It's Friday, which means Rob Jenners, Robert Horry, and B-Dog are back to clear the table on everything that didn't make it into Tuesday's show. Episode 138 of the Shoot Around goes hard on KD's revisionist history, the top NBA salaries heading into next season, and a rapid-fire rumor mill that covers LeBron, Ja Morant, the Knicks' title defense, and what San Antonio needs to stay dangerous. First up: Kevin Durant went on a Barstool podcast this week and tried to explain why he left OKC for Golden State back in 2016 — claiming the Warriors were basically underdogs when he showed up. The guys are not buying it. At all. Rob runs through the receipts: 73-9, the 67-win season before that, the title, the back-to-back three-point records. Big Shot Bob's verdict? KD just be talking. Then it's a quick trivia spin on the top 10 NBA salaries going into next year. Steph Curry sits at number one at $62.5 million — at 38 years old. The guys try to fill in the rest of the list: Jokic, Tatum, AD, Giannis, Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Devin Booker, KAT, and Jimmy Butler round it out. Luka, for the record, is not on it. From there it's rumor mill time. Is Ja Morant actually movable, or does that $42 million contract scare everyone off? How long before LeBron makes a call — and does he go back to the Lakers, consider Cleveland, or is there an outside shot he links up with Giannis in Miami? The Knicks just won a title but James Dolan's already drawing a line at the second apron, which means Clarkson, Robinson, and Shamet are probably all walking. And San Antonio: what exactly do the Spurs spend their $44 million in cap space on to get back to where they were in the Finals? Harp floats Dwight Howard as a San Antonio option. Rob closes his laptop. The show pretty much ends itself from there. New episodes of the Shoot Around drop every Friday. Netflix spent eight‑figure money locking up big audio brands like Bill Simmons, Pardon My Take and Barstool‑linked shows for an exclusive video podcast push, but a year in, insider reports say viewership is “low,” none of the series have cracked Nielsen's weekly top‑10 and internal sentiment is that the bet has not moved engagement.

In this episode, host David Nilsen talks with Ava J Holmes and Fiorella Richter, the founders of Women of Cacao, a global, bilingual network uniting professionals across sectors within cacao and craft chocolate: from genetics and farming to chocolate making and science. The work of Women of Cacao culminates each year in the Women of Cacao Summit, a hybrid virtual and in-person global gathering. At the summit, you can be part of a movement connecting thousands across the cacao world in a shared, values-driven experience. The founders and organizers see the summit as an invitation to see the industry through a wider lens, and to help shape what's next. This year's summit takes place September 17-20.In our conversation today, Ava and Fiorella speak to the rich history of women in cacao and chocolate, their own journeys to craft chocolate, and what folks can expect at this year's summit. You can learn more about Women of Cacao at their website, or on Instagram.Guests:Fiorella Richter Fiorella is the founder of Women of Cacao and Kaukawa Cacao, a Peru-based company working with native cacao varieties and origin-centered cacao experiences. Her work bridges cacao culture, sensory exploration, producer visibility, and regenerative approaches to cacao value chains. She is also a graduate of the Cacao of Excellence sensory evaluation program. Her approach explores how sensory evaluation and scientific tools can support greater visibility, recognition, and value creation for producers and origin countries.Ava J HolmesAva J. is a serial entrepreneur whose work blends on-the-ground activism, storytelling through creative mediums such as fashion and chocolate, and out-of-the-box social ventureship. Her work has been featured across major media outlets from The NY Times and Vogue to Discovery Channel and TED Talks.Ava co-founded Women of Cacao and Cacao Center, an educational center and research hub in the lower Amazon that explores wild cacao strains, medicinal plants, and regenerative agroforestry. Her team collaborates with local farmers, scientists, and conservationists to produce the region's first organic, ecologically-grown chocolate. For most Americans, the Fourth of July is a time of fireworks, festivity, and freedom, but if you're Joy Reid, it's another chance to try and stir up racial divisions. Barstool's Kayce Smith joins Will & The Crew to break down the disgraced former MSNBC host's comments about the annual celebration of our independence, before taking a look at the vast cultural gap between Texas and New York, Vice President J.D. Vance's odds of taking the Presidency in 2028, and the New York Times' recent attempts to redefine fatherhood and masculinity.Plus, Hosts of ‘Grillin' Across America' on FOX Nation, the McLemore Boys join the party to discuss World Cup visitors' obsession with Ranch dressing, the best states to get BBQ, and U.S. hockey star Brady Tkachuk being “exiled” from Canada.Subscribe to ‘Will Cain Country' on YouTube here: Watch Will Cain Country!Follow ‘Will Cain Country' on X (@willcainshow), Instagram (@willcainshow), TikTok (@willcainshow), and Facebook (@WillCainNews)Follow Will on X: @WillCain Learn more about your ad choices. Additionally, his wife and business partner, Melinda Guerra, is a freelance PR professional