses and individuals from essentially baseless legal proceedings. Typically, these are suits only intended to be costly or time-wasting for the defendant, rather than actually seeking victory for the plaintiff. Symph - What do you think about this guys claim against Twitch? Cheaters Live Streaming Warzone And Fortnite On Twitch Cheaters, hackers, and players who use different mods to play games are plaguing the gaming scene. From Fortnite to Call of Duty Warzone, these cheaters are everywhere. Recently, we witnessed how they are getting more brazen every day. For instance, some set up their cheat mods while live-streaming! This has led to the entire community vocally striking down on game developers and their anti-cheat policies. Epic Games, Infinity Ward, Riot Games, they are all big names and everyone expects them to encourage fair play. We have seen Esports crack down on cheating as well in recent months. Stump - What position do you think Twitch should take against hacking/cheating if any at all?Gaming News How to watch Elon Musk's Neuralink demo at 6PM ET / 3PM PT Amid the search for a COVID-19 vaccine and launch of a new Mars rover, there is yet another technological breakthrough on its way — at least, according to Elon Musk. Today at 6PM ET, his company Neuralink will demonstrate what may be one of the first “ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.” Apparently, Neuralink is looking to connect to the human brain using flexible electrodes thinner than a human hair. Stump - What sort of implications do you see for this with gaming in the future? TimTheTatman explains why Fall Guys is such a phenomenon The internet rallied around TimTheTatman as the hugely popular Twitch streamer tried and failed, and failed, and failed again to take the crown at the end of a match of Fall Guys last week. When he finally did it, it felt like the whole world had won — a small, strange reprieve in the middle of a stressful summer. It's a really simple and easy game to understand,” he said. “It's three buttons. In Fortnite, there's lots of buttons and stuff happening. Fall Guys is pretty simple. You just jump and dive and try not to fail.” The fact that it's so simple to follow along with makes it “fun and easy to watch” as streamers play. Fall guys is also the most downloaded ps plus game of all time. Symphonic - Where do Fall Guys go from here? How do they keep people engaged?Entertainment News https://www.tableoc.com/2020/08/28/black-panther-star-chadwick-boseman-dies-at-43/ Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known for his starring role in Black Panther, has passed away at 43. He had been fighting a four-year battle with colon cancer. The news was reported by the AP and then confirmed on Boseman's Twitter account, which states that he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016. Over the last four years, it progressed to stage IV. Boseman is best known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having debuted as T'Challa in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. But his credits extend back to the early 2000s, with roles on shows like Law & Order, Third Watch, and CSI: NY. In 2013, he starred as Jackie Robinson in 42, a well-received biopic about the life of the first African American player in Major League Baseball. No real question here, just wanted to pay respects to a great actor. Thoughts and prayers go to his family. Netflix is making an original live-action Resident Evil TV series Netflix has announced a new live-action TV series based on the Capcom's popular Resident Evil series of video games that will be produced by Constantin Film, the same company that made the previous six Resident Evil films starring Milla Jovovich. The upcoming series will feature an original story set within the world of the Resident Evil, set across two timelines. The first will see sisters Jade and Billie Wesker (presumably of some relation to longtime series antagonist Albert Wesker) move to the corporate town of New Raccoon City at age 14, before realizing the destination and their father “may be concealing dark secrets.” Andrew Dabb — who had previously worked as a writer and co-executive producer on Supernatural — will serve as the showrunner, executive producer, and writer for the eight-episode series, with Bronwen Hughes (a director best known for her work on The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul) set to direct the first two episodes of the series. Stump and Symph - are either of you a fan of the series and what do you think about this news?BOLD PREDICTIONS - Brought to you by the Tighe UpIf you would like to enter a topic for a bold prediction or tell me why im wrong email us at tocpodmail@gmail.com.I dont know what the next popular game will be but i can tell you fall guys will fall of the map by the end of the year.Id like to handle this next prediction with a little more respect and decorum. After Chadwick Boseman's sad passing I believe marvel will at some point recast the black panther. I think Marvel will find it important to keep this character present in their future plans and we know they had big plans for him as it was with BP 2 slated for 2022. I dont know when the machines took over but i do know that Elon Musk is going to be accused of “trying to start the matrix” or that he is “trying to become the thought police”. I dont know what the outside world looks like at this point but i can tell you that there will be a spike in agoraphobia cases in the near future as a result of covid. Remember folks right or wrong, and make no mistake about it, I will be right and you wrong, we love you all and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it! Video games have played a key role in the evolution of horror storytelling over the last couple of decades. And if you have fond memories of pre-rendered backgrounds, polygonal zombies, bad controls and even worse voice acting, then this episode RESTLESS DREAMS: 90S SURVIVAL HORROR NOSTALGIA is for you! Cian and Aodh get misty-eyed recalling the highs (and hilarious lows) of the Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Dino Crisis franchises. The 90s and early 00s were something of a boomtime for big-budget, mainstream horror games. But there's much to discuss: what exactly makes a game 'survival horror?' Why did the Resident Evil series become a silly action slugfest? And just where exactly has that sly bastard Albert Wesker gone off to this time? Along the way, find out why whether a psychological take on horror gaming is better than zombies-in-your-face, and why dinosaurs are awesome but endless key unlocking puzzles aren't. So make yourself a Jill sandwich, find yourself a crackly radio, and pray that you're still the master of unlocking. You're about to enter the world of survival horror ... And this is our last escape.