helping brands tell their stories and connect with media. Between the two of them, they'll be sharing what we've learned over their careers to help craft chocolate companies of any size identify their stories, communicate them to media members and outlets, gain new customers, and keep the ones they have curious. In part 1 today, David talks about why media relations are so important no matter the size of your chocolate business, and why you need to have a strategy for this. In upcoming episodes, we're going to explore how to build a media list, how to identify the stories you want to tell, how to create press releases and what to put in them, how to maintain media relationships, what to do when you get media coverage, and much more. The goal of all this is not to overwhelm you, but to walk you through how you Can do this, and why you should. One note: while a lot of what we'll talk about could apply to social media, and we will be hitting some specific aspects of social media, this series is focused on working with media members and outlets.Media Relations for Craft Chocolate Makers series:Podcast EpisodesWhy You Need a Media PlanHow to Identify Your StoriesHow to Build and Manage a Media ListHow to Write and Send a Press ReleaseHow to Maintain Media Relationships and Communicate New StoriesHow to Get Started, and Common PitfallsBlog PostsWhy You Need a Media PlanHow to Identify Your StoriesHow to Build and Manage a Media ListHow to Write and Send a Press ReleaseHow to Maintain Media Relationships and Communicate New StoriesHow to Get Started, and Common PitfallsCheck out David's book Pairing Beer & Chocolate: A Guide to Bringing the Flavors of Craft Beer and Craft Chocolate Together.Follow Bean to Barstool on social media!InstagramFacebookPinterestSign up for host David Nilsen's beer newsletter for regular beer musings, and the Bean to Barstool newsletter for pairings, collaborations, and maker profiles.

Zach sits down with Kevin and Annie, a married couple from Los Angeles who have built parallel careers in comedy, social media, and content creation while raising two kids and juggling a genuinely hectic life. Kevin is one half of the Dumb Dads, a social media comedy brand that has racked up viral moments and national media coverage, while also recently stepping into a finance job to add income stability. Annie is a story producer for non-scripted television and runs her own comedy account where she documents real parenting and relationship life with a voice that is sharp, honest, and very much her own. This is not a conversation about influencer culture. It is a conversation about two people who have made a shared philosophy out of not taking themselves too seriously, and what that actually looks like inside a marriage. What surfaces quickly is that Kevin and Annie's approach to comedy and their approach to their relationship are basically the same thing: find the seed of truth, name what other people are too embarrassed to name, and trust that the honesty will land. They talk about the chaos of the social media comment section, the difference between content that performs and content that resonates, and what it means to build something funny when half your audience is having a terrible day. Kevin walks through the arc of Dumb Dads going from a pandemic side project to Good Morning America to a grind where Instagram stopped paying for views and he quietly went back to a day job. Annie reflects on pulling down a video that made people feel bad, and how that one moment shaped her entire content philosophy going forward. But it is the stretch of conversation near the end of this episode that earns its MTR stripes. Annie mentions casually that she has been feeling unsettled since Kevin started working office hours again, that she asked him to call during lunch just to feel anchored. Kevin reflects on nine years of being the stay-at-home logistics parent and what it costs the family when that system changes. There is no drama here. There is just two people who know each other well enough to say the true thing plainly and trust that it will be received well. As Annie puts it: she always knows his intentions are good. That assumption, more than anything else they say, is the actual relationship advice.Key TakeawaysAssuming the best about your partner's intentions is a relationship skill, not just a personality trait. It is something Annie and Kevin have actively built. When someone fires off an angry comment online or walks into the room furious, Zach points out what he tells couples in his practice: every single comment is about the commenter. The content is almost never the real issue.Kevin and Annie's viral success came from naming the thing people were too embarrassed to admit. That works in comedy. It also works in relationships.Defensiveness and weaponized incompetence eventually cost you things you actually want. The Dumb Dads made that the punchline of a sketch. It holds up in real life too.Comedy and magic work the same way: draw people in with something familiar, then surprise them. Kevin applies this to his content, but the same principle shows up in how he and Annie talk through conflict without letting it calcify.Annie took down a video because enough people told her it made them feel bad. She did not argue the intent. She just acted. That kind of responsiveness, inside a marriage or outside of it, is how trust stays intact. When your domestic system changes, even for good reasons, the emotional math changes too. Kevin going back to office hours after nine years as the at-home parent created a gap neither of them saw coming, and they caught it early enough to name it.Not taking yourself too seriously is not the same as not caring. Kevin has been doing comedy intentionally since he was 18. He cares deeply. He just refuses to let the weight of it make everyone around him miserable.Guest InfoKevin is one half of the Dumb Dads, a social media comedy brand he runs with his co-creator Evan. The brand grew from a podcast and parenting sketch series started around 2020 into a multi-platform presence that has been covered by Good Morning America, ESPN, and Barstool. Kevin also works in operations at a wealth management firm and has appeared in commercials, including one for Lowe's.https://www.instagram.com/thedumbdads/Annie is a story producer for non-scripted television, with roughly a decade of credits on fishing competition shows including Wicked Tuna. She also runs her own comedy account focused on real, unfiltered parenting and relationship content.https://www.instagram.com/annielaferriere/ See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

It's NBA Finals week, Game 2 is tonight, and the Shoot Around boys are doing exactly what they do on Fridays — talking about everything except the thing you'd expect them to talk about. They kick things off with a listener correction from Twitter — turns out the Coach of the Year who got fired before the award came in was Dwayne Casey, not Lloyd Pierce (Rob was close). From there it's a full dive into the hero-to-villain arc: OKC went from everyone's favorite upstart to the team everyone wanted to see lose, almost overnight. Rob points to the Kansas City Chiefs as the gold standard of that flip — and SGA's habit of spending time on the floor didn't exactly help Oklahoma City's cause this year. Then it's a two-part debate: who should retire and go to the broadcast desk, and who do you wish had kept playing? Russell Wilson heading to the CBS pregame show kicks things off, and the guys run through Draymond, Klay Thompson (Rob thinks he'd surprise people), Mike Trout, and Jameis Winston — who they both agree has a big bag waiting for him somewhere, whether it's Barstool or a network couch next to Shannon Sharpe and Gronk. On the comeback side — Serena Williams is returning to play doubles at the HSBC Championships, which gets them talking about who they'd most want to see suit back up. Rob's answer: Pete Sampras. Casual greatness, no ego, just stroll in and handle business. Brandon picks Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson — two guys who deserved so much better than what Detroit gave them. And then the closer — the hot mic segment that was teased all week on Tuesday's show. LSU pitcher Devin Shearer gets warned by the umps, ESPN gets told to turn the field mics down, ESPN does not turn the field mics down. And then there's the Nebraska-Oklahoma State softball game, where an unidentified voice — still a mystery — delivered what might be the most unexpected phrase ever broadcast live on ESPN. Rob and Brandon's debate about who exactly says "ball sack" at a softball game is genuinely one of the funnier bits they've done. In this episode: OKC's hero-to-villain arc — and the Kansas City Chiefs comparison SGA's foul-baiting and why fans turned on Oklahoma City Russell Wilson heads to CBS — who else should retire and hit the desk? Klay Thompson as a broadcast sleeper pick Jameis Winston's future: Barstool or network TV? Shannon Sharpe and the importance of letting personalities breathe Serena Williams making her doubles comeback at HSBC Championships Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson — the ones who got away Rob Horry on Pete Sampras: the definition of casual greatness LSU's Devin Shearer hot mic moment — ESPN was warned The mystery 'ball sack' voice at the Nebraska-Oklahoma State softball game New episodes drop Tuesday and Friday. Hello and welcome back to All One Song, a Neil Young podcast presented by Aquarium Drunkard Transmissions with your host Tyler Wilcox. We've covered a lot of Shakey ground so far during seasons one and two, leaping from decade to decade, from era to era, from album to album. It's easy to do when you're dealing with a body of work that is so vast, spanning 60 years now. But somehow, we've yet to talk about any songs from Zuma. Neil fanatics — like our hero — can be an ornery, contrarian bunch. It would be tough to get them to agree on anything. But I think I'm safe in saying that everyone loves Zuma. If you don't … well, you're crazier than Crazy Horse. Here to help us unpack "Barstool Blues," one of the album's high points, is Matt Sweeney. Sweeney is one of those guys who is impossible to sum up. He's a musician who has been a part of so many great bands, projects and records over the years — Superwolf, Chavez, Guided by Voices, the Hard Quartet, Iggy Pop, Current 93, Cass McCombs, Andrew WK … the list goes on and on. He's a consummate collaborator, perhaps the only person alive to have played with both Johnny Cash and Endless Boogie…with both the Dixie Chicks and Baby Dee … with both Adele and Six Organs of Admittance. Matt also hosts the excellent Guitar Moves web series, which gets into fascinating discussions with a wide array of guitarists. Definitely dial it up when you get a chance; even if you don't play, it is always a blast. So pull up a stool and belly up, here's Matt Sweeney on "Barstool Blues."