Harry and Rory decide to take their minds off the current viral outbreak, and so, to mark the release of the Resident Evil 3 remake, it's time for another instalment in Paul W. S. Anderson's zombie saga - this time in 3-D! Oh no. Milla Jovovich goes toe-to-toe in Tokyo with Albert Wesker and attempts a prison break in LA in search of survivors. But does this soft reboot of the franchise breathe fresh life into Alice's adventures? There's also a little update on the podcast going forward, so stick around to the end! Content Advisory: Please note although we address the global pandemic up top, we avoid as much as possible making light of the situation. Ultimately, we hope that this episode is simply a fun look at a silly movie. This podcast contains SPOILERS for Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010). In this “Done Quick” we talk about Resident Evil. Want to know all about this game but don’t want to put 20 hours into playing it? Then listen here and be ready to be the expert tomorrow! The Top 5 Trivia: Resident Evil’s Japanese name is Biohazard. It had to be changed for American release because of a band with the same name. The Japanese version used the English dub even though Capcom recorded a Japanese version. This was, ironically, because Capcom thought the Japanese dub was too horrible. Funny enough the English dub is considered some of the worst in video game history. Albert Wesker is the only Resident Evil character that appears or is mentioned in every Resident Evil game except for the spinoffs. He is pretty much the catalyst for the whole series. In Resident Evil 0 he appears in certain cutscenes. In Resident Evil 2 & 3 the player can find his desk in the S.T.A.R.S’ office. If examined the player will say that it belongs to Wesker, leader of the S.T.A.R.S unit. In Resident Evil 4 he is mentioned by Ada Wong and seen on a small monitor. In Code Veronica he plays a vital role in the storyline, appearing in certain key moments. In Resident Evil 5 he is the main antagonist. In Resident Evil 6 he is mentioned by Chris Redfield when Chris is talking to Jake, Wesker’s son. Although the genre was not entirely new, this was the first game to use and coin the term “survival horror”. The canon ending can not be achieved in the game. The best ending for both scenarios has only three characters surviving (Jill, Chris and Barry or Jill, Chris and Rebecca). The characters Jill, Chris, Barry have all appeared in at least one video game taking place after the events of the original Resident Evil videogame. Rebecca returned alongside Chris in the Capcom produced CGI animated feature film Resident Evil Vendetta which is part of the main canon. The “Done REALLY Quick”: A man and a woman enter a spooky mansion, play with some animals and homeless people, set the bitch on fire and get the hell out of there, but with zombies.

Resident Evil Lore continues! Mike, known for his role as Albert Wesker on the Assist Me web series sticks around to get balls deep into the history, production, and lore of one of our most beloved franchises. Today we talk Raccoon City. This encompasses several games, so we could talk about it for hours, but we do our best to get you the details and some of our favorite fun tidbits. Sit back, and get comfortable. We're gonna have a four way with your ear holes, zombie-files!
This week, we return to the world of survival horror with the recently re-released 2002 prequel, Resident Evil Zero! Have you ever wondered what happened the night BEFORE that fateful night in the Spencer Mansion? Well, good news! Rebecca Chambers returns and her journey from the crashed Bravo Team helicopter to the dreaded Spencer Mansion was far more complex and dangerous than previously thought. Rebecca, assisted by an escaped convict with a heart of gold(?), must brave a legion of undead ghouls and grotesque leeches as she ventures through a spooky train, a second spooky mansion in the forest, subterranean laboratories, and also...a sewer. All the while, the dark past of the Umbrella Corporation unravels around her. Special cameo appearance by everyone's favorite traitorous cad, Albert Wesker!
Another experimental episode this one with an entire discussion dedicated to the enigmatic Ada Wong, charting her journey across the whole series from her first mention in a file in Remake to her destruction of Carla Radames' laboratory in Resident Evil 6. News discussion includes the official announcement of Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster due for release early next year and the English release of Marhawa Desire Volume 5; finally bringing the curtain down on this seemingly never-ending manga series. We then have a small sub-discussion on Separate Ways; the original PS2-exclusive unlockable campaign for Resident Evil 4. We offer opinion on whether it fixed the storyline for that game and speculate about who her true employers of the mysterious 'Organisation' really are.The main discussion then looks at Ada's character and the impact she has had across the series. Following the death of Albert Wesker she has now been elevated to one of the key players in the entire saga. We go back right to the very start when she worked for Derek Simmons in her early days as a spy before joining Umbrella's rival company, infiltrating the Arklay Lab and getting close to John Clemens. Her relationship with Leon is explored in Resident Evil 2 and of course her fractured partnership with Wesker is finally exposed in the climax of Resident Evil 4. Her appearances in Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil 6 are also reviewed as we try to shed light on what her ultimate motivations may be. And no, we still don't have a clue.
Originally recorded just weeks after the game's initial release in October 2012, this episode features a fully comprehensive breakdown of the entire game from story, to characters, to game play and those god-awful vehicle sections. No stone is left unturned as Resident Evil 6, the good and the bad, is taken to task by the REP team. Neptune cannot work out how we've evolved from searching for gold crests round a spooky old mansion to chasing evil clones round China in a Mazda MX5, whilst S.T.A.R.S_Tyrant builds up Derek Simmons as a potential Albert Wesker successor only to be dismayed by Capcom's ultimate resolution for him. Meanwhile, George Trevor searches hard for any positives about the game and TheBatman breaks down the overall plot and talks a bit about some of the new organisations and world-building aspects that add to the overall universe. But perhaps the biggest question remaining is where exactly can the series can go from here? So sit back, turn off the lights and relax. This is the big one...
Delving back into the archives once again we have for your listening pleasure our review of the very diversive Resident Evil 4; the game some say saved the franchise and others believe destroyed it. Originally recorded in April 2012 the news is dominated by more post-release reaction to Operation Raccoon City with the introduction of the timed exclusive Nemesis mode DLC for the XBox, prompting Neptune to enquire if we can get his tentacle out... Fittingly our community guest is Smiley; a man who very wisely invested his entire inheritance in bulk buying Operation Raccoon City in the hopes it would be a massive success. Needless to say he is still not a millionaire. We have a sub-discussion on the many beta builds of Resident Evil 4, discussing black fog, hookmen, Devil May Cry 4 and the influences of games such as Haunting Ground and Clock Tower. Early story builds included Spencer's sons and the origins of the Progenitor Virus which would have been much more agreeable to what we eventually got. For the main discussion, we go through the game from top to bottom, talking about the new gameplay style and controls, as well as the obvious switch to action from horror. We go through the characters and enemies, lamenting Umbrella's pre-credits demise and of course explain how the infamous boulder has eclipsed Albert Wesker as the series best recurring villain. Spoiler alert: Mr Spencer's favourite part of Resident Evil 4 is the fact that Jill is not in it.
Resident Evil actors for Albert Wesker, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton celebrate our 4th anniversary, as Peter Jessop, Joe Whyte, Ed Smaron exclusively feature. Commencing in the mansion bar Joe Whyte discusses his E3 2015 on location report from Capcom's Resident Evil 0 booth, including an exclusive statement from Rebecca Chambers actor Riva Di Paola. Afterwards in the mansion dining room we join Peter and Ed for our panel discussion. Drawing the night to a close our celebrity Resident Evil quiz with these leading actors from Resident Evil!