Foundry Chocolate in New Zealand release only a single inclusion bar each year, but this annual release has become one of the hottest tickets in craft chocolate. Each fall (for the Northern Hemisphere—spring for NZ), they release a bar infused with a different whisky from artisan New Zealand distillery Thomson Whisky. Each year's release is a unique flavor concept, and co-founder David Herrick and his team spend time throughout the year perfecting each annual batch. In this nerdy, deep-dive conversation, David Herrick and host David Nilsen discuss the planning stages for each bar, walk through each annual release since 2021, and talk about the details of Foundry's process for infusing whisky into these bars. The Davids also talk about Foundry's origin story, the meaning behind their name, the thoughtful of their packaging, and what keeps them excited and curious. You can learn more about Foundry on their website, or follow them on Instagram. You can listen to episodes with New Zealander Luke Owen Smith here and here.1:00 - Introduction3:40 - Start of Interview: Foundry's backstory13:35 - The meaning of the name “Foundry”17:30 - Whisky and the Thompson Distillery21:50 - Whisky bar releases 2021-202542:45 - Whisky infusion process53:40 - Release events and enthusiasm54:55 - 2026 R&D57:50- What he's currently excited about1:06:55 - Packaging and the story Foundry is telling1:13:55 - End of interview1:20:40 - End of episodeGuest:David Herrick, along with his wife Janelle, are co-founders of Foundry Chocolate, a New Zealand-based bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker whose globally award-winning single origin, two ingredient bars make the flavor possible from single origins their absolute focus. Ryan Wrecker brought on author and former political strategist Patrick Dorinson during this segment to discuss his latest book, The Common Sense Cowboy's Guide to Life: Stories from the Trail, the Barstool, and Everywhere In Between. The Cowboy Way vs. Modern ChaosThe interview centered on applying timeless, rugged principles to navigate today's tumultuous political and cultural landscape:The Core Philosophy: Dorinson, known online as @thecowboylibertarian, explained that his book serves as a "Will Rogers meets Mark Twain" guide. He emphasized how transitioning from political strategy to the cowboy way taught him that life doesn't pay attention to clocks, calendars, or modern societal anxiety.Wisdom Over Fancy Degrees: Dorinson and Wrecker discussed the massive divide between institutional knowledge and real-world wisdom. He emphasized one of his core rules: "A fancy education might gain you some knowledge, but only hard life experiences will gain you wisdom. A PhD won't help you fix a flat tire."Personal Accountability: The segment focused heavily on the breakdown of accountability in current American culture. Dorinson walked through his rules for doing the right thing when nobody is watching, the finality of breaking trust, and why people need to stop wasting time on the "couldas, shouldas, and wouldas" and get busy with the "doin'."Skeptical View of Politics: Drawing from his political background, Dorinson shared a humorous but cynical piece of cowboy wisdom regarding modern leaders: "If you shake hands with a politician, be sure to count your fingers when you let go to make sure you still have all five

Kevin O'Leary struck a nerve with younger internet users when he called out indulgent lunch expenditures, but does he have a point, or is it just more “boomer slop” (as Tinfoil Pat puts it)? Will and The Crew are joined by Barstool's Jack Mac, Host of 'Unpack With Jack Mac,' to break down the internet's outrage over Mr. Wonderful's concerns surrounding Gen Z's financial habits, before taking a look at yet another heater to come out of Maine's Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner's Reddit account. Chris Williams delivers a solo deep dive into the future of college sports, media, streaming, and why the current system may be headed for a complete shakeup.
Ken and Lima open the Eastern Conference Finals preview by asking whether Cleveland fans are actually more comfortable as underdogs against the Knicks than they ever were as the team with expectations, while acknowledging that nobody outside Northeast Ohio is giving the Cavs a serious shot in this series. The Detroit revenge tour is a side dish worth savoring — the Guardians and Cavs both beat up on Detroit in the same 24-hour window, sending a Barstool media personality into a full meltdown, and Ken is feeling genuinely nostalgic about having a real Cleveland-Detroit rivalry to enjoy again. The real intrigue heading into Game 1 at MSG is whether Donovan Mitchell, who has historically torched the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, uses this matchup to have the biggest series of his Cavs tenure — because the personnel in front of him looks a lot more favorable than what Toronto and Detroit threw at him.
